Highly Highly recommended. She's amazing! So funny and really helpful. We spent the entire semester talking about chap stick, converse shoes, partying, her kids... Basically just random stuff. This professor is awesome! I hate math and had to take remedial as a freshman. At first I thought she was mean but she's exactly the opposite. Amazing professor! Her notes are well written. She is very excited about math. She always say that she is having fun teaching. She gives you study guides and she provides step by step answers to quizzes and test after she gives them back. I always left smiling and feeling happy.

If math isn't your best subject, talk to her because she is willing to work with you. Attendance is important and tutoring with her is essential if you need extra help. In the beginning of MATH 1000 I was struggling. I told Professor Leverette that I was struggling. She showed me to tutoring. She had faith in me that I would pass the class. I ended up with a good grade. I would recommend her to anyone. She also has a great sense of humor in the classroom.

Professor Leverette is the greatest Math professor at Kean. She is super silly, kind, but most importantly HELPFUL. She tells you exactly what you need to know and doesn't make you study for unnecessary things like most professors. I took Math 1000 THREE times and failed it before taking it with Professor Leverette. I was frustrated and ready to give up because every other Math 1000 professor sucks. Once I took Prof. Leverette she made everything so EASY and her lessons were hilarious! I went from FAILING it THREE times to receving a B! She's amazing and so funny! TAKE HER!

The only reason this course is difficult is because of the amount of work that's given, but aside from that, Prof. Leverette makes it fun and easy. DEF one of my favorites,if not my favorite, professor I had in my first semester. Knows her material well and I was able to access her outside of class. Hilarious professor and bubbly personality. Definitely take notes and pay attention in class. Tests and quizzes are fairly easy, if you study and do online homework.

I have taken math1000 with 2 other professors at kean and none of them compare to her. Shes always there to answer your questions and really breaks it down so you understand it. Amazing teacher, the only way NOT to pass the class is to not care. If you do your homework and study for test and quizzes (she makes them VERY clear and easy to understand) then you will pass easy-peasy. Her teaching style is a little odd, sometimes shell get off topic, but, its these random life lessons and tidbits make her class much better.

I like Leverette as a person and professor but math isn't my thing tbh. You're likely to pass even if you aren't the best at math. I currently have a b- and the two part final coming up. If you do all the homework correctly and study for the exams you should pass. She emails the notes so you have plenty of study resources.

The class was fun overall but lectures moved really fast. If math is not your strong field I suggest you study and dedicate more time to the class. Homework & quizzes were posted on MathLab and were great preparation for the in-class exams. Tutoring is available for those who need it but does not answer emails.

Professor Leverette is quite possibly the most entertaining professor at Kean. She finds a way to make Math fun while breaking down everything. I always find myself leaving her class feeling happy because she always ends on a funny note. She actually cares about her students and gets to know their likes/dislikes.

I didn't understand algebra at all in high school, so I was terrified to take this class, but I ended up doing really well thanks to Professor Leverette! She posts all her notes and offers tutoring. You have to buy mymathlab in order to do the quizzes and homework, but it's worth it. You get many chances to redo the questions if u get a bad score.

Mrs Leverette is a great professor who cares about her students a lot. As long as you do the HW and quizzes and try on the test you should be good. Attendence does matter because she wants people to show up to class and learn. She does a great job teaching and giving notes online. Also her son Darius is amazing and she educated us about autism.
