Very interesting, funny, and knowledgeable...great class

Easy to understand and helpful

easy course, TA's are good, exams are multiple choice, a lot of extra credit. all you got to do is study, and be willing to give some time up to do extra credit work. it's worth it. finals are optional - they're make up tests.

good teacher, funny in class, very clear, easy tests all multiple choice and lots and lots of extra credit. you really have to be dumb to fail this class or even get a bad grade

Great Professor. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, a great mentor. Interested in his students and invested in his career. Not only a teacher, but a mentor and leader.

awesome teacher.. attendance is taken, but you're allowed 5 free absences which is definitely good -- very easy to take notes off of his lectures, and he brings psych to a level students can relate to (with humor) -- lot of E.C. opportunities - take notes

if you're taking psyc 101, DEFINITELY take it with dr. badin --- easy to take notes for, easy to study for, easy A if you try a bit.. and hes pretty f* funny

Almost impossible to fail this class. He gives you many opportunities for extra points and gives make up exams instead of final. Good lecturer and funny sometimes too.

He is awesome. I loved taking his course, very nice funny guy. ITs professors like him that make you want to be a psych major !!

I LOVE Dr. Badin! Definitely take him for psychology if you have the opportunity. He is my favorite professor so far because he made the subjects easy to understand, easy to take notes on, and funny, plus he gave lots of opportunity for extra credit. A++

Take this teacher!! Very energetic and funny. You will learn a lot about yourself and about human nature. Always had something interesting to say. Loved his teaching style.

Being in this guy's class was like going to a comedy show. He used the material well by making funny examples of it. He is a character. The class was well taught. If you are to take a psyc class, take this guy.

Dr. Badin is a great professor. Extremely knowledgable and clear. Class is very interesting and funny, & you have plenty of easy extra credit opportunities. I got 70s on every test and got an A+ from extra credit. Good teacher overall, Highly Recommended.

he's a character,swore and cursed in class-but all in good fun. Made the material easy to understand.Lots of extra credit options given- I averaged C's on the exams, but put in a little extra work and got an A- in the class. overall, decently recommended

I love the class and love Dr. Badin. He has a great sense of humor, makes the material really interesting and seems to really enjoy teaching! I hope I get the opportunity to take another class of his in the future. Overall he's a interesting and entertaining teacher!

He makes psychology so interesting! Some people may not like him because they probably didn't study for his tests. He does curse a lot in class but he tells you right off the bat, if you don't like it then you can leave. Gives many extra credit assignments. If you study and do E.C you will pass.

I love his class!! He is uch a great teacher! Besides that he is constantly cracking on someone for what they did or said. There is no way you cannot enjoy his class. Its pretty easy, and he helps you in so many different ways. I'm real upset now that I wont have him anymore.

makes the class somewhat interseting s. study the lecture notes and youll do fine on the tests. even if youget a 70 on the test do all the easy online e.c. like the quizzes and discussion boards. show up and its an easy A.

He was a great professor. I just took this class for fun and he made the experience worthwhile. fantastic teacher. will say anything in class, open minded, hot assistants, and seems to hate failing people. so much extra credit on tests you can bring a c- to an a+ no problem. also learn alot of weird stuff

He's SPECTACULAR! He's also brilliant,funny,great entertainer,precise, and very cool. If you do all the extra credit work you'll get an A or B in the class. 4 Tests, but based strictly on notes so go to class as much as possible, it's worthwhile, he challenged my thinking and I'm taking up Psyc now!

Really awesome teacher, lots of extra credit so even if you get a C you will probably end up with an A. Not to hard either just pay attention in class and you shouldn't have to study that hard for the test. Only 4 tests and 1 small easy paper.

I LOVE HIM!! Although his class requires a lot of notes, they really do help when taking the test. He gives out A LOT of extra credits which will totally booast a F to an A!! He has a great personality and really funny. Don't regret and take his class!

AMAZING PROF. This man is funny, very clear, and extremely intelligent. BEST PROF YOU COULD TAKE FOR PSYCH. His lectures are interesting and go by fast. A million easy ways to get extra credit; it's impossible to do badly in his class. Take notes & pay attention, that's it. DEFINITELY TAKE HIM!

Amazing Professor. Dept. Head. He is clear and lectures are not a bore. It is exactly what is on the test. There is 4 tests and a 2 pg paper. There is extra credit opp for every test. Everyone I knew in the class got a good grade! Take him VERY WORTH it!

His lectures are not a bore and there are tons of ways to earn extra credit. Sometimes I had 20 bonus points before even taking the test. He is an awesome professor and really down to earth. I would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in taking the course.

This professor makes psychology come alive. Dr. Badin is truly inspirational and provides a interactive learning environment. His lecturers combine theoretical and persoanl insight. I sometimes wonder if I had not had him as a professor if I would have continued and become a counselor. Thank you Dr. Badin.

Dr. Badin is an amazing professor. His lectures include examples, class discussions and clear points about the subject. Tests are multiple choice and essay--study both the book and notes. He is funny, nice and very smart! Take him!!

This prof isn't so bad, has a temper though, LOL. Just take notes, pay attention to his class, and of course DO HIS EXTRA CREDIT. I got mostly C's on his tests but with my extra credit points i got an A for the class. 4 exams and 1 writing assingment and 2 experiments. A lot of notes but class is pretty easy if you study, you'll do well!

GREAT TEACHER! He makes the class lively, he speaks to you on your level. Lectures are clear and very understandable. Would take him for my entire Psychology classes if possible!! Go for him!

i would recommend him to anyone taking psych!! if you go to class, take notes, and do all the extra credit their is no way you can fail - soo much easy extra credit! hes a really cool guy, doesnt talk down to you, and curses lol def take him

Badin is the best! There is no way you can possibly get lower than a C in this course, maybe if you never show up.. and you should. So many ways to get extra credit. He's so cool, and makes class very interesting! Loved it! Highly recommend.

Tons and tons of extra credit. I found the class was kind of boring but psychology is not my major. 4 tests plus a optional final to take the place of a low test grade. And 1 paper. Not that bad of a class.

you can tell the guy has so much experience! he is very smart... not my favorite teacher at msu,but definitely pretty good, lots of extra credit, hard to even get a C in his class... if you do ur a retard!

Wonderful professor. The tests are MC and a bit tricky, but I prefer essay tests. I learned a lot from this class, but would have preferred a different text. I felt that the text was very Psych 101ish. Otherwise, it was a great class!

GREATTTT prof. Helps students, knows exactly what he's talking about and really opens your mind. Great discussions. Uses a keypad for attendance and tests. 4 tests, no mandatory final, powerpoint teacher. TAKE HIM.

Dr. Badin is an awesome prof. His class is impossible to fail, he gives so much extra credit. 4 tests, 1 optional paper and optional final. His tests are easy if you read the book and look over powerpoint slides posted on blackboard. I learned so much about my life in this class, he relates every subject to real life. DEF take him!

Badin is a really down to earth guy. He curses like a sailor, but it just makes class more interesting. He gives out extra credit everywhere and his tests can be tricky if you don't read the book. All in all, i think he's quite the interesting professor.

Very good teacher. Curses alot, but keeps your interest. MUST HAVE THE BOOK! All of his tests are from the book, but he gives you loads of extra credit. VERY VERY HARD to fail. No final, No midterm, 2 small papers (1-2pg). Good Class, Take him.

dr. badin IS psychology. don't graduate without taking him! 3 70-question multiple choice exams (you MUST read the book). mini-reports (do well on these, the effort you put in will be incredibly rewarding, experience-wise). attendance mandatory, case studies presented by diff psychiatrists. interesting stuff!! this class rocked my socks.

One of the best psych teachers!!! The class is very interesting and he is extremely funny. He curves all the test and wants everyone to pass his class. Do all of the mini-reports that can really help your grade in the end. READ THE TEXT or u will fail all the test. Defintely take him!!

He is interesting but at times can be full of himself. The material is interesting and I plan to be a psych major. He knows a lot and obviously has taught this class a lot. He just needs to get over thinking that he knows all the answers and that sometimes other peoples opinions that differ from his can also be right.

He is very entertaining and seems to have a very good grasp of the subjects covered. He just needs to realize that he doesn't know everything and perhaps others can contribute something even though their opinions may not agree with his. Overall I think he needs to not make it appear like he has taught this class before and knows all the answers

Damn,people are harsh on Dr. B.The facts are that this guy is dedicated to his profession,he is entertaining/witty,and offers endless chances for his students 2 suceed.If you want to someone to hold your hand and pat your butt,Dr. B is not for you.If you want to learn something about psych, the & gain self awareness,then his class is worth taking!

this is the best class i have taken at MSU and have learned the most about psychology, the class is amazing, hes great, funny, honest, intellgient, one of the best professor's at MSU

Prof B conveys his material very clearly. His tests cover not only his lectures but the chapters in the book. Maybe if some of these other students tried studying the book as well and not wishing the professor will spoonfeed them the material, they would have done better. MANY chances to earn a higher grade. Highly recommended. Interesting class.

Awesome professor., lectures are very interesting. Tests are pretty difficult and he takes material from the text. uses a clicker to take attendance and tests but its actually is pretty cool. LOTS of easy extra credit.

ok..book iS DEF needed. he is brillant, funny, and extremely talented in his field..BUT his tests are SOOOO hard..class average for 1st test was a 56 and theres over 100 people in there! the "tons" of extra credit brings your 60 test grade to a 70..so be CAREFUL. i have a 3.9pga and i'm struggggling...but extremely interesting class.

He was a cool professor, and definately knew his stuff. If you want to learn psych, take him. Attendance is mandatory but class goes by fast. Also you need to buy the book and the keypad for this class.

Extremely intelligent and knowledgeable of his subject. There's a midterm (all essay) and a final (multiple choice and one essay). There are 6 reaction papers and 2 written assignments. The readings are interesting and you do not need to buy the book. Just make sure you go to class and take good notes as his tests are straight from the notes.

ok, i started off with 60's on his test but after reading solely the chapter over and over i ended up with 98's on his tests and got an final A. therefore, the secret is to READ THE CHAPTERS! dont fall into studying "just the slides". but aside from the hardness, badin himself is amazing. SO MUCH FUN, energetic, helpful, and very easy to approach!

Dr. Badin is a great teacher. He is funny and really knows his material. Tons of extra credit to boost your grade. 5 tests, one paper worth 2 extra points on your final grade and the final is optional. I would recommend him but you have to study.

i defiantly recommend taking him. he is extermly helpful and gives tons of extra credit. after each test there is an online exam which is not hard as long as you pay attention in class. If you read the chapters youll get an A but evven if you dont you can still do good

Great professor! His lectures are lots of fun and he knows a lot. Although his test are hard, if you read the textbook you'll do fine. But you have to read!!! Also, he gives lots of bonus pts to boost ur grades. TAs are helpful. Take it and learn!!

He is a really great teacher. Test are difficult, but he tells you that the first day of class. His lectures are really interesting but you MUST READ THE BOOK!

He's real funny and really knows what hes taking about. The test are hard at first but once you get use to it there not that bad. The books a lot of money but you NEED to buy it. Other then the book being a weeks pay i highly recommend this class. You leave learning a little bit more about yourself each day.

Great guy, great professor. Class was very interesting, especially the discussion part-you walk away with some interesting life lessons. Some people complain that his exams are hard, but all you have to do is make sure you keep up with the readings in the book. Def. recommend him!

Absolutely loved this class. It is absolutely amazing. He is a great professor and is extremely engaging. There are 11 tests lowest one gets dropped. 2 essay tests and a final and there are so many chances to earn extra credit. its near impossible to fail this class.

favorite professor i've had in college. if you listen and read you'll do fine. i didn't read and still got a b-. do all the extra credit you can, it really helps, and he gives a lot.

He is easily the best professor i have had in college! he is funny and fantastic and really love teaching.He's available when you need him to be and he makes complicated things so much more clear!

Take him, especially if you're a psych major. He's funny, clear and teaches in a great way. I loved going to his classes. You will learn and never be bored. He's very accommodating and very clear about exactly what he wants. Plenty of opportunities to get an A.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU WANT SOMETHING EASY! This class you have to read the textbook, take notes in class and there are essays as well as a test for every chapter. HOWEVER, this class was the most rewarding class i have ever experienced and he is such a fair and sweet man. He truly cares for the students that try in his class.

Great professor overall, if you really actually put in effort into this class you will do well. Most people only do poorly because they fail to listen to the professor's instructions, but in reality he is a very helpful and clear teacher!

He's a teddy bear. And had online quizzes for my class every week so it was a granted 100. I heard that he started making them in class though.. Super nice, will NOT let you leave the room and will point you out if he sees you on your laptop or phone. Has very interesting topics and stories integrated into the class as well as fun surveys.
