The concepts covered in this class are fairly straightforward and everything is covered thoroughly to insure everyone understands. If you show up to class and copy down the models you will have do fine. The professor is extremely easy to get in touch with and willing to stay after class to clarify anything you don't understand.

Professor Patterson is one of the most unique teachers that I have ever taken. He uses humor indirectly to keep attention on an otherwise bland topic. Whenever someone doesnt understanding a topic in lecture, Professor Patterson took the time to help the student understand. He doesnt make lecture boring, in fact quite the opposite but takes the class seriously. He goes back and forth between the text and notes which makes it earlier to understand. Also doing the graphs also helps.

MICRO Fall 2018 I took Macro online and after doing not so great I decided to take Isaacs class and it was the best choice I couldve made! You wont feel as though youre being overworked and he finds ways to give you points on quizzes/tests. If you show up, follow along, youll do just fine.

Prof Patterson is great in the classroom. He cares about his students and knows the information he is teaching. There is minimal work needed to be done outside of class but you are responsible for studying the information as quizzes happen every class. Overall enjoyed this class and professor!

Macro economics i thought was going to be a difficult class due to the professor I had had before. This class you will read the material just like any other, but the professor here actually gives real feedback and meaningful lectures. He's willing to work with schedules and give as much help as possible both inside and outside the class.

Spring 2019 Macro PM I really enjoyed taking this class. I didn't have a background in economics, but I found that I came out with a better understanding because of Professor Patterson. Professor Patterson can be unorganized at times but is clear on what he expects out of you & what will be on Mid-term & final, gives multiple extra credit opportunities. I am currently taking ECON201(AM) and ECON202(AM) with Professor Patterson. His lectures are easy to follow along, even for a biology major. I never felt overwhelmed taking both classes at the same time. He gives ample chances for extra credit making it a hard class to fail as long as you are present, mentally and physically.

I took Professor Patterson for Econ 202. He is one of the best professors at HACC. Professor Patterson takes time to make sure students understand the material.

I took professor Patterson in Fall 2022 for an evening class. He made the lectures interesting and easy to follow. Quizzes and exams were doable if you paid attention in class and reviewed notes. Overall it was a great class!

He is a good professor. Goes over everything pretty well, I just personally have a hard time understanding the material. Takes awhile to grade things. Sometimes takes awhile to start class.

He was a funny dude, but when it came to grades.... GOOD LUCK. My man would have 2 big test, and they are 100 points each. He lectured, and then would have to read the text to get goods grade. He was a funny guy, but the grades are hard to get.

Would definitely take him as a professor again. Always willing to help.

Wonderful professor!!! He explains and demonstrates all the material very clearly. We had weekly quizzes (10 points), 4 short articles (20 points), midterm and final exams (100 points), and generous opportunities to earn bonus points. Professor Patterson is very nice and has a great sense of humor. 100% would take this course again!

Although its a longer class, its very easy to pay attention and usualy flys by. The exams are a little difficult but their is many extra credit oppurtunities.

He is a great professor. He knows what he is talking about and is able to put it in real life terms. My only complaint is that he is not the best at responding outside of class and not fully clear on feedback sometimes. Otherwise, I would definitely take him again and he makes lectures enjoyable (who knew that would be possible...).

He's really great at what he does and he is very understanding. Replies well to emails and he tries helps the best he can. The class is very laid back and as long as you pay attention to the lecture and take the notes as he goes through class you should have no problem getting a good grade.

Lectures are great and really help to understand the material. Professor is very knowledgeable and has really made me enjoy this class. It was a class that I was scared to take but after having him for Econ 201 I knew I would be able to understand and like Micro. He is hands down the best.

Professor Patterson is a great professor, he makes the class entertaining and easy to follow. He teaches the material very well and is always ready to provide tips and tricks for both the class material and real world application in business. He does not give excess/unnecessary homework and has a nice exam schedule.

I wish I had him as my professor before. The exams are high points but don't sweat it, he reviews anything you don't understand before the exam. He also gives extra credit. Attendance is highly recommended. He gives participation points. He is also funny. Makes the lecture relatable and understandable.
