He is an excellent professor. He has a lot of knowledge. He loves History. He is very nice. He helps a lot their students. You will have to read a lot if you want to get an A.
Great lectures and knows a lot about history. He's very blunt and rude which makes going to class very tedious. Tests and quizzes are hard if you don't read.
Treats a basic history class like a doctorates class. Theres no need for how rude he is at times or how he makes the students read the PowerPoints, adding nothing to it. Little to no help after class and youre basically on your own. Also proud of being a tough teacher just because he can. All I can say is good luck :/
Great teacher. He is very specific with the type of work that he wants. Reading is critical in this class, if you do not do it, you will not pass. However, he does provide help when asked for it. His class was a very challenging course, but it will prepare you for other college level classes.
He does his job very well.
Mr. Isaac Pietrzak is the best teacher in Sa3. Hes funny, hardworking, and is almost as smart as I am. Very understanding of ISS situations. Allows high school mistakes to not affect post secondary education. I would totally recommend but. Nah. Still messed up my sleep schedule.
Although it's a summer class, there's excessive reading and writing. Exams would have been easier if they were multiple choice.
He knows his stuff he's a tough teacher more than other instructors that I have taken. He expects you to read and to write a lot. It might have been easier if it weren't taken during summer.
I took his class during summer 1. He the best history teacher at South Texas College. He explains everything from top to bottom, he helps out a lot if you need it.... I would totally take him again, he also makes his lectures interesting and fun! Beware that this class involved all of read and writing.
Great Professor, knows his stuff. Do not recommend this class during the summer, there is a significant amount of information that you will have to take in and understand. I would have been less stress out during a regular semester. Although it was a tough class, I would definitely choose him as my professor.
There is a difference when someone has the "juice" and when someone has the "sauce". Juice lasts for about a week in your refrigerator, but sauce lasts in there for months, even years. Mr. Pietrzak has the sauce. The things you learn in this class will stick with you and the content is very interesting. DO NOT TAKE IN THE SUMMER.
Mr. Pietrzak its really good, he go all over the chapters and explain it to you very well, he know a lot of history compered to other professor I have taken. I take this class in the summer so the things that you supposedly read in one moth you do it in one week, so DON'T take this class in summer, but he still give you a lot of consideration.
He showed our class how college was going to be like and prepared us for the difficult courses ahead of us. Although his course was difficult, it has reached me time management and it was fun :)
Hes a strict but fair teacher he gives you every opportunity to get a good grade in the class but its up to you to take his help.
Cool man
Pretty good! Lectures are informative and connect ideas, he makes sure you are paying attention to what he is saying. You need to read, some things you have to search up on your own time and are not included, dont slip up !
Youll get results.
Mr. Pietrzak has proven to be one of the best professors I've ever had. Even though he tends to make his assignments some what challenging and makes you work for your grade, he ultimately cares about your academic success and will try to help you in any possible way.
It requires a lot of reading.
This class makes you work for your grade and you wont pass if you do not read. If you read and retain the information, then a good grade wont be difficult to earn.
Its a lot of reading, lots of work but he does it because he cares about what you are learning. I probably care more about your grades than you do- pietrzak. He gives extra credit opportunities. And tries to prepare you for the future as best as he can.
This class has shown that reading is the only way to get a good grade, especially in this class. You dont read, you wont do good. He has inspired me to pursue history in college because of his love and passion; he made me aware of how interesting history can be if you see it from different perspectives. But when he lectures mad, I change my mind.
This class was definitely challenging and sometimes stressful, but it wasn't impossible. This class does require a lot of hard work and time to earn a good grade. Be expected to read every chapter unless you want to fall behind. It will become challenging to maintain a good grade if you are not putting effort in every assignment.
Great teacher, tough personality and hard to please.
When this professor lectures in a good mood, I fall in love with History and made me want to study History in college. However, it was like that for a week altogether. The professor would spend the majority of the class time getting mad at us for the actions of a handful of people and then lecturing for 20min. leaving it up to us learn the content.
At the beginning the class is alright, then it starts to get more difficult. For my class he used to change a lot the way he teached, whether it was the notes, lectures or homeworks. If I didnt finish reading the chapter, I would not be prepared for class, since he would ask randomly questions. Hes difficult, strict, and rarely nice.
He's a very tough professor and very hard to please. He will make you feel as if you were only taking his and only his class.
He was the best history teacher I've ever had, but he isn't worth it unless you're majoring in history. It's too much work, he grades too strictly, and wants things early in the week. I had to read and recall every chapter in detail. I had him online but we'd still meet and he would just cancel class if he didn't think a majority read the chapter.
Pietrzak is a good professor, gives a healthy amount of work and assignments and requires you to read for his class. The class in itself is good and he makes himself available for everyone, whenever. Gives a lot of opportunities to succeed and lots of extra credit. Biggest negative thing to say is that he treats the class as if its the only class.
Prof. Pietrzak is a good prof, but his class can be challenging. For in-class lectures, it was tough because if not enough ppl read the chapter, the class immediately ended, which didn't help if you did read the chapter. You HAVE to read every chapter or you will be lost and do badly on the exams. He can be tough but he has good intentions :)
Good teacher, your grades will reflect the amount of effort you put into the class.
History is quite useless in terms of real life, but this class is decently informative, and mediocre all around. He is a great professor, and teaches extremely well, but no one takes it seriously, therefore he stops taking it seriously after a while, and begins to rant to his classes about how one class didn't read the textbook, etc. Save yourself.
Mr. Pietrzak is a great teacher he explains everything super well and cares for his students. His test are long but you they are open notes so if you have your notes youll do fine.
Hes the best!
Works with you for dc students, read read read, beware of his moods, take notes, writing heavy, can be patronizing and entitled, if you survive him good on you.
Overall the class is pretty great. Put in work and youll get a good grade; dont and you wont
Just do the minimum amount of work, and youll get an A. He basically gives the answers through the study guides, if you take the maybe two hours out of your week it takes to actually do them, youll ace the tests. Anyone who got a C didnt bother actually doing any of the work, and shouldnt be complaining because they didnt get a good grade.
A good class with a fun teacher, the class is as hard as you make it. If you read the textbook and make notes youll have no problems passing.
Good professor but it is important to study the material and write down notes if you want to pass attendance is important as well as completing task on time.
He's dope. He shows us what some work can do to our grades, his class is easy if you pay attention and it is only hard if you don't do the homework. Overall the toughest part of the class is keeping up with the due dates
Mr. Pietrzak is a good professor who gets down to the point without making it boring, his class is very easy to pass if you do all your notes and meet deadlines. He wears shirts that match the lesson try to catch the note of that you'll know what you'll be learning about in advance. BEWARE of hand cramps!! you WILL get them with this class
I took History 1301 with Professor Pietrzak during the Summer session. Prof. Pietrzak wasn't all about his own class content, he also helped students with developing better academic habits on the side. By showing us the effectiveness of note-taking he has allowed us to experience what good note-taking can accomplish. I Recommend taking this class.
Isacc Pietrzak is a great professor to have. He elaborates his lectures so you can have more understanding and he connects events with today's world situations. He is always available for any questions, and he lets you know what you need to do to pass the class. He knows how to make history sound fun.
Great professor loves to talk a lot and get into the deep details of history. Knows his history very well, and has great manners. Summer class was not difficult.
the class needs lots of reading, but if you do the work you'll pass, classes are interesting:)
Great professor, tough but overall helps you out and gives wonderful lectures.
The teacher gives amazing lectues and cares about his students passing the class!
If you ever take him, ask him about the 5 C's, it's something else indeed
Collaborate with students that study ask questions and write notes. The professor can be intimidating/funny. Ask him about Naruto and/or his funkopops. Get ready to read, I recommend breaking up the assignments throughout the week for best results.
he was ok
Lots of work.
Can improve the way he calls people out.
Very creative when it came to teaching and really entertaining.
great
he's so cool. nothing much to say that he's cool
best teacher @ sa3
Deal with his attitude and you'll learn everything and anything you need to know about history.
he is cool and carying
he smart
He is goofy
Pretty chill unless. if you have loud classmates or people who just don't stop talking he could force you to take the quizzes. The class was easy just focus and relax when you have time. Never pay attention to your classmates you might miss something. It's also very tiring at times.
if you read and do work class isn't hard but he takes some comments way too seriously
Pietrzak is the most divisive teacher I've seen in years, but, in my opinion, he's also one of the best teachers I've seen. To explain, a good person has to be kind and caring, however a good TEACHER must be authoritative and strict, otherwise students would be loud and chaotic. Pietrzak is the personification of what a teacher should be.
Throughout every class was unique to its own identity making every day fun to learn history he also taught us the importance of note taking and reading at a college level which really got us college readiness
He cares for the students very much as he wants us to pass since he frequently makes us participate in the lectures. His teaching skills are elaborate and understandable. He teaches everything with the same style and never fails us to learn due to his deep interest in the subject. Do not worry about the class as long as you take notes.
Mr. Pietrzak is flexible in working during date out if needed as long as communication is present. Communication with the professor helps him know how to work with classes weaknesses in the subject.
He is one of, if not the best history instructor, I have ever taken. He is always prepared, focused, has a plan for your learning, and truly cares that we understand the content. He is available outside of class and gives us everything we need to be successful. The rest, he says, is up to us.
Very thorough professor, teaches what is needed and explains assignments. Dedicated in teaching and making sure his students do the best they can. Although a bit strict, he is lenient if you have a valid excuse. Lots of work and reading for class, but if done you can get an amazing grade. Overall, cool teacher that is knowledgeable and passionate.
Great teacher, he has amazing lectures and makes you completely understand the lecture.
This professor has a very well structured course. Outside of class students are expected to read the textbook chapters so that it can be discussed during lecture. The class is adapted to be manageable for high school students as they transition into college courses. Overall good professor, very understanding.
Pretty good professor
Mr.Pietrzak is a good teacher and does care about the students' understanding of the material.
He is the best professor I have had. He takes a lot of interest in what he teaches and wants nothing but the best for his students. He gives clear instructions about what he wants and it is not difficult to do your part on studying and learning the material. I would not take again , but I would gladly go and have a conversation with him.
Caring but strict teacher.
Pietrzak gives you the college experience as a Duel-Credit professor and is not one to give excuses too. Getting the work done and following the instructions he gives you will let you pass the course. He's very generous when it comes to extra credit but you will be expected to do work for it. Just do the work and don't try to cheat in his course.
Professor Pietrzak is an amazing professor. He is very clear and is always willing to answer questions relating to the class. He helps students take a genuine interest not only in U.S. History, but history in general. Challenging, but I never felt worried about my grade while taking his course. If you read and follow the "5 C's", it's an easy A.
He was an excellent professor.
He was a cool teacher, and challenged me to improve my study skills. I learned more than I thought I would walking into the class, and learned how to handle my time better.
Great Teacher with respectable demands and exceptions. Has a good teaching style but the student is expected to do time consuming work.
A great lecturer, really absorbs you into history. You can tell he loves history and being able to educate young minds. If you do the notes you will be perfectly fine.
Make sure to do the paper, the quizzes, & dooo your notes
Would take this professor again easy work you just have to do your part. Work consist of studying off of the study guide. He gives extra credit opportunity for writing notes and also provides extra credit to apply to final grade.
Great class I really enjoyed! The class is an easy A if you are willing to do notes. I would really recommend.
Overall a great professor! So lucky to be in his class. He is really passionate about history which makes it so easy to learn from him. He is also very organized and responds quickly. Loved his class so much!!
Professor Pietrzak is probably one of the best professors. You can tell he likes to teach History just by the way he gives his lectures. If you do get him, don't get him in the summer, he does give out a lot of homework especially since it was a summer class, and he also gives lots of extra credit. His work is very easy though, u shouldn't fail.
