she offers lots of extra credit. just participate in the discussion and do the online quizzes to retain info. u get to drop the lowest quiz score and she gives logical examples that we can relate to. otherwise common sense stuff.

I learned a lot in this class. The teacher was helpful and had special review sessions for students having problems. This is a good teacher. I recommend this class.

Very knowledgeable on her subject, definitely a good teacher. Grades easy on tests and midterms, easy A if you show up to class regularly.

The class was hard at first, but I met with the prof outside class several times, and the class got easier. I like this prof a lot. She knows her stuff and she helps a lot if you go meet with her. Economics is fun.

I liked the issues discussed. There was a lot of class participation. The teacher repeats concepts and will rewrite things on the board if ask for it. I found this a very educational class. The teacher was very nice.

Took a telecourse w/Dr. Edwards. Very good communication over email and very clear instructions for the course with a few easy opportunities to earn extra credit.

The subject matter in the class was tough but she made the class interesting. The only problem I had was that she was too linent on the slacker students. She allowed to many extensions on the date that homework must be turned in.

I HAD TO WORK HARD IN THIS CLASS. BUT I FOUND THE CLASS INTERESTING. THE TEACHER WAS VERY HELPFUL.

I took Econ 101, 102, 100 and 199 (directed studies) with Dr.Edwards. She is an enthusiastic and responsible teacher who is always willing to assist students. Her classes has prepared me well for my further education at a four-year school. As long as you work hard, you would be able to receive a good grade in her class.

Dr. Edwards is a very proffesional teacher with an accurate, feasible,and fluent skills to help the students in their economics education. Her solid and strong economic knowledge makes of Dr.Edwards unique in the Oxnard College Business department.

Very difficult for Mircoecon!

This professor is amazingly helpful and very nice. I found the subject hard, but very interesting, even though sometimes I did not understand everything.

Dr. Edwards gives informative lectures and follows with films to clarify the subject. She gives everything you need to prepare for class and exams. She is also very accesible for help if you need it. If you put forth a reasonable effort, she will reward you at grade time.

I found the professor very knowledgable and helpful. She is interested in the subject and communicated her excitement to the class. She puts in a lot of effort to make the class understandable and interesting to even the least interested or most underprepared student. If you put in a bit of effort you can do well in this class.

I truly enjoyed this class. The teacher explains very clearly, and is willing to help outside class time even if it is outside her office hours. If you know your math and study every day, and do homework, you can do well. Good class. Very good teacher. Not boring, defanitely.

I got an A in her class but, she is very condescending. She told a student, who asked a simple question, she didn't have time to "repeat everything." After that, not many people asked out of fear. She has favorites. She makes you call her Dr. Good teacher, nice lady but out of touch with students.

She is probably the best teacher I have ever had. I did not find the class too hard, but I studied every day. She makes economics so much fun. She's also fair and very very nice and helpful. I have never heard her talk down to any student. She said that there was no such thing as a dumb question.

Took all 3 Econ (100, 101 & 102) classes from Dr. Edwards. Style is easy to follow. Is EXTREMELY helpful, setting up meetings outside of regular hours to accommodate work/class conflicts. Would recommend this professor to anyone that needs economics.

I took both econ101 and econ102 with Dr. Edwards, and liked both classes. Her teaching is clear and she is easy to understand. You need some math in this class. She connects everything to the real world, and that made the class interesting for me. Her syllabus explains all that you have to do in the class. Very fair and helpful.

I took both econ101 and 1o2 with this professor.She's very friendly.Works hard to make the class interesting. Clear teaching style, but you have to do your work every week. I never thought I would like Economics, but I did. She has tests, quizzes, assignements and spreads the grade, so if one thing goes wrong its still ok. Great teacher!

First of all, I think Macroeconomics is the most borning subject on earth. But, I learned some valuable information in this class. She is patient, concerened and helpful. I stared at the clock a lot, but there is so much extra credit it is to pass.

Econ 101,102. Both classes were good.You have to listen to what she says and follow her advice.Work regularly.Don't dream in class. Pay atention.The more you try the more interesting the class gets. Teacher is organized, clear,helpful, sympathetic,very knowldegeable. Highly recommended!

Very good teacher. She explains everything really really well. Also she connects everything to the real world. That makes economics more interesting. There are many quizes, tests, homework, and so you mess up one thing your grade does get messed up also.

I got a lot out of this class. There's things that happened around me about the economy that I didnt understand before...I can understand them now. Interesting class. Good teacher. Nice person. Not easy, but a good class. Well worth taking this class with this prof.

She a real good teacher. She has a passion for economics. Shes really clear but sometimes hard to understand. Economics isnt my subject even in high school. She made it interesting though. I got a B in the class but dang economics is really hard to learn. No wonder the economy is failing right now. IT'S HARD no matter who your teacher is!!!

I took Macroeconomics with her, but I took the online course. It was pretty easy and she was very accessible. If you had any questions, all you had to do was email her and she'd respond right away. All you have to do to pass is read the book. A lot of it is individual work.

I took both econ101 and 102 with this prof. I really liked this teacher and the way she made each class so interesting. Both classes require good Math and English comprehension skills, so I can see how some students can get challenged. Also, it helps to have good study habits. The prof has a great personality.Everone else said the same thing.

I took econ 101 online and econ 102 in lecture class. There's no class attendance in the online class, you have to read book and notes and take quizzes and tests.She has office hours every week, and those are really useful.The lecture class was difficult, but the teaching was excellent. Very helpful teacher.

I took this class online and I can honestly say I didn't learn much. The teacher was eager to help us if we had any questions, but I never really read because Econ is simply not my interest. However, when it came to my grade as long as you try and do all your quizes and assignments, you will basically pass. I passed with a C.

I took summer Microecon class online. There was 1 quiz every week, and that was it. No discussion/assignments/etc. Sounds easy, but it's not. No make up quizzes, no dropping the lowest score, and no extra credit. The high reading level + the general "yawn" of econ in general made it difficult. Every point counts. Very nice lady though.

You will need the reading comprehension of a English masters-level graduate. The concepts are easy, but the way they're explained are extremely complex. The teacher is very nice, but doesn't drop lowest quiz score or offer extra credit. Took the summer online course. There were 6 tests, that's it. She has an unforgiving point system.

She was very accommodating to the students; she wanted everyone to get an A. Her grade is set up that if you earn at least a B on and turn in all the assignments you can earn an A. The two books are super cheap and super easy to read; just keep up on the reading a participate in class discussions and you'll Ace the class for sure.

I really enjoyed taking both Micro (lecture) and Macro (online) econ with Dr. Edwards.Both classes were great. Everything was organized, and in the syllabus. She talked abt what was happening in the economy, & tied everything to the lecture. Online class discussions were great. Grades spread over quizzes, assignmnts,analysis & test/exams.EXCELLENT

I took econ 101 and 102 with this teacher. She gives clear directions, makes the class interesting, smiles and chats with students like a friend. The subject is hard, but she goes all out to make it clear. Need to know some math for this class. I'd take other classes with her. She's real good.

This instructor is very helpful and responds quickly to any answers you need. The expectations were clear from beginning to end. She gives many opportunities for points during the class. If you do the work that is expected you will do fine. I took 3 classes this term and did not feel she asked too much of her students. Highly recommend.

I was in the hybrid webclass. I found her to be really helpful and understanding person and def. enjoyed the in-person portions of the class as I actually got to learn something. Econ can be a very hard subject and I found the online class to be way too much work. If you need to take Econ, go for the in person class instead.

The instructr makes the class interesting. She's very enthuziastic abt the material -very active in class-and tries to get economics to mean something to you. Never thght i'd like economics but i actually loved the class. I'm going to take more economics - with prof edwards. There are two books in the class but she uses one mostly. She's very good.

Nice instructor, but she is very strict on everything so be warned. Tests are pretty hard, quizzes are okay sometimes and easy homework.

Excillent instructor. Knows her subject really well. Econ is a difficult subject, and you have to study every week for several hours. But the teacher style of teaching is very clear. She alos teaches in a wy that you can tell how economies applies to everything around you in he real world. Highly recommend this teacher for economics.

This professor is the most reasonable and friendly professor I have taken a class with. She really knows her subject well. When she explains things in class everyone seems to understand it. But many of my classmates did not read the book or the notes after class, so they dont remember what they knew in class the last time. Very good teacher.

This was a tough class, but the prof was the best. I could've gotten an A in this class i'd worked from the start. I started out failing but she's real good at makng econ interesting -nd it got more and more interesting. I couldnt beliv how well I did n the final, and the analisis went well too. I really liked this class.The prof is really good.

I have taken both Micro and Macroeconomics with Dr. Edward. One class was on-campus and one online. I've got to say she is an excellent professor and I have learned so much because of her. She is knowledgeable and her classes are formatted to be very easy to follow. Just do the work!!!

Dr. Edwards is a trip at first . Her classroom rules are worse then high school but if you show an effort in the class it will help you in the end . She is very understanding and wants all her students to do good.

I took both ECON 101 and 102 online,and liked both classes. The professor was very helpful and replied to my emails and questions within a couple of hours. I also liked the discussion board that was open all semester for us to ask questions. The prof's explanations were very detailed. I learned a lot in both classes. Great classes.

I really enjoyed this class.Because I took the class online I had a lot of flexibility and I could complete my readings and quizzes when I had the time. I found the subject fascinating. I didn't know what to expect and wasn't advised to take Micro-econ first, which I was later told. Anyways, this class was well structured, though fast paced because I took it during summer. There is a lot of homework but it helps you understand the material overall. Teacher always answered questions quickly. Overall happy with the course!

She is awesome. Don't be lazy and you'll pass. You hold the responsibility and if you don't put in your time, you deserve to fail. Get the book and get it early - you'll be reading a lot. She's always there and super helpful.

Class syllabus was clear and detailed. Grading policy and assignments were explained clearly. Quizzes and discuss posts every week. There was an essay that was challenging, but interesting too. There's a midterm and a final exam. Prof responds to emails quickly and also answers questions in the classroom. Pretty good class.

The class was organized. Instructions were clear. There were good discussions, but you have to rite each post of more than 200 words. Weekly quizzes kept me from slacking. Great online homework sets - vey useful. I really liked this professor and the class.

I took both macro and micro online with this teacher. Both classes were well organized. The class syllabus had all the class rules and grading policy. The class followed a calendar. The class was fast - 9wks -but the teacher was there in class every day to answer questions on the discussion brd and by email. The feedback I received was very useful.

Must log in to D2L at least once a week to pass. I had to work a lot harder in this class than I did for my macro class (different prof), but I preferred Dr. Edwards. If you value learning, take this professor. On top of what you learn from discussions and the online website, Dr. Edwards gives amazing feedback. That's a rare trait for online profs.

Great professor. Explains things well. Textbook is never used in class, but I strongly recommend you read it, or else you will have trouble understanding. Dr. Edwards got me interested in Economics. There were quizzes, a midterm test, an essay and weekly homework. I had to study regularly and do all the work. Very helpful prof.

Took ECON102 in lcture class and ECON101 & ECON100 online bcz of scedule conflict. I thoroughly enjoyed all 3, but wd have taken in lecture clas becz prof Edwards' lectures make the material so much easier. But in online clss I emailed her and asked fr lots of clarifications. Edwards is fantastic abt replying w detailed explntions evn on weeknds.

Dr. Edwards is a very intelligent woman and knows very much about what she teaches. Laziness will not get you anywhere in her classes as she expects you to act like a college student and put forth effort to pass. She is willing to help you if you are willing to ask for help. Go to class, pay attention and take good notes and you will be fine.

Prof. Edwards is an outstanding instructor. She was very helpful. Every time there was something I did not understand I would send her an email and she would explain things to me - even on weekends - step by step. She would stay back extra time to help students. She makes Econ fun and interesting. You will have to study to get an A. I did.

The tests were long and hard. Make sure you read the chapters. It was a tough class to do in 6 weeks, but I was glad I did it. Dr Edwards was super helpful and responsive.

Fair class. Study for an A or a B. APLIA and the book are expensive. If I were you, I would only buy APLIA since the book is online included with it. Also, the weekly quizzes can be a bit hard but not if you read the book.

It was a hard class and I'd to study every week. But the prof was easily available to explain things. She's very patint. Prof Edwards inspired me to change my major to econ. Pay attention in class, take good notes, dont skip classes, and do the Aplia work before quizzes. Not hard to get a good grade if you do everything she assins.

Dr. Edwards is a great professor. She explain things very well. But you cant miss class and you must take very good notes. Also she puts up lots of notes and solved problems online. I've taken two econ classes with Professor Edwards, and I really enjoy learning from her. She uses a conversational style , lots of examples from life, problems and calculations, there is one essay or 2-3 articles are analyzed. Grading is fair, and she will work with you if you email her for help or visit her office. I will take her class again.

She is a good teacher. She answers questions promptly, gives chances for extra credit, and is more than willing to help anyone. But she also requires work to be done. It's not extremely difficult class but don't expect to slack off. I would highly recommend her class

The online class was very organized and easy to follow. Grades spread out over several activities. We had weekly quizzes, discussions, Aplia homework, and also miderm and final exams and an essay. The Aplia price is included in the textbook price, and so it is free. You can also get a used book. Professor Edwards was helpful and nice.

I had a really good experience in this class. It was not too fast and not too slow. It was not easy, but the online homework was very helpful. Also, the instructor replies to emails very quickly with detailed explantions. For me this was a perfect class.

Make sure you show up everyday. She gives out work at the last 10-20mins of class. These assignments are easy 10 points. You will pass her class, its impossible to fail unless you try to, she'll tell you herself. She cares for her students but can be rude at times. Online HW & Quizzes & in class midterm final & there is extra credit(50 points max)

The class was very organized. It was fun but also there is homework. Classwork every day - helps learn and also helps with the grade. one essay, online quizzes, in class midterm and final. The encourages class participation. Great class. Very good prof. I highly recommend this prof.

Do all the homework and discussions. Her syllabus is very clear. Good teacher gives good feedback, start the essay early and not last minute so really get a good grade.

Actually gives classwork and homework. Passive-aggressive. Skip class? Will be dropped. Assigns one big essay. Uses aplia for work & D2L for quizzes. Book isn't really necessary unless you're trying to do entire semester in 2 weeks w/ free Aplia trial. Make sure any question about dates & stuff isnt already on syllabus or she will MAKE you check.

I hated econ before I took the class with Dr. Edwards. Econ is hard for me. Prof. Edwards tought the clas in a way that I could see how econ worked nd how econ explained how peple made desicions. I took both micro and macro online with prof edwards and I will say that this was the most organized online class i have ever taken -and i take mostly online classes. The prof is very involved with the class and replies to questions very quickly and gives detailed explenations. Grading standards are in the syllabus and she is a fair grader. Great!

This class was about econ issues like immigration, technology, income inequality, poverty, energy,where market is good and what government can do to make things better. I learned a whole lot. Lots of discussions in class. Half the class was online. Relaxed pace. Fair grades. It was a GREAT class! Is there a part 2? Wanna take one more!

I loved the class. It was not an easy class and I had to do all the assignments. But prof. Edwards is a great instructor and she helped me out every time I asked for help. I took econ101 and econ 102 with this professor -online and in class. I liked both the classes. Prof Edwards explains things very clearly. She's excited about economics and gets you liking econ also. I took one class online and the other in class. I liked both. In the F2f class Prof edwards explained everything in class-very clearly. In the online class I had to read the book, do the aplia homework more than once, and read the posted notes. I also asked questions. Prof was very helpful. Both classes were very well organized.

Macro -big picture- face to face in class was great! It was not easy, and there's homework, but the daily classwork with the prof guiding us with the work was helpful. Very informative class. Well organized. Dr. Edwards was friendly and approachable. A very good class. I enjoyed it.

The 6-week class was brisk and we had to keep up with the reading, assignments,discussions and quizzes. But it was super well organized with a clear calendar. The prof extended deadlines for assignments on request, but discussions receive full credit only when posted on the assigned week. It was a great learning experience. The best Econ prof ever!

Just got done with a 6 wk micro- online. Whew - it moved fast. the class was super organized and the instructor was always there to help. When I emailed her questions or requests for help I heard back wiithn 2 hrs -real fast. Very detailed help. Lots of emailed reminders to get work done on time. Prof extended deadlines on request. Excellent.

Econ issues class was great. Hybrid online cls. One book $10 used. all other readings were online and free. Active class with videos nd lectures nd open discussions. Relaxed class. I learned a lot. Great class.

Took her online MicroEcon class thru MP college and i loved it. It was a breeze, she made her expectations clear and gives you so many chances to do good. Wish i could take her online for MacroEcon but i will be taking in class instead.

I've taken micro, macro and issues econ classes with Dr. Edwards. I really liked the classes. The prof in interesting, organzed and friendly. I would take other classes weith Dr. Edwards. She's very good.

- tests are pretty easy -do the weekly assignments on Mindtap that is a big part of your grade. -will give you extensions on assignments -she doesn't round up nor does she curve

took her for both micro and macro. She is better than econ professors at Moorpark. took her four week class.

I took her class online but she seemed like a good professor. However, the macroeconomics class was a lot of work. I had to read the entire textbook and put in a lot of hours doing the practice quizzes to really understand the material. As long as you work really hard you can get an A.

I didn't know that much about economic issues before taking this class. I feel like I am learning so much. The class is easy and relaxed. The prof lets us share our views on everything we learn. I like this class a lot. We don't do math or graphs. It's fun.

I took this class with Prof. Edwards because I had heard good things abt her. She really knows Econ & she gets you really interested in the class. the grading structure is explained clearly in her syllabus, and every class ther's classwork that helps me learn and helps my grade. The online homework helped was really useful. She's a great teacher.

Professor Edwards is amazing ! she definitely knows her stuff. Her test are not easy, but you can do it, she quickly responds to your questions . Her class is a bit of a challenge. Be ready to take your time when testing, do your homework and tests and you will pass. Professor Edwards is very Fair! I will definitely take her again.

Prof is an amazing instructor. She knows her subject & explains clearly and got me very interested in econ. One midterm, a final exam, class assignment, online quizzes and online homework that was helpful. We could use cell phones for pictures of graphs, class lectures or to chk up something related to class related. Restroom OK,if not disruptiv .

I took both micro and macro with Dr. Edwards this summer. The classes were not hard. She emphasizes learning by practicing. You can lots of points toward grade and extra credit with Mindtap assignment. It's a great, low pressure way to learn. The assignments really helped me do well in the 3 tests and the final. Prof was always avail by email.

Prof was always friendly and approachable. Answered questions, explained things clearly by email. Mindtap homework system and digital txtbook were free initially, then $50. All homework due end of class. Low stress. Great interactive learning software. Profs instructions were clear. Very organized class. Great class & instructor! Awesome.

I took this class over the summer online and it honestly was not bad at all as long as you keep up with your mindtap homework and quizzes. I would recommend reading over the lectures before taking the tests and youll do fine. The final was simply a longer version of the tests, testing all your knowledge of the course. Not harder but time consuming

I took ECON R101 (Macro) my freshmen year at OC and without a doubt, she is one of the most articulate and effective professors I have encountered. Because of her class, I changed my major from Business Administration to Economics. I am now taking ECON R101 (Micro) online and I cannot wait to have her as my professor once again.

Given the chance again, I would opt for an online class with Zoom, only because I think I would have gained a deeper understanding and had an easier time grasping key topics. On the one time the online only class has a Zoom conference, professor Edwards was unbelievably clear and concise in her explanations. I would not hesitate to take her again.

Just finished the class. It was a wonderful learning experience. I really enjoyed all the econmic issues we had to read about. The textbook only cost $10. Prof gave us all all the other materials to read. Two, tests, both were untimed. Links to articles were in the question- easy to read. We had a month to do each of the 2 assignments. Great class!

I've taken 2 classes with this professor. One half zoom one all online. Both were excellent. I like zoom a little more bec prof is easy to understand, encoraged questions & she answered every question and asked for more. She also was available after zoom class to chat abt anything we wanted to. Homework was not too much and really helped. Great cls

I took her for Principles of Microecon. Very kind, communicates well, would answer any questions/clarify anything for you. Responds quick by email. Fair grading system-most of it is based on HW but tests are worth a lot.

The professor is caring and helpful. There is homework but it is also worth a lot of points and very helpful. Tests are fair.

Great professor, Dr. Edwards truly wants you to succeed. I highly recommend the Honors Macroeconomics course.

Overall, I enjoyed this course. The class is based on the book Naked Economics. In the class you have a weekly quiz on a chapter from the book, weekly discussions, two assignments (you get around a month for both), and two tests. The assignments and tests were relatively easy. The professor also allows two retakes for quizzes and four for tests.

Overall quite an easy class. Required online textbook that has assignments built in, some what of a hassle to do the assignments so keep up. Discussion per couple chapters, wont grade/read until end of the semester. A few tests per couple chapters. And a final exam. Google will be your friend if you don't read the material.

Professor Edwards is strict when it comes down to guidelines and grading criteria. However, she offers a good amount of extra credit throughout the semester. Her tests are HARD and require a lot of deep thought when completing it. She has a moderate level of HW assignments. Overall, good professor.

I would highly recommend taking Prof Edwards for economics. Overall great class, one of my favorite profs, and cares about all of her students. Also great for dual enrollment students!

Professor Edwards knows everything and is ready to answer any question you have. She is very clear with her directions and what she expects. She has discussion posts where we have to give our opinion on the economy, if she does not like your opinion, she will make it clear in the comment section after she grades your discussion.

Took the Honors version of R202 and the major difference is the addition of a large essay that is worked on throughout the semester. The essay helped me really understand the concepts taught in class by applying these concepts to a real world example. The prof grades fairly and gives really good feedback on the essay to make sure you understand.

Overall the class was an average difficulty the exams were not too hard or easy the homework is doable and does not take too much time. Overall recomend taking her just study the exams and you be set.

Just do the work and you will be fine. Only 2 discussions throughout the semester that count heavy towards your grade.

Prof. Edwards is an excellent instructor. She is very friendly and helpful and replies to emails quickly. The class was very well organized and easy to follow. There's weekly homework, but the homework really helped me learn. I highly recommend this professor.

Professor Edwards runs a rigorous class, but the material is manageable with diligence. The online textbook and assignments can be tedious, but Unstuck AI was a lifesaver for efficient studying. Stay on top of the work, and you'll do well.

The online assignments were so confusing most of the time and your attempts are limited to 3/question. Sends an excessive amount of emails out. Tests were easy for the most part. I would recommend doing her work with time because the questions were frustrating since it involves a lot of graphs and has to be 100% correct to get any credit

Prof Edwards was helpful, replied to my emails quickly even at night, explained anything I couldn't understand in detail. Sends reminders to do assignments by email. I liked the MindTap homework assignments.I could redo them and got feedback rightaway. I didn't have to get 100% right to keep the grade. I liked the class and the professor a lot.

The homework assignments -mindtap- were very useful and great for learning.Math was basic-easy. Tests and grading were fair n not hard. Best teacher I've had.
