She is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help students understand better. I really feel like I got a lot out of her lab sessions. I read the negative comments before I took her class and was a little apprehensive, but she is a great teacher.

Very good professor. Extremely knowledgable about the subject. She gives examples from real life situations that help you understand the topic. I really enjoyed this class, and I learned a lot. You will have to work hard, but it will definitely be worth it. People who truly want a greater understanding of the subject should take this class!

K this is how she works if you want an easy A dont take her. She is awesome and leans on the book so you HAVE to study! listen to what she is saying in class her quizes are common sense and she gives out good reviews for exams. She is very helpful and I enjoyed her class. She also posts things on how to survive her class.

Very helpful and friendly teacher. She once went out of her way to email me to be sure that I understood something I'd asked about in class earlier. She's very knowledgeable and does her best to make sure you understand. The tests are hard, but she only grades around 38 of 60 questions; tons of opportunity for extra credit. Great teacher.

Prof. Rashman is a wonderful Professor, She is passionate about Biology. I met her at the Science tutorial Center and she had been extremely great in helping me learn and understand Biology. She explain systematically step by step and ask you questions to find out what you understood. She is easy to approach, cares and devoted to all students.

At first I thought I was going to fail this class! but I talked to her and she was very willing to help. Gave me opportunities to get my grade up and I passed! Her powerpoints go hand in hand with the book. Ask her how to study and u'll b fine. Its definitely not an easy class but she's very helpful! You must apply urself and b ready to learn!!

Prof is very nice and approachable. Re: her lectures there isnt much class participation, and the prof lectures straight for hours (and very quickly) so it may be hard to follow. Also her tests have tons of EC and are straight from review packet Qs so u can get 100s on tests just by memorizing answers and not know the material (which is a shame)

Professor Rahman is very helpful and provides students with a lot of tools to be successful in her class. You do not have to be super smart to get a good grade. Just read the material that she gives in her lectures!

Prof. Rahman's explanations are completely clear and understandable. She concentrates on exactly what we need to know and reiterates the salient points at the best level to optimize retention (within the 20 minute STM threshold.). I would take whatever she teaches.

BIO will be hard at times because their is so much material and it is quite complex, but I feel that Professor Rahman will do everything in her power to get you through it if your willing to learn. If you are thinking of taking Biology 107 then Dr Rahman is the professor. She is detail oriented, clear, patient, and approachable. She is more than willing to give extra time to students who need extra help. This is a challenging course but she is very fair. She goes above and beyond the normal course of duty to make sure her students succeed.

I loved this Professor. She is very flexible, helpful, and provides the most amazing amount of resources. It's biology so there is a lot of memorization but she provides you with so many resources that it's difficult to fail this class at all. Bio 107 is hard. Significant amount of detail. Read the text & labs prior to class. She is super helpful. All materials are posted and she recorded the lectures too. She will answer any questions and is available just about anytime. She cares and wants you to learn. Great prof! I learned a lot from her.

Professor Rahman is awesome! I am not usually a biology person but I really loved this class! It was really interesting and she was able to present the information in a very relatable way. I honestly didn't think this class would make this much of an impact on me but I am so happy I took this class and I am really glad I got to take it with her.

Subject matter of BI 203 is difficult but she broke it down to every student's level of understanding. Assignments are short and sweet and informative. I catch almost 60% of the course in class. but you have to study. she is knowledgeable.

I was afraid of this class at first but it ended up being my favorite class. I had so much fun. Dr. Rahman is an engaging professor who will do what she can to help you succeed but YOU still have to work at it. Professor Rahman is amazing. I took her for BI107 and BI203, and I don't regret it. There is a lot of material and memorization, but if you pay attention to her lectures and understand her powerpoints you should do good. All essay questions for exams come from objective questions at the end of powerpoints! I loved labs, she made them interesting!

professor Ishrat is the best prof. especially 203 she explains her materials very well and the lab is fun.

Attending lectures is optional! The same questions from the lecture quizzes show up on the tests. Her tests are fair but you must study to get a good grade! I spent lot of time studying and reviewed all the powerpoint notes and managed to get an A in her class. She explains all the directions in lab. Lab is very fun and interesting.

She is the professor that you need to meet in your college life. She really cares about the students and tries to help them with class and also extracurricular activities. The class is easy if you show up and study. It might look too much in the beginning, but don't worry. Take the online quizzes seriously because they repeat in the unit exams.

There's 2 sides to her: she can be very helpful but very rude at the same time. She has expectations, but if you fail to meet those expectations then she'll raise her voice at you. I had no issue with her, but she would often belittle students. People were afraid to ask her questions since she got annoyed easily. Take Lester.

She was always willing to help students if they needed it. Her lectures were great if you record them it helps. Also make sure to use the resources that she provides on blackboard like the animations it really helps to understand the concepts. Loved her!

Professor Rahman is an outstanding professor. She explains everything in detail and never gets unorganized. Her class is hard and requires a lot of studying for the tests. This is one of the best Professors I have ever had. Micro is not an easy class, but Rahman is a really excellent teacher. Her lectures are phenomenal. You can tell she is really passionate about the subject which makes students excited to learn it. Very clear on material that is on test. Practice the Multiple Choice BB quizzes for exam.

She is very organized, she cares about her students. Micro is a tough class but she is willing to sit down with you and make a plan so you can pass. Professor Rahman is extremely knowledgeable in Microbiology and an excellent teacher. She is one of the most caring professor at MC although it is a lot of content you have to put some amount of work into it overall for lab it was fairly easy if you reviewed the content 10 minutes before class and she also demonstrates the lab beforehand .

I took Dr Ishrat for Bio150 in the past and this Summer for 210. Her lectures are well-organized and engaging and the Lab is fun If you want easy A she isn't a best choice. If you want to learn, I highly recommend taking 210 with her. She is knowledgeable but be ready to study. Tests and quizzes are not easy. I am grateful for taking her class.

Dr. Rahman is a really amazing professor. Her lectures are amazing and it really is a lot of work but her lectures consist of all the Lecture exams. I never read the book and I still passed the class. If you pay attention then you will definetly pass. I recommened you record her lectures because it helps alot Always listen to her questions.

1) The online homework will genuinely help with background knowledge for lecture. 2) I recommend recording her lectures. 3) The multiple choice on the test is based mostly on the multiple choice on the online quizzes (so share with your classmates). 4) The end of the lecture slides has questions(will be the essay questions on test)

Dr. Rahman's Microbiology class has been my favorite class to date. Not to mention, she is an amazing professor. She really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She is always available for questions or concerns and she wants to actually help. Upper sciences were never my strong suit but I managed to ace her class and have fun in it!

By all means, if you want to pass biology online WHILE understanding it, take this professor. As a STEM major and an aspiring pre-med, this class was pivotal to my understanding of biology, especially for when I eventually have to take the MCAT. This professor is incredibly agreeable and allows for students to speak & ask questions to learn more.

There is no homework for this class. Occasional BlackBoard quiz. I bought the expensive textbook and didn't even need it. You just need to show up to class and take notes from the lecture. If you take good notes and memorize them, then the exams are incredibly straightforward and you can pass. For lab, don't bother trying to follow the instructions

She is an incredible professor- extremely caring, patient, and always accessible. Having worked at the FDA, she brings a ton of real world knowledge to the class. The 7 week course was quite manageable with her. Some complained because they'd forgotten basics from prior bio classes. This is an upper level course... Not sure what they expected :/

Explained all the tests and procedures well. I knew what to expect. I had different teachers for the lab / lecture combo. Prof. Rahman taught the lab part. I enjoyed her class.

I had Dr.Rahman for Microbiology which is a very tough and lab-heavy class. She was very clear and straightforward when explaining labs or how to conduct procedures. As long as you show up and listen and do the labs exactly like how she showed you, you should be fine she is NOT a tough grader. Her lectures were also clear and she explains well!
