get ishwar if you can. he explains the labs perfectly and is more than willing to help you out during the actual experiment. he does have the potential to grade pretty harshly and DONT miss his pre-lab lecture- he will give you a 0 for that lab!

The best lab teacher in SJU. PERIOD. He is beyong awesome. While most teachers would do anything to not give you a clear answer during lab, he will always answer any questions you might have. He goes over each lab perfectly and really helps you a lot during the actual lab. Best lab teacher ever...

Ishwar is the best Chem lab teacher in the world! He's an easy grader and is always willing to help you and answer all of your questions. Just make sure you're on time to class. If you're late, he won't let you in and you get a 0 for that lab. Deffinately take him! I'm taking him again next semester

Quite possibly the best lab teacher I will have in my time at St. John's...unfortunately this was the last semester I will ever have him again. Those who do have the opportunity to take him, you definitely should. He is always helpful and clarifies anything you need. While he looks serious, he is actually very nice and jokes around with us.

TAKE HIM!!! awesome and he helps you understand the stuff from the lectures that the other teachers spent like 5 minutes on. make sure that you get a good yield cause he takes off a lot for it.but otherwise he's worth it.

Ishwar makes LAB an extremely fun environment. He helps with every experiment, and is willing to aid you with other Chemistry questions that you may have, as well. He writes the LABS for Organic Chemistry; so, he obviously has to be the best. There is a 5 point curve at the very end, and the final requires you to master mechanisms and reagents. =]!

He makes those long lab hours bearable. Really nice guy with funny sarcastic humor. Helps you out when you ask. Goes over lab reactions and mechanisms. Try not to screw up on your lab yields though. Final is a little tricky, but the 5 point curve helps.

Easiest lab teacher you can ever have. He makes the procedures for you to print and put in your notebook so the pre-lab is a piece of cake. Literally gives you the answers to the questions of the labs and he is an easy grader. He is mad cool with students also since he is also a young guy. He teaches lab mon, tues, and wed.

Ishwar is the man easily one of the most approachable teachers ever, treat him with respect and you are pretty much good to go. Labs are not easy, he grades a bit on the tough side, and midterm/final are pretty much mini-chem exams. But guaranteed you cannot get a better lab teacher. Also a pretty funny guy for a chem teacher lol. ISH IS THE MAN!!!

Greatest lab teacher ever! I'm taking him again next semester. He's so fun to be around and such a down-to-earth guy. I wish he was my teacher in other subjects because then I would love school. You don't have to write the procedure like many other teachers make you do. You simply just print out the procedure and paste it in your notebook.

Took him for lab. He is so nice. He isn't extremely easy. You have to do your procedures correctly and your lab notebook has to be perfect for you to get a 5 but as long as you do your work and try your best, you should be fine. He isn't out there to give you bad grades, he just wants to make sure you're learning. Excellent quality =]

He is probably the BEST lab instructor I've ever had. At first yes he can be quite intimidating but he's really great. He knows what he's doing. So don't be afraid if you make mistakes. That's the only way to learn. By the way his sarcasm is hilarious! This is the only reason why I even go to lab.

Absolutely the best lab teacher I've had. Explains everything very clearly before each lab/test. Just follow his instructions and you'll get a great grade. He's really friendly too, very easy to talk to. Hopefully I'll have him again in the future. Lab teachers can learn a thing or two from him.

I had Dr. Ish for all three semester in Intro to Gen and Organic Chemistry. I had him for recitation first semester and lab for the next two semesters. I learned EVERYTHING from him in recitation and his lectures are really good in lab even though they are short. Easy classes, open book finals, great professor and person.

I have decided to give up on Christianity and convert to Ishwar. He is the one true God. He teaches all that is right in the world, he is the best. Take him, accept him as your one true savior ( of organic chemistry)

Dr. Ish is great! He can be a little monotone sometimes but he explains calculations very clearly. He always checks your graphsanswers before you leave and will have you redo something if he knows it's wrong so you don't get points off. Sometimes you can even do the calculations in class with him.

I had Dr. Ish for chem lab and I finally understand all the hype- I am totally converting to Ishwar... He is sooo helpful (His pre-labs are a godsend) and although his humor is dry he's pretty hilarious.. He'll never yell at you or make you feel nervous in the lab. ishwar is the best!! he's super chill and lenient when it comes to grades. there are pre lab and post lab quizzes for each experiment. the pre lab questions are straight from the lab manual, but the post lab quizzes are harder. the virtual labs are kind of repetitive but it gets easier the more you do it. the final is kinda hard though. take him!!

I had his class online, and he always recorded the pre-lab lectures and actually showed us how to perform the lab when we had to attend class. His final is open-book and you can find most of the answers in the experimental outlines he provides for every lab.

The lab reports are done on a template he gives, the pre and post lab assignments are basic reading comprehension of the lab manual, and the 15 minute lectures he gives before labs are very helpful.
