Dr. Ozkilic is a great professor who really enjoys teaching his subject. Expository Writing turned out to be a lot more interesting and funner than I expected going in, and his classes were thought-provoking. Take his class if you have the chance!

He is a very easy going professor. As long as you are on top of your work, e.g get your draft done on time, collect enough research sources... you should have no trouble getting a good grade. He even gives you back the final paper to revise if your grade is below a B. He doesn't make you buy extra books for reading, which makes life a lot easier.

This was my favorite professor in the semester, despite being in a science school and assumingly thinking I'd like the science classes better. He is very helpful when it comes to deadlines and due dates and overall makes the learning enjoyable and thought provoking.

Expository Writing was my favorite class of this semester. I enjoyed going to class because the discussions were relevant, the book was interesting, and the writing wasn't too bad. Grading is rather strict although the way he does it it will help you in the long run. Few papers but they were rather lengthy. class participation is expected every class regarding the reading that is assigned prior to each class. Also there were a few oral presentations, but they were rather simple and nothing that should be stressed over.

I was stressed about all my essays before I wrote them because I wasn't sure if I was doing them right and I'm not usually a very good writer. But he doesn't give you a grade for your drafts you just have to hand them in and when he gives you your feedback, as long as you fix what he says you'll be fine. I ended up getting an A on all my papers

I think the greatest thing about him as a professor was that he respected what you thought as a student. Readings are very subjective, however, some professors think that there is only one way to interpret things. Ozkilic allowed and invited you to express your interpretation while respecting it, even if it wasn't the way he saw it.

Some assignments were pretty difficult to me because I am not a huge fan of Literary Analysis. But Dr. Oz helped me turn my writing around completely.

Class was fun and not hard to follow. My experience consisted of reading a poem, play or short story for class and going over it and analyzing it in class with Dr. Oz. We've only been required to write 3 seperate papers which is great because within the very time consuming programs here at MCP, it is very manageable. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Professor Ozkillic has been one of my favorite professors Ive had so far. Hes a No B.S kind of guy so if youre just trying to pass by it wont work. He makes you work hard and think hard but thats the best part of the course. If you like analytical thinking this is the course for you. Plus theres minimal assignments you actually turn in.

Professor Oz is awesome. The class itself has few assignments and he doesn't take any late ones so be timely. Because there are only a few assignments you need to do well on them (he grades hard) but thankfully he allows rewrites. Dr. Ozkilic is the best professor I have had yet. Readings are there but they are usually minimal (1-2 pgs). HIs class is set up with a few papers throughout the semester but he is clear and helps you out when it comes to the writing process. Participation is necessary but As are totally achievable as long as you do the work and don't mind reading.

If you put in the effort and do your best, you will do just fine in the class. He is also very understanding and down to earth. It is very difficult to find an instructor as wise as Professor Ozkilic.

If you pay attention and participate, the class goes by quickly. I have learned so much in regards to writing and changing my perspective on not only literature, but life as well. Each class is fun, inspiring, and rewarding. Professor Oz truly cares about your success and will help you. It was my favorite class of the semester. I'm sad it is over.

Taught me a lot about life+writing. Everything he says and does has a purpose in this class. No busy work. Grades on: Writer's help, three papers, participation, and one presentation. Not a hard grader if you are good at writing + if you need work, he allows revisions for better grades. Listen in class, what he says helps write your paper. Genuine!

I had him for LIB 111 and he was an absolutely amazing teacher. He does not assign a lot of work, and hes hilarious! His class is very engaging. Attendance is required and make sure you hand in all your assignments. His assignments are easy & do able. He gives you more than enough time. He is very understanding, but dont take advantage of that.

Enjoyed being in his class, although it did get difficult to do my papers because he gets so deep into analysis. Will always help outside of class but do not rely on him to be on time to his office hours.

Really good inexperience in this class. He is really engaging and helpful when writing papers. He never gives too much work, and understands that you are not perfect. Lectures are always insightful, and definitely worth attending. Most of the time allows you to leave early, and doesnt grade rough drafts. He gives you the most benefits possible!

Professor Ozkilic is one of the best teachers youll have here at MCPHS. Hes made LIB 111 so enjoyable. Professor Ozkilics amazing at thoroughly explaining assignments as well as providing amazing feedback. You wont regret taking his course, hes the best!!

Let me be extremely honest with you. If you are willing to learn and put in the time and effort to improve your writing skills, take his class. His class is certainly not an easy A, but he teaches you beyond what you can learn in any other writing classes. He teaches you a lot of lessons in terms of life. He gives you a chance to improve as well.

Professor Ozkilic gives great feedback and great lectures. Though he is critical when grading, following his guidelines will guarantee a good grade. I thoroughly enjoyed his class, I would definitely take it again.

Professor Ozkilic is genuinely an amazing Writing professor that anyone could ask for. No textbook required. Make sure to pay attention in class and participate because it also counts towards your grade! Also he is a very fair grader. Get your stuff done and really put your effort on it. What you put in is what you get out.

Dr. Ozkilic is awesome. He provides useful feedback along with some hilarious jokes. He sincerely tries to help any way he can, just ask. I have never had an English teacher that was understanding of my ideas and show me other ideas Ive never even thought of until I had him. Amazing professor indeed.

I had Professor Ozkilic for both Expo I (LIB.111) and Expo II (LIB.112). He was by far my favorite professor in my first year of college, and I sincerely wish I could take a third course with him. He is hilarious and has the best stories. PLEASE take his class. Dont bother taking Expo I or II with any other professor. :)

Really enjoyed being in his class. There isn't much homework other than reading the poem, short story, or book ahead of class. A few essays in total, but I have always received clarification if I needed. Participation matters and I honestly think that it makes the class more interesting. Overall, really enjoyed being in Professor Ozkilic's class.

I had Professor Ozkilic for both expo 1 & 2 and I learned so much from him this past year. Reading ahead and being prepared for class is super important. The papers seem very challenging at first, but he is very willing to help you as much as he can and review anything you'd like him too. Definitely worth taking and would recommend to anyone

As long as you show up to classes, dont go on your phone, Do the readings, and participate, Youll get a good grade in his class. He only gave 3 papers this semester, which the longest was 5-7 pages. He isnt a super strict grader, and his lectures are never boring with his humor. He is an amazing professor.

I had Professor Ozkilic for Expo I & Expo II. I recommend him to all first year students because he is an AMAZING professor. He gives you a reasonable amount of time to complete your assignments. There are not that many assignments either. He will give you great feedback to help you make your writing better. He is an easy grader as well!

Prof Oz is an amazing teacher I've ever had. He makes learning and writing way more fun and interesting. You should participate in his class and turn in assignments on time. A for his class is not impossible as long as you try your best! I would definitely take his class again if I have a chance. Thank you, Prof Oz, for great lessons and fun time.

If you don't have him as a professor I recommended you switch to his class. He was very easy on grading and did not give a lot of work.

I usually don't enjoy writing papers or doing any type of English, but I really enjoyed this class. He is also really nice and provides super helpful feedback, that can help you improve.

Dr. Ozkilic is truly amazing, and he is helpful with feedback as he truly wants you to do well. Doctor Ozkilic was always accessible for office hours when I needed help, and he made me a much better writer. He is super friendly, and he wants people to succeed in his course and not stress out! I would 10/10 recommend you take his LIB 112 class!

Prof Ozkilic is by far the best prof at MCPHS! I took his online class, with most assignments due on Monday, and Friday at the latest. Gives great feedback on papers, as well as resources in the folder. Class load is very manageable, with one weekly discussion post and three total essays. He is also very understanding and considerate of deadlines!

Best english professor you might ever have, very helpful and helps you understand what you are reading and will help you understand literature on a whole new level , very good class environment and very effective teaching style. 10/10 would recommend

Will make sure you understand the material, and is a very caring person. He approaches us as an authoritative figure, while also being open to our ideas, and thoughts. Seems to always have an answer for everything, great teacher, and even better person.

Not only does he go in depth about the english material. He also gives life lessons along the way. I despise english with a passion. But I have never had this much fun in a course. Let alone get an A in an english course. 10/10 professor.

He was a delight He felt like he wanted to be there and that when he stood to give his lecture thst he truly connected with us through his words. His class while may consist of mostly talking makes it very easy to understand what papers we are writing at hand and even allows us to move ahead in assignment if need by by adding all of them 2 syllabus

I've always loved English but Prof Okzilic lit a new fire in my soul for it. I took his online course and it took quite a bit of time and effort on my end; but I felt very accomplished at the end. He provided so many helpful resources and left immensely helpful comments. He responded very quickly to emails. I also loved his dry sense of humor.

If you are someone who is intrigued by the English and would love to rip apart a poem or a story to it's very deep hidden meaning and would enjoy active participation in class, he is the professor to go for. In this class one would understand the true meaning behind some of the best poems and short story ever produced, like Porphyria's Lover.

Dr. Ozkillic is a great professor and very passionate about what he teaches. His grading and syllabus are very consistent and as long as you come to class and do the work, you are guaranteed to succeed. His feedback is very clear and helpful when grading work, and as long as you do what he asks you, you will most likely get an A.

Prof Ozkilic is amazing - he truly cares about students and makes the class engaging. The workload is manageable, and he provides great feedback. I also found unstuck study super helpful for prepping for papers.

Professor Ozkilic is a proffessor with a passion for teaching. He was a pleasure to have, and always lit up the class with his comments. The assignments were not easy but they were not hard either, as long as you participated in the class and actually did the work, you would pass. I would recommend as a professor.

If you're in this class you will feel like family. Professor Ozkilic makes sure everyone is heard and included, not to mention his sense of humor. There has never been a day where I don't look forward to his class. Course work may be heavy but it's all easy to complete if you follow instructions.

One of my favorite professors. It was a fairly easy course that you actually learn from. If you hope to get an A just show up, participate and put a little of effort on assignments.

Best teacher fr like he gave us so much time during the semester to write our papers, he breaks it down into different classes by doing little prompt or sharing info that will help us write our essays. Only wrote 2 essays the whole class(14wk) and i scored better in this class that i have ever in any other English class. Will take again for sure

Really, really interesting class. I loved the emphasis on literary analysis and different stories/plays. i thought it was a really good class and was excited for it even though it was a very late class. He's very kind, and patient person willing to speak after class in order to help you understand a concept or idea from the lecture. Take his class!

I like him, even though i absent 4 sessions i sill have an A-. If you do the assigments and reflection in time, you probaly will earn the maximum grades. The hardest part maybe is the film analysis but if you watch and analyze it carefully you'll be fine. Take his class!!!!

Professor Ozkilic was an amazing professor for LIB220. There is genuine passion for teaching along with an interest in the course material. He was able to make the class fun by connecting with students and also creating an environment where the students were able to get to know each other and connect, which is essential for a communication class.
