i took this class during intersession. very straighforward and gave study guides for test. Easy class, got a B but didn't try hard at all or read. Don't get frustrated- he answers questions by asking you a question back.

He was a very good teacher and the class was fun. He gave study guides and pretests on every quiz and mid-term. He was always there, though maybe about 10 mins late, but hey, 10 mins less of class. If you came to class, you did well.

I had a lot of fun in this class because he makes the subject matter interesting. Yes, he is heavy-handed on some subjects, but they are subjects that we don't hear enough of in our society. It's good to be open...........

My favorite professor @ GMNT so far. Clear expectations. Interesting viewpoints. Pushes students to think outside their own personal biases. Very cool, very un-SoCal. Also, love his accent.

This was one of the easiest classes at Grossmont I've taken. If you understand the basic theories and read the chapters you should have no trouble getting an A.

has a tendancy to repeat himself, knows his material but often times is found to be repeating stuff. Good guy for intro to the subject, and is sure to repeat important information in lecture.

Lectures are interesting. The tests come from the text and lectures. He gives out an outline and then a sample test the day before exam. I took this class during the three week intersession along with another class and found it easy to do.

I really like that he gave out study guides, it makes you focus on the material he wants you to know. I never had to read or reread an entire chapter. Hand outs and group work helped me understand the many theories we studied.

he is a great professor. he basically gives you the answers to every test through study guides and in his lectures. Easy A and you will learn a lot.

This is a class where the instructor has a reasonable and logical teaching method that makes it possible for you to get an A. He gives you a study guide telling you exactly what will be on the test, and he gives you an ungraded sample test so you can do better on the actual exam, I highly recommend

He was very straight forward and gave the class the information needed. It wasn't a fun class, but it was interesting. He didn't talk too much or go off the subject. He gave study guides and offered extra credit. How much easier can it get?

he taught about some social issues i never realized played such a major role in our country and others. i learned about how every single person on this planet is somehow connected even though none of us will ever meet. i feel like less ignorant of a person and more enlightened bc of this man.

He not only gives out a very helpful study guide, but gives practice quizzes before the test which have questions that are almost exactly the same as the tests he gives. Allows extra credit. If you don't get an A in his class, something's wrong with you. Does have a thick spanish accent though.

Brilliant man! Stays on track in class, is very objective and informative. I became very interested in sociology because of this class. Has a subtle sense of humor and provokes interesting thought and conversation. do quizzes, come to class. Grades for groupwork - get smart people in your group.

I love Israel, He is smart and interesting. You just have to do a little work to get an A. I think he's objective and smart. If you don't like him, it's cause you don't like him. he's a great teacher. he totally stays on track and he prepares for class. he is structured and funny. Take his class!!!

i agree with most: easy if you do the work. his accent isn't that bad! he's a unique and funny guy and it just makes class that much more interesting. him being (mildly) condescending only makes the class funny. you'll laugh, learn, and get an A.

Very good teacher

After not being in class for over 14 years, I was very intimated. But he made the transition very easy and I hope to get more teachers like him. I really enjoyed his class - lots to learn!

Interesting guy, very different but he is pretty cool. The class is easy if you study for the quizes and tests, if you don't, you are screwed. Everything is right out of the study guides, so look at those a lot. Easy B for the average student

This was a challenging class but you will never be lost. He makes it very clear what you need to know and when you need to know it. He was the best teacher I have had.

I thought this would be an easy A, and while I did get an A there was more work than I thought there would be! . . The class is BORING most days . . I wouldn't take a class with him again . . He just keeps going on and on and on after we already got the point . . slowest hour and fifteen minutes!!

"Iz" is great... Very very clear... explains things so well. He is funny. He is knowledgable. I don't know how someone could not find this class totally interesting. I wish he taught more than Sociology.

This teacher is awesome. Very helpful, and the study guides for test have everything you need to know. I took Soc a couple of times before and had trouble staying with the teacher, but this was not the case with him. He really cares about you learning the material. He also offers lots of extra credit!

Coolest sociology instructor at grossmont. Has a sense of humor. There are about 5 exams and a final. There is a pre-test before every exam, which helps A LOT. Study the pre-test and you'll be fine. There is extra credit available that is worth 25 points. Highly recommended!

Good class..went into the final with a D came out of the class with a B.. you have to make sure you study the packets and the book and you will do fine on the tests..there is an extra credit that will totally help your grade!! good class!

This is the easiest class you will ever find. This has to be one of the best teachers. There is only 5 tests and a final. He gives you a study guide for all the tests and he gives a pretest before ever test which pretty much is the real tests. This is a must take. if you get anything less than an A you're an idiot

Cool guy, helps you if you need it. I took it online over the summer and passed with a solid A. (note: I HATE online classes, but it fit my schedule.) Absolutely have to read the book and there is no time limit on the final exam.

Took online. Easy grader, first two tests are timed, the last two aren't. Final mainly consists of previous test questions and is not timed. Many quiz questions are on the tests as well. Group Discussion every week, no papers. However, some of the tests are soo time consuming. 100 questions each, the final is 200 don't procrastinate. Def. need bk.

Took this class online. Pretty easy. Just learn the materials and you should get a good grade. Work at your own pace which was really helpful. He gives you plenty of time to turn in assignments, discussion boards as well as exams. I recommend him for Sociology online

Online class. 4 exams all 100 questions and final was 200. All untimed. About 14 quiz's too untimed. That being said, everything was pretty easy. The person below me is right about sassy responses but i never had any ?'s. He certainly doesnt deserve all 1's. The discussions were fair just make sure all responses are more than 100 words.

awesome and super easy class. if you dont get an A in this class i dont know what to say! open book tests and open book final [save all the quizzes for the exams] so you can ace them. all you do is do discussion posts 4 per unit, 100 words and quizzes! easssyyy

Awesome class, easy teacher! So much learned from this class. The teacher keeps it interesting. It's definitely an easy course, and it's very informative.

Easiest online class. He gives a lot of extra credit points and chances for points in general. Only downer would be that he doesn't participate in the Disc board at all.

His on-line class required a lot of time dedication and there is a lot of reading. However, if you use the study guides and reading suggestions, you can do really well. There is some easy extra credit as well.

This class was not easy at all! He was helpful. Class was interesting. I did learn a lot, but had to spend a lot of time with those readings and exams.

I took the online class and it ran smoothly. I like using blackboard so the class was very easy for me. Quizzes and tests are a little hard; you can backtrack but on the tests you can't close the window and come back to later. My technique was to scan the quiz questions, find the answers then submit them and use the feedback answers for the tests!

I took his online class. All test answers were taken directly from the text. Do the work. Have your textbook ready for each test. If all else fails, use the graded test you previously took. He recycles many of the previously used questions. Even if he didn't the class would be easy though.

Took this class online thinking it was gonna be really hard. As long as you participate in the forums, and get at least an 80% on the tests, you will be fine and pass. A lot of reading. Not that bad though

The PERFECT online class. The teacher is specific and to the point. The assignments are clear. There are extra credit opportunities. A wonderful class to take especially for people who are taking online classes for busy schedules. GREAT COURSE!!

Have a quiz and 4 discussion posts each week. One midterm and one final. While discussion posts has to be thorough, they are pretty simple if you understand the material. 3 chances for extra credit at 25 points each, which helps greatly. Easy A as long as you do all the assignments. Was a bit of a hard class but enjoyed it and passed. Organized.

The class was interesting, but not my favorite. There are quizzes just about every week, and you can see what you missed after you took it. The three 25-point extra credit discussions were simple and helped my grade tremendously. I would recommend this class for someone who just wants to pass. Some quiz questions are recycled on the exams, too.

Super easy A, especially for an online class. Very straightforward, one quiz a week and a test that resembles the quizzes every 4 chapters. All quizzes and tests were posted at the start so you could technically do it all in 2 weeks if you wanted. Did offer extra credit, but my grade came to 102% w/ it and he refused to give the A+.

The class was so easy. As long as you skim the textbook you'll do fine on the tests. He gives full credit for all discussions as long as you do the discussion. No papers or essays; class consists of quizzes, tests, and discussions. Quizzes have unlimited time, but tests every 4 or so chapters have a 2 hour limit. Overall, super easy A.

I took his online class and it was a breeze. As long as you participate in the discussion boards and do the HW/quizzes you should be fine. I didn't have the need to communicate with him so I can't elaborate on that but his directions were very clear and to the point. It was a very stress free class.

This was a pretty easy class. There is a lot of work but not difficult. Be ready for a lot of reading, discussion boards, quizzes, and tests.

Mr. Cardona made it very easy to access the material used for this course, had the option to use the school's free textbook, however I purchased a newer version online. Canvas layout was very organized and easy to use, just be ready to analyze videos and take notes! I recommend this class to anyone looking for a class about current social issues.

There is a decent amount of reading and writing required for this class, but no long papers or anything too overwhelming. Lots of discussion posts and quizzes. Use Quizlet to help you study for the quizzes and exams and you'll do just fine. You will learn so much in this class!

I took Mr. Cardona over the summer of 21' for sociology 120. He was nice, but gave no feedback. Might have been because it was online. Lots of informational videos, so make sure you watch them thoroughly. Tests are heavy on vocab. Overall, easy professor and nice.

Mr. Cardona is a great professor and made his directions very clear. There were 4 assignments a week due on Thursdays; 2 quizzes and 2 writing assignments. The quizzes were not too bad if having read, but the writing assignments were quite lengthy and required lots of details and sources, but they were not hard overall. Definitely recommend him!

He was a really good teacher. This class is very insightful on the real world and very interesting. I received an A+. 4 Exams in total including 1 take home exam & final exam. Not much homework. You need to come to class or you will not pass the class. He goes over 98% of the test material in class. VERY FUNNY & GREAT DEBATES.

Professor Cardona's SOC120 class is engaging and insightful. The workload is manageable, with quizzes, discussions, and tests. Using tools like Unstuck study and Quizlet can really help with exam prep. Overall, a solid class worth taking.
