OUTSTANDING TEACHER! I had no knowledge of math prior to taking his class. Was in there with people who had taken Algebra as many times as I had and failed. I passed with a "B". He relates it to everyday life.

I agree w/the other student. I took College Algebra and made a "D" and took it from him and made an "A". I took Finite and Bus. Cal. from him also. He is a wonderful teacher and makes himself available to help you. HE'S GREATTTTTTT

He is a wonderful professor.If you have any problems,he addresses them and breaks everything down to the simpliest form so that you can fully comprehend the material.I highly recommend taking him for any math.I have taken him for Finite and Business Calc.

GREAT INSTRUCTOR!!! I recommend him to anyone. I took him for finite and business calculas. I dropped Leduc because I was failing and took him and I made a B. He brakes things down to where you can understand. Does not mind students asking questions.

He gives alot of homework but he makes sure you know what you are doing. Pretty Funny and makes the class go by fast. Take him if you want a good math foundation. He really prepares you for College Algebra.

AWESOME teacher! This was the second time I was taking this class, and I literally walked out knowing what was going on when I was taking him. He gives hw as practice, but never goes over it (than again I took him in the summer so maybe he just didn't have enough time to)! REALLY RECOMMEND him!! Corny jokes, but real nice man!!!

Mr. Nwaguru is a very good Math teacher. His teching style for a good foundation is perfect. He assigns HW, but only to practice the work. He has a sense of humor that allows time to go by quickly. For the record, yeah he is a late person; however, if you ask me, that just means a shorter class period! lol.., Nonetheless, Great easy-going teacher!*

The numbers OBVIOUSLY say it all! He actually teaches math very well. As long as you pay attention and do the homwork, you are set. The reviews he gives are almost EXACTLY the test. There is a small catch. You must show your work, for the review and test. He actually cares and wants you to learn the material. I definitely recommend.

Great teacher! Yes he sometimes briefly leave during exams. No one in my class cheated. If you did and he caught you it would be a memorable day. Very concerned about your learning. Teaches shortcuts, helpful hints. You need this for serious math. Our class was impressed to the point that we formed a group & asked that he teach a Cal3 Summer class.

This is exactly what i needed, He brushed my algebra as well and he is very helpful, I'm still in his class but i'm sure of an A because i understand his teacher like never before. I have all my HW done and that helps a great deal. Now, school is fun, and he makes life a better place to live in.

Mr. Nwaguru is a great man. Even if he treats students like kindergarten kids, he made math easy to deal with. His jokes are hilarious. He didn't like that I was often late so he didn't curve my B to an A but it's OK. Overall, I like his personality. Teaching is not a duty for him, he is a smart man and the teacher from heart.)

He is a very cool teacher. My weakness has always been math,and honestly didnt think I would pass. Follow his direction and you will do good. He is always late, but as long as I passed it didnt bother me.

He's GREAT. He is clear in his presentation of the material. He tries to compare the lessons to everyday life, so that students can comprehend the concepts. He taugt me College Algebra and Finite Math. DO THE HOMEWORK and attend every class and you'll be fine. Passed both classes with 'A'.

ok i've taken trigonometry,finite math, calc 1,2 and im a current student in calc3. He's a smart guy, rude at times but he wants you to learn. ive made A in all his classes execept trig but that was my fault. If you do what you are supposed to do you'll be fine. just be careful with calc2, it's hard but i made 3 A's and 1 B on the exams

Hey guys,If you are really interested in learning math take this guy. He really is a great professor. You still need to work hard as calculus classes are not easy. Best math teacher I've ever had period.

First, remember this is calculus, not an easy subject. With that in mind, he was a great prof. His homework and reviews were harder than the actual test. On several occasions he helped me with hw problems after class to make sure I understood it. I highly recommend him if you actually want to learn. It's an easy A, provided you do your part

Took him for Calculus 2. Hes a great teacher! but grades tough.... has 4 test. must show all your work for every problem if not then you wont get credit.If you do ALL the homework he assigns then your exempt from the final!

Took Cal 2 in the mini. It was a tough class to do in such a short amount of time, but if you do the hw and the reviews, the tests are easier.

took him for finite math. not a hard class but im terrible at math, hes strict on having the book and will put you on the spot for not having it or materials. doesnt assign homework anymore, its optional but if you do it, you have at least a B for sure. only 4 tests and no final. easy to understand.

took him for cal III in the summer.wonderful teacher.no regrets.he explains material throughly.doesnt rush through concepts.gives plenty of examples.enjoys teaching.will help you if you give him 100%.doesnt grade HW but if you do ALL of it and take good notes you will do fine.tests are based on HW and the review sheets.book,attendance mandatory.

A very straight forward prof. Always bring your book to class and pay attention. He would let the class go early if everyone was participating. He said the tests were homework driven and they were. The questions on the tests came directly from the homework problems, number changes on a few, but overall most were the exact problem from the homework.

This guy is a gem. Class lectures are extremely helpful. If you don't learn from him, you're either a slacker or you didn't study. He treats you like an adult and communicates the material better than any math professor I've ever had.

Prof. Nwaguru is an awesome professor exams are HW based. He treats you like an adult and will not baby you. Do your homework and you'll pass with an A. I've taken him for Trig., Cal 1-3 and got all A's. Love this guy he's the best prof. I've ever had.

Do not be late, participate in class, follow all instructions to the last detail, do ALL of the homework, and you will do well. 4 tests are total grade. no comprehensive final. teacher has an accent but is understandable. He reviews trig and algebra concepts briefly when class needs a refresher before moving onto a Cal 2 unit that will use it.

he's an excellent professor who really wants you to learn the material. Doesn't go over the entire material in every chapter, but covers most of it. excellent for engineering students.

Always be in class. He gives great lectures and expects the class to participate, gives extra credit to students who do. I took him in the mini and most of the class got As. As a past engineer, he concentrates on the material that is important and not adding a bunch of hard algebra to the calculus.

Israel is the best I took him for Cal 2&3 and Diff. Eq. 4 tests no comprehensive final He assigns homework but not graded. You MUST do the homeworks or you WILL NOT pass The homeworks are the reviews for his tests He gives tons of examples and doesnt matter your level of skill he will go over the smallest detail on examples. Dude is a beast in MATH

EASY A. Funny Class. Tests are exactly like HW. But he doesn't teach you a lot. He just covers 2-3 examples in one class, and spends the rest talking about something else. Also he skips many things and never prove theorems. You'll need to teach yourself if you'd like to actually learn.

Many people get turned off by his style; often they're frustrated that he seems to go so slow or seems to be talking down. Truth is, he is an old-school, step-by-step teacher; best you're going to get for advanced Calc and DiffEq. There is NO EQUAL. End each class smiling from comprehension! Confused? Ask and he breaks it down (even Cal I concepts)

You want the best? This is the professor you should choose. He breaks down everything for you. His homework doesn't count as a grade, but they will be on the exams. Study the homework, and you will pass the exam. Do not disrespect him, he will embarrass you in front of the class. He is too awesome, so take him if you want to perfect math!

I've taken already College algebra, trig, precalc, Calc 1-3, linear algebra, DE and Emath at UH, and through all my math professors Israel rocks. you gotta follow his rules. Do the homework which is your review for tests. He hates when you get late or talk in class. He is old style but worthy...

Take him!!This professor explains math really well. He gives little homework that he doesn't grade. He assigns a lot of group work and extra credit that he never really gives you credit for. however, His tests are multiple choice and he always gives you partial points on tests even if you get them wrong.

This professor was very helpful with explaining all of the material from the textbook. He made sure that everyone knew what was going on. He was always very optimistic and he never really cancelled class unless it was an emergency. I recommend this professor as he is very professional and his math skills are exceptional.

His lectures are awesome! He relates everything to real life. If you do your homework you'll pass with flying colors. Don't have your phone out in class though because he has no problem calling people out. Will definitely sign up for his Calc 2 and Calc 3 class

I took his trigonometry class over the winter break. He is the best math teacher I have ever had. I'm not a big fan of math but he made sound super easy and clear. He is sarcastic but funny as well. Gives a lot of practice problems but if you do your homework nobody can stop you from getting an A. Do not miss his class. Highly recommended!

I did not pass the class, however, he was the best math professor I ever had. I took it Summer 5WK. It went too fast for me to keep up. If it was a full semester I would have passed. There is tons of HW that matters at the end. Do it!!! Textbook, but no online. He gives real world examples and relates it to the subject. Gets very mad when late.

Prof relates math to real life. He teaches very well, but can be a bit unorganized at times. 3 tests, 1 final. No test reviews given, you must study the hw probs that he assigns after each lecture. HW is due every exam day. Do not be late, No cell phones. Must buy textbook, but No mymathlab. Final is departmental and comprehensive. He loves goat.

I took this professor for Cal 1, 2, 3 and differential equations. I got al A's! THE BEST EVER!. Everything is explained by details! He makes sure that everyone is understanding.

Professor Nwaguru encourages you to be independent as a student and an adult. However, do not shy away to ask for assistance when you need it. He responds to his emails and will give you his personal phone number if you need his help. One thing to avoid in this class obviously is procrastination. Only gripe, I can't understand his accent sometimes.

He's an amazing professor, except the only thing that he usually late about 30 minutes, everything was great!

Cool and makes math fun. The course has 4 exams(20 questions) and 35 assignments(15~ easy questions each) with 90+ days to complete. Never late for me, lets students vote on exam dates, and offers free 1-on-1 help online or in person. Participation isn't required in lectures but helps. Complaints come mostly from students who don't pay attention.
