Probably the best instructor TRU has! Always willing to help, extremely brilliant, funny and makes difficult subjects that much easier. Lectures are extremely helpful. Ivan made a subject that I wasn't very interested in the best course of my semester. I would recommend him to anyone, accounting student or not!

Ivan is the straightest shooter you will run into as a teacher. He is a great prof that explains every single aspect that you could encounter on an exam, but you must pay attention, take notes, and come to class if you expect to do well. Tests are very difficult for some. Final exam was a monster 5pg case that covered everything. Great prof though

One of the better classes I've taken with Ivan. He knows his stuff, that's for certain. But for some reason his voice makes me angry

Read the chapter before or after class, do the assigned problems, show up and take notes. You will get an A. If you don't then you'll fail and probably won't survive any taxaccounting classes. Easy if you put the effort in to keep up. His exams are so straight forward.

An exceptional teacher for TRU. Very well organized lessons, well prepared for his class and clear explaining all the concepts. The absolute best teacher you could have teaching tax. Exams are straightforward but not necessarily easy. Use the study guide and do the practice problems however and you'll do fine.

Probably the best prof in the department. Couldn't be clearly in the lectures, no class time is wasted, and every relevant point is covered in detail. Fairly good sense of humor and keeps the class light. Gives a ton of guidance in terms of what to study in order to prepare for exams. If you do the suggested homework the exams will be no problem.

Ivan is without a doubt the best teacher in SOBE at TRU. He is a brilliant lecturer and makes a topic like Tax something fun that makes you actually enjoy and want to know about. Before he would say whats on exams but he no longer gives an outline, just what chapters, so be prepared for anything. You have to work very hard to do well in his class.

Your grade in Tax is completely dependent on how well you study. However, you have to attend class because Ivan basically makes everything in the textbook so much easier and understandable. If you don't show up, I promise you'll fail. Ivan is also completely fair when it comes to grading.

Ivan is fantastic! He knows his stuff, comes to class prepared, and explains it all well. His expectations are high, but reasonable. The nature of the course is difficult, but he lectures in a clear way to help understand the topics.

Ivan is an amazing professor and is very straight forward. His lectures are perfectly clear and organized and he provides students with many examples and practice questions. Show up to class on time and pay attention in lectures and you will do just fine. He takes boring content and relates it to real life which makes a big difference! I recommend.

Ivan is a straightforward, responsible, and strict professor. Very clear scoring standards and wonderful speeches. He wants to see students work hard to understand accounting knowledge, so even if you have a weak foundation or don't have good talent, it doesn't matter. You need to work hard to do everything well, and the rewards are generous!

Ivan is a gem of a prof at TRU. He teaches really well and ensures all concepts are clear, answers all hypothetical tax questions (which are not always the simplest). You are not having the best SOBE Accounting experience if you are not taking his Tax class ;)

Ivan is an old school guy but in a good way. He does not care where you come from or who you are as long as you simply pay attention and do your part as a student. The midterms and final make up the whole mark 25,25,50 which i like but others may not. The tests are what he says they are and its very clear.

Ivan is the best professor in fin/accounting that TRU has to offer. Words cannot explain how much I enjoyed taking FNCE4140 with him. He can explain complex concepts easily and give many examples to make sure you succeed and understand the material. The final was a comprehensive case with no wrong answers, the same as the assignments. Truly amazing

I took Tax1&2 with him. He's the best prof in the acct department!! The way he organized which chapter should be teach first very logical. He made the topic much more clear and gave lot of examples. Ivan is funny, caring and he tried his best to help me every time I booked appointment with him. Exam was manageable, but study hard and never be late

The most amazing professor. I will take him for any course he offers. Makes things easy and doesn't scare you at all. To the point, clear lectures. Always well organized. Nicely sums up everything and is amazing in circling back to things and creating links. Cannot stress this enough, the best professor there is. Be on time and pay attention.

Great professor !! Make things easier for everyone. Attend classes you will get good grade for sure. Beware of quizzes on exams, math's are easy on exam. ( Midterm quizzes was easy, but final quizzes were really tough ) also he doesn't consider 1minute late in class so be on time.

He's a bit strict but clearly enjoys accounting and wants you to succeed. His lectures were good and he's great at explaining things but you have to show up. The examples that he goes over in class are the exact same style as what's on the exams so make sure you do the practice he tells you to do. Won't let you in if you're late so come on time.
