She should ot be allowed to teach in University. I would prefer to clean streets than going back in her class.
Very caring instructor - made sure that all students understood the rather difficult material. I hope the rest of my professors in the future are as caring and interesting as her!
She's the best instructor I've ever had in biology!!!
All I have to say is she got shafted having to teach Bio 102. It's that class you should avoid, not her.
the material may not be most exciting but a good prof should be able to make it interesting..it's not a completely hopeless subject.she really tried with her movies to make it interesting but I still found the class really dull and kinda pointless..I hate it when profs read off the PPT. don't even bother coming to review classes if you can read!
I find her classes interesting. I like the way she presents things, slides and movies were great. I recommend her.
i like her cuz shes the only teacher reading and replying to my email over the weekend she answered my questions on saturday midnight.
Unless you like evolution, avoid the course at all costs. She was alright, kinda boring but tried to present lectures in an interesting way. The TA's were brutal markers for a one hundred level course. Grr. The exams were too bad but the marking was.
There is plenty misusage of the word "apprently." ;) And apprently, she likes to mark this class extra hard. Answers on exams need to be extremely clear and specific. Lecture notes are superfical. Extra reading in the text is needed for more details [which are required for exams].
Nice professor, but boring lectures. Midterms and finals are all about blindly memorizing stuff. Very detailed and clear and specific answers are required. Simply answering the questions with her slides is not enough, reading the textbook is a must for exams. Depends on the course and the TA's, TA's in BISC 101 are alright but TA's in BISC 102 are
she talks to fast, you cant understand her and all she does is read her notes off. no extra information, therefore no reason to attend lecture at all!!
BORING, ridiculous lectures, she just reads off her notes and for a review class, she reads off her review sheet, no help before exams, straight memorization. Avoid her if u can!
lectures are ok, topic is boring. she's knowledgeable and always answers my questions over email at any time.
Well i love biology but i am sorry i dont want to be rude but i dont find that the ways she teaches i learn alot.
Speaks very fast during lectures, and rushes through power point slides at an unbelievable rate. Presents a lot of information, but does not distinguish between relevant and irrelevant. I start toning out after about 30 min. Hope that you get a good TA, because Mladenovic's explanations are more confusing than enlightening.
We got behind in the lectures at the very beginning of the semester so she had to rush through the slides far to fast to write anything. Fortunately all the notes are online. All the information she gives is in the textbook but the midterm was fairly easy if you read the textbook. Seems nice, doesn't get mad when Superman crashes a lecture!
She relies solely on the textbook, so you might as well just buy it and read it instead of taking the class. She does not record her lectures, so if you miss anything, too bad for you! I loved biology before I took this class; now, i could care less about how plants and animals work.
Above all Biology teachers, she seems pretty decent enough. It's quite true that she relies more on the textbook than her own notes (not that I've seen them before) but at this case, there might be a lot less to know about the course than usual and just study the textbook. All in all, good teacher.
the labs are pretty clear and she helps a lot.
she is a great lab instructor - realy answers my questions clearly
good lab prof; enthusiastic
BEST PROF EVER!! her final exam was soooo easyyy!!! it was all open book...just study the notes and read what she covers in the notes from the textbook and u'll be fine! =)
Let me just say that attendance to her class is NOT mandatory, at all! I don't understand anything she is saying because she doesn't get her mic fixed! her mic is old or something! So I pretty much go over the entire lecture on my own everyday with the guide of the textbook which is like the size of my house, something that cant be carried 2 school
Lectures are so boring. Always 20 mins of technical difficulties and mic problems at the start of the lecture which are "not her fault" yet mysteriously doesn't happen with any other prof I have. No charisma or enthusiasm whatsoever.. seems to read all of her lecture notes from a pre-written script. Better of just studying from the book :(
i completely agree that being in lectures does not help much to understand the course material, but i also do not blame her, its not her fault bio is so boring. I guess it all depends on your level of interest before going to class, and mine is absolutely none, i give her credit for trying to make it as fun as possible but i mean its bio...
attendance sooo not mandatory! boring class!
Final exam was tricky. Content was extensive ~ 100 pages /week + ~20 pages/week for lab. Yay. Get cracking on the textbook right now!
She seemed to have a general interest in the course material, but lectures were useless and lecture notes were not worth reading through. Everything you need is in the textbook, and her exams cover everything so make sure you read the whole book cover to cover.
Midterm average: 23%. Both the midterm and the final were open book (no easy factual recall questions). The ecology project involved actually going out into the woods and counting ferns, whereas other profs simply tell you to pick an article and summarize it. Definitely not the best BISC 102 prof, go with Erin Barley, if you can.
Skip the lectures. Stay home and go crazy with post it notes on your textbook, its an open book final.
Does not go into details and not comprehensible sometimes.
Doctor M's exams are TRICKY! You not only must do your READINGS in the text, but also memorize the material real well and ACCURATELY, very accurately with tiny details. Bc as I said, her exams are tricky, period. Even if you think you know the stuff, you'll get confused by her questions during exams if your not well prepared. Study your labs hard.
She's terrible with technology. She spends atleast 10 minutes of lecture trying to get her mic to work. She speaks way too fast to complete notes. Her homework assignments are sometimes really unclear. Don't bother trying to email her with concerns. She'll just tell you to talk to the TAs.
Had problems every lecture with the mic. She doesn't speak very loud.
Very hard to understand, very soft speaker (even with microphone), enthusiastic, likes details on midterm. Only had her for first half of class, fair midterm. Going to lectures only useful for filling in blanks on slides. Pay attention to last slides about what's important to know for midterm.
Had her a while ago. Didn't enjoy going to lectures at all. and she was very hard to understand NOT because of her accent, but because of her MIC! Exams were ok though, she was kind enough to scale because our class average for the final was very low!
She's NOT a good prof. For each lecture, you have to read an ENTIRE chapter so in the end you're left with 20 chapters to study for the final. Her lectures are VERY boring and the final exam and the lab exams are HARD. She basically tells you to read the whole text and it makes me wonder what is a prof for?
thought she was a great prof. sure, she has a bit of an accent and had trouble with her mic, but that wasn't her fault. You do have to read one chapter per lecture, but what did you expect? She has a few easy assignments that account for a decent amount of marks and she has decent exams, although you have got to be pretty specific with your wording
her lectures are well organized and her notes are very detailed. She even has review sections in her notes to make sure you understand what's going on. PLUS...at the end of each lecture she tells you what stuff is most important to concentrate on. definitely recommend doing the readings
Decent prof. Her assignments were easy, but a complete waste of time. Her tests were fair, but there were a ton of multiple choice. I had a great TA, so that probably made the difference. A lot of textbook reading which is a must since there are questions from there on the exams. I hear she's the easier of the two BISC 101 profs.
No help in labs. Hardly ever present in lab and even then was less than helpful. Luckily, TAs were good.
A very good teacher, I found she made the class very interesting and got the key points across in lectures, be sure to at least skim the textbook because some testable material isnt mentioned in lectures
Her lectures are extremely boring and not mandatory. u can teach yourself with the text I would recommend taking this teacher over any other because her assignments are REALLY easy, and her exams are fairly easy if you study beforehand and know your stuff.
Dr. M is very knowledgeable in her field of teaching however, she goes through lectures topics really fast without giving student enough time to write down notes before she starts talking about the next topic and results in needing to consult the textbook from time-to-time. Nevertheless, she does make classes interesting and enjoyable.
Compared to the other bio 101 prof, she was AMAZING. As long as you listen in class and keep up with the readings, her exams are fair. She's really enthusiastic about the material and tries to keep it interesting with videos and diagrams. Even though we have to pay $40 for her lecture book, the review slides at the end of every lecture really help
STAY AWAY. You will FAIL her course because she will expect you to know EVERY DETAIL from the textbook. If you are willing to recite a 300 page textbook then this course is right for you.
You can try hard and get in the 80's but will still end up with a C+ so there actually is no point to trying in her class unless your getting a 87 or above you can not get a B so good luck if you plan on taking her but i would not recommend it
She's a really nice prof, not intimidating at all. The midterm and final were okay. If you want a really good grade be prepared to work for it. The only thing I didn't like about the course was her lack of help. When people asked questions during lecture or during the lab she wouldn't really answer the question asked.
Overall, good prof. However, she's not always clear in lecture, and it's hard to listen and try to take notes in the workbook. The exams aren't too bad if you study hard for them, even though a lot of material is covered in the course. Attending tutorials definitely helped and ask her questions during office hours or by email.
Horrible prof!
Excellent prof, absolutely loved her. She made classes really interesting and split up the marks in a fair way (ex. finals and midterms weren't worth too much on their own). Would definitely recommend getting her workbook if you can for the lectures and to go to every lab as while they aren't mandatory the lab exams are very hard and easy to fail.
NOT a good prof.
Terrible professor. She purposely speaks extremely fast during lectures, so you have no time to write down the important facts that you heard. Don't ask her questions, she's absolutely unhelpful. The TAs are better She's quite misleading, don't trust her when she says that exams "are based on her lecture notes", you need to read the entire textbook
Please try not to take this class with this teacher! I received in the 80's and was given a b-. She doesn't explain why or how she grades this way. My friend received a c+ with 75 percent. She relies heavily on the textbook and covers over 20 chapters. Be prepared to work hard and not get rewarded.
Final exam covered things that were minor/not even covered in lecture. Seems disinterested in the course herself.
OK professor. Not the best that I've ever had, but not the worst. The lecture part wasn't difficult; however, the lab was easy to fail. Her workbook is needed for midterm and the textbook is needed for final. I found the midterm to be fair, final was based on minor details/unimportant concepts.
I regret taking that class with her. Take it with some other prof else it will be a GPA dropper
Horrible teacher and tough marker. GPA dropper for sure. Regret taking this class with her. Take it with someone else!
Dreadful. Absolute dreadful. She told us to buy a lecture manual with fill-in-the-blanks to take notes in but her slides do not match up with it at all. She has a thick accent and does not explain things thoroughly or well at all, then moves on to the next topic quickly. Her labs are unorganized and she is less than helpful. Avoid at all costs.
i took BISC 101 and 102 with her. i don't really have any complaints. i found 101 a lot easier because 102 is more conceptual, but they are both doable. she seems to really care about how well of a job she is doing, and is really conscious of how students feel about the lectures. no complaints.
Took BISC101 with Dr.M as well. She is MUCH better for that class since it is more her speciality. The topics in BISC102 are not her specialty and therefore you won't get as good an education as you would if you had a different prof. However, she is very nice to students and will try her best to help you understand the topic. Exams are pretty fair.
I took both bisc 101 and 102 and I found 102 to be more fun. Basic stuff about evolution. I would recommend you take this class with ARCH 131, as they both go together very nicely. Be prepared to study for the lab exams, as you need to pass them to pass the course. Just make sure you answer all the questions in the lab manual and you should be fin
really cared about students, especially for a prof midterms were difficult lab final was very easy as long as you have a good understanding of your lab manual( its open book) one of the nicest profs i've ever met, but you have to work for your grade
BEST PROF AT SFU HANDS DOWN. cares so much about her students. good at explaining concepts (uses lots of analogies). always eager to answer questions. She makes biology FUN. posts lectures on canvas. lectures are interesting and interactive. Time to change my major LOL
the course is demanding, she has given help, but her teaching skills need to be improved
Great professor. Cares about students and very passionate. Have her for lab. Gives clear and easy to follow explanations. Assignments are straight forward.
There's a lot of help available. You just have to keep up with the course load and as long as you understand the material well you will do good. She is a really caring prof and along with the TA's they genuinely want you to succeed. The only downer are labs which are confusing and the lab exam which is unfortunately a big chunk of your mark.
Lectures were boring. However, she is very kind and cares about her students; she's constantly trying to improve her teaching methods. Midterm and final lecture exams were straight-forward. The lab final exam was tricky and you must pass it to pass the entire course itself. Help is always available. Overall, heavy course load but easy tests.
Definitely one of the most kind and caring profs out there. She always asks for student feedback on how she can improve and does her best to help aid her students. Lectures can be a bit boring and labs are usually rushed, but overall the course is interesting. At the end of each lecture it is made clear what will be tested on the midterm and final.
Such an amazing caring prof. I've has her for BISC 101 and 102 and I'm surprised she doesn't have a better rating on. BISC 101 itself is a little dull but she does an amazing job of teaching. 102 is about evolution and her grading is tough, but if she wasn't as tough it would be way too easy for a uni class. However labs for 102 are long and boring
Although I'm not great at biology, Dr. M made it quite interesting! Her slides were not crammed with extra info and she would always ask her students to leave exit slips with questions, that she would actually address during the next lecture! A lot of profs don't care much about how their students learn but she definitely does :)Tests were hard tho
A really caring prof one of the best I have had so far. Made the course itself much more fun even the you have to work for it to maintain your grade
One of the most caring professors I have ever met. Such a kind and warm hearted person. Genuinely cares about her students. That being said, you really need to work for your grade, but her exams are very straightforward. If you put in the effort you should be able to do fine! Honestly, one of the best professors i have ever had. lovely lady!!
Shes really nice and cares about your learning.
Dr. M made me love bio! She's very passionate, and always willing to help you understand. Lecture slides are full of information and are more than enough to do well on her exams and quizzes. Posts a lot of cool videos to help with the topic. She brought us candy during our midterm, and other snacks on occasion. Would definitely recommend.
Such a caring prof! Take advantage of her office hours!! Gives lots of advice on studying & preparing for quizzes, midterms and finals. Everything you need to know are on the lecture slides, including what kind of questions will be asked on the tests. She is present in labs and very involved with students personal learning. VERRRYYY GOOOODDDDDDDDD!
Tests and quizzes are based off of her notes. However, the notes are very poorly written and do not provide meaningful understanding of the material. Not to mention, they are terribly organized and are riddled with grammatical and formatting mistakes. Unclear in lecture and does not understand the material herself; the TAs are basically guide her.
Ivona is one of the sweetest professors I've ever had. She really cares about the well-being of her students and is very passionate about her subject. However, she and her TAs are hard markers, so you'll probably lose a lot of marks for small things. The labs are usually pretty long and boring, but the topics covered in the course are interesting.
Wouldnt recommend this prof to anyone but if youre a Bio student you just have to deal with her I guess. The prof acts nice but from the inside she doesnt care about her students at all. Her exams are badly written and she doesnt even do anything herself the TAs do everything.
Although prof is a nice person and generally caring about her students, the material covered in class and what will be asked in exams is occasionally very difficult to connect as questions can be asked in a very tricky way.
She's very caring but expects you to know EVERYTHING once you've learned it. You cannot fall behind and have to review after every lecture because there is a lot of material being covered. It's not hard to do well in the her classes so long as you ask for help and keep up. She's very organized and provides a lot of resources. Chooses good TA's too.
Ivona is a great prof and provides great feedback to you. Both, Bisc 101/102 are difficult courses, thus, preparing before the lecture and well before exams and quizzes will help you get a good mark. She is super helpful in explaining the topics in both lab and lecture. Be sure to keep up with the class average though! These classes are curved!
Explanations arent very clear. Office hours were not helpful. Wording of exam questions can be very tricky/confusing and answers are very specific (any synonyms to the answer are incorrect) When studying and you see something that you think might not be on an exam, STUDY IT because I guarantee it WILL be tested. Study each and every single slide.
she's a very sweet and caring person, and would make sure that everyone understood the material. her lectures and the way she taught the course was very organized and if you missed something in lecture she has all the info on the slides posted on canvas. noticed that she's also a very tough marker. when writing exams/quizzes you MUST be specific!!!
Had Ivona for both Bisc 101 and 102. She is one of the most caring profs I've had. To do well, you need to put in work but study straight from her slides, no textbook needed. Exams are very detailed and quite long but are manageable as long as you know her lecture slides. Ask questions in labs/office hours, study for quizzes and you should be good.
Two words: GPA KILLER
She is caring, but her exams are extremely difficult, the wording on the exams is extremely misleading and even if you have the correct answer it will be marked wrong if the words do not directly match up the answer key. Therefore, I suggest you MEMORIZE your lecture slides word for word.
Ivona knows her stuff but her lectures are super content-heavy and they can be difficult to sit through. Although, if you don't go to lectures you would probably be fine since all the slides are posted. Her exams were worded strangely and if your answers are not word for word, even if using synonyms you will probably not get the marks.
You have to be very specific with your wordings when it comes to exams. Some of her slides are worded strangely, however, she does gives good explanations during her lectures. The practice midterms are helpful!
Ivona is a very sweet lady, but she is VERY tough when it comes to assignments and tests. You must understand every concept she teaches (only her way is correct) in order to pass the course. You have to work hard to get a good grade. Also, the class is curved so beware!!!
she reads straight off the slides, slides miss information she puts on the final/midterm review and exams are not the same as she tells you to expect does not give a good amount of study material unlike the brown guy who teaches at sfu. shes a nice teacher i would give her a 6/10 no i would not take her again there is just a lot she could do btr
Ivona is super caring and wants to see her students succeed. Her midterm and final are solely based on the lecture slides. If you memorize the lecture slides then you will do well on the midterm and final.
Ivona is a caring professor. Her lectures are packed with content, but her Weekly Handouts and Weekly Worksheets r great practice so try completing them weekly. Midterm was easy and the Lecture Final was pretty difficult, she never posts any averages on Canvas with your grades so ask her personally to gauge how your doing in the class.
She makes lectures a bit more fun and engaging, has good TA's. Cares about her students, components of the course makes it easier to boost up your grade. Tests and lecture quizzes are quite difficult though.
"Dr. M" is a great professor. She really cares about her students' wellbeing and understanding of the course material. If you ever have a question/concern, go to her and she will help you resolve it. She takes feedback often. Beware: if you don't do the readings/practice she recommends, you won't do well because not everything is covered in class.
I had Dr M for both Bisc 101 and Bisc 102 in first year. Hands down, the most sincere prof there is, she genuinely wants her students to succeed and will help in any way she can to ensure so! Yes, exams can be challenging, but they're based off the lecture slides and handouts, so make sure you study those. This class taught me how to study lol
Ivona is a most caring instructor. She is so nice. Must attend her class once if you have a chance. Her exams and quizzes are not hard; coming from her lecture slides and handouts. Do every worksheet because some questions come directly from them. Hard to get full mark but possible to get high mark
Not clear grading criteria, not designing a better assignment that would immue to all contigency, very "canadian".
"Canadian" method of teaching which results in less organized course material, and eventually students receive lower than average grade than other profs.
Too bad that students could not find useful information from her assignments, lab components, online learning and quizzes. BTW, Pearson online learning is the worst among all online learning platforms.
Dr. Mladenovic is a sweet, kind and caring professor, She takes the time to get to know her students and actually cares about you. While her class is hard with lots of memorization, this is to be expected with any bio class. She brings treats to class occasionally and is very sweet and supportive of whatever questions you have.
Ivona really is such a nice professor. She really wants you to enjoy/ understand the material and is helpful in explaining concepts if you reach out. But this course is so unorganized. The quizzes are not hard but are weirdly formatted, It isn't clear what/how the information will be examined, and the canvas page is chaotic to navigate the info.
Dr. M is hands down one of the best profs Ive had so far. Weekly quizzes really help you digest the material and you can really tell that they are made to give the student an extra chance to raise their grades. The only thing I didnt like is that the quizzes and the exams were weirdly worded. Overall, a very good professor and class.
DO NOT take it with Ivona, unless you want your life to revolve around the course. We have forced pre-reading, two marked quizzes (Pre- and Post-lecture quiz), a 3hr online lab every week. She teaches this course like high school. It bores my mind out to be FORCED to go over the same simple material over and over again for completion marks.
Ivona explains well and gives fair exams. There are lots of readings to do, so the textbook is essential. Weekly quizzes are simple and straightforward if you do the readings and take note of all the details. The prof also responds to emails really quickly and is easily accessible outside of class.
Ivona is really nice and cares about her student. She tried to make lectures fun and encourages participation. She had weekly quizzes that are super easy if you read the assigned textbook pages. She also assigned some easy project that were nice grade booster. He midterm and final were fairly easy if you watched the lectures.
Dr. M is teaching Genetics for the first time, and she has been adequate so far. The course is challenging, and is very content heavy. You have to put in a lot of work during the week to practice the material and grasp it fully. Exams are fair, and she is very accessible and understanding. Tutorials are mandatory and unfortunately a waste of time.
really nice prof, genuinely cares about the students and pushed for involvement during lecture iclickers, especially following midterm results. midterm was about what you'd expect from a biology course and mixing lecture review and online sources helps to study concepts. definitely would recommend to understand genetics thoroughly.
Ivona is very caring and values the success of her students. The content/ material of BISC 202 is heavy and gets progressively harder as the semester progresses, so don't fall behind - as the ideas build. Keep up with the PEQ's and make sure you understand every lecture, if you want to do well! Don't underestimate the rigour of this course.
Ivona is a good lecturer. Her notes are what you'd expect from a bio class and encourages participation through iclickers. Her midterm was straightforward but studying is still required. Take advantage of the PEQs as it gives advice on how to solve each question. She rushed the content on the last day but should have just omitted those chapters. Gg
Dr.M is a very nice person but her teaching style is okay. If you don't read the textbook or do the practice questions, doing well is difficult.
She is an okay prof. I did like her lectures because they were clear but i wasnt a big fan of her slides because they were very vague powerpoints of random pictures. She is a very tough marker, you have to use the exact keywords that she uses or you will lose the mark even if your answer is correct
Lectures are not interesting. Very boring. Lectures are useless, you have to go home and teach yourself. Tests are awful and time consuming.
Dr. M is open minded and great at explaining the course concepts. Attending tutorials counts towards your grade and are recommended since some of the content on the exams may be from tutorial material. Dr M and her TAs are very explicit about what may or may not be on the tests. Very approachable and grades fairly. Make in depth notes on lectures!
Professor M is very passionate about bio and really wants you to understand it. I found her lectures kind of boring and the slides not helpful to study off of (Used more as an outline). You definitely have do the readings to have a better understanding. She's very clear on the grading criteria and gives you example exam questions during lectures.
Avoid this prof at all cost.
Do not take an online class with her. She could not give 2 s***s about the 40 online students she had. Given audio recordings and basically sends you off to do whatever.
Would not recommend, the lab exam was brutal. Boring lectures as well, slides also horrible.
Very friendly and approachable to questions/feedback. Lectures are content heavy in the span of 50min. but if you review and catch up its not too difficult. She also has handouts that sum up her lectures, self tests after each unit for practice and the textbook for extra help. Tests are fair and the lab exam is easy if you do the work
For all first years I would say avoid this prof and instead of taking this class at the Surrey Campus do yourselves a favour and take it in Burnaby.
Her class was quite boring and she had all these extra slides that were not covered in lecture, which just me the course hell. In terms of her marking it was super specific and not super fair.
Dr. M is very accommodating. We had a TA strike so she made the midterm open book and MC. However, she is a very tough grader and expects us to use correct and precise key words otherwise we don't get marks for the question. This makes it harder to do well on short answer questions in her exams... I believe the course was scaled though
Dr. Mladenovic was one of the first profs I had at SFU, and she was honestly really great. She is extremely caring and always did her very best to engage us in the material she was teaching, even buying the entire class of 200 donuts on one occasion. She is very sweet and the lectures/exams were fair, but you definitely need to study hard.
The class is challenging but manageable with dedication. While the professor's teaching style may not suit everyone, utilizing resources like the textbook and Unstuckstudy can help you succeed. Attend classes and stay on top of the material to earn a good grade.
Her labs were fun and her lectures were interactive which made it easier to follow along with topics. Definitely cares about het students and also got us all Tim bits one class. The midterm covers the first 1/2 of the course and the final covers the 1/2 half of the course, but the midterm was way easier than the final so don't be fooled.
ivona was really engaging. there were in class quizzes which made attendance mandatory. also weekly at home quizzes that ‘forced' you to review the material each week. TAs were really helpful, please talk to them if u need (ivona was also extremely approachable). labs weren't mandatory attendance but i recommend going to strength ur understanding.
If she spends a lot of time on something, it doesn't mean that it is necessarily important. Correct terminology is very important for the lecture exams. Lab exam is hard but doable if you start prep on time (I didn't). No point in buying the textbook. Going to lectures doesn't help much, but she has in-class quizzes that are worth 5%.
Easier than BISC 101. Office hours don't help. Spends a lot of time on useless stuff during lectures. If she emphasizes something, it doesn't mean it'll be on the tests and vice versa. Overexplains and ends up complicating the topic, eventually confusing you so it's better to ask TAs for help. Lab exam is easier than 101 as it is open book.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I did not listen to people when they said don't take it but I wish I listened. Her test were not related to the material and VERY DIFFICULT. Each lecture had 70+ slides. She gives test study guides but the tests are the exact opposite. Lab final was difficult as well. Try as hard as you want but that A will never be seen.
watch out, too many lecture slides and goes by content too fast.
Ivona is a good lecturer, but is difficult because of how she grades things. Her exams have many short answer questions that are generally somewhat open ended, but the answers she wants are far more specific than the questions ask for. This makes it kind of feel like you are being graded by invisible, unknowable criteria. Grade scaling present.
Shes middle of the pack in terms of professors. I got a grade worser than what I wanted, so attend office hours with her more often and get 1 on 1 talks.
Final had bad mcqs (like mostly ‘how many answers are correct' type thing) and short answer questions were more like long answer questions. She's nice and objective list helped.
talks about random stuff, not everything she talks about is on lectures, tests have nothing to do with lectures, practice midterms she provides are useless. Avoid taking her at all costs.
This class was way too hard as the lectures slides were confusing and the labs were useless for us to get prepared for the exams. Overall, a tough grader and the tests don't make sense. I would recommend not taking her!!!!!!
never take this prof, the final exam was horrible and not based on anything she even taught.
