She is extremely helpful, understanding, and clear during her lectures. Highly recommended. If you pay attention and do some extra studying, then you will get a good grade. Very intellegent lady who obviously has an interest in her subject.

She is really good if you're majoring in bio. The thing i liked about her class was that she provides you with the powerpoint and you just have to memorize those for the test. She also gives to extra credit. But overall, you have to study. Not too easy.

She's an excellent professor. I took her for BIO 101 and I hate science, but I could tolerate it with the way she taught it. I took her for lab and also enjoyed it. She teaches what you need to know and tries really hard to use examples so that we all understand. She sticks to the syllabus and puts sideshows on BB. Textbook use is very low.

Took the condensed 5 week course. Fantastic professor! Willing to help all students and answer any questions. Provided information clearly and used examples for reinforcement. Class attendance is important to be sure you can provide the required information on the quizzes and exams. Very helpful in lab as well.

Very nice lady as well as intelligent. There is a difference between knowing your material and being a good teacher though. Her tests do not reflect the material she highlights in her lectures. It is always a guessing game as to what she will focus on with her quizzes. Her lab section is much more straight forward then her lecture.

She is fantastic teacher! she makes you work hard. her quizzes are minimum 40 questions, you will take six of them and mid and final exams are 150 questions, but all are from the quizzes. straight forward lab. If you are hard worker you will get an A. I took 141 & 142 with her. I love her!

Excellent Professor! Just give your self 15-20min for study in between classes to keep up with the material and you'll do fine. She is very helpful and gives lots of extra credit. Material is well explained and she will give a group quiz after each quiz to help your grade.

BIO256 is not an easy class! Don't expect to breeze through this course without studying or doing hw. Her tests are very hard, designed to see if you payed attention and did hw. Classwork isn't difficult. She breaks down genetics in a organized easy to understand way and she really cares about helping her students! If you do your work you'll pass!

Awesome teacher! Try and she will do everything possible to help you. At the end of the day you are going to need to actually learn the material but she puts everything you could need on blackboard for you. NO complaints about this teacher.

Ok professor. for online course, audio lectures provided. optional quizzes (do them for the practice). 4 tests and 3 exams. All are VERY short (6-20 questions) and usually fairly difficult. Practice is an ABSOLUTE must. Started reading the text, but only used it for reference later - but it is highly recommended to at least skim each chapter.

Love Dr. Zorin. Her PhD in in genetics, so she readily admits when she can give you an answer on an advanced anatomy question, but she knows what you need for the class just fine. Her lectures and slides cover the lecture material, but your lab work will need to be self motivated like any other lab to get a good grade.

Literally, she is amazing. I don't right to many reviews on here but let me tell you that she is a great professor. She deeply cares for her students BUT IT WILL NOT BE AN EASY A! You have to study and take great notes! There are 4 quizzes and 2 exams (a midterm and final). The midterm is on the first half and final on the second half. LOVE HER.

Took this class in my undergrad at GMU and retook it at NVCC for a better grade. Best decision ever; got an A and learned tremendously. Dr. Z is so sweet and understanding. She's an amazing person and loves to teach. She was willing to take the time to explain hard concepts and has open lab hours for extra help. It's not the easiest A but doable.

I LOVE Dr. Zorin! She's so passionate. She's so kind and willing to help. Textbook in the old version is OK. The final is only the later half of the class! No homework. A little bit of extra credits. Her lab is easy too. This shouldn't be a difficult class if you do keep on track. It is a easy A for me. Definetely taking her again.

I took Genetics online with Dr. Zorin. For online classes, communication from your professor is essential and she is VERY responsive! She responded to all emails and discussion forum posts within 24 hours (usually much less). The lectures, self-check quizzes, and examples she gives to help with the homework were extremely helpful.

This professor is helpful when she wants to be. Her tests are EXTREMELY difficult and the midterm and final seem like they are tricky on purpose, 20 questions & each worth a lot of points, sucks. Dr.Z's hyper like a drill sergeant, yet always in a good mood. Tells u all u need 2 know 4 lab (no reading required) and the quiz (attendance mandatory). Labs r ez, sometimes fun, and always ends 1 hr early! Lab reports r condensed and ez 2 do (1-2 pgs). Final's from quizzes. Get Uvex goggles!! If u put her at her worst, she'll call u dude, dude.

I made the mistake of skipping lectures but I ended up copying notes from classmates and still managed to pass with a B+. By far the best Bio teacher I've ever taken!

For lab, I recommend this professor. Her quizzes are group quizzes. But you must come to every lab and if you don't show up to the lab then u must go to a musuem and fill out the answers. But u must go to every class for the lab because at the end of every class she gives a quiz.

The homework questions the same as the ones on the quizzes and tests. Dr. Z tells you in the lecture exactly what you need for the tests and quizzes, and how she wants the answers phrased. Awesome professor, interested and excited about bio. It was a 9:30am class and I am NOT a morning person but she made me look forward to going. Highly recommend

Lets u work with partners on every quiz except final. Final is made up of said quizzes (copy pasted on the final). Easy A, take her. Seriously. Ahhh great professor! Dr. Z is so full of energy and one of those professors that you miss after you take them. I am by no means a science "person," but she made things interesting and although she can seem intimidating at first, she genuinely cares for her students. She's also just a super interesting person!

Her class is super easy, just attend class and you'll pass. I lived a long distance away (roughly 2:30 hours) and she was understanding as to why I'd arrive late. Mid-term was a little more difficult than final, so be sure to study more for the mid-term. She's a genuinely nice person and wants her students to succeed, and if you take her, you will.

I was skeptical at the beginning of the semester but Prof Zorin grew on me. She made the material bearable and easy to understand. she provided us with in class extra credit that was similar to the material that was on exam/quizzes. Labs were way too long expect to be there for 2-2.5 hrs. Even so, I would take her again.

She is a super nice professor. As long as you do your work, she will really care about you and want you to succeed. Class activities are helpful for quizzes and you get extra credits from that too. There was one time that I was hungry and she brought me some snacks. I can't believe how caring she is, one of the greatest professors I've ever taken.

only had her for lecture but the lab required a workbook (created by her so I assume you'll need if you take her for lab too). her tests were tricky but straightforward; they're mostly based on the hws and quizzes she gives. 4 quizzes thru out the semester and she drops the lowest one. overall she knew her stuff and i'd take her again.

The professor is pretty straight forward. 12 labs, 4 tests, one midterm, one final, and one group project. She gives a practice midterm and final that are pretty close to the real deal. Shes good with replying back and shell help you if you ask. Shes good, you still have to work a bit for your grade but shes very understanding. 10/10

Prof Zorin is an amazing professor I have ever met. She is an excellent teacher for BIO 101. I wasn't someone interested in biology, but she made it so easy for me. Just study your homework, quizzes, and summary notes and you would definitely pass her class.

Participation graded via polls and in class activities which are very easy. HW can be tried as many times as you need for 100. 4 quizzes given, lowest dropped

She is organized, funny, and makes the class incredibly straightforward. Her lectures are amazing, and she gives plenty of homework that can be re-done until you get a perfect. If you put in the time and effort, you'll have no problem on test day.

Loved her class, great professor. Very straight forward and she genuinely tries to help the class as a whole understand by practicing what we learned that day. Homeworks are pretty straightforward and allows you to retake until 100. They help with quizzes and exams. She provides you with study guides to the exams and responds to emails fast.

Professor Zorin is truly one of the best professors I have had. I was so nervous about taking this course, but I ended up loving it! She is kind, organized, and prompt when grading assignments. I'm sorry, but you should consider dropping college if you don't pass this class with at least a B. I'm not big on biology, but whatever your major is, eventually, the classes will get complicated, and the professors will be strict. If you see a basic class with an awesome teacher that gives 8% extra credit tough, then college is not for you.
