Semester has not ended but she is awesome! You will not regret taking her. She is probably the best Math 150 teacher at El Camino. You can tell right away she cares about her students. Her class structure is extremely helpful with her notes online so you can print them out. There is nothing surprising on tests with a given study guide. Cute too.

Mrs. Forbes is excellent, she lectures from a projector and provides notes online to print out and fill in for class note. In my opinion, that is awesome because I hate taking notes. Homework is done on couurse compass and her quizes and exams are exactly he same as the notes, so study those, and you'll do well!! Good Luck!!

Absolutely one of the best professors to take at El Co! Lectures are great because she provides notes to print online and bring to class to fill in while she lectures, and the best part is that quizes and exams are damn near a replica of the notes!! Homework is done on course compass, which is nice if you are on the computer all day!! Have fun!

Took her for Stats, which is a very hard class, she was THE BEST! Will go over example problems until absolutely everyone understands. I am working on my masters and have never had such a great math teacher...makes a boring subject fun and interesting! Super fun teacher! She explains the lectures in detail and listens and actually helps you understand the lesson. Everything is online and always helps you find a way to pass the class.

I strongly recommend taking Ms Forbes especially for Math 150. She is well organized with the course designed to help the student. There are plenty of quizzes and study guides in order to help you with three tests and a two day final. It is evident she still has a passion for teaching and will assist you if you need help. No need to buy the book.

Her class uses CourseCompass for the homework, and it is extremely helpful. Final score will replace lowest other exam if higher. 1 page cheat sheet for all exams, and she hands out great study guides. You either print, or she hands out, notes with blanks to fill in that I found helpful. TAKE HER! You'll learn, and it's easy.

She's good, but the www that she uses for homework/quizzes is a PAIN. VERY time consuming because if you are 1/1000 off on a number, it counts you wrong. Too many ways to mess up a question. Takes FOREVER to get homework done and it's very frustrating. tutorial on homework does not show it w/calculator steps and is different from her teaching.

Im taking her Statistics class and OMG it is so fun! She's the best teacher to take when it comes to Stats. Her class is fun, her teaching method is really good, and her exams are reasonable. She's very approachable so dont be shy if you are stuck or falling short. However, myMATHlab hw sucks. TAKE HER!!!!

I think I had way too high expectations. She's a good teacher, but was absent during the hardest sections. Instead of focusing on those chapters, she rushed it and left us confused. She was o.k. I expected better.

I took her statistics class in the Fall and she is a REALLY good teacher! She explains everything and all. I love her teaching style. She is very enthusiastic and she loves what she does. However, the exams were TRICKY & TOUGH. Only the same 2-3 students would get the A's. You can feel free to ask for help if you are lost! She wont bite ;)

One of the best professors I've had. Always helpful, she truly cares about her students. I swear she had everyone's name down after the first class. I wouldn't call the class easy but it never felt difficult. Exam questions were similar to homework questions so I knew that if I stayed current with my homework, I'd be fine. Highly recommended.

Forbes is great professor. I took her summer stats course-very fast paced, uses MyStatLab for online HW/quizzes, provides formula sheet on exams (3 exams), cumulative final, replaces lowest exam score with final exam score (if higher). Attend class, keep up with online HW, and you will be fine.

Mrs Forbes, is an Amazing Teacher, Amazing.She is so down to earth, very clear, very helpful, really cares about her student, she gives formulae sheet, calculator function, and everything to make life easy, it was an easy class. Pay attention and ask questions when you don't understand. Don't wait for the night before to study as with every class.

Her tests are definitely long, make sure you understand the concept other than just memorize it. She will test you everything you learn in the class. HW is easy and it's different from the test. This class is probably not that tough if you don't have much going on. She's a great teacher, very nice and approachable. BUT her tests are really hard, theres no open notes, or open book but she does give a formula sheet. And the online hw doesn't help you at all, its completely useless, i hated it bc it wasn't relevant to the tests.

She really explains things clearly and if you are not getting it she will keep on explaining. Totally approachable after class or during her office hours. Be sure to be registered wait-listed. She will not take on any extra people not on the waitlist. Online homework and quizzes will be part of your grade. Show up, pay attention and do the work.

Professor Forbes is an excellent math instructor. Stats is can get a little tricky at times but with her teaching style, you'll breeze through it. Just remember to take good notes, pay attention to detail, and DONT SKIP CLASS! For tests, follow her examples, do hw, and memorize key concepts and you'll be fine.

I am so thankful for taking Forbes. I transferred to USC and would be lost in my stats class if it wasn't for her. She makes sure everyone understands the concepts before she moves on. Her tests are clear and are very similar to the practice exams she gives you prior to the test. Save your notes if you plan on transferring!

Forbes is a very energetic and spontaneous teacher. This class is not easy, you have to really study for the tests and do the online homework, but she helps out a lot to make sure you understand it. The notes are printed out and we go over them and have fill in the blank and examples we do in class. As long as you study you should get a good grade.
