He is a great teacher! If you study hard and ask questions you should be able to get an A. He is very willing to help students and teaches the material well, but just be ready for a more who-did-what-in-chemistry/concept final vs. word-problem type tests. He is a fast talker and has high-energy so be ready to keep up! Def. recommend him!
SECOND! He's a good teacher. Explains very well and has helpful examples during lecture. Gives out hw that is due day before the test. Tests aren't that hard if you go over the hw and book examples. Have to be able to critical think. Very helpful. Always willing to help. Study the book examples, the hw, and the notes. The A is very achievable :)
He's really attractive and helpful but I found that his method of teaching isn't very good. He's always willing to help, but he will make fun of you on your test if you get something wrong or if you ask a stupid question during class. He's a laid back teacher, just not an easy class.
Mckeachie gets a 9.5 out of 10 & he'll help u set an amazing foundation. He's easy to learn from, lectures clearly, explains things well, plus he's a really cool young dude that is entertaining & he makes it fun to learn from him! His tests are fair, labs are easy & like most classes u must show up if u want to do well! I HIGLY recommend him!!!
I really enjoyed having McKeachie. He's very laid back with his students, but you can tell he expects a lot from himself. He's a hard worker...and he does expect hard work from his students, but he's not super strict. This is the first semester that he's teaching 1A, but he's always well prepared. Liked him. Explains things well and cares about us.
He is a HARD teacher, class average for most of the exams was a D and half the class ended up dropping toward the end. He does NOT grade on a curve either. He gives very little extra credit, what he did give was 2 point if you went to school on a Friday and attended a 1-2 hour science lecture. As a person though, he seemed like a really cool dude.
McKeachie, McKeachie… so hard. I put in soo much time for this course and BARELY managed a B. To study for a test, study labs and redo homework's over and over!! thats the key right there! other than being a tough teacher he is nice and helpful. puts extra credit on tests and also if you attend science lecture series, plus 2 points...
VERY difficult class. Dr. McKeachie knows his field extremely well; his lectures and powerpoints are clear and easy to understand, he'll answer all of your questions, he's a fair grader, and he's pretty funny too. There are 5 exams and a final... the exams get progressively harder but they're not impossible. I'm expecting an A in the class
Lectures are long to as he integrates the 106 portion. Sometimes there was no break so it was 2.5 hours of paying attention. I enjoyed his class, there were many moments where the whole class was laughing. These moments made the 7 unit class more bearable. To do good, you must try to UNDERSTAND the concepts, not memorize them. There's too much info
He knows his stuff, but I didn't think his examples helped very much for most of the homework material. He is a very fair grader. The one thing I would warn people about is that if you are shy about asking questions he is NOT the professor for you. He makes you feel stupid for asking questions, like you should know all the answers already.
The best professor I had class with in saddleback college. He knows almost everything about chemistry. Homeworks, assignments and exams are easy as what he teaches in the class. You do your own best, you'll definitely get an A.
The best professor at Saddleback by far. He is extremely helpful and works hard to make a hard class manageable by using relatable examples. I learned so much in his class and would take him again if I could! I highly recommend taking his course if you can!
His teaching quality is perfect. He is really knowledgeable, caring and hardworking. It is a little hard to get A but possible. Don`t miss class sessions an take home works serious. Certainly his A is the most valuable grade I have ever get. He is highly recommended.
Wish he taught all the chem courses at saddleback. He was VERY helpful, and approachable. About a week before every test he posted a topic sheet AND practice test AND solutions with step-by-step execution. He explained concepts very well. Not only did he grade things generously, but he also provided good feedback and explanations. Take him.
McKeachie is an awesome professor. The class isn't reallythat hard but you have to put a lot of time and effort into it. He sends you a list of all concepts to know for the exams with practice tests. If you can do all these problems and know the concepts you should be golden! Prepare for lots of memorizing though and brace for his strange jokes!
7 unit class is due to be hard to handle and Ryan def has a lot to go through but he did it with grace and ease. Really fun, enjoyed taking his class. He is very clear but his tests can be a butt clencher.
Cool guy. Hard class overall. It seems as if he only lectures on the basics and then tests you on difficult material. It is a lot of memorizing. He also always complains about students missing the same thing every semester on exams. Doesn't that suggest he should teach it a little differently then? food for thought.
I took Professor McKeachie last semester for Chem 1A and he's an amazing teacher that prepared me for my current Chem 1B class. His lectures are in-depth yet simple and when compounded with the labs prepare you for the tests. Make sure to do all of your homework as well in order to receive a high grade in the class!
I took McKeachie for Chem1A and worked by ass off. I used the book, study guides, homework, and tutor and still got bad grades on the tests. I asked him for additional help and he had nothing more for me. I ended up with a B but will never take him or refer anyone to take his class. I have never done so poorly in a science class.
I took Chem 1A with Dr. McKeachie. He is an awesome teacher overall. You do have to study to succeed in this class. He is very personable and you can ask him questions. Utilize his office hours. I recommend him.
First of all, I have tried rating this teacher 6 times. They all keep getting rejected. I believe this teacher has fake ratings. Why? This teacher is the hardest of the hardest. A students gets Cs. B students get Ds. C students get Fs. Good luck passing this class lol. Even tells the class that we are in college and should be taught the same asUCI
Dr. Mckeachie is hands down the sweetest professor I've ever had in my life. He cares so much for his students and wants everyone to succeed. He's also very inspirational. Sure this class is tough. It's Chem and chem is always tough, but he gives us what we need to succeed. I learned a lot from his class and will never forget Dr. Mckeachie
I barely passed. Very intelligent prof and knows his chem. But, for some reason he likes to test you based on your knowledge in general as a whole, and not just in chemistry. Most of the exam questions are not even fair to have on the exam. They r deep comprehensive questions that he never taught to us! I got an A in calc2& C in chem. Don't take!
Teacher is amazing. Really easy A. Teacher has really good lectures. If you want to learn chem, this is the right professor for you. Got an A without really studying much.
This teacher is amazing. The reviews bashing him are definitely wrong. Took this class and learned a ton!!! He has some really cool experiments that he does outside. Takes the entire class outside to take a break and explore chemistry ;). I wouldn't take any other teacher! Thank you Ryan!
One of my favorite professors ever! He's a phenomenal lecturer, but does move through material fast (and talks fast too). Tests are not easy you have to utilize all you problem solving skills and knowledge learned in class. I don't have a science background but got As in both 1A/B with him. Gives you all the tools to be successful just work hard!
One of the best professors on I've ever had. He really cares about all of his students and wants you to succeed. Don't count on being spoon feed answers and be willing to put effort into this class. His supplemental tests are very relevant to the actual exams.
If you put in the effort, you'll do just fine.
Prof. McKeachie is probably the best professor I've had at Saddleback. I would highly recommend his Chem1A class to anyone taking chemistry at saddleback. He really wants you to succeed and is also a really good teacher.
He's a fine educator, and he doesnt spoon feed the material, he has a great volume of detail in lectures and if you're willing to go, he'all give concise explanations in office hours. His style is universal and fair, and he only awards A's to the individuals who are truly willing to go the extra mile, as he should.
McKeachie is fair grader & runs an entertaining lecture but don't get too stoked on the raving reviews... This course is very difficult-- half drop & 3 or 4 keep As. Exam scores average low all semester. Expect dense material delivered very quickly. If you're not into Chem this could be a painful course.
McKeachie is by far the best professor ive ever had! His lecutures are interesting and will keep you entertained with his comedy. The material in this class is not easy and his test are extremely difficult(all free response/no MC), that being said he is an easy grader on both tests and labs by give a lot of partial credit. Hard but a must take!
I am an Economics Major that does not require a science course of this magnitude (so my counselor says..), but I don't regret a single second of taking this class. Dr. McKeachie is anything but easy, although, he is one of the greatest, most talented, and involved professors I have ever had. If you want to really learn Chemistry, take his class.
great teacher
Dr. McKeachie is one of the best Chemistry professors I have ever had. Unfortunately, I took a W for his class due to a change in my major, and the class was rendered unnecessary. If it wasn't, I would have stayed! He makes Chemistry a conversation rather than a typical lecture. He will always answer your questions and help you understand! 10/10
Professor McKeachie covers a lot of material very quickly. The concepts are more unrelated in this course than they were in Chem 1A. He is very responsive to emails. You need to approach him if you don't understand something.
He lectures a ton but they are pretty funny. Before this course I absolutely despised chemistry, but after just a few lectures with McKeachie I very much enjoyed it. Even with the lectures being nearly 3 hours I was intrigued almost the entire time. Tests are pretty hard but he gives a lot of partial credit. Couldn't recommend this course enough.
Prof. McKeachie is one of my favorite professors. Forewarning, I hate math, I'm terrible at it, and chemistry, especially Chem 1A involves a lot of math. With all that said, Prof. McKeachie makes every effort to make sure you understand, be it through his lectures (he's good at reading a room and telling when people are nodding off) or labs.
Great guy! The guy can talk about chemistry forever but that just shows how much he really knows about his field. Super bummed I couldn't take him for 1B. Gives an insane amount of partial credit on tests, so just kind know whats up and you're set PS: he looks kind of like Chris Wehan from the San Jose Earthquakes
Amazing professor! Yes, the lectures were around 3 hours long but he made it somewhat interesting. Exams were based purely on the lectures given. He puts the lectures on canvas. No curveballs on the exams. He's very generous with partial credit. As long as you study the lectures and understand every slide, you can get the A.
Great teacher and a great class. I had him for both Chem 1A and 1B, and I can assure anyone that this is the professor you want for both classes. He is very lenient with partial credit on tests and his lectures are informative and thorough. It is a hard course and studying IS required, but if you put in the time and show effort, you will do well.
Mckeach is definitely one of my favorite professors by far. He is so caring for his students, lenient, truly wants students to succeed, exams are very straightforward, and tries to make lecture interesting even for a 8AM summer class. My only issue was that he would gloss over important stuff that needed some emphasis. Wish he taught organic chem!
I took Professor McKeachie for both Chem 1A and 1B. He had such amazing lectures and examples. If you're confused you can simply ask, he likes answering questions. He is very approachable and can be reached through email. His exams are tough, but you end up waaaaay more competent in chemistry than before. I'm at org-chem and my foundation is good.
Ryan is an awesome teacher, and explains everything well and has an awesome sense of humor. However the class is hard and you have to do all the homework and study so much! He makes you work for the grade. Tests are based on the powerpoints and hw so make sure you do them. Don't get behind cuz u won't be able to catch up. Ask for help if u need it
Super great guy! Yes the lectures are long, but I took him twice now and have loved every second. Tests are hard, but it's nothing that he didn't teach you. Go to his office hours too and always ask questions because he loves answering them and seeing you grow.
This was the hardest class I have ever taken, & I consider myself good at chem. It required lots of work, long hours of studying, Exams r almost biweekly& getting an A on the exams are nearly impossible. He puts on things he never taught & expects u to know every little exception. He will do his best to help you, so be ready to live in office hours
REALLY NEED HELP!! Does Prof McKeachie go through every labs? is he a taugh grader on lab???? Plz help me and answer!!!
Dr. Mckeachie is an extremely bright chemist. He wants you to learn. HOWEVER his class is hard, not to mention the tests are also ridiculously hard. They are not multiple choice and they are based on stuff you learn but you never see the same questions from the notes. You can't hide behind multiple choice. Only 2 people are projected to get As.
Unless you want to suffer, do NOT take Dr. McKeachie. He seems like a good guy outside of class, but his tests are incredibly unfair and challenging. He tests you on things you are not specifically taught. I'm a pre-med student with a 4.0 gpa, but it feels like he wants you to fail. I hate him. I hate life. Do not take him.
Dr. McKeachie truly cares about you succeeding. This is a hard class though, you can't skate by without understanding everything because the tests ask for explanations of concepts. His lectures are extremely informative, but I personally found his lectures over explained/complicated. For quarantine online class, best decision you can make!
Prof. McKeachie grades labs very generously. Each thing you miss he only takes off .1 point. Everyone who tries gets between a 9.5/10 and a 10/10
I was absolutely devastated when I did not pass this class. No matter how hard I tried I never could get above a C on his tests. I went to every office hour, stayed after class, even went to every single tutoring session. I really showed him I cared and I was determined to pass this class. I needed a 65% on the final and got a 60% still didn't pass
Best Chem professor I've ever had. Cool dude. Take him. That's all you need to know.
Prof McKeachie is very accessible and understanding, so dont be afraid to reach out with questions! His lectures are clear and solidly cover information that we are tested on. Ive only had him during quarantine, but compared to some other teachers I have hes very well adapted to online teaching and has no trouble navigating zoom and canvas.
Let's be clear: Dr. McKeachie will make you work for your grade. Chem 1A is by no means an easy class, let alone in a pandemic. You will need to spend countless hours studying for the exams. But it is an extremely rewarding experience when it is all set and done. Adapted well to online school and easily accessible outside of normal class time!
Prof. McKeachie is easily the best professor I have had. This course is definitely difficult and there is no way to get around the hard material. But Mckeachie's lecture are very clear. I still use my notes from his class in my 1B course. Super understanding teacher. Go to office hours if you can. You will get the grade you work for.
He doesn't know how to lecture, he keeps going off on a tangent, expects an A from students. Bi weekly test and quizzes. No time to learn just memories and get an average grade. He makes your life a living hell with excessive amount of homework and exams.
This is an information-dense class. If you want a good grade, you have to spend hours studying the material. Everything that is on the test will be covered in the lectures though, so there's no surprise questions. McKeachie won't go easy on you, but he's there to help. So if you want an A, you have to put in the work.
Chemistry is a tough subject. Chem 1B is hard. But chem1b with McKeachie is a living hell. He makes the class so unnecessarily difficult you wont have time to even breathe. He makes assignments due at 8am everyday and you only have ten mins or so to submit them on the day of (they open at abt 750am). Literally take it with ANYONE else
McKeachie is a great guy, but his lectures can drag on. A large part of my class dropped and those who remain are projected to get a B. He makes you work for your grade, while you may aim for an A, don't be disappointed with a B or C. Chemistry is no walk in the park, don't expect anything to be easy. Remember to STUDY THE PRACTICE QUESTIONS
Chem 1A is a very difficult class to begin with. If you do not put in the extra effort outside of class to study your lecture notes, you will not pass. Overall, McKeachie is very knowledgable on the subject, and is a very generous grader on exams and labs. If you at least try, he will give you some points.
Professor McKeachie is one of my favorite teachers I've had. He is so funny and caring and wants all of his students to succeed. He gives a lot of partial credit on exams and there are extra credit questions. He also grades labs generously and will answer questions. For tests, study the lecture slides and be ready for justification ?'s. Take him!
Took this for Fall 2021. Lectures are comprehesive but he takes a bit too much time to go over easy concepts. Grades leniently on labs and exams. Does not teach 1B in the Spring but only in the Summer so you are forced to take another professor unless you want to wait.
Horrible professor. No wonder he is only part-time. He talks too fast and tries to make jokes but they are not funny. He speeds through lectures and barely stops to breathe. His exams are very hard and do not reflect his lecture slides at all. He has an attitude when you ask questions. Don't torture yourself an entire semester with this professor.
Great professor
Mckeachie is a very caring and generous professor. His lectures can seem a bit slow, but they are well laid out, and he gives you the slides to study. The homework load is light, but you will need to self-study to prepare for exams--make sure to do his extra practice problems on canvas. Overall, very fun and I would take him again.
Overall he is a very caring professor and tries to address your questions as best as he can, as a person I would give him a 5/5. My only complaint is the lack of materials in his slides. His lectures are super simple but his tests are extremely difficult. Even if you do the extra practice problems and listen carefully in class it wont prepare you.
Good professor, relatively easy examples.
Tough grader, but does give partial credit which was helpful. Tests do not reflect the lecture whatsoever. He explains the material in probably the most complicated way possible. Lectures are 3 hours and he rushes through all three hours. Take any other possible professor than McKeachie and you will pass. Half of class dropped during the sem.
Mckeachie in general was a good guy. He was always there to answer questions and was helpful. However, his lectures were long, fast-paced, and brutal. In addition, the math related test questions were MUCH harder than the lecture problems. This class is a hard class, and you will need to study a lot for it, as chem 3 does not prepare you for 1A.
This class is very difficult. Mckeachie goes into depth in all topics, and is always available for questions. Easy grader, lots of partial credit. Tests are much more difficult than lecture problems. If you do not do the Extra Problems in the module, you will do poorly. Classes are lecture heavy. Half of my class dropped. Put in work and you won't.
Keeps lectures lighthearted and interesting. As long as you pay attention during lectures and ask questions, his exams are straightforward and fair. He is very passionate about chemistry and helped me learn to enjoy it!
It isn't easy being in his class but doing all his test prep questions makes an A very doable. He has a lot of tests (5 + final) which is harder to handle especially later in the year but it also allows you to shrug off a bad test much more easily.
McKeachie is SO funny- I was laughing in every one of his lectures. He's a really nice teacher and if you show that you care, he'll care. Lot of partial credit on exams, and if you put in the work you'll get at least a B in the class. Content is pretty difficult and lectures are long (a 5-6 hour class), but Chem 1A is a weeder. Take him if you can!
The best Chemistry teacher I've ever had. I'm thankful to have taken his classes for 1A and 1B. His tests are challenging but he his very forgiving, same with the labs. He offers extra credit on all exams and he is funny and will always answer your questions. He responds to emails in reasonable time frames as well. I couldn't recommend him enough.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! His lectures are extremely hard to follow and he speaks very fast. The tests are very very difficult and he adds too many "trick questions"! I had his class two days a week, but each class day was 6 hours long (lab and lecture)! He is entitled and talks down to you because he has a PhD. Trust me...DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!
Dr.Mckeachie is a great chemistry professor. He makes chemistry easy and understandable. This course was interesting because of his teaching abilities. He is such an understanding and helpful professor!!
Dr Mckeachie is a cool guy. Respect him, do your part, learn, and HE WILL HELP YOU. I would ask him wayyyyy too many questions and he would still answer all of them without any pushback or attitude. If you want an A, or even a B, it will not be a cakewalk. DO THE WORK AND STUDY OR YOU WILL FALL BEHIND and drop like many others did.
During lectures he will speed through and talk nonstop. Exams are biweekly pretty much and you will have to dedicate your life to this course. He is a nice person and a cool guy, however I would not take his course if science is not your best subject. Would be better if he spent lectures explaining problems rather than rushing through.
Dr. Mckeachie has made it very difficult to learn the concepts in Chemistry 1A. His tough grading adds unnecessary stress to the existing large amount of studying required to pass the class. He does not allow students to take their graded and marked exams home to study our errors, hindering the process of learning. Lectures are very confusing.
Honestly a very poor professor. He is very rude towards his students and towards the end of the drop date was encouraging students to drop his class. I regret taking his class and will never take anything related to chemistry again because of him. Trust me when I say don't take him.
In high school I loved chemistry and was one of my best grades. After taking McKeachie, I can proudly say I hate chemistry. Trust me when I tell you to NOT take it with him.
If I didn't need his class, I would honestly drop it. Horrible professor who can't teach at all. He goes too fast and tries to make chem as hard as possible. Don't make the same mistake that I did and take his class because you will regret it.
This is a weeder class but Mckeachie made it so much harder than it should've been. Tests and finals are worth a total of 75% of your grade and none are dropped. He offers supplemental problems, but, they only vaguely reflect the actual test. He can and will throw every trick he can find at you. Most people dropped because he doesn't prepare you.
I had to drop this class to avoid an F and have since changed my major so I don't have to take Chem again. The notes and supplemental problems do not reflect the difficulty of the test. Half of the class dropped, a fact he apparently takes great pride in.
If you need all of chem I would highly recommend (I used to hate chem with a passion before). You understand chem over plugging things into equations without knowing why. Asked him a ton of questions and lab grading was super forgiving 5 tests (lots of partial credit, every 2 1/2 weeks) worth 10% each, final 15% Kinda yaps but he is super funny.
I'm now finishing 2ndsemester O-chem and I gotta thank Prof.McKeachie for giving me such a strong foundation. Of course, McKeachie is a funny but tough prof, but if you actually study you will get that A . DO HIS PRACTICE EXAMS,they are harder than the actual ones and If you can understand the concepts covered in them you will get the A. Good Luck!
Mr. McKeachie is an interesting teacher. He is very helpful, and is a nice person. However his lectures are horrendously hard to follow along to, and he talks way too fast and says redundant things. His tests are BRUTAL and his supplemental questions are not good enough prep. If you enjoy constant stress and frustration, take this teacher!
Take his 106 class if you want a chance at an A! Ignore the supplemental exam questions - focus on the lectures for studying! Make private quizlets/study sets for yourself and study early and often! Come mentally prepared & well-rested. Office hours are good vibes. Chill + passionate professor. The more time + effort you put in the more you get out
It felt like his course took minimal effort to do well in, and he made sure to let us know what would come back for ochem, or pchem. Nice guy, very casual, and doesn't seem to mind being talked to like a normal person as opposed to bring overly formal.
Based on my personal experience, the class was very much a repeat of Chem 3; most others did not agree Most of your grade comes from the exams; there is a lot of material, and you have to put a lot of time into studying. He grades fairly, though, and his lectures are entertaining enough. If you show that you care, he's willing to round up.
He's a great chem professor. Knows his stuff and enjoys it. Will geek out with you about chemistry if you ask & is nice & chill. Find a study method that works for you, & study early + often! (You'll need it regardless of skill). Change it if you don't get a desirable exam 1 grade. Review lecture concepts + practice problems in lectures. Be present
Ryan is by far the best professor I have ever had the pleasure of having as an instructor. He really knows how to lecture in a way that isn't boring. Also, he always has good jokes and references in lecture as well. Exams are easy, I finished both CHEM1A and CHEM1B with above a 98%. There is almost too much partial credit. Labs are free points.
If chem is your only hard class then Mckeachie is alright. But, if your trying to balance chem with other stem courses do not take this professor. Exams are extremely tricky and hard and his supplemental questions do not reflect that. He lectures way to fast and goes off-topic way too much. Take another professor.
Dr.mckeachie has a GREAT personality! His lectures are so funny and informative at the same time. Nothing crazy comes on the exam just study the material and you're all set (also extra credit on the last page). Super helpful and genuinely wants you to do good in chem! don't miss this class!
Dr. McKeachie is by far one of my favorite professors I've taken. He's funny, friendly, and easily approachable, grades fairly with lots of partial credit, and knows his stuff. His lectures are incredibly thorough, as are his tests, but offer a steady base for those continuing in chemistry based subjects. Enroll in 106 and ask lots of questions!
Any outside work was fine. Lectures terrible he would nonstop talk for hours, if you can learn that way then he's fine, if not you'll suffer. Is very helpful though. If you didn't take chem 3 take it first or take someone else. Exams are every week and a half, gives a lot of partial credit which is good. He gives test questions in the 106 class.
His exams are really hard. I enjoyed his class overall. He is really nice and if you study well you can get an A. Take the supplement class too. There are 5 exams 10% each and a final 15%.
Loved him as a professor, my favorite I've had at Saddleback. His class was not easy and you definitely have to dedicate a lot of time. If you're taking 1A you have to take 106 to do well and feel comfortable with the material. He lectured a lot but was always very fun to listen to and cracked jokes.
Lectures are unhelpful, 106 is useless and just more quizzes to worry about, harsh grader, exams extremely harsh, no tests dropped, cant get sick and miss ur lab or it will severely affect ur grade, just don't take this class if u arent ready to intensively study by urself and don't already have an extremely strong foundation in chemistry & physics
Taken last semester - McKeachie is foremost approachable and always willing to help. Lectures are long but lively. Exams are not necessarily easy but the content is predictable. Effort will be reliably rewarded, but you'll need chem 106 for best results. In the end, 106 will save you study time.
McKeachie is approachable after class. Chem 106 is demanding, with the "daily quizzes" requiring 4–7 hours of self-study per week and often not aligning with exams (not Including regular 1A assignments). Leaving no time for lecture or lab prep. Exams are lecture-based, so be ready to supplement with YouTube as slides may lack depth.
prof mckeachie is great and an easy grader, but his tests are just so unpredictable. TAKE 106. in class, his teaching style is just not for everyone. huge yapper, long lectures, but he provides lots of resources for us to get by. he is also very helpful in office hours. i swear i passed because i took 106 and went to office hours!! easy labs tho.
great guy! funny, friendly, and always willing to help. his class is *very* lecture heavy, and there's 5 exams a final. he gives partial credit a lot tho. study about a week in advance and read over the lecture slides. my biggest advice? TAKE HIS 106 CLASS. it gives you a really good idea of the exam content/format. labs and online hw are easy.
Tests are NOT multiple choice and pretty hard but he gives a lot of partial points for each question. TAKE HIS 106 CLASS (of the 20 students left at the end, 18 of us were in the 106, everyone else dropped). Went to almost every office hour he's so easy to talk to/ask questions. Lectures are long and boring but it's chem so what else you expecting.
boring lectures, had to teach myself a lot he likes to ramble. I've take multivariable calculus and electromag physics but this was the hardest class of my time at saddleback personally. no amount of studying could prepare me for a test, I had to fight for my B. I think we only had one A in our class. do supplemental problems, understand concepts.
He's very patient at explaining stuff you don't understand, even if you ask him for multiple times. He's a hilarious dude and pretty chill. But his lectures are almost not helpful at all, and it is almost impossible to understand from his lectures alone without studying ahead. Don't take this class if you can't self-teach
