he is very helpful and understanding. The exams are easy and they turn out to be good if u study the notes and go to class. If u work a bit u will surely get an A+ in his class. he also makes his lactures interesting. i recomend u to take his class.

I would recommend Jace if you HAVE to take a bio class and if you love biology. His lectures are hilarious. Grading is strait forward. He has tons of study tools online. He throws out the lowest exam, lab, and pop quiz grade at the end of the semester. The course has a non-accumulative final. Jace is a great person overall!

I definitely recommend him. He gives non-accumulative finals and throws out lowest test and quiz scores. He enjoys teaching and wants his students to succeed. He doesn't take attendance but also doesn't announce quiz dates so if you skip you could miss them. Also, save yourself $100 by not buying the book. GREAT TEACHER!

Mr. Robinson is a very friendly, dorky, and funny teacher. He's very helpful and knows maybe too much about Bio. Teaching style is engaging and good for lectures. The labs range from decent to fun. Check his awesome tattoo if you get the chance! I highly recommend Jace to everyone.

Jace has the best teaching methods at harper. The exams are based off the notes so you dont need the book. He also posts study tools like notecards to help the studying. And his jokes are hilarious! I absolutely loved Jace. He was hilarious and kept things interesting. I took his class over the summer, so it was very fast paced, but he was always willing to help. I was very bummed when I couldn't take his Anatomy class because of scheduling conflicts. Study, take notes, and pay attention and you will do fine. You have to work for your A!

Jace was a great teacher! He really knows his stuff. He makes the class interesting and fun and uses real life examples you can relate to. I would recommend him if you take school seriously, but even so his tests are still hard. Use ALL of your resources! I studied my butt off and only got a B. If ur looking for easy, Jace is not for you.

Professor Robinson is a good teacher, he's tough and you need to do your work in order to get a good grade. But that's why you are in his class, to learn! He provides you with podcasts of his lectures so you can go back and listen over and over again if need be. That alone makes taking his class worth the effort. I'd take any class he teaches

His explanations are very clear and he is trying very hard to make us understand what he is talking about. Study sessions with the student instructor are very helpful. Anatomy is hard, and a lot of individual study is required, regardless who the professor is. Whoever is unhappy that this subject is hard, should retake kindergarten!

This class involves a lot of memorization. Jace does a great job with getting through lectures. There's so much information that he has to go through it relatively quick, but is ALWAYS open for questions. He's hilarious and makes going to lecture easier. Labs involve a few dissections of organs and cadaver use. I learned a lot in this class!

I took BIO 160 with Jace last semester and he's a wonderful teacher! I was struggling in the class at first but he really wants to see his students excel. You MUST study every single day to succeed. Know the lectures to the T and work hard in lab because he won't guide you through models usually. Ask for help when you need it, he's not scary!

Jace is a really awesome teacher. He cares and is very passionate about his subject matter. His study guides are almost spot on just be prepared to study a lot because his tests are difficult. Go over the study guides a lot, highlight any key words he uses a lot and listen to his podcasts. His jokes get old but other than that you'll be good!

Anatomy IS hard, but Jace is an extraordinary teacher. Notes for whole class are posted at day one along with voice recordings from lectures. There're no pop-quizzes, expect weekly online ones with unlimited number of attempts. No xtra credit in class, but there're few extra questions on an exam. Book is mandatory, but you can use different one.

An AMAZING teacher! Anatomy is a hard subject in general, but he makes it fun and easy to learn. After exams and practicals he goes over your results and suggests new studying styles you can use and give you great feedback to succeed. Jace is awesome. He allows you to learn at your own pace during labs and makes himself available to answer any questions that may come up. It seems that a lot of students here complain about being "left alone" to do the labs but it is supposed to be this way.

Jace was a great anatomy teacher during the summer. Half the class was online and his lectures were very specific. His lab was very independence-directed, but he came to help when you asked. He was good at keeping everyone's attention and making everyone laugh. I 100% recommend this instructor.

Labs are mostly independent, but he is easily accessible if you have questions. Make sure you listen to the podcasts he puts on blackboard they are helpful. I personally believe that the lecture exam tests are much more difficult than the lab practical. Even though they are difficult, I believe they're not impossible. I personally study for 2-3 hrs/day for 5 days M-F. Its important to go over each slide and then listen to the podcast. The lab exams are easy because Jace has a Quizlet. Great professor

Yes, this class is difficult and requires hours of studying upon studying, but Jace is always willing to help you understand it when you are stuck. Lectures, though not mandatory, are extremely informational and he makes them entertaining (believe me he knows this content is hard!!)

Jace is an amazing professor. He genuinely cares and let's you know that and he will bend over backwards to help you. Not actually about the Prof, but about 161- study, study study. Be prepared for a lot of quizzes from him mostly due to the fact that in order to pass it is required that you memorize a hundred (not exaggerating) terms per week.

If you need to take Bio 160, you should absolutely take it with Jace! His expectations were clear. The lecture exams are based directly off the lectures so there were no surprises. Didn't pass the class, not so much because he was a bad teacher but there is a lot of material to learn and memorize so you really really have to work hard and study a lot to pass this class. Anatomy is gonna be difficult just from the sheer volume of things you HAVE TO MEMORIZE. Jace is a great and entertaining lecturer and gives you PLENTY resources to use and study from. There are EC options, and weekly online quizzes (easy 75 points as long as you take the time to do them). Really pay attention and study his lectures for the exams!

I studied 1.5hrs a day and took anatomy in H.S. This is a hard course no matter who's teaching it. Jace tries to help by having weekly optional meetings, and there were a few EC pts. Lectures are tough, and lab is all memorization. Most students failed the first 2 tests (45 out of 106 failed lecture exam 1 + 42 out of 95 failed lab practical 1).

For anyone complaining about Jace, good luck with the rest of your other classes. Anatomy will be a difficult class and you will have to put in the work for it. Jace is an amazing professor that wants to see you succeed. If you're having doubts, trust me and take this professor.

Quizlet is very helpful w/Lab Exams & Kahoot is helpful w/Lecture. Put in the time, use what you are given & u will do well. Graded on Exam/quizzes.

This class isn't terrible. If you know that you studied everything from the lectures, then that getting an A on exams is definitely possible. As for lab practicals, highly recommend only studying his quizlets. I did take this course fully online, so keep that in mind for labs. Overall, just put in the effort and time and you'll be great overall.

The truth is, this is an extremely difficult class because it is mostly memorization due to the nature of the topic. Jace's lectures are interesting and he communicates the material clearly. This class It is a lot of memorization for the tests and labs. He give you many useful lectures & quizzes to really explore and learn the material. The book is also really good but I would just focus on the his lectures and the SG & for labs it is all on quizlet. Don't be lazy and STUDY for this class. It is the only way you will earn a A or B.

I do not think I would enjoy a Gen-Ed as much as I did with Robinson. He's funny, makes Biology 101 engaging and fun to learn, and I was able to glide through the class with ease. He's also very knowledgeable (as a professor should be) and very helpful.

Great Professor! Highly recommended, especially if you really want to learn anatomy thoroughly; he is the one. He is very passionate about his teaching and very helpful. The lecture exams were not as bad either, as long as you prepared, which was pretty straightforward. Lab exams were the same way and much easier if you study.

Jace was a very good professor. Science is not my strong suit and I had a D+ the whole semester and came to Jace and talked to him and he offered me tutoring during his office hours. He does a thing where if you are .5 of the next grade he will round you up to next grade. (for me I was at a 69.5 and he rounded it up to a 70%).

Summer- lectures were online, practicals in person. Very time consuming and stressful (you have to learn over 300 terms every practical). You can do relatively alright on practicals if you do good on lectures and it'll get you a B. He's a cool guy just the class is hard in itself. Be prepared to get quizlet plus and study everyday for a month.

This was a fast paced summer class but Mr. Robinson made it very easy for us to understand all the material. He is extremely funny and that made it easier with all the memorization needed. He is also very approachable and will explain to you in detail if needed. Attendance is mandatory. Do all your practice quizzes and Anatomy will be a breeze.

I took his Anatomy class in an 8 week summer semester and passed the class with a B (85%) on my first attempt. I believe his lecture style was really helpful along with the quizlets. I definitely recommend him!

Go to the lectures because he says whether that part is on the exam or not. If you don't go to the lecture, you'll miss that part. He explains things very well, and he even changes the way he explains something if the first way doesn't help. Lab practicals are easy, just have to really study. Same with the lectures, I recommend using flashcards.

Jace is an excellent professor and explains until you understand! if you struggle with anatomy, he is the best prof to teach. You have to attend lectures to understand the material (trust anatomy is not an easy subject). He gives lots of resources to study from.

Jace is the right professor to take for anatomy! He is very helpful and direct in his teachings while making it fun. He is quick to explain things, and makes this difficult class feel a little less hard. His study guides are truly a replica of what you can see on the test, and overall great guy. Take him if you can!

Really good professor, straightforward class. Fair amount of extra credit. Lecture tests contain only the things in the slides he gives. lab attendance is mandatory. very nice and helpful when asking questions. would definitely recommend over the other profs.

Great professor, really easy going. The lecture exams are literally the powerpoint slides he uses during the lectures. I didn't use anything else to study for them, but those slides. Labs are quiet and you can work how you want on your own. Super helpful if you need him. Offers a good extra credit at the end of the course. 10/10
