he's awesome! you should DEFINITELY take this class, you won't regret it. funny, good-looking, he's sarcastic but not in a mean way. he gives LOTS of extra credit if you answer his questions in class. only need the book for one optional quiz, everything is from the notes and the review is very helpful. i strongly recommend taking this class! :)
Absolutely love this guy. You know what to expect and his lectures are crystal clear. To soft on the eyes however could be distracting.
I really enjoyed Bucco. Explains things well. Organized. His reviews were great and he is very very smart. He jokes around alot but is a serious academic guy. He loves his history and economics and will call you out if you don't study.
Ver fairl guy. Enjoyed his lectures. It was educational coming to class.
I have never dealt with a more rude or insensitive professor. Extremely disatisfied with his teaching, communications, and overall work based teaching skills
Dr. Bucco is fun and knows how to teach. Just come to class everyday and listen.
Professor Bucco is a really great teacher. We never used a textbook only a a book that he wrote in were most of the notes were written all you had to do is fill in the blank! Within that same book you had your exams and quizes reviews, the reviews looked exactly the same as the real deal. He can be strict because he expects everybody getting an A.
I love this class and absolute adore him.
I studied hard and couldn't get an A in this class (same goes for the rest of my class). I get As in all of my other classes.
Bucco rocks. Speaks real loud but really a paper tiger. Just study the notes like he says every night and it is impossible not to get an A. Beware, there is a a lot of notes.
I found Bucco to be very informative and full of energy. My far my favorite professor. Talks loud and walks fast. I am taking him again for eonomics.
Prof. Bucco is very, very strict. Attendance is mandatory. If you are late, he counts you absent. If you are absent 4 times, then your grade will be lowered by a whole letter. If you take this class, be prepared to read at least 30 minutes each night AND to study hard to make a B.
Very knowledgeable and keeps your interest. My favorite class.
Bucco is a good teacher but not easy. He tells you everyday to study your notes and you better. I have him for both economics and history and truely enjoy the classes and have learned a lot but I put much time into each class. Great lecturer. I loved going to class.
I find this class to be very easy. The notes match the study guide and just study the study guide and you have the answers. Simple. I have not yet received anything under a 93. Just ace today's exam. Extremely funny guy.
Attendance is MANDATORY! Don't be more than 5 minutes late or he may not let you in or call you out aloud. All you need is his workbook, quizzes are like the book. The tests can be more broad though and weren't like the quizzes. Do well on the quizzes especially tests because there are only a few grades being taken so don't bomb any tests.
Beginning of the semester full house @ the end of the semester only a lil over a dozen left! Purchase his book & HIGHLY rec. the actual history book. He will drop the lowest quiz grade & give a LIL EC & if you pass ALL quiz & test w/ A’s you don’t need to take the finale 3rd test. But you have to work REALLY HARD for it! Not an easy class
This was a very good class. The best I have had at ACC. Total control of the class room environment. Always, and I mean always, has something interesting to say. I learned what to think and how to think when it came to history and economics.
The first day of class I did not like Dr. Bucco at all. Loud and intimidating amoung other things. I was just out of high school. I did not like him telling me to study every night. But now I realized how GREAT of a professor he really is. Funny, intelligent, and extremely organize in which his notes match the exams. He changed my life!
Dr. Bucco is a good instructor but he is not easy. Many many notes and you are required to know the information. Gives great insight to history. Well travelled but again you have to study a lot. And he will remind you everyday I class.
Buccos the man! Would highly recommend him to students who, like myself, have little interest in history. Great professor, with a very entertaining personality.
I really enjoyed Bucco lectures. Interesting and to the point. By far my best class this semester. He really gives you a lot of history without a ton of work.
Dr.Bucco ROCKS!! I took him for HIST 1 made an A and made the mistake of not taking him for HIST 2(due to distance). The text book is only 30 bucks and he wrote it, how cool is that. He's honest and teaches history in a way that the material will stick with you when its time for exams. Take the drive and follow Bucco!!
Dr. Bucco made the class very interesting. I never seen history from that prospective. He made it so real and understanding that I actually really enjoyed going to class.
Bucco was an excellent teacher but you have to study and do the study guide. If you do that you will do well. I just can describe how well he explains the subject. You really learn. He is a little on the excitable side and you can tell he doesn't like people coming in late or being lazy. He looks like he is on the go 247.
He is very involved in his lectures
I really love Bucco's class. Lectures are great and focused on the exams and quizzes. You have to study your notes and know them extremely well. He keeps you on your toes but you learn a ton and enjoy it
I'm going to be honest yes his class is hard but you actually get to learn his lectures are actually interesting and he is really funny! He might put off a tough front but he is actually a really cool and nice professor. Yes your going to have to work really hard but if you actually want to learn something I would take him!
Professor Bucco's class is really easy to pass as long as you go to class and take notes. His tests and quizzes are straight from the textbook. He makes you buy his book that has fill in the blank note, which is kinda weird but super easy to study since he puts a study guide in the back for you which is the same questions as his test/quizzes!
he is really into his class lectures, but he would do as much as he can to help you out. sometimes, students claim that his teaching is hard or does not make any sense, but it does not depend on him for each one to study as its recommended for him. He makes jokes and extra credit on the exams in case you might need to bump-up your grade.
I found Dr. Bucco the most organized lecture I am experienced at ACC. The notes follow the workbook which follow the quizzes which follow the exams. In fact, I didn't even need to take the final because I received above a 90 on all exams and quizzes. I LOVE HIS LECTURES. He cancelled class once and I was actually mad. I can't say about teachers.
Jack Bucco is very dependent on the studying you do outside of class, because the only book for this class is a study guide that you fill in during class and he expects you to study at home. He will not give you the study guide notes if you were out of class so attendance is important. If you study you notes and go to class, it's an easy A.
Bucco is brutally systemic. Each class has a purpose and follows exactly with the study guide. The key to it all is you need to study the notes and study guide. His lectures are always interesting. But you can't miss class or be flakie. He puts a lot of enthusiasm and energy in his lectures. I loved that. And he is LOUD.
Prof. Bucco is outstanding and gives excellent lectures. You will not be bored. He's written his own textbook and the typical textbook for this class is not required. His textbook is far cheaper than the standard 1301 text. Class is graded exclusively by few quizzes and tests - all questions taken directly from his textbook. Highly recommend.
Certainly one of the more interesting profs. Very animated and passionate guy. Sometimes goes off script and at times it felt like a high school class. Probably the easiest 1301 because there was no research paper or book report. Tests and quizzes come from his typo laden book/handouts. embarrasses latecomers. opportunities for participation.
Took his online class, 5 test once a week. In order to secure a B you need to type a book report paper and to secure an A you need 2000 word research paper. His response turn around time is 3-4 days. And his test are difficult so you have to read the chapters. Book was provided online. Would take again but in person.
Jack Bucco's online class was , for me, easy doing the tests. The complaint is that when you send him an essay online, he replies within 1-12 hours. However, his typing is terrible. He does not use proper punctuation and capitals. Instead of being respectful, he says stuff like "ok. sincerely" without putting his name and capitalizing anything.
I found Bucco to be an excellent teacher. Incredibly knowledgeable. His spanned of knowledge is off the charts. I went to speak to him several times to help explain a subject and his incite was scary good. Ask him about the battle of antietam, he will provide more then you need to know. Ask him a inflation rate problem. He explains it perfectly.
Like said before very organized. His notes/study guide are great but you better come to class. His tests and quizzes are more then fair. You either know the material or you don't so you better study. You better come on time but his lectures are like no other. I love them. Makes the information very interesting.
Took this online in the summer, he is very difficult to reach. Test are very tricky, you HAVE TO read the book or else youll miss something and get the question wrong. Theres a paper due if you want to get an A or a book report for a B but you have to be working on it throughout the course to finish on time.
This guy is a walking ball of knowledge. Great lectures. Explains complicated subject matter to my level. His ability to make analogies is incredible. He just has "It".
My first impression of this class was that it was disorganized. Every 4 chapters in the book you take a test, you are provided a schedule and a study guide that helps, but the SG is sometimes unreliable and the test questions are randomly an exact phrase from the book. The tests have a lockdown browser. An A is a 2k word paper and 80%. not fun.
I really like the class. Very organized and you learn a ton. If you are looking to hit and run and get an easy A this is probably not the class for you. But if you like learning and someone who is fair you will love this class. I learned a ton in this class and Dr. Bucco was helpful
I took the online because you have to. I found the textbook and study guide to be very good. Tells you your expectations upfront. Gives you a detailed schedule. Follow it. Emails you back very fast. You have to read but it is a history class. What can you expect. Grading system is very fair.
He doesnt care about you at all. During the winter storm, he extended the test only by 2 days bc it was mandatory & it was obv to get grading out of the way to enjoy his break. His emails are snarky & rude. His study guides dont match the test AT ALL. He doesnt want you communicating with classmates & intentionally blocks it. Doubt youll pass.
The class is pretty straight forward. Lots of interesting reading. Gives a spot on study guide. Only need 80 avg to get an A. Answers emails fast. You do have to read a lot but I did mine. It was an online class.
I am enjoying the class. He gives you time schedule what needs to be done everyday. Big help. The study guide is practically the test. Very reasonable. He delay the test four times because of the freeze.
Good professor. I had him in class and online. In class he is best. Hands down. Inspiring and provocative lectures. Online, he tells you what you need to do and what you need to know. What could you expect for an online class. Either or, you are going to have to study and you can't cheat. Very energetic guy.
Don't take online (esp. if you have ADHD or don't like reading textbooks). The study guides help you to understand the general concepts of the unit, but then he tests you over insignificant details, some of which I couldn't even find in the book. Can't go back to previous test questions. Seemed sorta rude in emails. Maybe he's better in person?
This class was terrible. The study guide questions were not always found in the textbook and the exams would cover areas that were not on the study guide. Even with me reading the entire chapters, completing all the study guides and researching answers I still had a hard time passing. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
For an online class. Tells you what you need to do and just do it. Learned a ton.
The exams were hard and almost felt like setup for failure. For one, some of the study guide answers could not be found in textbook plus the exams covered a majority of different material than the study guides! Even if you looked up the answer examples on quizzlet, it was not anything close to exam answer options. DO NOT TAKE!
I found the class interesting and well organized. Fair and answers emails fast. Sorry but if you are looking for quiz let for answers you have integrity problems.
If you are fine with teaching yourself, this is the class. All study guides uploaded but the answers are not all in the textbook! I read all chapters front and back and took thorough notes but still had a hard time. Even if you have "INTEGRITY"!
I really like this online class. The text is excellent. The way Bucco was the class set up is simple to follow. Averaging about is about 93. Only 85 avg for an A. Does use lockdown browser and camera. I actually like. Talked to him by phone. Very reasonable. The questions are taken right from the study guide and text.
I'm taking his asynchronous class and am not a fan. The questions on the exams are extremely detailed and some of the material isn't covered in the study guide or the textbook. He provides no lecture videos going over the main points. Additionally, his emails are quite critical with no sympathy when asking him for advice on how to improve studying.
I personally don't know why some people don't like Bucco's class. He tells you exactly what you need to do and know. What can you expect? He gives you three points here, four extra points there, and like it was said you only need an 85 avg for an A. You have to do the reading. Believe me you don't want to take this class at UT.
I like the straight forwardness of the class. I thought the study guide tremendous. Give you the answers. He is honest and most of all, you learn. I loved it. He doesn't give you comfort. What do you want him to do, put you in bed and sing a song? He has college standards which I like.
Good online class. You have to read but the tests are taken right from the study guide which is taken from the textbook. Can't be any more straight forward. Grading system is simple. I found the class not to difficult but yet learned tons of interesting history.
Very nice man. If you show that you try and he sees all you homework he is very fair. It was a hard semester for me but he helped me in the end. He is ridiculously intelligent. Ask him something and he can give you an answer in a juffy.
The class is very easy to follow. He gives you a time guide which is a big help. The study guide is almost the answers to the test. Gives points. I found him to be very nice and straight forward. He doesn't waste your time. Tells you what you need to do. It was a thousand times more organized than my last history class.
Bucco did a great job putting the courses together in a structured and guided way and making yourself available to students -- I actually originally switched into his US History I last fall because my original course had absolutely zero instruction. These are difficult times and I appreciate Bucco's efforts to still provide a fulfilling learning
Grade was made up of 5 tests & book report, all multiple choice. Book report is only worth 5%. The professor provides study guides that I used as guided readings. Not a lot of communication from the prof, but as long as you actually READ THE TEXTBOOK (and don't wait til the night before the test like I did) this should be an easy A (85+ is an A).
I took him bc of high ratings. Gives detailed study guide in syllabus, but doesn't always match what is on the test. Tests are very hard, timed, and on lockdown browsers w/ webcam. You also cannot go back or skip a question. 5 tests and 1 book review are your grades. If you like/have time to read your textbook it's fine. Not a blow off class.
Do NOT take this class with Bucco. Some of your test questions will not be covered on your study guide or found in your textbook! A majority of the study guide questions are not specific but rather asked in the form of wanting your analytical opinion. I even used google to try and research some of the answers but I still struggled. TERRIBLE CLASS.
I don't know what some of these people are thinking. Dr. Bucco is fair and honest. Provides in depth study guide to correlate with the reading. My grades were never below 90. Answer my questions if I asked. The reading was great. If you are at school to learn he is the guy for you. If you are looking to hit/run or want a joke class not for you.
I don't like online classes at all. They stink. But Bucco was bad. Helped me along the way. I learned a good amount of information. Only needed an 85 avg for an A. Gave us some points. He is just a good teacher!
If you're looking to learn in this class, pick a different one. Its self-taught (like most online courses), however, Bucco's tests do not go with the textbook. The study guide helps some but very little. I read all the chapters, took notes and studied but still had a hard time with his tests. The tests are confusing and random! Do not take!!
Do not take this class if you avoid it. Test come from the book but his test are from previous versions. His reviews have questions about subject matter that isn't in the newest version. This will set you up for failure. His responses are rude. Do yourself a favor and find someone else.
I've taken Dr. Bucco's class for HIST 1301 & 1302 online/asynchronous. The syllabus is clear & describes the course perfectly. You are given free study guides for each test, and there are usually 5 tests and one paper. He answers very quickly, even on weekends. As long as you stay focused (it's self paced) and study for the tests, you'll get an A.
Very organized class.
Had him for both econ and hist. The study guide is the key. If you know that you will know the exam. Beware: He doesn't give the same exam to everyone. You get didn't exams but still comes from the study guide. He is knows better. Good person. You either know the material or you don't. Afterr the first exam I knew the material.
Good online class. Very clear on the expectations of what you need to do. The reading is very interesting but there is a lot of it. Just keep the study guide near you as you read. I found the tests very fair.
What you see is what you get. He tells you what to read, gives a extremely helpful study guide and you follow the study guide. Actually pretty good. But you have to keep up with the reading. It is a history class you have to read. Test are very fair if you do the reading.
Professor Bucco is a real one. Take him. Enough said. The class is fair. Do the readings and study guide -> good grades
Asked if test dates are set in stone. He sends an announcement saying we can take at our own pace. Then gives me a "0" bc test wasn't taken on due date. I then advised him we don't have the option to go back and check our test answers and his reply was that the tests are a joke and we should know the answers. I'd give a 0 if I could.
You do the work and follow the syllabus and timeline you are fine. If you have a question about the material he will answered it for you. He went beyond my expectations for an online class.
I took Professor Bucco for a five week summer course and it was very manageable. There was five tests. All you have to do is read the chapters then fill out the study guide. The study guides are extremely helpful on the tests. No extra credit or extra assignments only tests.
Dr. Bucco is very thorough and fair. Beware, you have to do the reading, fill out the study guide , and know it. Muplichoice test and pretty easy. YOu have to do a 5 page book review and a silly map test. All in all, good class but you need to put the time into it.
Overall the reviews pretty much sum of his class. Map test is easy (Study the US Map and the locations he gives you) He doesnt lie and say thats the only easy test, bought the study guide and its trash, cant write on it, limit amount of print/copy, he made a mistake and didnt fix his mistake with my test BE READY TO READ EVERY WORD IN THE BOOK.
Excellent online class. Very organized. What you see in the study guide is on the exam. Only need an 80 avg to get an A. Great to talk to on the phone. Will help if needed and you show you did the work. Just a nice guy.
I have no idea where all these high ratings are coming from because this is the worst, least caring Professor Ive ever had. AVOID his class. You will absolutely regret it.
The key to his class is to do the reading and the study guide. I follow his timeline and he was helpful over the phone. Good guy but you have to do the work. .
I am enjoying the class. I am learning so much. The tutors are waste. So if you need help call him. He is more then ready to help. Very nice over the phone.
Taking the class now. Very easy to follow. The study guide is a great help. Talked to him by phone and really helped. Knows what he is doing. Outrageously intelligent
The online class setup is pretty easy to follow. I found the exams more then fair if you do the reading. You need to do the reading and answer the study guide questions. Plus you only need an 80 avg to get an A.
Very straight forward online class. Didn't do well on the in the beginning because I underestimate the class. Did and knew the study guide like he says and then ace the remaining part of the class. He is very helpful when you call and ask a question on the material. The tutors are not that good. You have to do the reading but the tests are fair
I like the class. Easy to follow. The study guide saves time.
Good professor. Must read and do study guide to pass the tests. Class consists of 5 tests and a book review.
I find the class easy to follow. He gives 5 tests and a book review. Only need an 80 avg for an A. Very straight forward class. Don't know why some reviews are so bad. Teh study guide gives you the answers. I would highly recommend him.
Like the structure of the class and learned a lot. Got off to a slow start. Online is not for me. But got better as the class went on. Bucko and the study guide were a big help. Ended up with a B. I am a junior history wiz now.
The class is very systematic. You read the book and fill in the study guide as you read the book. Then you really must know the study guide because those are the question is that you going to see on a exam. So easy to follow but lots of information have to stay updated on the reading. Taking the second half next semester.
Dr. Bucco is very helpful and i know he wishes more students would ask more questions. Anytime i had questiins he was super helpful and quick to answer my questions.
Bucko's class is set up pretty for online. there is good amount of reading but the study guide really is a great aid. also went to his office and he helped me quite a bit. Nice man with heavy new york accent.
I would not recommend this class if you are taking other heavy classes. This class requires you to study. Yes, you have a study guide. However, you still have to read the book. You have to buy a study guide and a book. The total for me was about $80. If you like a professor that lets you be independent, this one is for you. Tests are proctored.
Totally enjoy Bucco's lecture style. Organized and interesting to the point I can't wait for class. It really motivates me to learn and enjoy school. This idea you have to study and exams are proctored. What? That is just codes words for I am lazy and want to cheat. What are you in college for then? Bucco makes you want to learn. Take him and you w
Very helpful. Excellent lectures. I am learning so much in this class. Funny and exams are match lecture notes and study guide. But the best thing about the class is his stories. A great learning experience but you have to know your notes. The good thing is the notes are very easy to follow.
I found dr. Bucco's class easy to follow. The study guide was excellent and was practically the test. He gives you a calendar to follow and tells you exactly what to read. It is a great online class if you are willing to do the reading. If you don't cheat you don't have to worry about the proctor. The textbook was fabulous.
With Bucko what you see is what you get. Follow the class schedule and do the study guide Religiously. The answers are all in the reading. The key is not to fall behind. DE Proctoring is a mess but Bucko tries to help.He allowed students to take the exam in person who had problems. It's an asynchronous class. I heard his lecture classes are awesome
The tests are about 30 questions but cover a ton of material, many of which are trick questions. Some terms/questions are quite difficult to find in the textbook and are unclear. The tests are proctored which were difficult to schedule in the start of the semester bc of staffing issues and he didn't really do much about it. Take a different prof.
I found Dr. Bucco extremely helpful. The tests are 36 questions straight from the study guide. Very simple to follow. The proctoring service is horrible but he extended the dates and for one exam allowed me to come in and take it. Answered any question I had in the study guide. I really like him. He really goes out of his way.
I have dealt with a lot of bad professors before, Mr. Bucco is not one of them. He is probably the most fair teacher I have had in a long time. The class is simple, get the study guide (he uses it as his text book), study it, and you will pass. No tricks, no paper, no bs. Just need to come to class, pay attention and and study.
Enjoyed professor Bucco. Four exams and one book review. Each chapter has a study guide which you must fill out because the questions come directly from them (quizlet helps). Proctored exams no open notes. Pretty straightforward. As long as you do your study guides and the book review you are good to go. Generous grading rubric
Bucko had to be the best professor I have had in school. Very interesting lectures and the tests come from the lectures. You fill in this manual with a review so the class is organized for you. GREAT STORIES. OMG love the accent also.
The class was very easy to follow. He gives you a calendar and the exams come from the study. But he's more than willing to help I went to his office several times and he helped me quite considerably. He delayed the exam many times because of DE proctor
for the online course, there is nothing to turn in besides the 5 exams and book review. Gives you access to the study guide and textbook and the times to take the exam. This class is great if you have amazing study habits and do not wait till the last minute to study. I passed with a 67 and got a C, grading is very clear and can be easily passed.
I always enjoyed Dr. Bucco's lectures. He was entertaining and funny, even if he wasn't trying to be. Classes almost always ended early because he doesn't mess around, you go to class, take notes, and leave. 100% of my grade was from quizzes and exams, just study your notes and you'll be fine.
I would like to recognize Dr. Bucco for navigating the difficulties students had with the testing procedure. Dr. Bucco extended test deadlines for students, and even offered an in person option for those who were having schedule difficulties. I admired the effort the professor put it in to help the students.
One of the best teachers I have ever personally had. Very informative, engaging, and quite a fun professor. Forgiving, and loud enough to hear properly.
Extremely well rounded professor. By far my favorite class I have ever taken. Very captivating.
Very straightforward class your grade is based only on five proctored tests and a book review. The class is just you literally reading every word in the textbook. He sells a study guide with all the test questions which helps guide all the readings. Spend time reading each chapter and reviewing the study guide and you will be fine.
Very engaged in his lectures. His notes are to the point. I enjoy going to class. He is just a good teacher.
He is a very interesting prof. Not a boring moment. The class was so informative and I learned so much and enjoyed every second of it. Taking for economics next semester. His teaching style fits my learning style perfectly.
Professor Bucco makes this course an easy A, as long as you put in the work, and pay attention to deadlines. Do Not Turn Anything In Late! Make Sure To Read The Syllabus! Other than that, just make sure to read all the required reading and work through the Study Guide. I did this course 100% online.
I would definitely retake his class. Test's are very easy if you just study on your own time. Easy class
I took this professor because of the good comments but I was very wrong. Please take a different professor!! He is so unprofessional.. also uses proctor for his tests.
Overall was not hard but your grade is essentially determined by only 4 tests. You have to buy both the textbook and the study guide. The study guide has many grammatical errors and is not always clear. However, if you really put in the time to study you can get an A. Be prepared for a ton of reading!
I had Dr. bucco for lecture class. I was more than satisfied. Explains history so I became very interested in it and understood it. I have to say I enjoy the class which I was not expecting.
HIST 1301 requires a lot of reading and you need good notes to be successful on the exams, but as long as you put the work in and study you can do very well. Bucco is organized, caring, and very accessible even when doing Distance Learning. I recommend him if you want a good teacher and straightforward exams.
Explains history and events in great detail but you can understand him. Very easy to follow and really makes history interesting. You know what to expect on exams but he does give a lot of information.
Interesting and challenging course. Dr. Bucco makes the lectures more palatable with great stories and tidbits of information that add color to scenes of history. If you take notes and follow his study guide, you've got the keys to success. Just make sure to give about 30-45 minutes per day to read over your notes.
Dr. Bucco is funny and engaging. Loved taking his class, would love to take him again. Get the text book, even though its not required and study your notes about an hour each night, you should do fine.
I am not a fan of history at all but after taking this class it is something that deeply interests me. I would honestly look forward to going to class every day and now that the semester is over I am sad. He seems so passionate about every single topic, and seems like a genius. The way Dr Bucco teaches is insanely engaging.
He lacks communication to people individually. Visibly doesn't care. "You're on your own" type of guy. I've emailed him about missing a class and the information I missed and he didn't tell me about the quiz coming up (announced that day) and now I have to cram. He doesn't post ANYTHING on blackboard. I mean NOTHING. Not even the syllabus.
My favorite professors I had the pleasure to learn from in ACC. Bucco does a good job teaching and he is very knowledgeable about the subject. I appreciate his passion for teaching, especially since so many professors are not so helpful.
Dr. Bucco's lectures are engaging and informative. The class requires dedication, but with the help of the study guide and resources like Unstuck study, you can excel. Attend class, read the textbook, and you'll gain a real appreciation for history.
One of the best if not the best history teachers I've ever had and he laid everything out for you in a way where anyone could pass as long as they put in effort
Bucco knows how teach. Definitely know what he is doing. Everything is laid out and he gives excellent descriptions of the events. I can't believe I actually like history now. His knowledge seems endless.
One of the Best Teachers I've had in ACC. He makes every day of class fun and entertaining. I don't like History at all, but he made it enjoyable, not as boring as most History classes are. I actually felt pretty excited to go to his class. He connects with his students, and I appreciate that. I couldn't praise him enough.
he's a wonderful professor! he's funny and his lectures are easy to follow. just make sure to do the study guides and the tests will be easy!! :3
If you get the chance take Professor Bucco! I am personally not a huge history buff but professor Buccos lectures are engaging! He is funny throughout lectures which personally really helped me remember key facts. There is no homework just test grades, but if you complete the study guide and study your notes throughly you'll do fine on the tests!
Dr. Bucco is an amazing instructor and incredibly knowledgeable about history. His lectures are interesting as he engages the whole class and really makes history come alive. The problem is he gets carried away and skips parts. Great if you wanna make an easy A, not so great if you want to learn. He does care, and that is obvious. Highly recommend!
He does not accept any computers get ready to go old style, writing. He is very engaging, I would take his History 2 class if I needed it. He is very strict and has his ways of teaching, a little blunt, but if you just be quiet and not talk during lecture you will be fine. He gives most of the lecture notes, but don't rely on him to give the notes
Bucco is old school and very smart. But he is not easy. He gives a lot of information and you responsible for it. He also gives out different tests so no looking around. It is a lot of learning and my history knowledge has increased big time.
Took the class over the summer and it was great. I was very welcomed and never felt stressed about the workload. No electronics, only writing. His lectures are engaging, entertaining, and he even gives cool fun facts aswell. Overall, just show up to class, take good notes, and study the review every night. Tests and quizes aren't too crazy either.
He's really funny and has a thick Jersey accent. (Also: Sometimes he makes funny noises or goes "WHAAAWWWT?"- It's funny). His teaching and grading style is very straightforward, but he will potentially call on you in class. This class was honestly so easy all you have to do is show up and read your notes at night.
Over the summer, I took History 1301 from Professor Bucco. He's very straightforward about his expectations- read your notes almost every night and show up. He gives you a heads up about every quiz and test, however he will randomly call on you during lectures- so read your notes. He also has a thick Jersey accent and makes funny jokes and sounds.
Great professor, would recommend him to incoming students so they can ease into a college routine. He has easy-to-understand lectures and truly cares about his students. He keeps people engaged and learning and engaged. As an engineering student from A&M who took him over the summer, he is one of the best professors I've ever had.
Bucco only reads over notes but his reading is very engaging, but you will have to study outside of the class because its not all very memorable. Theres no actual assignments or grades other than tests and quizzes. As long as you have good memory and good studying skills you'll do good.
