I have had Dr. Bucco for three weeks right now and I could tell already he is a great teacher. Entertaining lectures with organized notes. Everything is put on the board. Just study your notes and you can't fail. Also, very very attractive man with a little bit of an edge. Even that is attractive.

Awesome instructor, only concern: Exams! Too hard (purposely tricky) because he gives you tons of info to study for the exam but only makes the exams consisting of 10 questions. So if you miss three, your're screwed and you make a 70. It's too easy to make a bad grade in the class. His study guides consists of literally everything from the chapter!

His Tests are extremely hard. This class requires a lot of time to study...Homeworks are cake. Test, Difficult. Fill in the blanks, all of it.

he's extremely helpful loves economics and uses great examples. you don't need the textbook because you have a workbook that you fill out the notes. he requires you to look over them and gives opportunitys for extra credit!

Awesome teacher- uses great analogies...knows his stuff and super easy- Make flash cards for macro-economic class b/c you end up using them for several tests- helped me get straight 100s through the summer semester...do review questions early so that you can get EC when he randomly asks for it (if 1/2 class did it)... I took this class online and it was challenging, but I just took all the tests and turned in an 8pg. research paper on a history topic of my choosing and I got an A. If you are self-disciplined enough to do an online class, take this one, he is a fair teacher.

I took History 1301. He was extremely clear and thorough,and one of the best teachers I have ever had! He has a true passion for his teachings. I recommend him to all of my friends. I dnt usually hand out 5s, but bucco is a 10. Gives you EVERYTHING you need (too much rly) to get beyond an A. If you got anything less than a B, you rlly deserved it. His lectures are very entertaining b/c he knows so much abt his subject. The NY accent only adds to that. Quizzes & tests are almost EXACTLY like the study guide. Just study & Easy A

He is very abrupt and can be a little intimidating. However, his class is really easy. You don't need the actual textbook, just his fill in the blanks study guide book. It's put in very simple terms but for the tests he usually words them a little harder so you really need to understand the material. He can be funny. doesnt use blackboard. 8/10

Took this class DIL and did very well. As long as you answer all the review questions on the study guide, you'll do fine. Just study the answers to those questions, nothing else, however make sure your answers are very detailed. All tests are multiple choice with 30 questions. He's SO helpful and definitely has a passion for history. Take!

I'm not sure if I did something wrong, because I had major problems with the tests. No matter how much I studied, I could not pass them. They want you to know every presidential candidate for every 4 years since the establishment of America. That's crazy. The study guide when I filled it out, was over 4k words, for one test.

Bucco is an amazing teacher. A bit of a hard ass but its worth it! He tends to call out on alot of people for answers so I'd advise you to study! Study the study guide and the short answers and you should be able to pass with an easy A, he does quizzes to make sure you are studying so be prepared! I would definitely take him for Hist 2!

Tests are surprisingly tough. Focus entirely on the study guide, but you need to know details. There is a paper required for an 'A.' Do yourself a favor and do not wait until the last minute like I did. Very nice guy when I met him in person.

I took Dr. Bucco for History 1301 & 1302, as well as Micro & Macro economics. doesn't require the text book, but his work book is a must. His teaching still is awesome and you will actually retain the information. I can not recommend this professor enough HONESTLY ! attendance wasn't mandatory but you will fall behind if you miss.

I loved Mr. Bucco's class. He's from the North, so be prepared for the loud booming Yankee voice. He's very funny and gives his own study guide for you to write the overhead notes in. Your grade is based on tests and quizzes, but if you study 40mins a night, you will definitely pass. I HIGHLY a recommend him. I laughed everyday in class.

Makes study guide but you must read in order to fill it out. 4 chapters a week was too much for me. will not take another 5 week course like this. test are from study guide. if you do not get an 80% on each test expect to get a c unless you do a research paper or book report. Dr. Bucco is a great professor! I am taking his History II class next semester. His lectures are fun. No dull moments that's for sure. Tests are tough. He doesn't really use the textbook. We mostly did note taking in a workbook listed. He provides all the notes in class so don't be absent!

If you go to class, take the notes, and study the notes (going back over them and filling out the study guide) this class is a breeze. Clarification is always given. Can be a bit rough around the edges, but very funny and not afraid to say what he thinks. Would take again.

You don't need the actual textbook but he does require the study guide booklet. This is where you fill in the blanks during lecture. Don't miss class bc he doesn't give out notes to anyone. He drops the lowest quiz grade. 5 quizzes, 3 tests, no homework, an occasional essay on the test. If you average an A before the final, you'll be exempt!

Enjoyed taking his microeconomics class fall 2015. His lectures are very entertaining and he really seems to care about his students. At times it seems like he does not like to be asked questions about his lectures. But overall if you do what he recommends for his class you will get a good passing grade.

Prof Bucco was amazing! He's very forthcoming on how to pass his class. The manual/study guide will be all you need to pass the class. It's tempting to only study the review in the back of the manual, but you will do MUCH better if you read the manual as if it were a story. He wrote the manual for this class, so why not use it and earn an A?

Dr. Bucco is a seriously knowledgeable guy. I've taken two of his history classes and this macroeconomics class, and it is clear he knows the material. He provides a study manual, so the book is not a necessary purchase. I did use mine a few times, but I could have found the information online. If you study, as he suggests, you will pass.

One of the best professors I've ever had and met. Had him for both US Hist. 1 and 2. The textbook has everything you need as long as you show up, or at least get notes from someone else (I recommend showing up). He's passionate and good at what he does, very interesting lectures! I'd take him again if I could.

Bucco is intimidating at 1st, but once you get used to him he's pretty funny and interesting. Tests are based off of a study booklet, so it's simple to study but you GOTTA study. I found the quizzes to be harder than the tests themselves, since the tests are multiple choice. Good class to take if you don't like participating and prefer lectures.

Great professor for an online class. Tests are in a format where either you know the material or you don't. Only bad thing was he didn't post grades on blackboard (but you know all your grades from the testing center anyways). Also freaked me out a little because he took a long time to put my final grade in. Overall I would recommend taking this.

I can't tell you enough how I love this class. Straight forward and more then fair. I didn't have to take the final because I received more then 90;s on all previous exams. Just study the study guide and do what he tells you to do. And when I got to really meet him in his office is was great.

He takes attendance very serious. If you're late hell make you wait outside until he decides to open the door. Other than that he's not a tough professor, he makes the material interesting. I wish i took it serious and got a better grade.

Funny, very knowledgeable guy with a heavy NYC accent. He loves to show off his history smarts, but will give extra credit if you try to answer his questions about it. Textbook is fill-in-the-blank with lectures. Exams are doable, but ALL short answer, ZERO partial credit! It's passable, he is helpful, but won't show mercy any with his grading.

Hands down best/funniest/organized professor I have ever had. Text book is economical and contains condensed content from the regular text book, it also provides a lengthy study guide that is very relevant to quizzes and exams. Gives out extra credit for knowing random facts and also for completing the essay questions in the book.

I loved this professor, a LOT of reading but there are practice tests for every test you take. He helps you do well in the class and cares for your success. There were 5 tests and a term paper that made up your grade, if you do the reading and practice test you will get an A.

5 exams and 1 term paper for an A. If you follow the professors guideline to doing well on his exams, you can expect to do well. Exams are easy. If you make an 80+ on each exam, you are guaranteed a B with the option to write a term paper for an A. I had a 95 overall test average, and chose not to write the term paper, since I was happy with a B.

I took the online class, which is basically self-taught with the textbook if you prefer that way. There are five exams, and he is pretty strict with the deadlines, but can be understanding of extenuating circumstances. All in all not a bad class to take to knock out your history requirements, but you have to be comfortable with teaching yourself.

Took Bucco both online and inclass. Best inclass professor I have ever had. Hands Down! Online he is very fair. His study guide is excellent but the tests are no joke. Obviously better inclass. Online classes are never the best but the key to Bucco's class is the study guide. The questions on the tests come from there. I just answered them and then study them and got an easy A. I took Professor Bucco for both history 1301 and 1302 online, and our tests were over chapters in the textbook. He provides questions from a study guide which helps highlights the information needed on the test. Read the material in textbook and you should be fine.

I took the 5 week online summer class and it was super easy and fair. Your grade consists of 5 tests: 1 map test and 4 textbook exams. The map test is a breeze and the textbook exams are very reasonable. The exams are just like the study guides so make sure to properly fill it out when reading the textbook! All you need is an 80 for an A!!

Very straight forward and fair. I did the assigned reading, following the study guide, and aced the class. If I had one or two questions on the reading he answered them fast. You have to put some time into the class. He is not a walkover.

I am learning a great deal in Dr. Bucco class. I find him very helpful and answers email very fast. Anytime I asked him a question he answered it. The key is you have to the work which is the reading and study guide. You do that and the tests are very easy. I have not received below a 93 yet and you only need an 80 avg for an A.

I am taking the asynchronous history and the course is well organized. He gives you a useful calendar and study guide, big help but you have to stay on cue. Professor Bucco structured his history course in a straightforward manner. The course is easy to follow, and at your own pace with set dates for tests and book review. I really liked his course and I feel I learned more regarding the subject. In addition, he answers promptly to emails and he is always available to help you out if you need it.

Gets to the point fast. Easy to follow. His tests are just like his notes which I like. Has a real gift in explaining terms which I understand.

Taking macro with him in class. I have to say it is one of the best classes I have taken. Bucco makes it very interesting and you can understand him completely. Gives many real life examples. It really has been a very good class. I am an older student and was a little nervous about economics but that was easily overcome.
