As most of you know, statistics is not an easy subject to grasp; that is why I put a 3 on easiness. Prof.Gill made the fundamentals of statistics as seamless as possible. Not only is he a great professor, but also a great person at heart.

He has a way of making hard things easy. It's not a easy subjuct to understand. He is very organized and that our learning easier. He is also very patient and takes to explain if someone has a question.

For a course like Stats. Jack gill does a great job. You still have to put time into the course and study, but he goes out of his way to help you. Funny and goes over the material, but do not take his efforts for granted you still have to pass the tests.

You would be blessed if you got into Professor Gil's statistics class. He's amazing at what he does, which makes sense on why his class fills up within the first day of priority registration. I took Jack Gill for math 50 spring 2017. I took a night class from 7-10 pm but he would let us out early . I would be late everyday because of work but he wouldn't mine as long you didn't disturb the class as you walk in. He gives you a lot of extra credit and no online hw everything was handwritten. Textbook is required but it's a easy class.

Mr Gill is a excellent Math teacher he makes the class easy and fun to learn. If you struggle don't hesitate to ask questions because he want all his students to pass the class. I learned if you attend all practice classes do all the homework it helps to pass the course easily. Looking forward to taking his Math 53 this fall.

All around AMAZING, 2 semesters with him already math 30, 50 I absolutely love the way he explains things BEWARE, HE IS NOT EASY! But math is not easy so he tries his best to explain the work, answers any questions and Cares so much for his students. Best math teacher I've had since EVER. Yes there is homework and yes attendance is Crucial.

Mr. Gill gives very detailed lectures at a slow pace, which is great for students who need more explanation. He lightens up the mood of a boring subject with not so funny, but very much appreciated jokes. Homework is an easy A given that you attempt every problem although it may not be right. Class is almost always let out up to an hour early!

This man gave me a B in the class, he also gave me self-worth. I am horrible at math, but good at everything else, he made me feel like I wasn't an idiot afterall. This is a true TEACHER! He will not make you feel like a moron for asking questions. BEST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE, AND IM 26!!!

Prof. Gill is awesome! He breaks down Math 53 step by step. I love his great sense of humor, patience, & encouragement! You must take him. Prof. Gill is respectful. He provides great Exam reviews! He is 10 red hot chili peppers & an excellent teacher! Please teach Math 73 this fall! He is the Math guru of Rio Hondo College! So glad I took him!

Jack Gill is definitely one of the best math teachers ive ever had, he is very good teacher and his teaching methods is phenomenal. I would recommend this teacher for any of his subjects. The key to passing the class is doing the Hw. It's not much but it's more than enough practice for his exams.

Professor Gill is one of the best math professors I've taken at Rio Hondo. His lectures are easy to follow and he will do as many examples as needed to make sure the class is following along. When you take this class you'll end up loving math. He is very inspirational and motivating. I would take him again.

I took Mr. Gill for Math 053. Mr. Gill is very understanding and caring. There is homework involved and attendance is important. His lectures are great for review. You must study to pass! Mr. Gill gives Mock Exams as study guides before the exams. He has been the BEST math teacher I had.

Took in summer. One of my fav professors at Rio! His lectures are easy to follow & straight forward. Gives u mock exams b4 each test. Don't miss class, u will miss out on a lot of info. Helps u whenever needed. U literally have to try not to pass this class. Super easy class. Just review the notes before each test & it will be easy. 100% Recommend.

Prof. Gill is great Math teacher. He makes Math to be in an easy way. I said easy because with study well and put some time on practice, I got all exams over 90 points. If students didnot study, they still got an F :(. Prof. Gill gives students the easiest exam! All you need is practice it and pop for an A. Need only book to do hw, not need code

Best math prof. ever. I have always sucked at math until I took him. He wants you to learn and pass. Statistics is very hard and he made it easy. There was four exams and he does a mock exam which is the exact same. I love how he teaches. He is an amazing person and is not like other professors. TAKE HIM if you get a chance to do so. THE BEST.

Professor Gill is funny and gives amazing lectures! Made a VERY difficult subject easy to understand. A real gem! Any school would be lucky to have Mr. Gill on their faculty staff (not exaggerating, hire him!). WE NEED MORE PROFESSORS like Mr. Gill at EVERY campus! As much as it seems completely unrealistic to solve , prof. Helps understand Im terms I can say he dumbs the problems to where they are understanding and easy to solve I plan to take his class next semester

Best professor Ive ever had! I attended his class for math 35, 53, and stats 130. Word problems are definitely not my forte but he makes it easy to understand. He cares for your grade and even offers extra credit and is accessible after hours if needed. Attendance is key, mostly on mock exam days. He is truly an amazing professor and very funny.

Professor Gill is one of the greatest Math professors I've ever taken at Rio! He is very thorough with his lectures, which help you understand the subject well. He provides good humor in the class which makes it more engaging. Gives the opportunity for extra credit and great lecture reviews before exams. Definetely recommended him!!

The best math professor at Rio Hondo! He prepares you very well for the tests. Homework is due on the day of the tests. Makes class fun with his jokes and sometimes lets us 25 min early. Recommend him!

Professor Gill is ideal for todays students. He provides a clear syllabus, grading criteria, and understands that today.. formulas need not be memorized but executed correctly so he provides multiple worksheets to help you keep up with the formulas/calculations. An easy A if you keep up and attend review days.

Mr. Gill is a fabulous professor! He takes Math 73 and converts it to understandable terms. Funny, engaging, and respectful towards students. Definitely attend all exam reviews, do the HW, & have solid attendance. The book is required for HW. He really cares about his students! Rio needs to hire him full-time! Best math professor! Mr. Gill is an exceptional Professor. He's full of enthusiasm and has a great sense of humor. He brings fun to the class and is the sweetest teacher. I took Math 73 for the Summer semester and it was great. He assigns homework and has weekly quizzes. Mr. Gil grades fairly too. A++++ all the way. Take his class!!!! You'll be doing yourself a favor.

Professor gill is amazing. Hes very funny and makes math seem easy. Math isnt my best subject but Im passing his class with an A all because of him. He teaches very well. Before test days we do a review of whats gonna be on the test and it really helps you out. Another thing, he doesnt make you memorize formulas. He gives you shortcut formulas

He really helps you understand the material and is great at explaining everything. Im horrible at math and I passed his course! This was my second time taking Mr. Gill and I would take him again if I ever need to take math. If you are someone like me who struggles with math then you must take Mr. Gill. His lectures and lecture notes made it so much easier to understand the material! Online classes are not easy but the lectures and lecture notes were super helpful.

2nd time taking stats and I was able to understand it w/ prof. Gill! He is such a sweetheart and such a great teacher! I was able to understand the hw and the lectures, especially considering the fact that everything was online. He responded to emails very quickly and answered all my questions! 100/10 would recommend!

Professor Jack Gill has to be the best math professor I have ever had. He is a diamond of a professor, very caring and professional, his lectures are great, there are 4 exams plus a final exam at the last day of class, the exams can be passed easily if one puts the effort and work into them. Highly recommended.

Where can I start, I never liked Math. It's a very hard subject for me so when I enrolled in this class fall 2021, when when I attended the first class I thought of dropping the class. But thanks to professor Gill and the practice exams things got better. I would recommend you to take notes and study for the exams. Excellent math professor.

This was my first on campus class. The Professor made my two nights at Rio Hondo fun and educational. I did learn a lot about statistics and about myself. I would take this class again and I would take this class with Professor Jack Gill. Study for the test, do the homework and pass the class. He keeps in fun and interesting. Amazing Professor!

Mr. Gill gives u formula sheets, mock exams, notes relating to the homework, charts, & he even wrote out his own statistical calculation sheet for us to use for our TI-83/84 graphing calculators. Most professors won't go out their way to make sure their students pass their classes. He's retiring this semester which sucks because he will be missed.
