Jack was a great instructor with a passion for instructing math. He made his content relevant and applicable to everyday situations.

Best teacher a student can ask for. Hatton has a way to always put the subject in a great understandable way.

for me being a person unable of adding 1+2, i got an average of 90 in all his tests. Mr hatton really taught me algebra in a fun way! he is a great teacher i wish i knew about him before.IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE ANY KIND OF MATH HIGHLY RECOMENDED TO TAKE HIM TO EXCELL

HE WAS VERY PATIENT AND EVEN THOUGH MATH IS ONE OF MY MOST DIFFICULT SUBJECTS HE MADE ME UNDERSTAND EVERY ASPECT OF FINITE MATH. I AM WAITING FOR HIM TO TEACH CALCULUS BECAUSE I REALLY NEED A TEACHER WHO CAN EXPLAIN THINGS IN THE MOST SIMPLEST OF TERMS LIKE HE DID!!!

As am older student returning to school, I cannot imagine a better stroke of luck than landing in Mr. Hatton's class.He was very involved with students. Mr. Hatton's personability helps to enthuse his class; teaching is truly his passon.

Mr Jack Hatton is the most creative and enjoyable math teacher I have encountered. He is extremely helpful. He has a way of making difficult items understandable. I will be taking him for 0312 and 1314.

Mr. Hatton is a GREAT teacher! He is so specific in his way of teaching, it makes math (my worst subject) enjoyable. Don't be afraid to ask questions, cause he'll DEFINATELY answer it. I'd definately recommend him for your teacher!

i took mr hatton for 0306 and 0308 online..i am not good in math and made an A and a B! he chooses the easiest test questions to cover the material, he does not give grades so do your homework to prepare and you will be fine

I took this class online for the 10 week summer session. I always feared math, but this class was super easy. I made an A. The only complaint was that Mr. Hatton was a bit slow in updating the weekly info and it took forever to get our grades. He never interacted with the online class, but the book was a very clear and the tests were super easy.

If you don't understand the way HE teaches then you should not major in math. He is absolutely the best; clear, helpful, and his teaching techniques are easy to understand. I wish he would higher level math. Thanks Proffesor Hatton!

Professor Hatton is a great teacher. He is very clear and easy to understand. He will answer all questions and really breaks things down making sure everybody understands the concepts. I highly recommend taking him for any math course.

This is the best math teacher ever. I took him for 0306, 0308, 0312. I am taking a break from math to finish other courses but I will not take math from no one else but Mr. Hatton. He understands that people learn in different ways so he breaks it down until you can understand it. HE IS THE BEST

I been done with math got all the way to Stats but if i would of not taken him i would of still been in math 0306, so he really got me to like math. Recommended for those who have trouble in math. You might be bored if you learn quickly though. Easy grade, gives you time for hw & assignments

GREAT teacher! i took him this summer and the class was pretty easy (and i hate math!) some terms were difficult but he guides you trough and explains everything. the class is interesting and fun! :)

I toke the course online and enjoyed it! He does require that you take one of your exams and your final on campus! So make sure that you are really learning the material and can past the test on campus! He doesn't tell you which test will be on campus in advance so be prepared!

Mr Hatton is WONDERFUL, he will break down math to any level and I've never been good in math and still am struggling. I really wish I could take him again but I can't because of the time he's teaching the class. He grades VERY fair. Take this man.

I took an online class for Math for Liberal Arts. HE was very prompt with responses and even gave us additional time for homework to improve our overall grade. Very professional professor.

the first time I had him was for a review and loved his teaching methods, uses different colors to explain the problems better, some of his classes may use mymathlab, very easy going, teaches test taking methods :)

Good professor. Knows material. Basically walks you through what you need to know then tests you on it. Some homework but it helps because it gets you some practice. overall great prof.

He never answered email. late on posting grade but overall he is good.2 blackboard test midterm and final exam, you need to go to test center.It was easy just practice on my math lab and you will do good.

This Professor is AWESOME!! Took his summer DE 5week class and learned so much.. math is NOT my subject and this class was a breeze for me.. passed w/ an A! He gives 3 tests followed by the final.. highly recommend him, especially if youre a parent!!

good teacher. math being my worst subject he teaches at a good pace to where you learn every thing needed to proceed to the next chapter. there is always homework but it is helpful for the tests. he is very laid back and very easy to get along with. i recommend!

He never replied to my phone calls and when he decided to reply to e-mails there were delays. The final and mid-terms were at the campus.He takes time with putting in grades. Other than that he was a good and easy teacher there is just very little communication with him.

Finite math: Awesome professor! He can explain the purpose and application of anything. The tests are multiple choice and work out the problem. You can use a scientific calculator in this course. He is amazing and can really teach you the math!

This teacher is the best math teacher ive ever had in all my schooling. H breaings DOWN n give alot of examples and ways of doing the problems. I hate math and I am not god at it. this guy is the plil jackson of math, however when you get on the 1314 level alot of teachers wil allow notes and a basic calculator. you may have to consider an average teacher that will permit use of notes vs. a great teacher that does not. worth taking if you really want to learn.

Great teacher! I hate math but with him I felt I really learned a lot. Do the homework! If you don't do the homework then you won't understand it. If I didn't understand something I would ask after class and he would go over it with me. If you hate math you should take Hatton he breaks down the math to where you understand it. Good luck =)

Hatton is the best math teacher I've ever had! He makes learning simple and if you have questions he will help you break it down. He is funny and keeps his students engaged. I highly recommend him if you have trouble with math, but there is alot of online hw which helps prepare you for test.

This is a great class/ teacher to take to satisfy your Math Reasoning Core Req. The online class is very easy and it consists of regular chapter homework assignments and 4 tests. One of the tests is in person, all others are online. If you understand math and took Pre Cal in high school, this should be SUPER easy. If not, be prepared to study alot

He is seriously THE MAN!Lectures are clear and tests are beyond easy as long as you go over your notes and pay attention! I took his summer class and math is my kryptonite but I definitely recommend this prof! When I first met him he reminded me of Morpheus from The Matrix but funny! He helps you out a lot! Pick him and don't miss his class!

Great instructor. Very helpful, made the criteria seem to easy. As long as you attend every class you'll be fine. I definitely recommend his class. Kind of tough to get ahold, but it's bc he's not in the office all the time.

Took Professor Hatton's course in the Summer. This is a great course if you are looking for a self-paced with deadlines approach. I was able to finish modules in two days versus two weeks! The books is amazing and sticks to the format of homework and exams! Made a B and finally gained that math credit! :)

Took him for 0409, was the best decision ever made. He is very humorous and relates math with real life situations. I would take him again if he taught 0312:( Pay attention, Take notes and do homework and you will pass.

I took him for MATH 0409. He is an outstanding teacher that enjoys teaching and loves math. Relates real life situations and great examples to math. He answers your questions and you can e-mail him if you need it. He helps you understand the subject until you understand it. I WOULD DEFINITELY TAKE HIM AGAIN. I RECOMMEND IT.

keep up with ur work & take ur time u will get a good grade. he gives u a good amount of time to do ur home work so dont fall behind. at the end of course he will open up all homework assignments to improve ur score if u need to. gave me a chance to take my final when i missed it. i got a C because im just not good at math not his fault though

I took math 0409 which I need to advance . The instruction was all done online though my math lab. The course is easy but I didn't do well because of my own because I needed to study more. Mr. Hatton responds to emails usually 24-48hrs later. I actually need to repeat this class and will be taking it again with him. VERY RECOMMENDED for online

Took prof Hatton in a 5 weeks summer class. If you're not very comfy with math, I would'nt advise a 5 week class but, if you must, make sure you purchase mymathlab access and take his class. He is very helpful & will explain stuff to you even after class. Awesome, lively and hilarious Prof. Gave extra credit work to boost grade. Take HIS class

Hatton made math very easy to understand. He always made sure everybody understood before moving forward. Always offered help when needed. Never made anybody feel lower than others. Respected!

He was great. Not much interaction since it was an online mini term class, but if you needed help, he answered with good explanations and examples. Since it was a short class, everything was fast paced! I imagine taking this class regular term would be a bit more relaxed. Definitely recommend him & this class.

online for Math 1332, it is definitely a lot of studying if you care about your test grade. We use my math lab to do all the homework he gives us. He gives good PowerPoints and videos that explain well. Test are not easy if you do not study. 4 test(1 in person) and final in person. DO NOT purchase the text book only the mathlab acces code.

TAKE HIM!!! I have a hard time with math, ant testing anxiety. Taking Prof. Hatton online was the best thing I have done. Take notes from his PowerPoint, and videos. 2-3 online test, and 2 in person. 1 of which is the final.

There is 4 test, the second test is in person the other 3 are online, you have 2 hours to complete 25 questions. Keep up with the homework on mymath lab all the test are there too. Gives pretty good powerpoints that explain too well for it to be an online class (: The final is in person as well. Math 1332 is not easy you have to study!

I wanted an A in this class so I had to really study a lot and understand the material, I would almost study everyday Monday-Friday the homework on mymath lab was a lot but it helped! Don't go into this class thinking its an easy A you have to study and understand the material for you to get an A. Great professor

I took this course online 5-week summer session and it requires time to study and to do homework. Homework has is due on specific dates and do not wait to do your homework. He is helpful and responds to email in a timely manner. I would recommend taking his course. He uses online course assignment

One of the best math professors I've had. He makes sure everyone is on the same page. I showed up really late to take final, he allowed me to take it the next day to make sure I had enough time. Very talkative but I would def recommend. He is caring and explains the material very clearly. You need your book and stay on top of your homework! Easy A!

I am terrible at math, but Prof. Hatton helped me be more confident. He's the very best math teacher I've ever had! He wants to make sure everyone is on the same page before moving on. He's happy to answer any questions and is great at explaining! I've been trying to take more classes with him again I hope he chooses to teach them soon

I took this course online, and he had many videos and examples on every chapter so you can understand it. There was a good amount of work to be done in the class, but you usually always had a week or two to finish the 2-3 chapters you had to do. There was 4 tests both online and on campus.

He is a gem! Took the class online. The content is very relevant and easy to understand. Proffesor Hatton was very responsive and communicated deadlines very well. If you do the work an A is definitely attainable.

This was a hard class. This class covers various criteria for mathematics. There are lots of homework assignments and there is also a study lab online that helps. I would highly recommend staying ahead of the curve and have everything done in time. Other than that it was well structured with how to videos etc. I did learn a lot in that class.

I had an amazing experience in Mr. Hatton's class. He is a great teacher and explains the math process very well. I am not a math fan and Mr. Hatton made class a great experience. He is also very kind and has a positive attitude. I would think that anyone who has something negative to say must have been lazy and not taken class seriously.

I am actually taking his class this spring (2025). He is good, like for real. He gives review sheets with answers before exams. Students who are complaining are just not working that much. Yes he gives homework (with videos on them) that is normal ! And before the tests, he opens them to allow you to review them. There are discussion posts too

Honestly, the grade I got was my fault. Professor Hatton is great and an easy A if you study and work hard in his class. He's also very caring and wants to see you succeed.
