Awesome professor who was able to take ancient texts and make them contemporary. Great comparisons of readings from Homer or Virgil to modern film & video games. Great sense of humor. Reviews what to study for tests. Super invested in the success of the student & always available for help. I'd take any class he teaches. Not bad on the eyes either.

Professor Kelnhofer is great. I had him for a quick term, World Lit, online course and he made the class stress free. He posts videos and replies to emails quickly. You can tell he really loves what he's teaching and wants everyone to just enjoy the class.

Had him once a week. Its not easy to take an English class at 8am, but hes an amazing teacher and cracks jokes all the time. Loved the class. Missed about 4 classes and got an A at the end because he loved my papers. You write 3 papers and a research paper at the end. Take him. Hes really a great guy

Jack is a great teacher. Is passionate and serious about his profession and topics..but has a great sense of humor to keep anyone engaged and interested in stories that where written 3000 years ago! highly suggest taking him,not because he is easy but because he will make you have an interest on a topicthat I for one could of cared less about

Kelnhofer's World Lit class was just incredible and Prof. JK was a great instructor and great guy. The classes were lecture based, but they were very engaging, as he would explain the story AND include current and usually humorous comparisons. You get papers and tests, but can redo papers until you get an A. Wish he taught more English classes!

I love this professor he is very laid back, but he expects you to work at the same time. I would take him for 152 as well. Also very helpful when it came to the essays. He expects you to do the work, but he will help out if you need it. LOVE THE CLASS!!! Taking Him Again Real Soon!!

I think he's just a great professor. He doesn't sugar coat things and tells you how it is. He made a class I probably would have dropped, fun. If I needed more English classes, I wouldn't hesitate to take him again.

The best professor I had my entire year at Ocean County. Some people take him because he's an "easier" professor. Do not let that fool you! He is engaged! I've went to him literally too many times to count for help on my paper or even just to talk. He is brilliant! If you wish to be a learned person or love reading, take advantage of this man!

GREAT Professor! I took him for an online 5 week quick session and it was the most stress-free online class I've ever taken. Navigation around the class was super easy and he always answered any e-mails and questions in a timely manner. I would so take him again online or in the classroom!

Awesome and HILARIOUS professor. He was so awesome. BARELY used the book because Sparknotes was good enough. Tells you exactly what's on the exam, except for multiple choice which is so easy if you listen to lectures and take some notes. 1 response paper and a research paper. Without a doubt, take him. This is the best class I have taken; not to mention, this was one of my least favorite subjects! Professor Kelnhofer is entirely devoted to teaching his students and providing them with the opportunity to become better writers and thinkers. The content of the course is interesting because of the way it is presented. Don't pass by the opportunity!

This professor makes learning fun through an online format. He has weekly youtube videos of his lectures that are informative and fun to watch. There is a fair amount of work required but he is very accommodating if you are having trouble. Also if you go see a play you get an A for an essay grade! He's the best english teacher that I've ever had.

The greatest english teacher I have ever had in my school career. It's a sin that he is now a Dean and has limited classes. I admire him and his passion for teaching. This is a great course. We read like 6 plays and usually don't like to read but these were ok feed back was good

Since it's an online class expect to participate. He was pretty lenient with late discussion posts. You could tell he really liked Shakespeare, which was a plus. A couple of quiz answers were wrong, but if you asked him about it he'd change it for you. He seems super nice and easy to talk to.

English is my least favorite subject but for a 5 week quick term online, he made it my favorite! He is simply amazing and very accessible and there to help! He is an awesome professor!

Wonderful professor. Took his Shakespeare's Plays in Fall 2017. Kelnhofer knows his stuff and is passionate about what he teaches. It appears to be a lot of reading and writing, but it's just a few hours a week. SparkNotes helps tremendously. No due dates, but keep up w schedule. He wants to see you succeed and think for yourself. Would take again.

OK, so I take Shakespeare because I have to for my 4 year program and I was dreading it. This course was really fun tho. Lots of videos. Free textbook. The plays are hard to read but I watched movies too and that helped.

I took his microeconomics class online. Every week there's a discussion, quiz, and assignment. Some weeks the discussions are a little heavier than others, but his instructions and powerpoints really help. The book is provided with the online class and you should really look into if you're having any trouble. Taking his online class is so worth it.

Mr. Kelnhofer was the best! He was an incredible help with anything, always provided in-depth answers to any question. Not a tough grader at all, in fact he allows many slip-ups to go by if you really put in the effort.

If you are lazy, not the prof nor class for you. A lot of reading, of course, but If you do the work you will get a good grade. Objective grader, can be a little tough when it comes to helping out with questions, though. I ended up reaching out to peers a lot because of this. If you like basic classic literature, you won't be bored. DO YOUR WORK!

I have taken this professor for many english classes. I look for him when i need to take an english class. He is an easy grader, takes late work, and very respectful. Never have had a problem getting ahold of him. He shows how much he cares for what he teachers.

I've taken Professor Kelnhofer before and I'll continue to take him every chance I get. An amazing professor who actually cares and is very experienced in his field. Put in the right amount of effort, and you'll pass no problem. Highly recommend.

As long as you are giving genuine effort you will do just fine. Lots of discussions, but simple insightful participation goes a long way. When being graded on things like outlines or paper proposals, he will make corrections without docking points but will dock on the final paper if the feedback wasn't applied. He wants to see his students do well.

Professor K was a great English teacher. The only complaint I have is when I would email him he would take a few days to answer but otherwise, his discussions were fun and his assignments were easy as long as you do all the readings and watch his videos.

Such a great class! Very easy to follow assignments. One discussion and one assignment each week. Professor gives great feedback on your work. I would definitely recommend! As long as you participate in discussion and do your assignments you'll do just fine.

This class was very easy but still interesting. The discussion post prompts are pretty broad and opinion-based which allow for a diverse conversation. You can pretty much write whatever you want as long as you incorporate the material. He's a quick grader and his assignments are clear/understandable so I would recommend him.

I would recommend this professor for anyone looking to take an English class online. Provides good, insightful feedback to your work, and lets you know what could be improved upon, as well as providing great responses to discussion posts. Late work also dosent take a huge grade hit (do not take advantage of this however.) great professor overall.

I took Professor Kelnhofer for ENG151 this past summer. He is a very kind individual who wants success for his students. His grading criteria were clear and easy to get used to. He offers inspiring, constructive criticism that pushes you to become a better writer. The assignments were pretty easy, just follow his instructions. 10/10.
