Years later Coach Mandel is still the best professor I ever had.

Probably the best teahcer of all time. Makes class fun and on top of that you learn thnigs you will never forget. Coach Mandel keeps me fully interested in his class at 8:00 in the mourning.....I find that amazing....TAKE HIS CLASSES YOUL LOVE HIM

Professor Mandel is unlike any other teacher. He uses his own experiences to help enhance the course, which allows you to get a better understanding of the public relations field, and the course as well. He is very fun, willing to work with you, and understands his students' personal needs.

Mandel is full of enthusiasm and really seems to enjoy teaching college at NCC. He demands alot in terms of tests, homework, and a project but in the end the class really taught me about the sport marketing business. Speakers are great too! He has avery unique style of teaching.

Mandel is a understanding and kind prof. who understands the needs of his students. As the Pres. of the Latino program on campus he fully supported all our activities this semester and even was willing to volunteer his time. He shows warmth and compassion for his students and his job at NCC.

Although Professor Mandell is really strict when it comes to attendance and lateness policies(he dropped 3 or 4 students early in the semester)he is still great! I learned to be a true "winner". Tests are hard but straight from the textbook. If you want someone to keep you awake, Mandel is your man!

It's hard to believe it but I've had Prof. Mandel since freshman year. Now I'm graduating. I've had him for 4 classes. Although I retained mostly C's and B's in his classes, I had a wonderful time being part of such a great classroom environment. He is entertaining, and straight-forward and a real warm professor. He's not the average NCC professor

Prof. Mandel is the MAN. It is not a free ride class but definitely worth the trip. He makes the class a fun and very enjoyable experience. He has a lot to offer if you open your mind. There is a big project to do throughout the semester but it is fun and you work in a group. Definitly try to get Prof. Mandel for this or any other Marketing Class.

I think too many NCC students are, too immature to handle Prof. Mandel's method of teaching. He shares his experiences in business and many students say it's his "ego" talking. I'd rather have him talk for life than only from a text book.It's a terrific class(I took him both in Fall 2004 and Spring 2005). He's witty, articulate and funny!

I had him this semester, at first I thought that it would be a hard class and wanted to drop. He tries to scare people in the begining. Towards the end I started liking the guy, even though he talks about himself and his problems in class. As long as you do well on th tests, you'll be fime. Now I think he's one of the best proffesors I ever had.

I have had Prof Mandel for two classes now. PR and Direct Marketing. He is a great teacher. He conects with his students on higher level. Every couple tuesdays we have a great field trip or a speaker come in and teach us about thier business and how they are successful. I recomend Jack Mandel as your teacher for the subjects he teaches.

he's very into himself plus he has a very annoying attendance policy which basically makes you have to come to class. if your a girl definetly take one of his classes, he'll give you a good grade for sure. just make sure you show u tried hard on his final project and your bound to do well

he gives about 3 tests and there are not tricks on them he tells you how it is straight up and down. HE IS THE****!!!

Although his midterm and final is hard, if you study, you do OK. He has a personal style of teaching; very unique. Some students think he's "into himself". NOT TRUE! He knows business from doing it his whole life. TAKE HIM! I also liked going on field trips and the special guest speakers he brought into class.

Youll never be bored in mandell class. he has a very tuff attendence and lateness policy but thats because he want to keep the class serious. and keep loosers out. he acts like acouch and we are on his team. a term project and his tests are really hard but at least i walked out learnig something about the sports business. he is no B.S.

Mandel taught me a lot about starting my own catering business. He really has a positive attitude and shows it in class. Some people think that when he talks about his business experiences, he's bragging. But I think otherwise. He can't be fooled easily either. I'm taking him for P.R. next term.

Mandel is one of NCC's friendliest, and sincere professors. he has a great sense of humor snd took the time to really explain his exams and class project. he likes to bring his business experiences into classs and that makes for a less boring experienvce. i really liked the field trips and guest professors he invites too.TAKE HIM!

Prof "M" AKA “Professor JM LOVE" really knows marketing. Not only does he practice what he preaches, but he wears it too. Sometimes, immature students can't handle his honesty. His field trips & "guest professors for a day" make his classes the best!!!!! TAKE HIM...... Hands down! He's tough but fair and loves what he does.

Teaches you things that you don't normally learn is school. Uses the book for important terms, but everything else is taught from real life experience. Not just his experience, but also many successful people that brings to lecture at the school or takes you on a field trip to see. Take this guy only if really want to do something with yourself!

Mandel is a wonderful teacher. One of the few teachers that actually care about his students succeeding in life. He takes you on field trips to meet famous people and he also brings them to you to teach you the insight of the real world. He gives only three tests and if you fail them there is something wrong with you basically. I love this teacher!

Professor Mandel is a one of kind. His brilliant outside the class field trips and "teacher for a day" make you think what marketing is all about, rather than just a textbook. He also took the extra time to prepare me for the business world by teaching me how to tie a tie. This is something i was a little embarrased about, but he made me welcomed.

Had a rough start, got caught on my cell phone which is unnacceptable in Mandel's class, wrote a letter of apology and never did it again.. turned out to be a great semester got an A in the end. Hes an Awesome professor .. does more hands on learning through field trips and guest speakers and puts public relations to real life. study the key words!

This dude's an awesome guy, very differnt with his teaching style. A lot more hands-on but one thing about Prof. Mandel, he has a pretty good amount of fieldtrips and lectures that during club hr so be willing to compromise if you take him. Lets you do all sorts of extra credit to raise ur grade, not that much work at all.

Well first off He doesnt play games with cell phones if he sees it your out! As well as lateness. He runs the class like its hes home and your a welcome guest. Interesting public speakers come. Mandel will "call you out" in a funny way. One of those guys you either love or hate! The hour goes by fast you can tell he has a passion for his profession. Take him but be prepared to do work. Espically on the group project. Don't be a slacker and you will enjoy the class.

Professor Mandel is the most caring Professor I've ever had. He works hand in hand with students until they completely understand everything explained. I have professor Mandel for my 7AM MKT 100 class and I was never late! He may be a pain with his rules but it was fun; there is never a dull day in this class. . .it just flew by. I really learned a lot from Him, his "Guest Professors," and his field trips. He knows a lot of people and there's always opportunity to make connections.

I am an aspiring entrepreneur in the fashion industry with my own collection of high quality Streetwear, he has given me advice I could never receive from a text book. Prof. M has a non traditional way of teaching. At first i didn't like him b/c of how he would talk to students and talk about himself. I slowly realized the reason for his insane rules are to see who respects him by following them. Make sure you listen to his stories&also READ the text. Prof Mandel was an amazing prof. I took him last semester Fall 2013. At first I wasn't sure about the class if I would like it or not. Mandel knows what he is talking about. For the field trips and lectures I went to I loved them all, they were fun. I really suggest taking his class if your serious about a marketing major!

Mandel just had the COO if the NY Cosmos soccer team visit. I have been playing soccer since i was 3 and i love the sport even more now-infact im on the NCC soccer team. He knows people and cares about more than a textbook. Wake up and take him. He is #1 although he is willing to throw out cell phone users and doesnt let you drink in class.

Dr. Love was the best professor at nassau. Attendance is mandatory but the class is so fun its not a problem. He says no phones but you can get around that. His test are easy, field trips & speakers were the best part because it gives students hope of being able to finish college & start a career. He said I would remember his class & I will.

Test are straight from the book... I always looked forward to his class. Mandel knows the real deal but you can't get away with s__t! I was late 3 times and almost got dropped but I got my act together.

He's such a clown but in a good way i guess. I took sports marketing and it was very easy. Tests are right from the text. You don't do much in class even though attendance is mandatory. You have to attend guest speakers and field trips which kinda suck but if you attend you should have no problem getting an A.

This class still marks as one of the "fun" type of classes I have ever taken in Nassau Community College. Even in this course, you get to go on trips and so on. Plus the tests was pretty easy.

If you aren't going to wok together with your team on your group project then just withdraw because you will fail. The tests are fair and he does not BS you. Mandal is awesome. he stresses attendance a lot but he does it so he gets the best out of his students. two tests (midterm and final) which he gives you a review sheet for. they were middle school format tests. one big group project that he stresses a lot, worth 50% of your grade. show up to class and go to the field trips and you'll get an A.

I had this class at 7am and never missed a day, my whole class was always on time. We also went on field trips and had guest professors. This was my favorite class for the semester! NO Food or Drinks allowed! But take the class it was great!

If you're on a team at NCC, this class is for you. Think of Mandel as your coach. He'll call you out for not doing homework, coming in late and if he sees a cell phone, he'll make you write an apology letter which you have to read to the class. Group Project requires real effort. 2 tests, which are fair because he gives study sheets but not easy.

A very relatable professor, he understands his students and his class is not 13th grade. He cares! He even came to support me at a school fashion show. Take his class you won't regret it! Plus he spends a lot of money on sneakers!

If your looking for easy, don't take mandel. He holds you to task. No food, water, or lateness. Yet, I love the class! I worked my butt off on the project and learned the importance of a group. Met George Ross (Donald Trumps Attorney). It is my most memorable class at Ncc, but expect to work!

I had him for direct marketing 108 and the toughest part was the group project. He hates slackers and people who come in late! He hates seeing the people with their phones, food or water. It's "his house and we just rent it." (A quote by mandel) The trips and guest speakers were great though but you MUST go on club hour. Hes funny so take him!

Im on the basketball team and he treated me like a player. He was fair but tough. No food, no drinks, no phones, and if you come late, youre off his team. You must go on field trips or you get marked absent. Overall, it was a great experience.

Great professor, but if you dont have a lot of extra time on your hands dont take him. Field trips count as classes and are on days that you dont have class. Other than that his class is very easy. Barely checks homework & absolutely NO cell phones or drinks/food. He'll actually kick you out of his class if he sees any of it.

When you are in Mandel's class it's like his house and you are lucky to rent space. He teaches not just from the book but through feild trips and guest speakers which gives us more work but taught me a lot. Professor that wants you to succeed. We have field trips and public speakers that count toward your grade so make it that you attend. First few days, he seems like a tough professor but he turns out to be laid back and has a very dry sarcasm (in a good way). Make sure you buy the textbook. Expect texbook work.

Professor Mandel is by far the best professor at this campus. He is hilarious and just an overall awesome guy. But when it comes to work it's a very fair amount. Being on the baseball team I didn't find it hard to get an A of n his class but you need to put in some work. Professor Mandel is a must have professor while attending ncc.

Very funny man, and likes to crack innapropriate jokes but will make a college student laugh! He loves you if you are on any sports team at Nassau Community College. Show up, talk a little bit, do one homework and show him the same paper for every homework, works everytime!

Makes everyone feel comfortable and works very hard on getting special guest speakers to create opportunities for all who arrive at the lectures. Easy Class, Easy A. He has guest speakers come to speak to all his classes which are pretty interesting. One negative thing is that he seems to care more about his speakers than he does about his students. When you go to these presentations he pretty much blows them.

Awesome professor and classes are always easy as long as you always show up and do your work. Tests always include whats discussed in class and usually come from terms or questions from the homework assignments which he pretty much only gives at the beginning of each chapter. Would take again!

Professor Mandel has made my NCC experience one of the best. I have taken him 3 marketing classes and Direct Marketing was my favorite by far my favorite. You have a big group project at the end of the semester that takes a lot of work and effort but is fun and helps you learn a lot. Professor Mandel makes you work for Your grade.

Professor Mandel or aka Dr Love, was by far one of my greatest mentors that Ive had. Hes understanding and makes the class worth while. He basically founded direct marketing at NCC therefore he knows his stuff and will make sure you do as well. Hilarious is an understatement for this man! Professor Mandel is one of the BEST teachers I've ever had. He sets the bar on the first day of class and encourages everyone to be winners. Professor Mandel goes out of his way, uses his connections with executives and brings them to speak to us. Best of all he cares! He's always featured in local news, so he's a celebrity. I had Professor Mandel for 3 semesters and he is Atypical of other NCC professors. He stands out no B.S. Really cares for the students but is tough on Slackers. Take time on the project it will help in the long term. Overall my favorite professor of all time at NCC. I would purse to the G.O.A.T Professor !

Sports marketing is a lot of fun with Mandel. Hes very serious when it comes to showing up on time and never drinking or eating in his class! The group project required the team work and if you are not serious dont take his class. He was my favorite teacher this semester.

He was awesome. Groups projects are cool and tests arent hard. Very interesting man to listen to. Has lots of cool stories. Doesnt tolerate drinks or food. There are winners and losers in his class. Figure out which one you want to be. Hes your coach and your the players. Make the best of it. Would definitely recommend.

Not only is Professor Mandel funny, hes easily the best dressed professor youll ever see. He is a easy going man with a great taste in jewelry. His class is fairly easy, but you still have to work. Hes very animated and a kid at heart. In MKT 138, you want to be a winner. His jewelry always matches his impeccable track suits. Great Professor!

I screwed up this semester & although I only received a D+, Mandel tried to be encouraging all the way. The most fair & creative professor I've had at Nassau. He knows his stuff & you will learn a lot here along with having fun. He threw my ot the class for drinking water & eating a Twix bar lol

Mandel changes the game, while other NCC teachers cant even play in his league! He builds winners and if youre lazy, come late, bring food or sodas into class, he will call you out. AND TELL YOU TO LEAVE! His guest professors really inspire. Be prepared to WORK! Project is tough but i made friends. He demands a lot from his students!

Prof Mandel is a crazy, unorthodox, amazing teacher. I took him for Public Relations because i want to get in that career and he was great. just show up and participate and you will do fine. definitely would take again.

Professor Mandel is the best professor in NCC. He cares for his students and loves his job. Hes funny and goes above and beyond for his students to get a great learning experience. If it werent for his class and his assigned group project, i wouldnt have had the best partners and best of friends! Easy A and i will definitely miss this class!!

I really enjoyed his class!! He is totally different, funny, and smart!.

He's so easy. Literally the easiest college course of all time! His class is so laughable. He acts like it's not the 13th grade, but everything is so watered down. The only thing i don't understand is his dumb attendance policy. Like we don't learn anything just make it optional. But yea the dudes really not the big a deal LOL.

Mandel is tough on rules like no food or drinks and that you must come to class on time. He's also very strict with not having cellphones out. His test are easy as long as you follow the tip sheets he gives out. He tries to keep the class active throughout the duration of class. Very fun teacher who will with you. Even does magic.

Great professor, would recommend anyone to take his classes and you will succeed. He is very strict about no water or eating in class, and no cell phones he will ask you to leave. But he is unique.

Best professor at NCC he ties his experiences to the lesson which make it interesting. Hes in the PR industry so he provides his own examples and makes it fun. Guest speakers and few assignments just do them and you should get a good grade. And lots of points for participation. Hes also hilarious and caring

The class was very easy, show up and just take about marketing. He is a bit of a wacky professor but he truly cares about his students. He actually helped me get an internship!

He is the best professor I have ever had. From beginning to end, he is the goat and will never allow water to be drank in his class. His guest speakers were phenomenal and inspirational. He even helped me to make contact with an employer and I was always be thankful for that. If you dont take one of his classes your doing it wrong.
