Would highly recommend! More than reasonable on grading policy. Makes sure that one understands the material being taught. Highly helpful in office hours. I had quiz problems that I answered correctly that were marked wrong by the computer grader. Upon questioning this, he was more than happy to fix the issue when proof of a glitch was found.

Professor Batarseh is by far the greatest professors I have had at BCC. One of the most helpful, dedicated and caring professors on campus. Very good at communicating with students, prepares you for all the tests, very thorough with the material and will definitely work with you. Take him any chance you get. Such a pleasure taking his class.

This was my first computer programming course so I wasn't sure what to expect. The low clarity grade is based more on my understanding of the course rather than Professor Batarseh's knowledge or ability to teach. He is a very knowledgeable instructor and would bend over backwards to assist his students.

Taking Math 2 with Professor Batarseh was worthwhile. This statistics class was a hyprid by the way, so I got the best of both world's. He was extremely helpfull and clear cut as to what he expects from you. If you keep up with the lessons and do your due dillegence as a student, you will earn an A. I highly advise all to take Math2 with Batarseh.

Professor Batarseh was an amazing instructor. I took Intro to Java with him, and though the class was a 9 week hybrid, I learned a lot. There is a lot of reading, but lectures help tremendously, and all labs are done in class so students can get help if needed. Expect to read because quizzes are based out of the book, and so is the final. Have fun!

He was really quick to respond to any questions I emailed him. The final test was tough as it ranged across 10 chapters closed book. Definitely learned a lot though.

I am glad I took this class with professor Jacob Batarseh. His class is well organized. The labs are not that complicated. He includes instructions and also videos that are easy to follow. One lab every week, One quiz every week, the midterm and final. Professor Batarseh cares for the students. He is always available if you need help.

This professor is amazing, he takes the time to email you back super fast and helps you out throughout the whole course. I took his course online because I live an hour and a half away from the campus and I have to say it was a good experience.

The assignments were laid out in a very organized manner with supporting material such as power points and videos available. Prof. Batarseh wants you to succeed, but he expects you to put forth the effort. Make sure you communicate any concerns to him. He responds quickly and is very workable.

He was a great Teacher the two times I took him but there is a caviot . You will only learn something if you want to . This is essentially an easy A class where you should pass easily but the real value of the class comes from discussing your coding with the teacher to actually learn it .

I enjoy classes like this where there is 1 discussion, 1 hw/lab, and 1 quiz every week. I like that it is consistent and easy to understand instructions. Lectures weren't bad. Labs were easy and fun. The quizzes were pretty straight forward, with one chance of a redo. Discussions were nice too because you could pick the questions you answer.

He provides the materials to use and then gives students the freedom to learn at their own pace and method. He had no midterm, but a final that covered everything. His final was reasonable. His homework was suggested, but participation was required. If the student wanted a good grade, the suggested homework was within their choosing and management.

My class was online, but Professor Batarseh responded to my questions quickly and was very nice. :)

I really enjoyed how simple the projects are and that they work with MAC products . I enjoyed the simplest form of using word, PowerPoint, and excel. I enjoyed the way the professor chose to complete grading and worth . I learn how to use the tabs buttons in Word and excel.

Easy class but lots of quizes each week just have to be consistent everyday so it doesnt build up. Teacher was very nice and understandable if you needed help or needed more time to complete assignments. Doesnt do lectures so thats a plus for me.

This course was not stressful at all, you work at your own pace and the professor is very understanding and available if you ever need help or have questions.

I'd say for all the computer science majors, that this teacher should be the go-to for a lot of students for CSC-5. The class is about 5 assignments a week, and will require a good chunk of time to complete, but everything is extremely fair. Lots of time to complete assignments, and lots of opportunity to practice coding. Highly recommend.
