The class was entertaining at times. Mr Feminineo did well as a teacher considering he was hired the day classes were scheduled to start. However if you despise multiple choice then the tests can be tough.

The professor is always there for us, explains the material very well, tried to make the material not boring. I got use of this class, before I was ignorant about important issues, but after taking this class, I feel myself knowledgeable, I love this class and I'm grateful to my professor.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! Not quite sure why he has not run for president yet. This guy is amazing and certainly knows what he's talking about not to mention makes it entertaining all at the same time! If you take one proff. here at MCC and love poli-sci take him! i am telling you. Exams are written but not bad at all.

Great professor! If you come to class and read the book, you should get an A. Also gives curves on his tests! He incorporates Fox and MSNBC into his lectures.

For an 8am politicial science class .. There was nothing tiring/boring about it. His lectures are very entertaining, often incorporates tv clips. His exams are both multiple choice and written. If you read the book and pay attention to the examples used in lecture, you should do good! He also curves his exams and offers extra credit.

He is a really good professor, his lectures are not boring he makes them entertaining. He gives a lot of handouts for you to study for the test. Tests were kinda of difficult, but not too bad. He grades his tests fairly. He is willing to help you out if you ask.

Mr. Feminenio is a great teacher. He gives great lectures and keeps the class as engaged as possible. The class is never boring and you learn a lot in a little period of time. The test he gives are exactly what you learn in class and he grades pretty well too. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone looking to unset politics better.

Mr. Femminineo is a great teacher. He is very clear about the subject, he likes what he does and enjoys it. Not a single homework was given, but you have to study for his tests really hard.

Professor Femminineo was a great! His sense of humor kept students attentive during lectures. He doesn't hand out homework and though your class grades are based on only four exams, the materials given are also handed out beforehand as well for study purposes. He's also a lawyer! He's very inspiring! I definitely recommend!

Great professor. His lectures are easy to follow and understand. If you are not a political science major you will need to attend every class! Your homework is to read the next chapter before class, I highly recommend it!

For being very active in politics and being a lawyer, he is very neutral when it comes to teaching politics. Even when I can tell he's more one sided in his personal life.

Be ready to study but the plus is no homework. I love his teaching style because he engages you in the process and makes it relatable. He makes himself available anytime for questions and never makes you feel bad for getting clarification on something. But you have to put in time to read and know definitions. Extremely fair.

Great Professor, great Lectures. Keeps the class interesting with current events, videos, etc. Realistic and true to what actually happens in politics. Graded only on tests but lots of extra credit opportunities available. Have to study for tests from books because there aren't many notes able to be taken in class in my opinion. Easy A if you study

I have never been more excited to learn about politics and government until I took this class, professor Femminineo makes his class fun and excited weather it's watching funny political SNL videos or going over the Articles of Confederation. I wish he would teach more then just politics.

Such a fun class. Professor Femminineo made the class interesting and enjoyable. He makes the class easy to be engaged in. His classes are lecture based, with a few clips from SNL and other news stations. Tests are on the harder side, so make sure you attend as many classes as possible and pay attention during the lectures! Loved this class!

I looked forward attending each week even though it was a Friday night. He kept our attention.

I would like more short quizes than long exams

Make sure you take notes and even if you miss class if you email him he will make sure you get what you need. He'll also send a mass text out to let the people know who missed class that they need to contact him so they can get the material for the quiz.

Mr. Femminineo is one of my favorite professors at Macomb. His lectures aren't boring and exams are very straight forward. He is very easy to contact through text or email. He gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. Read the chapters, pay attention in class, study for your exams, and you'll do well.

He really makes sure you understand the material. He's super excited, loud and in your face but it's actually really good because it helps you be more involved and pay attention. He really helped me understand what we were learning, not just cram information from a book to pass an exam.

I was nervous to take this class because I'm not into politics but I've really enjoyed the class. The lectures are interesting, current and funny. He's constantly making himself available for students and easy to contact. Definitely one of my favorite professors!

He was a fill-in after our other professor had a medical emergency. He was much easier to follow and he keeps your attention and gets to the point.

I was skeptical about taking a politics class because I was afraid of having a professor who pushed his views on the class. I was pleased to see that prof Femminineo was completely neutral with everything he talked about which helped me understand the subject much more. Great professor to have for a morning class!

Probably the nicest teacher I have ever came across. So friendly and easy to be around cares about individual students. From what I've heard all the other American politic teachers aren't very good so I'm very lucky I had this professor. Very easy on the eyes also.

Very enthusiastic lecturer. He tries his best to engage the students and turns a rather mundane subject interesting. Exams are not easy, but expectations are made clear from the beginning, and all materials on the test are either covered in class or can be found in the book.

He made Political Science somewhat interesting. He throws bad jokes out during lectures which makes them funny. He tends to get off topic for a minute (usually about how nice the weather is). Overall a great professor and i would definitely recommend him to anyone who was considering taking his class.

As long as you follow along in the lecture or at least do his study guides, you should get at least a passing grade.

You need to be in class to get all the information needed for tests. He puts more information from his lectures in the test than information from the book.

Prof Femminineo is very enthusiastic and always tries his best to engage his students. He often talks about current political issues and uses many examples to demonstrate certain concepts, such that we can relate the subject to many practical matters. His exams are not difficult if you make an effort to study the materials.

This class is really easy if you pay attention because he usually talks for the whole 2 hours and that is how it's going to be for the semister. He doesn't write his notes on the board, he only discuss it to the class. There is no homeworka at all, only when there's a test and you will need to study for it. Other than that, this class is not hard.

This professor filled in for the original professor and saved the class for everyone. His lectures are a lot of fun and I learned a lot more than I would have with a different professor.

Prof Femminineo starts each class with video clips relating to current events. This semester he showed us O'reilly and SNL with occasional sprinklings of Hannity and Maddow. An A is extremely feasible in this class. Attend review day before test and memorize the vocab for each chapter and 80% of your studying is done, the rest is conceptual.

GREAT GUY!! Make sure you read before each class to know what's going on. Its a must!!! Other than that was a fun class. Would recommend to others.

Great teacher. Kept us engaged in lecture and went over all tests with us. Never kept us full four hours (bonus!) and didn't lower grades because of absences. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Lectures are relevant and interesting. His lectures cover the information that will be on the tests-so just pay attention and take notes and you will have no trouble. If you aren't in class for the lecture prepare to read the information (which will be very boring compared to the lecture).

The teacher knows his information and what the students need to know. You basically have to come to class, listen to his lectures , write some notes , and you will get an A. It is easy to know what is the focus of the test is going to be on as he says he is focusing on this subject.

Mr. Femminineo is an amazing Professor. His lectures are always entertaining and the content is very interesting as well. Just show up to class and study. If youre not familiar with politics, this class will be challenging at first because you wont be able to keep up. After a while though, youll be fine and he gives a lot of extra credit which makes up for him not giving study guides for tests. As long as you study the notes he gives and the notes you take during lectures you should be fine.

Great, nonpartisan professor, especially for today's political climate. I thought this was going to be a very difficult class and I thought he was going to be very strict but after him opening up he actually makes the class very entertaining and very easy to learn! Gives lots of extra credit opportunities, will tell you he won't spoon feed you but he will give you everything you need to learn for the tests! NO HW!

Government usually isn't my thing, but his lectures kept you interested and his explanations made things much more understandable! He gives really good and thorough examples for most everything, making the material easier to comprehend. Be sure to attend class because he gives you actual test questions prior to all the exams! The material is hard but if you put the work in you will do great. really good class for a short summer class The class is only graded on 6 exams (seems scary but it's a good thing) and multiple opportunities for extra credit. Would download Quizlet as a study aid if you're taking this class.

Prof. Femminineo is a really good professor. I have him for POLS1000. He is very funny and high energy. He offers a lot of extra credit. If you need to contact him, you can text him and he gets back to you very quick. You want to show up for class, because the lectures are a big part of the test. I would take this class again.

This has been my favorite instructor/teacher i have had ever, his lectures were interesting and he told you exactly what to expect if you plan on passing the class.

Professor was very interesting. Class was always a laugh but grading critera was sometimes unclear.

One of my favorite professors that Ive had. The class is pretty straight forward, come in and pay attention to the lectures and study for the tests. Did not receive any homework or even in class work unless it was extra credit. Grade is determined on participation and tests, which he will give a curve depending on the class grades.

Professor Femminineo was great all around! He had great lectures that kept you engaged unlike other classes. He likes helping his students and as a result he is easily accessible and allows for many extra credit opportunities. Would definitely recommend to anyone taking this class.

He's a really nice guy in general and is pretty understanding. Most of the material on the tests he covers in his lectures and gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Also no homework most of the time just lectures and tests so it's not hard. Makes it bearable to come to and is very good at communicating back and forth. Highly recommend.

Exams are easy for the most part, the essay portions require a bit more. He references the book and says to read it, you'll probably want it for reference but as long you pay attention in class you probably won't have to read it. He's super entertaining to listen to. He also gives a lot of extra credit for watching movies and writing about them.

Class is easy. There's a lot of extra credit opportunities which really helps by the end of the semester. Exams are easy, and clear if you study well and write notes, In addition Mr. Femminineo does a review before every exam. Finally, Prof Femminineo is really cool and hilarious so you will not fall asleep during lectures. ^_^

For one of my first college classes this was a amazing teacher to have hes very funny while speaking and makes learning fun Ive learned a lot about this subject although the tests in this class can be extremely challenging but if you listen to him and go over the book you can get a very good grade in this class i recommend this professor

Teaching is clearly much more than just a job to him; he really cares about his students. He gives detailed, engaging lectures full of real-world examples that make the content digestible. There is no homework but he gives lots of study resources for the tests. Overall, he's a great professor.

He likes to be satire with the class to be funny so the class pays attention. The grades are heavily exam based, and extra credit can be earned if it is done and if the student works for the grade in the class. The class is heavily composed of lectures and work outside of the class IS required to get a decent grade. Debates are posted on canvas.

A very well respected man and gives a pretty clear grading criteria right off the bat. His class is pretty lecture heavy but if you pay attention to the handouts, textbook, and lectures then you'll be fine. He's a fair grader but doesn't hand out any homework so you really need to study for the tests.

Mr. Femminineo is a very responsible, straight forward professor. The lectures were interesting to sit through and he really explains the material thoroughly. He lets you know exactly whats going to be on the tests which gives you no excuse to do poorly. Overall he's a funny, charismatic guy and makes for an exceptional professor.

I have this class as an 8 am and honestly, it's one of the best classes I've ever taken at Macomb Community College. He doesn't give out any homework and we're only graded on tests but there are a ton of extra credit opportunities. He gives us very good feedback and it's just a fun class overall. I would definitely take this class again.

His political science course is pretty good. Funny sometimes. Could use less FOX news at the beginning of classes. More variety of sources would be great. As long as you know the content, its an easy pass. Lots of extra credit is given.

Though being there is optional I encourage y'all to go. This guy is a great teacher and he has a very great way of explaining things but I think open discussion is important. It's politics so everyone has differing views but that doesnt mean it isnt a safe place to speak. He's overall open minded and I think interacting will help with understanding

He is a very good professor. I like his class a lot. His lecturers are very engaging never boring. He gives a lot of extra credit assignment. His political science and everyone has their own opinion and he always is neutral. I would recommend it to any one taking political science.

I really disliked politics before this course, only took it for the credit. Ended up being one of my favorite classes ever. I couldnt wait to go every time. Learned a lot, but just enjoyed the lectures more than anything. Professor Femminineo is an awesome dude.

He makes it super easy because he gives examples of the real, day to day world. When I would email him, he would answer quickly. You need to come to class though or else you will be lost. Super nice, hilarious, caring. His class is only based on participation & 4 tests including the final. You need to work hard. Extra credit available. Lots of it.

Professor Femminineo was a joy to have I really enjoyed his lectures. By studying his study guides and the chapter terms in the book the class wasn't a struggle to pass. His lectures were funny and informative and I leave his class knowing at least a semesters worth of info I hadn't known before -and I'm certainly now more argumentative at parties.

The class was very enjoyable for me and wasn't as boring as I assumed it would be because of a previous POLS teacher I had. The lectures were interesting and lively with humor in them. The class is very test heavy and make up pretty much your whole grade. However, there are plenty of extra credit opportunities in the class to boost your grade.

This class worked well with my work schedule and was not a whole lot of reading/ work. You just need to manage your time well. He is very understanding and funny and his lectures really aren't that boring he just gets off topic a lot.

I wanted to take this class and thought it would be fun during a general election. Professor F. did not disappoint! He was funny and insightful. Although covid made us use zoom in lieu of class, it was still fun.

Honestly the most chill professor I've had so far. The online class periods weren't mandatory (but were usually pretty interesting anyways) and the classwork was relatively easy. A lot of times the lectures didn't focus on the topics you would need to know for that weeks assignments, but just read the powerpoints/textbook and you'll be fine!

Unfortunately due to covid 19 the class was converted to online. Mr. Jacob kept our lecture entertaining my giving us real life example. He is very knowledgeable and passionate. Hello I was a first time college student walking into his class, and at first I was quite nervous about taking a politics class because I have never been a huge fan of politics. Over time he opened my eyes he brought the world of politics alive and at the end of the day I really enoyed his class and what he had to say.

He is truly an amazing professor that everyone should take. He also care about his student succeeding in his class. You wont regret taking him.

We are only a few days away from the end of the semester, and I could not be happier I took this class with Professor Femminineo. He is such a nice person and he cares a lot about his students. He has a full time job being a Judge, so having him teach this class when he comes home from his full-time job says a lot. TAKE POLS WITH HIM!!!! 20/10

Professor Femminineo consistently gave interesting lectures. This is particularly noteworthy as the class was online due to COVID-19. He was easy to access & maintained a classroom environment, even over zoom. Its obvious he is very knowledgable about the subject & never made the class feel like our questions/ political views were stupid.

Professor Femminineo was overall great throughout the semester. The lectures were super helpful for the quizzes, he went in detail about everything, and the work load of the class was very manageable. If I had any issues at all it would be the lack of a study guide during the midterm and final but this is a rather minor issue.

Attending the class over zoom is very helpful and he always tells us when he is available to talk outside of class. Politics has never been my strong suit but I was able to pass this class by attending mostly every class and doing the assignments on time.

He explained the content well, he seemed really laid back and cool. he added interesting topics and videos

Best in-person professor I have ever had. Quizzes are simple and not set up to confuse you. Discussions are interesting and make you want to do the assignment, a lot of them are opinionated. Hes a delight, hes funny and makes the class interesting. 100% recommend.

I thought of this professor to be very enthusiastic and entertaining for a four hour class. This professor was caring for students by providing many ways to get extra credit when needed. I found this class to be helpful and an easy grade. Take this professor if possible, you will not regret it.

This class was incredibly easy if you listen to the lectures, where you would learn everything needed for the quizzes from them. Extra credit is available and fun. I wish the class examined more sources for news and current events than largely looking at the same show.
