Really enjoyed his class. He is extremely helpful if you tutor with him. I sucked at English but made As on all my papers thanks to his help.

Great professor! funny and cares about the success of his students. Always willing to help. If you follow the assignments on the syllabus and read the readings you will do fine.

I loved his class. Very funny and likes to talk. Makes you think out of the box. Learns students' names and very straight forward on directions. Would take him for 1302 if he taught it. Keep up with your syllabus, and read the assignments, and you will do fantastic! Would defin recommend to anyone.

Prof. Kidd was great. He really made me a better writer. He is funny and makes you think out of the box. He knows his stuff. Liked him so much I am taking 1302 with him. Would recommend to someone who likes a laid back professor that does teach in a fun way. However, he does like to talk ALOT!

Jacob Kidd is the definition of a beatnik. He is a good teacher and is alot of fun. One small grade was dependant on having biblical knowledge. It sounds like BS, but he required me to compare Gregor from "The metamorphosis" to Jesus.

He is a really funny guy, and yesss he is kind of strange but cool. He isn't an easy grader, but is very helpful. It wasn't too hard to make an A.

I loved his class. The lectures are interesting, and he makes the class fun. I learned alot from him. Probably my favorite teacher ever.

So much fun and hilarlious to listen to. I will admit he can be a little harsh at times with his grading, but the class discussions were always fun and interesting!!!

Prof Kidd was an excellent teacher. He illustrasted the literary terms in a very clear weay and as long as you were participating in the discussion there was no completely wrong answer. Even if what you said was not the response he was looking for he never treated you like you had the wrong answer.

Mr. Kidd is a fantastic teacher, I've always been bad at english but he makes class enjoyable and explains everything so clearly. If you participate, take notes, and read what the syllabus says you should make an A. He is hilarious and made me leave school with a smile on my face. Not to mention he's got a sweet beard.

I LOVED THIS CLASS!!! His 1301 class has been my favorite this semester. He was willing to answer any question you had and made sure you understood exactly what the assignment required before making it due. He was really funny so it made class enjoyable and never made a student feel stupid for having a wrong answer. I strongly recommend this prof!

Awesome teacher, by far the best one I've had. His class was very fun and easy. If you do your papers, and read when you are told to, you will pass with ease. I WILL be taking him for 1302.

From what I see from everyone else, he taught a lot of 1301. I'm taking him this semester for 1302 and it's not just a walk in the park like previously stated. He grades a lot harder on essays and is extremely nit-picky about MLA format. In his 2-week absence I got a 0 on an essay for only turning in my paper to the sub and not turnitin.com as well

I LOVE THIS GUY! He's so amazing. His classes seem to go by fast because of how enjoyable they are. He's not a tough grader on the essays or the daily quizzes. I do recommend him for EVERYONE! It's pretty much an easy A-. He's sooooo much fun and never tells you that you're wrong. VERY helpful and funny.

I ADORE professor Kidd! He is a wonderful instructor and I recommend him to everyone as well. He encourages class discussion, and he keeps lectures VERY interesting! He will re-explain something 34 times if that is what it takes to get you to understand it. He is EXTREMELY patient with students! Trust me, GET IN THIS CLASS!!

I adore Professor Kidd! He makes class so interesting and encourages discussion. Class is pretty easy. Gives frequent quizzes but let's you use your notes, easy! He is kinda tough with grading, but will talk to you about anything you need. No tests which is awesome. Just essays, which he's very clear on!

He is a great professor and his class was very interesting. He does grade hard. There are no multiple choice, so you need to have a real good understanding of the theories so that you can explain on paper(TEST) and make sure you take good notes. The test come from the lecture. All in all great and fun class.

But, he tells you everything you need to know and if you are struggling you can go to him. He is more than willing to help his students. I loved his class so much wish I could take him again. he is a great professor, major grades are essay, but he is very helpful. there are a few random quizzes and a project due at the end but by far my favorite professor. i get excited every time i see him because he is just that awesome

Easy class: 4 essays and a final. Essays, the only thing you need to remember is follow his directions to a 'T'. You'll have reading hw and quizzes on it the next class period but you can easily do it an hour before class just skim through the chapter, write down the main points and you're golden (he let's you use notes on the quizzes).

I loved taking his class. If you need help with your paper he will help you. take notes because you can use them on the test. do not forget to turn your paper in on turnitin because you will get 10 points counted off on our paper. he makes the class interesting. and if you need help on your papers go to the writing center for help.

Lots of reading quizzes and 3 essay papers. He grades essays hard but otherwise a fun class

I really liked Professor Kidd at the beginning of the year. Towards the end i really needed help with one of my papers and i felt as if he tried to shoo me out of his office. I went nearly four times and never got any help. I also made A's on AP english essays in high school, but managed to never get above a c on a paper in this class.....

He is awesome. Very clear in what he wants and gives you an outline for every paper. You have to read when required because he will quiz on every reading just about. Grades essays a little harsh, but explains why and what you can work on. He's also pretty funny. If you participate, you're his favorite and he'll cut you more slack.

I took professor Kidd for Philosophy in summer 2 , he is great his lectures are entertaining extra credit reviews before test days super helpful and unlike most , he actually learns your name !

Lots of information for specific tests, all tests are short answer and from lectures, class lectures are interesting, reviews are generic so prepare to study. Good teacher, but difficult subject.

Easy class but tough grader.

The overall classwork and homework wasn't hard but he had us write 4 essays overall. I made an 89 on two of them and then a 67 and 66 on the other two. His grading of essays is pretty tough.

Kidd was awesome with lectures, he made it fun to learn Ethics, also very helpful with anything questions you need, you gotta know your stuff and there's a quiz every day but if you read the small book required for the class and pay attention to previous lectures you could easily get A's, tests are written response but if you study you will pass!

I had him over Summer I. Great professor, and pretty funny. Make sure you read and take notes because you will be quizzed every day. I made an A while taking another class, so it's not ridiculously hard. I wish I would've taken his course during a regular semester, I really enjoyed him.

He provides lectures for you to listen to before quizzes and tests. If you don't listen to them you won't pass. But they are super easy to listen to and take notes over. There is extra credit and it boots your grade. You do have to put in effort to pass the class. Weekly 4-6 question quizzes with 15 minutes, but if you read and listen you're fine.

This class didnt require that much work. You have a lot of quizzes which are open note. The tests are not multiple choice. Overall i liked the class.

The tests are Blue book short answers, so you have to write a lot per question and actually know what you're talking about. The final is scantron however. Great teacher though. The class is a conversation and everyone talks at some point. He'll ask for your opinion. He's good at explaining the topics and complex ideas as well.

Mr. Kidd was a great professor. He is funny and his in class lectures are very interesting. His test are exactly like the review so if you study that you should make an A.

Took Kidd two semesters ago and don't feel these ratings add up. The tests are written, but that doesn't make them impossible as the answers are literally in the powerpoints which he lets you take pictures of. Kidd knows his stuff and if you think slop answers will get you by they won't! made a 96 overall so no complaints would take again.

Jacob Kidd was a great professor! I had him for Phil 2306 doing the 8 week course and only attended his class online. He always gets back to you on e-mails, grades and puts them in quickly, and gave three opportunities of extra credit. Always a dicussion post due on Saturday but they are super short and easy and he gives 100 on those.

Prof. Kidd is so fun!! His lectures are thoroughly explained really well and makes it easy to apply ethical theories in real life. Workload isn't too heavy if you pay attention and he's always willing to help but when you ask questions, I'd say you gotta be very specific so you get the answer you need.

It's so easy to pay attention because his teaching style is very humorous and lively! The material is overall easy to learn. Every exam, except the final, are short answers though so make sure you spend your time wisely! He kept the lectures very organized with power points so you get great notes! 10/10 recommend Professor Kidd!

Professor Kidd is honestly a really good professor!! He cares about his students and is always ready to help. Hes funny so lectures arent boring and he doesnt give out a work load of homework so that was awesome.

This class was hard but he did a great job teaching it! there is paper and group project which are fairly simple and really help your grade, test are written so u need to understand info, no homework other than notes & assigned readings, responds to emails quickly, very funny and keeps you engaged in class, offers extra credit. 10/10 recommend!

Only take this class if you are willing to put the work in. Pay attention in class. Class is overall easy if you study and read all the material he gives. Quizzes are online and open note. Exams are all sentence answers - no multiple-choice so know your stuff. Gives out study guide powerpoints for exams - study them! Those questions will be on exam

Mr. Kidd is by far the funniest professor I have taken. His lectures are never boring and the material that he teaches for his class is actually interesting. I was a little afraid to take him because of the negative reviews but I can say I dont regret it. If you do take his class make sure you participate and takes notes on his lectures.

I was scared at first to take this prof when I saw how awful his reviews are. But I really liked him and I'm taking him again in the spring. He is highly entertaining and his lectures are never boring. GO TO CLASS. Almost nothing is online. Follow his instructions on how to write the papers, take advantage of extra credit, and you'll be fine!
