I got an A in this calculus 2 class, but it was HARD. You have to work your rear end off. His homework problems are extremely difficult. Go to office hours and he will help you, but it takes a while because he frequently guesses along the way until he gets it right. His quizzes come directly from the practice problems he gives. Try googling it.

Really good teacher overall. Just some difficult problems, but answers all your questions. Might have to ask a lot of them. Not really easy, but then its Calc 2... so it really shouldn't be unless you catch on real quick. Either way, the professor is generous and helps a lot.

I have take Lehavi before and she is a better teacher when it comes to teaching however she gives you a LOT of homework. Veiga on the other hand does not teach as well, but his class is much easier because he doesn't leave too much homework. If you want an A take him, but if you want to learn Calc take Lehavi but most likely get a C.

He is a terrible teacher. Simply can NOT teach. His tests are not reflective of lectures. He does one example of one subject and gives three different examples of that subject on the test. He tries to account for that by curving grades if he likes his class. Just try to be above the 75th percentile in the class and you'll get a B+ or an A w/ curve

I was nervous taking Math 134 after being out of school for almost 10 years, but Professor Veiga was awesome at explaining the material in a way I could understand. He was very helpful answering homework questions, and was easy to approach. Will definitely try to take another class with him in the future.

Thorough with lectures and explains concepts in a very easy to understand manner. Is very punctual, yet does not harp on you if you aren't. Provides extensions without issue if you give him a reason and will make small talk in class when he sets aside time for individual work. The homework is extremely light so long as you do the work in class.

Took this class during winter and probs the best time I have spent in a math class. He's super laid back and taught the subject well. Was willing to work with you if an assignment was missed. Is structured with note packets done in class with practice problems, homework, and textbook through Webassign (may change) and daily quizzes on canvas.

I remember once I had to wait 45 minutes to ask my questions cause that's how devoted he was to help the previous student. Practice exams also model actual exams.

He weighs the handouts and homework heavily, you've got to do it or you're not passing. That said, his tests are much easier than his homework so it works out.

This was the fourth time I have taken Calc 1 Math 261, and he is by far one of the best math professors i have taken. He creates his own class packets for every section with in class lecture problems and hw problems that are very similar to the in class problems. You must submit the class packets as well as online hw, but he makes it very easy.

This professor gives no opportunity to impove your grade. He doesn't curve or give any extra credit at all. He messes up a lot in class and doesn't know what he is doing. Test will be a large portion of your grade! He does give practice test however it doesn't really help much as the difficultly of his exams are way harder than the HW and practice.

For teaching calc 1 in five weeks, he did pretty good. Practice exams were mostly like actual exam. Short term meant daily hw and quizzes, and weekly exams so take summer if you have time. Offered a bit of extra and dropped lowest 2 quiz scores. Exams are weighed heavily but if you do all the hw, worksheets and study, you'll be fine.
