Hippy teacher, I had a lot of fun in her class. Didn't mind showing up. She graded me easy, she always talked about fun jibber jabber. Really laid back, easy to talk to her. Easy to negotiate with.

I highly reccomend to take her classes. Follow her instructions and you will be fine. If you try hard, you will get "A". I got "B" in her class, beacuse not always followed what she said

Very nice person! And EXTREMELY helpful outside of class....she grades essays harder than most other teachers but only because if you see her during office hours, she will tell you EXACTLY what she looks for in an essay and will help you with your own paper. Very fun to talk to.

Funny to talk to, she does stray off topic in class though. Grades fairly hard on the essays, so make sure you UNDERSTAND the assignment!

The class is not a typical class at all and is based on participation. You get so much out of the class! However she cancels class frequently and sometimes can ignore students she feels like is not worth paying attention to. But overall she is very nice and the class was very interesting.

classes where interesting, she can get off topic really easily! just make sure you stick to the prompt for the essays and you'll do great! she likes short to the point, and a lot of compairing/contrast -just a little tip :)-

Very nice, very friendly. Easy course, almost all multiple choice tests with easy answers. Fun to listen to, and not boring at all.

Dr. Caver is GREAT!!!! She is a wonderful teacher, her class is fun to go to, her tests are easy, and it's not a boring class at all! If you keep up with the readings (which are not a lot), go to class especially on Fridays, listen and take notes...you'll get an A on every test!

I think Professor Caver is a great teacher. She made it interesting with stories. I don't think I've ever laughed so much in a college course. She made it clear what was going on and her tests weren't tricky. All I did was show up to class and pay attention, and I got an A.

I think she's a quirky lady with a lot of character, who's obsessed with Bob Dylan. I have to say I enjoyed her class very much.

Professor Caver is such a great teacher. I liked her so much I took a class with her again this year. Although her class is not an "easy A" like most people are looking for, if you actually do the work that is assigned and pay attention in class you will do great. She is so helpful when you need it and it doesn't hurt to get involved in class! :)

I thought Dr. Caver was a great teacher, she was very clear in all of the information provided. She prepares you for the test and her tests are straight forward. She made the class interesting to go to, I never once dozed off in her class. As long as you go to class and read the material you will get an A. She a good teacher, take her!!

Absolutely EASY A. She is very opionated-I dissagree with her views 100%-but she isn't biased in her grading or anything. She does take a while to post the grades back up. But she is a great teacher-her lecture format is perfect.

Dr. Caver was an amazing teacher. I only took this course because it was required as a core class, but her's ended up being the class I looked forward to the most. Just go to class and read the assignments and you will have an easy A. She is very straightforward in her expectations and helps you acheive them.

i love dr caver...she was my best teacher last semester with the biggest heart. i really think she cares more about her students than herself and those are the best teachers. class was really interesting too.

Very easy tests. All from the notes and assigned readings. She is pretty cool and her lectures are actually enjoyable making it easy to attend for notes. Covers some interesting works.

took contemporary english with her, she is a hippie and is really cool, you hardly have to read anything but still need to for test, go to class and she will explain most of the readings

She's definitely a fun teacher if you show up to class and know your material. She's extremely opinionated and hates it when students ask questions to which they can find an answer by themselves. She can come across as rude on WebCT as she can be really sarcastic. She also knows that this class is for non-english majors so she makes it easy!

Not a class you want to miss unless you know somebody that takes good notes. Her test comes from readings and lectures. She is willing to clarify information. Likes class participation.

Great instructor, do yourself a favor and don't ask a question to which you can find the answer on your own. If you don't like Dr. Caver then you must be a lazy head. Intro. to Lit., great class, better teacher.

Dr. Caver is nuts! Class was boring but what else would you expect? I would read the material before the test and I got a B in the class. I hate literature, but I took her because I read that she was easy... and she is. I'm sure if you care more about this class than I did, you should be able to get an A. I recommend this teacher to everyone.

If you do the reading and come to class you will do VERY well w/ Caver. She's VERY straight forward about what you'll need to know for exams. Her quirkiness and sense of humor made the class enjoyable for me. Also, her opinions and stress on historical context encouraged me to see our reading in a new, intersting light. I recommend...

Class was a breeze. Caver was prone to get off topic and rant. Wasted time going over common sense university policy. All you have to do is read the text and take the test. Some of the test questions were too specific considering how long some of the stories/poems were. Take the class though, easy A.

She inspired me to read for fun. She is so interesting and funny when explaining concepts so it's really easy to understand her. This was the only class I had on Friday and I always went because I wanted to, and no, I am no over achiever. She's hilarious, I learned so many life lessons from her.

Professor Cavor is an awesome teacher. Her class is very easy if you go to class and study before the tests. You definitely must read the material given, and know your key terms very well that's the only way you'll pass. She's really funny and keeps her class interesting. I definitely suggest that anyone takes her. It will be worth it.

Dr. Caver is a little bit crazy at times but nice too... Don't ask stupid questions and don't ask what the homework was. Just read the the material and be prepared for class. She is a lot of fun if you stay on her good side. Just do your work! It's not that hard! She likes people who talk about their opinions... she is VERY opinionated& interesting

Dr. Caver is the best teacher I've ever had. Everyone that says different must be stuck up and bitter because she is the chillest teacher. She makes you want to go to class and her lectures are fun and entertaining and very helpful. You have to read before every class but it's short and easy. I am usually a slacker and she has changed my ways.

I loved this professor! She can seem a bit off sometimes but it makes the class fun. Easy class, studied less than an hour for each test and got an A. Bring your book to class everyday.

Dr. Caver, is truely different. She does tend to ramble at times but the stories in the lit book have really insightful information. Her tests are really easy- basically definitions and overall concepts. I def. recommend taking her. Probably the easiest professor you will take. I made an easy A.

Though a little cooky, she was nice. Literature is not at all my thing, but this class was definitely bearable. Just keep up w/the syllabus and her notes and you will do fine. Use spark notes if you get lost. Easy A or B.

Pro Caver is a very upfront professor she is kind hearted but definitely not a push over. As long as you follow the syllabus (which is very simple) and you will do fine. The tests are easy. I would highly recommend her.

Dr Caver is the most passionate professor I have ever encountered. She has a genuine passion for the material and knows what she is talking about. All you need to do is the minimal reading that she assigns and attend class regularly. Dr. Caver is a one of a kind professor, and I could not suggest to you more that you enroll in her class ASAP!

Doctor Caver is an amazing professor. I have nothing but praises for her teaching styles as well as her sense of humor. She does not teach poetry using Shakespeare, instead she uses Bob Dylan lyrics, which are more entertaining and easier to understand. I wish she taught more courses so as to have the privilege of taking her class again.

Very easy class just do the readings which arent long. and go to class EVERY day and u can make an easy A or B. although, she's rude, and makes u feel stupid when u ask questions sometimes. she tried with me... but i punked her real quick. lol, but most people end up looking dumb. FYI.

She reminds me of a favorite Aunt that loves to read. Her stories are cute and her teaching style is different. I would definately take her again!

Just do the readings before class, (which are short) and study for her tests (which are very straight forward) it's an easy A. Class attendance isn't mandatory, but it helps. No extra credit but she does drop your lowest test grade.

Stupid lady gave my a final grade of "B", in the class with an 89!!! she would not round up! and is very rude.

This teacher was amazing. I had her Fall 2009 & she was super sweet. She genuinely knows what she's teaching and has a great personality. If you read everything and go to class, you'll get an A. Tests are simple & with your HS education you should know the terms tested on. The only other advice I'll give is do NOT ask stupid questions! TAKE HER!!

Her class is fairly simple. The majority of it covers things that I learned back in high school. She has a tendency to cancel class a lot, and when she does show up, she is typically late. Tests aren't difficult, they just require a knowledge of the required readings. Overall, a good professor. I would recommend her.

Took her for ENG 2013 (Intro to Lit) during the Summer term. Grades were based on 5 Exams, she drops the lowest, 25% each. Exams covered the lecture material and assigned readings. Overall class was pretty interesting and I learned more about the subject. She loves Bob Dylan. I would recommend taking her class.

She is very straightforward- she puts outlines on Blackboard and if your read and pay attention you'll get an A. I would recommend her- it's easy but it's not a blow off class- you do have to attend and read (I never studied for a test but I went to every class and read and I have an A). She's funny too- I mean who else would teach about Bob Dylan?

Average class. Follow outlines and readings and expect a high grade. Review sessions are REALLY helpful.Class seems pointless but good to go to and stay informed.It was hard not to doze off or zone out because she jumps from one subject to another.

Not that hard of a class, must have book. She can be fun and likes to go off on tangents, but material and tests are easy if you follow review guidlines.

Very easy class. No essays and good test revs. Can be hard to sit through class, and she sometimes criticizes students. Just listen to what she says about lit. Avoid repeating anything she says about life lessons or "facts" unless you want to look stupid. ex, "there is no word in English for man hater." word is Misandry

She is a pretty good professor. Most of the class relies on the book, so it's not always 100% necessary to go to class as long as you do the reading and understand. She does go off on tangents all the time- sometimes it's interesting but sometimes it's annoying. She's very funny and has good stories. I'd recommend taking her.

Love this lady! She is hilarious! Lectures were so interesting, even when we were on topic! The stories we read in class were actually good. I learned so much in this class, and I thought originally it was going to be boring. You have to read when she tells you to, and read the stories more than once. Participate in class as well!
