Boring lectures, hard tests. Not recommended.
i think shes great!
I took her lab and i think she's great she goes out of her way to explain things and makes things really easy to remember and her quizzes were easy and she always has bonuses to help bring your grades up. She'll work with you the whole way.
Very, very, very unhelpful!! Gives too much information and 99% of it is not on test. Plus she doesn't give reviews or answer questions so its very hard to study!!
pretty easy class
Professor Conrad was okay at first, but if you're one of those students who think the professor will tell you what will be on the test, then she's not for you. All she does is tell you to read chapter...So, expect to study chapters 1 through 4, when half the material isn't on the test.
Great Professor...Expect to work for your grade
She is very nice, helpful, clear, passionate, approchable and easy going, she is miserly in awarding marks butyou need to work hard to earn your marks
very helpful.Gives extra credit quizes and will sit with u during office hours to help u. Very clear and patient.
As you can see I've taken her 2 times, because you really learn and understand. As far as tests, yes you have to study ALOT!, but that's part of college. her tests are fair and everything on her tests has been covered in class, you must attend classes. Also she emails her exact power points, so you only write little hints, and stuff she explain
Conrad is great as a teacher, however some think she doesn't teach well NOT!! The problem is that you do have to study everything, but if you want in medicine or nursing don't you have to anyways. Everything on the test is not a surprise always covered. Got a B in BSC1086 and an A in Micro and I have kids so if I could you can.
The quizzes are easy since its only vocab. But she goes to fast in the lectures. The only good thing about it is that she emails you the outlines for each chapter so you dont have to write alot of notes. But its like the 3 week of school and we are already on chapter 3! She def. goes too fast.
I have taken ger BSC186 class. she is very easy going. Obvisiouly, she has to cover alo of portions though. I got an easy A. she gives away a lot of extra credits. Well, I would highly reccomend her for Anatomy & physiology.
conrad is one of the best professors at bcc. she definitely knows what she's talking about. she does go over the material fast, but she is a really good teacher. take her if you want a good anatomy teacher
Fairly easy teacher, as long as you go to class and study the notes. Your class grade isn't just based on exams, we had 4 exams, 4 quizzes (based on chapter vocab), and lots of extra credit online quizzes. She even lets you drop your worst quiz grade and allows you to retake your worst test grade at the end of the semester!
Altough she's tough, she is the best teacher on south campus and a real college professor. You do need to study everything, she doesn't give reviews. The extra credit is awesome, you can raise your grade.
Dr.Conrad is very wide in her subject but it is garanteed that when you get into the working world you will be very knowledgable
Dr. Conrad is a nice lady, however I think she's extremely hard!! Too much information in her lecture notes!! I passed with an "A" but I've never studied so hard in my life, and yet I don't feel I learned much.
Very fair and helpful. There are no suprises on her tests if you study her notes and everything she tells you to do such as online materials etc. Highly recommend her. I took BSC1011 with her and both labs. Very good teacher.
Very articulate, speaks loud and clear. Very fair testing. Prepares you well for what will be on the exams.
she is overall a good teacher. I had her for lab and she is willing to stay and help you with anything you need. Even though she had to rush through the material her quizzes are not hard just as long as you pay attention in class
I got an "A" in both BSC1085 & 1086. The class is hard, what do you expect it's Anatomy. Don't blame the professor, I think she did a good job in teaching it. There WILL be a lot of notes & it's not the kinda thing you want to cram so give yourself plenty of time to study. Dont just memorize, understanding is the key! Good luck!
WOW! She lectures a CHAPTER PER CLASS! *class being 1hr 15mins!!* she is so hard, if you have a life and dont want to study every second of the entire semester, then i would recommend this class to you. She is very hard, and not too helpful. I didnt enjoy her class at all. I wouldnt take her ever again.
Very hard class, the quizes were easy but the Test were extremely hard, its too much material and you do not know what she'll put on test. Be Prepared to have no life while taking this class!!!
Doctor Conrad is very passionate about A&P, If ure not, you may not enjoy the class at all. You need to study every day to keep up, she goes very fast. But she tells you EXACTLY What will be on the test. Her power point notes are very helpful, She's open to questions but you need to know what your talking about to understand her answer. Take her!!
good teacher. however, tests are difficult.
Dr. Conrad is an excellent teacher. Fear. But one has to study hard in order to pass her class.
IF YOU PLAN ON TAKING CONRAD ABANDON YOUR LIFE, YOU WILL HAVE NO LIFE IN THIS CLASS, THE TEST ARE HARD, THE NOTE OUTLINES ARE CONFUSING AND THE LECTURE WAS BORING
Must read, study, and do assignments. She doesn't like answering questions you would already know if you read the chapter. Extra credit is easy and makes a difference in your grade. Quizzes are easy but tests are hard. I would take a class with her again.
She is by far the most helpful teacher i have yet had at bcc South campus she is halpful in any way that she can be lets you stay after class to look over the models she gives lots of hints as far as the midterm and final goes helps alot would recommend to anyone taking her for microbiology
Professor Conrad is an excellent teacher, she knows the material, she even have fun when teaching it. i love the clicker questions because it keeps you awake, her class is not hard, but you have to study everything, which is great. hey guys out there remember you will be dealing with human life. take Dr.Conrad you will let you know A&P inside out
Prof. Conrad was great. She really knows her stuff and it comes through in her lectures. Her test are a little difficult but learning the functions of the body are complex. I recommend her to any student willing to learn. I WILL NEVER FORGET WHAT SHE TAUGHT ME.
I did 1085&86 w/ her SUMMER TERM. U R looking at your face in the books and on the website ALL SUMMER. Take notes, STUDY HARD, DON'T FALL BEHIND. and you should b fine. I should have gotten an A if I took my own advice but procrastination & parties got the best of me. GOOD TEACHER, CLICKER POINTS (XtraCred), and 1 test retake. Summer 07'
CONRAD WAS NOT A GREAT TEACHER. I TOOK HER TO ANATONOMY LAB SHE DIDNT EVEN TEACH ANYTHING. SHE JUST LET US DO EVEYTHING BY OURSELVES AND WHEN YOU ASKED A QUESTION SHE WOULD GET UPSET. STUDY,STUDY STUDY ONCE YOU MISS SOMETHING ITS ALL DOWN HILL FROM THERE.
you do not need to take notes coz she will give u an outline about all the things u need 2 do and she gives extra points...she is also nce and the quizes and exams are easy... pick her...you wont regret it...
Great Teacher!!!! She really knows her material. Her test are difficult. All her Quizzes come directly from the website. which make up for her difficult test. Take a lot of notes!!!!!
She is an awesome teacher! Her tests can be hard, but if you read the questions carefully, then they aren't a problem. Her lab is way fun, she really knows her stuff, and loves teaching it.
Conrad is an AWESOME teacher. She is one who knows her stuff. If you study the oulines, use the book along with it and do what she tells you to do you will be fine. Just like me. I got an EXECELLENT grade.
Conrad is not a good teacher, she is extremely difficult and clearly has her favorites in the class. She will not answer questions and will not give u a test review. She tells u only to read the chapters and then she gives u the test. Don't waste ur money and time!!!!
This professor is very hard. Her test extremely hard . She doesn't review before her test. she gets bother when you ask questions.I would not recommend her to anyone.
Great teacher. You need to study because test are not easy but she gives outlines and you learn.
Dr. Conrad is a great professor! Yes, the class IS hard, but if you put in the time to study you will do fine. You will learn and understand the subject matter in this class. If you want a cake class, don't take this one.
Great teacher, she really knows her stuff, but you do need to study because her test are challenging. Im taking her again for micro in fall
Dr. Conrad is a high class teacher. She knows her stuff and she likes knowing you know it. Don't be scared away. The material is tough, but she is not. She is extremely helpful and is available for every question. If she seems hard, it's because you're messing up somewhere; don't blame it on her. I had her only for micro lab. Well worth my time.
Dr. Conrad knows the material and does a good job at imparting it. I learnt a lot taking micro and I studied and did way better than I expected. Thank you Dr. Conrad
Dr. Conrad is an excellente teacher. I agree the class is hard, but if you study seriously for sure you get an A. I did it. You can do it too.
Dr. Conrad is a great professor and lady. The content is difficult, but she is very helpful and always available to talk to. Five tests (no midterm or final). Study hard and go to class to answer the class clicker questions. They can earn you tons of extra credit. Plus she has bonus questions on every test. Take her if you want an A++ professor.
There's a lot of professors that write their own comments to keep up with the "real" comments that students write...this is one of them. I know this because in almost all of the "good" reviews, they say, " She really knows her stuff..." BE WARY OF THIS TEACHER. SHE IS SO DIFFICULT!
A nightmare!!!!!!
Dr. Conrad is by far the perfect example of a great College Professor! Chances are that if you take Dr. Conrad's class, then you want to enter the medical field. These nonsense comments of her not preparing you for exams are nothing short of bs. We are all adults and plan on taking very good care of our patient's one day. Get over it!!! Study!!!
I was her student for both bsc1085 and mcb2010. She is a GREAT teacher and you really learn in her class. Yes she is hard but HELLO you are in college and an adult it only gets harder as you advance. Her exams and grading is very fair. In A&P she gave extra points by clicker questions and in Micro its case studys. They help boost your grade up.
Study her notes and read text will do well. She is very knowledgeable.
Great professor!! Her class is challenging, but as long as you study hard, you will do great. She made micro interesting, and fun. I am happy I took her class, and I really learned alot.
She really knows her stuff! The class it self is not easy, you have to study or you will not pass! study groups really help! also the quizes on the website could be some test questions. You get 4 exams after the 3rd one she lets you retake any of the 3. The retake is alot easier than the real test, just more fill in the blanks. You really learn her
I LOVE THIS TEACHER. Dr. Conrad is the best. She's not the easiest teacher, but she know her stuff and she teaches so clear. Her test are not easy, you just have to study exactly what she told you to study and trust me you will definately get a A in her class. I wish if she was teach Microbiology for the summer. KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB,DR. CONRAD
IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER OPTION I SUGGEST YOU GO WITH THAT SHE IS A NICE LADY I PASSED WITH A B BUT HER TEST ARE EXTREMELY HARD AND SHE GIVES NO TEST REVIEWS IM ON THE DEANS LIST AND BEEN FOR THE PAST SIX MONTH I STUDY AND READ ALL HER NOTES STILL DIDNT GET A A+ MY SUGGESTION DR RUIZ HE IS THE BEST TOOK HIM FOR LAB MADE EVERYTHING SUPER CLEAR
DR Conrad is very knowledgeable and helpful instructor. She will answer any question you will ask her in class with great clarity. You will need to study for her tests, they are not easy but you cannot expect less if you going into medical field!
I took Dr. Conrad for BSC1085 and 1086 lecture and lab and got all A's. She is very thorough. Her tests are easy.Follow her outline along with the textbook and study. She is a fair teacher and please don't be afraid to ask her questions and most of all be respectful; she likes that.
PROF CONRAD GIVE YOU HERE OWN NOTES ,YOU STUDY ALL HER NOTES AND THEN SHE GIVES YOU SOMETHING FROM THE BOOK . PLEASE CONSIDER ALL OPTIONS BEFORE TAKING HER CLASS , NO ONE RECIEVED HIGHE THAN A C IN OUR CLASS ,
She was by far easier than the comments here. Her test are super easy STUDY HER OUTLINES bottom line u will pass have to STUDY she gives 4 test 3 to 4 ques bonus clicker questions EVERYDAY MUST DO once u reach the 100 in clcker they become extra cred I got an A in the summer so anyone can just STUDY I wouldnt take her for LAB big on spelling correc
This professor is great! Just study her outlines and you will learn and be able to get all A's. I got an A in her class and she was far better than the professor I am taking for 1086. She is great. Don't be discouraged by the negative comments. Everyone I know in my class over the summer got an A. Great lady she will teach you!
very good professor but you have to study her powerpoints. you can only fall by not taking her class seriously. stay focus on the start of class and you can pass with an "A". I have a "C" but that was my fault, I could have done better if I had started taking her class seriously from the beginning.
very sloppy, but knows her stuff.
Dr. Conrad is a very good professor, her teaching style is of very high standard, therefore studying is not optional. She prepares her students not only to pass exams for for any branch of medical field which is challenging. Guys As are good but having a full understanding of the material is of great importance. THANK YOU DR CONRAD. God Bless.
i am taking her now and she said that its fare game, no review, have ti read book and notes. her notes are over whelming how aer you all saying that she is an easy A with no review and she goes over everything... and fare game..
Ok..Here it is. Prof Conrad is a great and excellent prof. However, she is tough! If you want the experience of what being in the medical field is like take her. If not, then she's not for u. Spelling is huge for her. She is overwhelming but she believes that her students can do it. So far he lab is ok. Good luck!
She's the Best thing since sliced bread. Shes straight up & honest her test come from lecture and powerpoints tht she sends to you (very generously). Dr. Conrad, (plz call her DR.), loves her Job or at least her subject and you can tell by how clearly she understands it. She can explain it back to you without a stutter. i wish she were my Doc.
I had her for A&P Lecture she's not an easy grader her test are difficult and you do have to study, you have to know your stuff in order to pass her class. She's very helpful and knows her stuff. Over all a good teacher.
My fav professor! She goes beyond what is required. Just stay focused and ask questions!
She was amazing! She will help you with whatever you need extensive explanations on. 4 tests and she allows you to make one up or re-take one at the end where she will drop the lower grade. This is a tough class and you WILL need to study, but it's worth it for nursing because you HAVE to know the material anyway, so might as well learn it now.
This lady is HORRIBLE! I had her for lab. I had to audit the class because I couldn't get a defined answer about ANYTHING. She handed out a piece of paper with 200+ terms on it. We were expected to know ALL terms for a 10 question test! Many people failed her class! She is a VETERINARIAN TRYING TO HUMAN ANATOMY! and not doing a good job at it!
If you want to learn take her, if you want an easy A dont bother taking anatomy Professor conrad is one of the few good anatomy teachers, her tests are hard bt what ever she lectures are what is exactly on her test. There are only 4 test I failed the first test and still managed with a "B" in her class she also gives clicker questions at the begini
Took her for Micro lab. Everything i learned from microbilogy i learned it from her class. She is tough but her teaching style and tests actually make you learn the material...not just memorize and brain dump
great teacher just pay attention in class and you will pass the test with minimal study time. attendance isnt mandatory but you should go if you wanna get credit for the clicker questions that in the end can really help you out
Had Prof. Conrad years ago for micro and A&P 1...she was so passionate about the subjects and was so willing and eager to help students. I highly recommend her! Her class was hard but if you study and attend class you should be fine.
Great professor, she is tough, but if you study you'll be fine, studying is the main thing! Her clicker questions help, its a few points a day. Her 4 test were fair, they were straight to the point, no tricky questions and she gives bonus questions! She grades based on a point scale which is much better! She WILL prepare you for the medical field!
Excellent Prof. absolutely loved her class. Very engaging, awesome lecture. Will not say an easy class, tough, but if you study and learn the material, which in her class you actually do..You should do fine. Her classes fill up quick!
Great professor. What the others say is probably because they were lazy. She teaches the material very well and will help u to understand. Her exams are straight from the notes so failing would be because of u
After Anatomy 1 enough is enough. She's not all that fun anymore. STUDY,STUDY,STUDY! I recommend taking her for the summer, its much more general and they don't cover all the info they usually do during a full semester. You'll do much better in the summer. Don't even bother with the book, her notes cover exactly what you need to know!
mcb2010 lab soooooooo easy what really counts are your lab reports. quizzes are easy read ahead. midterm and final are always hard. but nice lady fun class.
Took her for Micro Lecture and Lab. Lecture was easier than lab. It is important to record her lecture notes. As long as you study the notes (I used flashcards) you can get an A. The lab is extremely time consuming for 1 credit. Pick out 3 lab partners before 1st class and sit with them. Whoever you sit with the first day of lab u are stuck with.
Dr. Conrad is extremely smart and knows her material, and that is what makes the class fun. Study! Read, outline, and know your stuff. I took her for all sciences and feel very prepared as a result. Her lectures are awesome and she knows the material through and through.
Terrible experience with this professor, she lacks of pedagogy, turns off the light in class because she always uses her power points, and she repeats the same of there, she enjoys when you obtain a bad grade, she is not friendly person, she is tricky in her test, never help student, and her extra bonus are more difficult than the questions' test.
TOOK HER FOR HUMAN ANATOMY AND PHY LECTURE...NEVER AGAIN. HARDEST CLASS EVER. YOU WANT TO FAIL, BE MY GUEST, SHE'LL ENJOY THE TORTURE IT BRINGS YOU. GOOD LUCK
Let me break it down for you: does no reviews for her tests what so ever, bring your clicker cus its ur attendance, 35multiple choice and 40pts short answer on exams. Test are based on 3-4 chpts, each chpt outlines are about 9-13pages long. Dnt take her if ur shooting for an A or a B. She is flipping tough. Plus she doesnt really care much.
took her 4 the summer.she was the worst.she goes over the material once.she doesnt give reviews.theres 4 tests which consist of 4-5 chpts.each chpter is 10 pages long.she reads str8 4rm powerpoints.i got an "F" in her class.i cried like a baby.i never got an F in my whole life.RUN THE OTHER WAY.DO NOT TAKE HER
Awesome professor. The class takes effort but you learn so much! Detail oriented so learn everything!
Passionate professor who really loves this subject. You will have to learn alot of material but it is possible to get an A! Don't ignore the small stuff..it shows up on tests!
Wonderful professor. Not an easy A. Her tests aren't easy, but they aren't difficult either. Attendance counts. You lose points for tardiness. You can tell she loves teaching and the subject matter. Very helpful and always in a good mood. Of course some teachers have easier tests. But can they teach? Take Conrad if you want to LEARN.
Did not enjoy taking this professor not one bit! She goes way to fast!! Don't take her unless you want to fail!
nice lady but her class is very hard, those not give you a break on anyything
This professor knows her stuff. Just study from the handouts. You'll notice they have exactly what is in the textbook. She's a fair teacher. If you don't like to study, please don't take her class. Her lectures are based on what is in her notes, so does her tests. There's a lot to take in, but just study the materials and you'll get an A.
I took her because she substituted for my A&P lab professor. She was very helpful and informative. However, once I took her for Micro, I was very disappointed. There is no direction as to what you must study for her tests. I took her for micro lab as well. BIG mistake. She is uses an answer key to grade questions that are based on your opinion.
Rude. Condescending. Downright disrespectful. She believes that she is the gatekeeper for the Nursing Program. She often states that if you do not make it in her class, "you will never make it in the Nursing Program." She is very abrupt and impersonal. When students ask her questions, she raises her voice. I would never recommend her to anyone.
Reads off powerpoints. Test are 4/5 chapters long. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Dr. Conrads lectures are the same as the printouts. However, her exams are 4-5 chapters at 1 time, without any study guides to focus on. It's difficult to learn in that manner. No extra credit given to improve your knowledge or gain points(would be helpful). Open book for 15mis would have helped since its 5 chpts combined. Good luck to you!!
I had her at 8:00 and fell asleep most of the time. She reads directly from the power points but attendance is mandatory. Study and you will pass but the tests cover alot of material (3-5 chapters)I recommend trying to find a more exciting teacher
Tests are 1/2 multiple choice 1/2 short answer. If you don't state your answers exactly how she wants it, you don't get the full credit. You can get every question right and still not get an 'A'. If you're seconds late, you lose clicker points. Very snotty attitude. If you have to take Micro, I suggest go to Central Campus.
Got an A in lab: lowest u can get in her quizes is a 7, lab reports MUST score 10-8, practicals lowest is a 80. She IS TOUGH. If Ur dedicated to her lab u will get a good grade. I'm a student who doesn't work and took osterhoudt for lecture along w AP2 AP2L. Dnt take this class if Ur not willing to study. Read Ur labs b4 class n get in a good table
90% of the lab reports require a lot of thinking. The answers are not in the book or on the internet so you have to use critical thinking skills. They take hours to complete. Conrad is a VERY hard grader with these reports and they are worth the majority of your grade. Also, she is very impatient and sarcastic in lab. Wouldn't recommend.
She's a good professor. Take her class only if you're ready to study really hard. She always says in order to pass her class you must study a&p at least 2 hrs a day outside of the regular class time and that's definitely true.
Take this class only if you WILL study VERY hard and you're looking for a challenge. You must study and know the material very well in order to pass her tests. Each test is about 3-4 chapters long. There's almost not enough time to study all the materials specially if you're taking other demanding courses. Attendance is mandatory. I recommend!
Dr. Conrad's grading is fair. The lab reports can be hard sometimes but, you don't have to do the critical thinking questions; that's extra credit.I did all the science subjects with her and got all A's.If you are lazy, this class is not for you.The quizzes are based on what is in the lab book. The questions are crystal clear.Ignore the neg. comments.
This is not an easy A. You have to study study study literally everyday to pass this class. She's very helpful. She goes over the test with you and also gives extra credit.
I took her for Anatomy 1 and she was not easy. I was not only taking A&P1 and A&P1 Lab, I was also in the McFatter LPN program in Block 2(Med-Surg/Pharmacology). Yes, I do agree she is difficult but her class is NOT impossible to pass. Happy to say I passed her class and graduated McFatter as well! =]
sHE IS A VERY GOOD PROFESSOR YES YOU MUST STUDY BUT IF YOU DO THEN YOU WILL PASS HER TEST EASILY.. I WOULD DEF TAKE HER AGAIN. SHE GIVES EXTRA CREDIT AND CONNECT IS EASY TAKE HER IF YOU ARE WILLING TO STUDY SHE IS HELPFUL YOU JUST HAVE TO ASK QUESTIONS.
Oh wow.... she is sweetheart. The subject itself is hard, but she helps you understand it. You really have to study. I am telling you........you really have to study. Pay attention to small details.
Great professor , you will pass her class if you study every single detail she stated in class. Record her class!!!! YOU will pass if you study!!!! love her lectures!!1 best Professor.
She is an incredible professor!! any negative comments are 100% by people who failed by their own mistakes made!she moves quick on her lectures but will definitely include all that it on her exams. highly recommend recording her lectures. show up to every course and study her recommended 6-12 hours a week and you should have no prob getting an A/B.
This instructor is one of the best that I have ever had. It's definitely not an easy course but you will learn a great deal of useful information (especially if you're going into the medical field). She is very interesting and has a vast amount of knowledge. Read the text book and powerpoints. Exams are not too difficult but you do need to study.
D. Conrad is the most fair professor you will come across at BC. She is extremely helpful and is always willing to offer extra points for students who need it. She also makes sure that you understand. I didn't pass the lecture portion to the class, but taking her again will be best for those reasons. She's beyond amazing!! Take her for Microbiology
Dr.Conrad is wonderful.Explains clearly. You must study but it pays off.her tests are fair game.Gives a lot of extra credit.I left her class knowing Anatomy inside out.I enjoyed her class. Dedication that what matters in this class.got 105% in her class overall. She also lets you retake one of the tests. RECORD HER LECTURES!I will take her again :)
I love Prof. Conrad!! She is very helpful and give loads of extra credit and its easy extra credit like labeling and coloring. She gave us an quiz every week but its usually the material you covered the week before. Her exams are fill in's but she prepares you and of course you're own studying for it. It may be intimidating but its passable.
She is an AMAZING professor. I took her for micro lab and lecture and I was a bit nervous becasue of the horror stories I read on here but I'm so glad I took her. I learned so much and she teaches in a way that makes you understand. Print her outlines and take notes off of them and you should be fine. She gives allot of extra credit.
Best professor ever, I absolutely love her method of teaching, she is a true example of a model educator. She inspired me to learn, I wish I had her for every course at BCC.
Dr. Conrad is one of the best professor's I have ever taken. Her test are form her outlines and class discussions. No trick questions. She explains and gives you everything you need to understand the material. she will meet with you if you need to. GREAT PROFESSOR A++++ college professor. If you put in the time to review, your grade will relect it
One word... "AMAZING" she is tough but I have learned so much just from taking her class. She really knows her stuff!!!! just come to class on time participate in clickers print her power point outlines and record her. her tests are directly from her outlines if you study from them you'll be fine. Anyone who gave her bad ratings were just lazy.
she was awsesome. i was so interested in her class. theres so much opportunity to raise you grade. tests are straight foward. absolutely loved her. got over 100% in both lecture and lab.
se does not review for exams and what's on test it is so hard that it is impossible to pass
Did not enjoy her class at all,her test are hard even if you study. I would advice if you want to take this class take it alone bacause its alot of materials you need to know. Does not give student any review if you could find some one else do it just avoid her.
her test are very hard, because the way she made it is impossible to pass. she does not review and does not give extra credits. I will recommend to take a different professor.
She is beyond amazing professor and person.I dont understand some of the bad comments. If you put your effort into it,you should be fine.My advise is to record her lectures.I took her for API,Micro lab and lecture and in all of those classes I got over 100%.A lot of opportunities for extra credit especially in Micro lab and lecture. She is the best!!
She's nice and will help but is not specific on her tests and what to study. Her tests can be tricky and hard so study hard. Not going to be a somewhat easy course to take with her.
Her class seemed like something I could handle but when it came to the tests everything i studied went down the drain. Her tests are very hard and she does not review and is not specific on what to study. Do not take her unless you plan on spending all semesters focused on this class alone.
I took her for lecture and lab. She gives a ton of extra credit. But I agree with others on how she never reviews for tests. For her tests, you basically have to study EVERYTHING because you never know what you're gonna get, and it's ALOT of info. Don't take with other classes.
Ok here is the deal, micro is a hard class, u HAVE to study. Hw difference with Dr. Conrad is she loves micro, she enjoys teaching it. If you are not interested in really learning micro, do not take her, take someone else that would make it easy for a grade. I loved her class and what i learned. I should be mndatory for Everyone. Its amazing.
I'm currently taking Professor Conrad for Anatomy 1, she's awesome, I love her, I failed my first test only because I did not study!!!! I underestimated her, she test hard, but trust me when I say this, you will learn!!! It's not an easy course over all, and if you choose an easy route you will suffer in the long run.
This class is hard and requires a lot of effort, if your not up to studying 2-5 hours of studying a day then don't take this course! Shes an amazing teacher and probably the best it gets, but she never is clear what is going to be on the test so you have to study everything. The key to pass her class is to: record the lecture& print lecture notes
I'm failing her class, she doesn't tell you what to expect on the exam and is really hard on grading. If you take this class be prepared to study at least two hours a day. A couple of us are failing this class this semester.
Currently have her for A&P 1. I am learning a lot from her. Each class there are a series of 3-6 clicker questions on material from the previous class (this is how she checks attendance and gives extra credit). Tests are a combo of multiple choice, matching, short answers and there are bonus questions on each test- which is great. Getting an A!
Mrs. Conrad is the best lecture giver, but I agree with her test being very hard, she is Never specific on what is going to be on her test. The upside is that she gives a lot of extra credit. It's not impossible to get an A, but you have to be ready to study 2-3 hours DAILY. If your lazy you wont pass this class!
She is okay. I like how fair she is with her students. Her test are hard meaning HOWEVER the assignments such as the clicker questions and modules online make up for it. You can have C's for each quiz but with the help of clickers and modules you'll have a B in the class. If you striving for A's stay away.
Attendance, listening in class, recording lectures and reading is the key in passing her class.
Absolutely loved her! The best teacher, and I didn't really even like microbio that much. Definitely recommend her to anyone needing this class. I didn't take her for lab but I've heard good things regardless. I got over a 100% in her class. Just don't forget your clicker. Never used the textbook, just study her lectures and you're golden!
She's a knowledgeable professordoctor. She knows everything that you need to know and beyond. I recommend her because you will learn. She gives lots of opportunities to have extra credit. you'll fail this class only if you want to. You have to work hard if you want an A as in any class. I'm taking her for A&P II.
I got an A in this class because Dr. Conrad is an amazing teacher, my test average was a low B but with all the bonus clicker questions and extra credit i got a high A. If you don't get an A in her class you dumb or lazy! AMAAAZZZING teacher you have no excuse to fail.
Dr. Conrad is great. If you want an easy A dont take her. If you want to learn & know what your doing take her. What she talks about is what is on the test. Its a lot of studying but she does not tell you to read the whole book and figure it out. Study what she talks about. If she says something thats not in the book it will extra credit!!!
At first I wasn't sure if I had made the right decision, but as the semester progressed she let down her walls. She is a very good teacher. Her test are based on what she discusses. Use PowerPoint along with text you will be fine. Test are not too difficult. Lots of ways to earn extra credit. Definitely would recommend her. Best desicion Ever!
Really interested in her subject. Teaches as if everyone is going into nursing school, so you need to know how things work and how to apply them. Tests are multiple choice and short answer, but you really need to know your stuff. No midterm or final, just 4 exams total with 3 chapters each.
Dr. Conrad is one of the best (taking her 3 semesters in a row *hint hint*) There are 4 tests, the last 1 is NOT cumulative. There is a mixture of multiple choice, short answersmatching & bonus questions on every test. You have the choice to make up a test, any test except the final. She gives LOTS of extra credit through clicker questions.
Conrad delivers great lectures (record them), is CHALLENGING yet FAIR in her curriculum & grading. Had her for Mirco lab & lecture. LAB WAS HARD! She tells you that up front. Study for each class 4-6 daysweek. Texts are mandatory & very helpful. Go to mocks if offered and office hours. Take her to learn! I learned a TON in her classes and had fun!
Just had her for Microbiology lecture and lab (summer session). She's fantastic!! She gives lots and lots and lots of extra credit. There's no reason for you to fail her class. She actually teaches; she's fair and gives you the chance to review your exams in her office so that you can see where you go wrong. Take her!! Got an A for both Micro class
Students I say again students. If you want to pass This class don't take this lady. I've never have taken a class where there is so much work to do. Even though she gives a ton of extRa credit she doesn't help at all. She reads rIght from the PowerPoint which you could do on your own. This is a hard class if you want to pass take someone else.
I just finished microbiology lecture and lab with her and passed both with an A. She is a great teacher. In order to pass you MUST study. She won't make it easy for you and makes sure you understand what you're learning. If you fail its on your lack of effort. I've taken her for the past 3 semesters (anatomy 1-2 & now micro) and got All A's *hint*
I'm going to give an honest review, she knows her stuff and she knows how to teach, the key to passing this class is easy, STUDY at least 3 hours a day and you should be fine, try to memorize all her PowerPoint and record her lessons. I took her for a&p 1 and 2 and got a B in both.
I am in her class now. When you ask a question she yells at you. 40% free response answers. Grades like you are a grad student. Would advise you to run when you see this professor. Hardest class I ever had. But the worst teacher I ever had as well.
Dr. Conrad challenged me in ways iv'e never would have imagined. Her lectures are alright, reads from powerpoints though, and gives a lot of extra credit. Her lab in the other hand, is the worst experience i ever had. Very tough grader, takes points away for the dumbest reasons. DON'T TAKE LAB WITH HER! She will ruin your GPA with no mercy.
I was really excited to take this class and thank God i choose her class!! Her lectures are very entertaining and she makes thing very easy to understand. You grade is not only determined by the tests but the online reviews as well as response card questions(open notes). You do have to study tho but she makes it easy to pass with at least a B!!!!!
I have a lot of respect for this teacher. Micro is not easy, but she is as good as it gets. I love her powerpoints, and lectures. I had to take a week off for a personal loss and she was very sympathetic. I failed the first test due to that, but she offers a retake and extra credit. I took Lisa Burgess for lab, but wished I took Conrad for both!
Rudest teacher I have ever encountered. When questions were asked she would have a sarcastic comment and sometimes even scream. Follow the outline that is given if you want to pass. Make a group to help each other.
MS. Conrad's lectures are very interesting and she explains very well. Four tests in total, and one bonus test that can replace any of the others. You must STUDY, the tests are 75% multiple choice and 25% short answer. On top of that she gives no study guides and doesn't even let us reference her powerpoint. All she gives is an outline. HARD CLASS
If you take this class expect that you will have to study 2 to 3 hours every day in order to pass. Get a recorder and make sure you take good notes. She will only test you on what is discussed in class, so DO NOT miss class or you will be lost. Great teacher can't wait to take her for BSC2086
I took her microbiology and lab together. Let me first state that this was the hardest class not because of the material, but how picky this woman is. She is a super tough grader. If you just forget to color let's say a parasite or fungus on your lab she deducts points. She spends the most time in lab blabbing and then you hardly have time to finis
Great professor. This is the second time I've taken her and I love her class. Show up, read the outlines she gives you, and record lectures. She never tests on something she hasn't talked about and gives TONS of extra credit. If you don't pass her class it is all on you.
I do not recommend her. She knows alot but is very picky & tells you the pre labs are only "extra credit" and that you dont need to do them but will give you an automatic zero if you dont.
She gives extra credit but it doesnt do anything for your grade really.. Her quizzes are tough ... and its only 10 questions for 1-2 pre-lab lessons, so thast like 5-10 pages your reading .She makes you feel not smart if you ask her questions. She very intelligent and knows what she's talking about , but she's not really good at teaching it. RUNN !
I took this class in the fall of 2015. Im in nursing school now. She is hard core. She is the toughest professor i have ever encountered. if you pass lab and lecture with her, there is nothing you can fail. She takes points off labs for the stupidest things. I'm in nursing school now & its tough but IMO its easier than taking mcb with Conrad!
Um tell me why my lab class is harder than my lecture?? A whole bunch of quizzes and a whole bunch of material that you must learn on tour own. My advice go to the ASC every chance you get, make sure u read your syllabus , do all ur prelabs and GOO to the mock practical exam study sessions.
Dr. Conrad is amazing. She is an excellent teacher and a really nice person. This is a difficult class, no matter who is teaching it. She will help you learn the material and do well in A&P II and micro.
Dr. Conrad is amazing. Take her. You won't regret it.
This class is depending upon the 4exams of you pass or fail. Her lectures are so confusing she doesn't explain well. And her text don't really match the lectures. She also gets her classes mixed up so sometimes she will ask stuff that her fast paced class may have covered
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS SHE DOES NOT PREPARE YOU FOR THE TEST YOU WILL HAVE TO TEACH YOURSELF HER LECTURES ARE CONFUSING
Dont take her!!! Just drive to Central Campus where they have better Mirco teacher. She is a very picky and tough grader and will take off for anything (e.g. spelling even if you are one letter off, she takes a full point). The positive side is when she does test she does go off her power points. No study guides for test. Avoid her Lab too.
Avoid her lab. If you are a visual learner you are screwed! You can't take any pictures to go home and study. She doesn't help with trying to understand the results. If you ask her to take a look at an organism, for help she she will tell you that she will take points away. I have never heard of a teacher not helping student. loads of lab reports
Don't take this lady if you don't want your GPA to decrease .She is though, do not allow you to talk in class to ask your classmate an info she does not know how to teach when it comes to an exam . in class you will think you will pass but in the exams, it's like you never learn anything in class. I will never take this lady again in my life as prof.
Dr. Conrad is an amazing professor. I took her for A&P and Micro. I am now in the nursing program and doing well. I use the stuff I learned in her classes constantly. Others that took the "easy A" professors are struggling. Honestly, she's not that difficult. You just need to show up for lab prepared and study for tests.
Dr. Conrad is an amazing teacher! Her lectures are clear and her test questions all come from that. I had no problems doing well. Recommended!
If you think you will skip class, not study and procrastinate, don't take her. You get what you deserve! You will learn a lot from her lectures. She gives lots of extra credits to help you boost your grade. Get ready to be a professional. Stop complaining and study hard. A&P is not easy. School is not easy. It's easy to pass with an A
MEANT MCB2010!! Taking during summer so exams are every two weeks. Gives clicker questions that are equal to one exam grade so take those seriously. Assigns a book project equivalent to exam grade, super easy. Exams are half multiple choice half written response. Lectures are great, cover exam. Will answer any questions. Take her if you want to lea
She is the best professor I have encountered in my life. The bad reviews are from lazy people who do not like to work. She gives a lot of extra credits and she teaches very well. Very organized and professional. Excellent !!!!! This professor not only teaches her course, but she teaches you how to study. Her class is awesome.
She is the best, you will learn how to study and memorize your stuff. The best professor I have seen at BC... Awesome!!!! her class prepares your for any other class you will take. Excellent !!!! Lots of Opportunites and Extra Credit!!
Dr. Conrad's challenged me in many ways but she is an amazing teacher and you will learn! Do not take this class if you can't study every day because it is a lot of information. Dr Conrad is a hard grader but she is a caring professor who is always available to meet and help. This class prepared me for the nursing program and I thank her!
Good teacher but very tough
I was terrified when I read the reviews here about Dr. Conrad and I was shocked to see how wrong these reviews were. She is very clear about materials to be covered. You receive the schedule with down to exam dates with topics. She works with students if there are legitimate reason for missing class. She is direct to the point and logical.
Awesome!!!!! You really learn!!! She gives lotssssss of extra credit!
Dr. Conrad is the best profesor any student could wish for, as long as you are willing to learn. Easy cant get you far and if nursing is your ultimate goal she is the most fit to prepare you for it. Her assignments are clear as are her tests and grading system. Dont miss any of the classes because everything she talks about will be on exam.
Being my first semester in college and taking this course was a strong way to start. It was very challenging but I learned so much and she teaches very well and doesn't mind explaining things one more time. If you are a visual learner like I am then this is the class for you! The Power Points is what you need to study for the test and quizzes.
Just to say amazing. Exam come straight from the notes. A lot of opportunity to earn extra points every day.
Finishing A&P 1 w/Lab. All the notes in her PPoints are on test, so use that. Always attend class to hear explanations, quiz every 2 days. Honestly found her lab to be more of a challenge but nothing impossible if you commit hours a day to studying. Will take her for A&P 2. She gives extra credit which boosts grade. You NEED good study habits.
Dr. Conrad is an amazing and brilliant professor. She makes the lectures very interesting and very interactive. She gives extra credit. Exams are a breeze as long as you study her PP. There are 5 exams the 5th one is optional if you fail an exam u are able to swap lowest grade out of the 4 exams with the 5th. Easy A. Will take her for BSC2086.
Extra credit is important, she likes to do clickers so make sure your in time. Make sure you do ALL your homework, it can help a lot. You also get to make up only one exam during makes ups in November. Make sure you study and read ahead. Its like a review when you walk into class. She doesnt teach all. Furthermore do not talk in her class.
She is the rudest professor I have ever encountered. IF you dont understand the material, dont even dare to ask her or else she'll either try and embarrass you or be angry that you asked for clarification. Also, hold your pee or go before her class because she has a huge issue when people walk in and out of her class. I WOULD NEVER take her again.
There are tests, clicker questions, and online homework that help your grade in the class. Her lectures are great and she has group activities to help each other get the material. It's anatomy so obviously, the class is hard so you have to put in the work or you won't pass. Don't listen to the negative reviews they're incorrect.
Read her powerpoint before class! Clickers are very important for bonus points. Very knowledgeable and expect her students to not only memorize but be able to explain how things work in her tests. 100's of pages of powerpoint but she doesn't go over everything so tests are hard to predict. Retest really help boost your grade. Lots of bonus points.
4 tests, 3-4 chapters per test, 100-150 slide powerpoints per chapter. Reads directly off the slides and does not make things easy to understand. Her tests are the hardest tests I've ever taken, tries to give you trick questions on the test. Only gives online homework through connect (which does not help anyone). Very old school style of teaching.
Good professor, but to strict, classes are too tense.
I can't believe this professor has such high rating considering she is not that good of a teacher. There are 4 tests about 3-4 chapters in a test, about 100-150 slides per powerpoint and she does expect you to read, memorize and understand all of them. Her tests are so difficult! Do NOT take her class!
She is an amazing professor that wants her students to learn not just memorize. She gets you ready for what's to come if you want to get into the nursing program or anything health care. She offers so many opportunities for extra credit that helps your grade a lot. She is not bad at all if you just talk to her.
Omg I took her based off of other peoples rating, I felt people lied. She is horrible dont get me wrong she knows her stuff but shes like a robot we would ask her questions and she wouldnt answer or answer with a attitude. It was demeaning. There were several people in the class whose native language wasnt english and she had no pity tore them
this class is NOT easy and shes a hard teacher but she is really good at teaching and knows her stuff. i ended up with a B in this class after HOURS a day of studying. shes extremely knowledgeable and gives lots of extra credit. you just have to do lots of work on your own
DO NOT TAKE! She is the worst teacher I've had at BC. She gives NO review of any kind for exams or quizzes. No matter what you study, she puts questions in her own words which makes it very confusing. Also, her tests are half FREE RESPONSE and she decides how many points you get! Only thing that saved me was her extra credit. Save Yourself!
Do yourself a favor and avoid taking her... She is an extremely tough grader (no spelling mistakes!) asking on little things. Quizzes every class (you get 10 mins only) and midterm and final exam are cumulative. She has an attitude that makes you think twice before you ask her a question. Take her only if you're good at teaching yourself......
She is a good professor but she is tough. She does not make it easy but she makes you work and put in the effort. The lecture test aren't that bad if you actually study. For her lab there is a lot of lab reports but if you do good on them then you'll definitely pass the class.
Prof. is awesome. She knows her stuff and is great with delivering the content. Have plickers almost everyday, 4 test (allows retake of one test), and online homework for every chapter. Great professor, she can come off harsh sometimes but she really works with you and allow you the opportunity to pass. Definitely take!!!
She does offer lots of resources to learn the material and really makes sure information is applied to in class. Great at lecture and the worksheets given in class helps. My only issue is that she claims there is no such thing as a stupid question, but lord she can be very demeaning and disrespectful to students when they ask questions.
I have opened up to the possibility of nursing because of her class. Aplying to accelerated nursing programs. Enjoyed all of her lectures as I listened to them 2 to 3 times. Going through practice TEAS questions and feeling like I learned alot. She pushes us to succeed with 30% free answer exams. She is a great teacher and highly appreciated.
This professor is strict for no reason. NOBODY WANTS TO BE A MICROBIOLOGIST. She offers so much homework and doesn't realize that people are taking other classes. She is very rude and demeaning. She makes you feel stupid for asking a question. I would suggest taking another professor. Run away.
she doesn't know how to teach. with everything moved to remote learning because of cover, she hasn't been lenient. her labs are just drawing and naming organisms. i have no idea what I'm doing in this class. all my classmates feel the same too, just as confused. we're teaching ourselves. if we ask a question she makes a big deal out of it.
I dont know how she has such a high rating on here. She is the most difficult professor Ive ever dealt with. She doesnt teach properly, everyone in class is confused, she gives us lab homework and expects us to know everything. You teach yourself and thats barely. Im not even done with her class yet and Im so over her. Dont take her.
Dr. Conrad is a detailed lecturer who has a clear syllabus. Take this class and you will have to put your health, peace of mind, family, other class, and job on the back burner. Workload is unreasonable. A great part of all exams are free-response. Her Mo - if you are less than perfect, you will not succeed as a nurse.
Professor Conrad is a detailed lecturer with a clear syllabus. If you take this class, you will be given 4-9 lab complex reports per week. It is possible to be given 11 lab reports in one week. There are no reviews for practical exams. One practical exam includes two separate 45 minutes exams.
Good Professor, will take again.
I took this class and had a B+ took my Final Exam and ended up with a D. If you know your material you'll do great if not GOOD LUCK.
All that I can say is STUDY STUDY STUDY. Know your histology and youre going to pass.
Lectures every single day for an average of about 20-25 minutes, and most of that time is spent of her clicking on videos that are all available to the students but makes us watch them instead of elaborating on anything. She'll assign extra credit but then half of the time she won't use that for the next day's quiz. Please spare your grade/self.
Shes an alright professor. She doesnt teach or elaborate on anything, all she really does is show videos of other professors work. If you want to pass youll have to teach yourself, and do the extra credit. She does not use proctoring for any of the quizzes or tests she gives out. Would be a hard class if taken in person.
Tough teacher, but there's plenty of opportunities to get a good grade in this class. Be prepared to be a very well self teacher.
I was upset at the beginning due to the little time she gave us for each quiz. When we addressed it to her she wouldnt budge. Extra credit was given 2x/week but tedious. Expectations was straight fwd. Her method is for you to self-teach but if you take notes i think youll be ok. Overall ended well for me but dont think Id take her again.
Be prepared to teach yourself in this class, lectures are 30-40 minutes of videos and minimal instruction but you still required to be there? She isn't bad just not very open to criticism on how she does things.
She is a very nice person, but very vague on teaching. Even when you ask her a question she seems annoyed when she answers. Her quizzes are timed 45 minutes for short response which was stressful. She doesn't do study guides so good luck. DIAGRAMS DIAGRAMS DIAGRAMS and they all look the same.
She is a very unreasonable teacher, she don't take the time to teach and she is very hard on grading. she gives 8 min quiz for 15 question and won't bend to help student successed. Her midterms and final was all diagrams and the pictures was hard to describe or understand, i wouldn't advise anyone to take this professor.
DO the homework and attend class for plickers extra credit! They count for a lot. All her exam material come STRAIGHT from her powerpoint lectures. So you always know what to expect. She makes things so easy to understand. But you will have to put in the effort. This is not an easy class! Lockdown Browser for exams.
Would NOT recommend this professor to anyone! Does not care for her students, is an extremely tough grader and gives an extreme amount of homework weekly. Her quizzes are 8-10min long for 10 questions, trust me for her class it is not enough time. Her midterm was terrible barely gave time to complete 50 questions plus another 25 picture questions.
Professor Conrad seems to have forgotten we are in a pandemic, I got COVID-19 during the first two weeks of class & asked to makeup my work I missed from being ill and she said no. Group project was stupid,4 test & are 50% free response & not related to PPs, pop quizzes each class & weigh heavy on grade. 10/10 would not recommend.
i had her for lecture and lab and to be honest, she was okay. she doesn't give study guides for tests in lecture, but its best to re-watch her recordings because they help a lot. for lab on the other hand, u should use the lab schedule as a study guide, because for the 1st half its the midterm, for the 2nd its the final.
Id recommend finding a good teacher before having her. Shes a really tough grader. Also have a group project to read whole book which she provides in a document and have to do all this stuff and preset to the class. Its so bad to get a good grade on that project. No study guides so pay attention to her recordings. She also has a bad attitude
She does not grade connect assignments for credit, she grades them by how many questions you get right. Despite some of the good reviews on here, I promise you she is not worth it. She is awful, she is stubborn, She knows what she's teaching but we as students do not know what she's teaching. Half of the students in the class are currently failing.
It sucks that she has poor ratings, but I wouldn't blame others that have had her. She is a VERY VERY tough grader. Her tests are not even remotely similar to the PowerPoint she presents. She rewords the questions and makes them harder to understand. Heavy homework load. Very picky about what she wants to have done. Think twice before taking her.
I don't even know where to start some of the reviews were people being nice. The MidTerm was the most difficult thing I have ever taken I received a 45% and she does not give reviews for her exams she tells you go to the Mock. But do remember the MOCK Question reviews are not what is on HER exam. NEVER AGAIN. I have to retake LAB next term now.
If I could give her a 0 rating I would. Do not take this professor. If you have no other option but to take her then you better find one. Ive never had a professor that made a class harder than it needs to be. I truly believe she finds joy in that. She doesnt do reviews, her quizzes are ridiculous, she gives you attitude when you ask question.
If there are any reviews you need to listen to, then listens to these bad reviews. She doesn't care about you or anybody. Most of her test are not multiple choice and the retakes are even worst. The story about her daughter failing on her multiple-choice test is the reason she does that. She's awful and you can't even email or ask questions. prof:0
As long as you read the material you should be fine. Her lab reports are very specific. Make sure you pay attention to the way she explains. Exam 1- I got a 50% so just make sure you study at least 2 weeks in advance. Exam 2 I got a 59. So yeah study!
She is a nightmare ! She gives so much homework that you will not have time to study, not for her class, and not for any other classes. She doesn't teach anything , you learn from the homework that you do, and you will not get any feedback on what you did wrong so that you don't get to correct it for the exam. She is not a Professor.
Professor Conrad is an amazing person, but as a professor she is tough. There is tons of extra credit opportunities, but lots of homework. You really have to put in at least 2 hours of studying into this class, and her tests are both multiple choice and free response. She is very caring and understanding, you just have to keep up with your work.
I enjoyed her because she knew what she was talking about, just wish she could specify more in what we needed to know because she would always say we needed to know everything. Probably would've gotten an A if I studied more to be honest
Study everything she goes over. She gives extra credit for prelabs - DO THEM!! They are worth it!! Quizzes each week for what you went over the week before, not crazy difficult just a good refresher but try your best because then the only grades left are your midterm and final practical and THAT takes a lot to remember, study!!!
I loved having Dr. Conrad for both labs and lectures. In lab, she gives extra credit for the Pre-labs. There is a quiz every week on the material you learned about the previous week. If you study for this class, it will not be super hard. She explains things if you do not understand and she is easy to reach outside of class. Just put in the work.
The most amazing lab experience. Make sure you are taking notes of everything she is saying. She will not add or miss any detail that will not be part of the midterm or the final exam. She is open to any questions and is always willing to help. I loved her teaching method.
I loved Dr. Conrad, she's super clear on what's going to be on midterms and finals. If you paid attention to her lecture and read the chapter you'd be good. She was also super willing to help with whatever question or concept I was confused with. You will definitely come out with clear comprehension from this class.
Dr Conrad was very straight to the point. She explains what u have to do and expects you to do it. If I had Any questions she would answer them. She is definitely not an easy you have to earn your grades. Make sure you read the chapters because there is a quiz every Monday based on what you learned the week prior. She is not horrible but not easy.
Dr.Conrad's micro lecture and lab was alright, definitely not the worst. She's straight to the point and gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. Her lab has a lot of lab reports, and for the exam just make sure to attend a mock practical and you'll be set. In lecture, just make sure you pay attention to what she's emphasizing.Overall a good prof
Study her power points and her recordings for lecture you will make an A. For lab read each chapter and learn and listen to how she wants the lab reports done you will get an A. She can be stubborn, but just focus on passing the class
Lecture has 4 exams (multiple choice and free response), plickers, homework and smartbook. For lab there's a quiz once a week and usually multiple lap reports due every class with of course two exams. She offers a lot of extra points and lets you review what you got wrong on each exam or quiz. Honestly a good professor and the tutoring center helps
She was great!! You have connect homework and smartbook work for each chapter, 4 exams, and plickers about the previous class, and a novel group presentation. The topic wasn't the easiest but she made the powerpoints accessible to you and taught from them. Attend the class and pay attention, do the homework and you'll be fine. Really enjoyed her.
If you honestly want to learn, have Dr. Conrad as your professor. She is amazing and very considerate.
If you have the chance take this professor! SO much extra credit opportunities. Online exam retake on any test of your choice. She really wants you to pass (it is hard not to). Stay up to date with online homework assignments and you will be golden. I rearranged my schedule to take her for A&P2. I have learned so much. 11/10 recommend.
I always look up professors' ratings here; that way, I can decide if I want to attend the class. Dr. Conrad did not have high ratings; however, I learned from her and thoroughly enjoyed her class. READ your BOOK and study a little every day; you will pass her class with an A !. Listen to her recordings, and she has tons of extra credit.
DO NOT TAKE HER. Connect is due on random dates - middle of the week, whenever. She has no set schedule for it, and they are heavy on the grade you get. Plickers are at the start of every class, so if you're 5 minutes late, you miss those points too. Her exams are not hard, BUT the questions have nothing to do with her lectures.
Micro lab requires STUDYING to pass regardless of what professor!! There's a quiz every week, and 2 practical's. She gives lots of homework assignments and extra credit opportunities, this allows you to pass the class even if you don't do so great on the midterm/final. She may seem mean at first but she will grow on you, she wants you to pass!!
This professor is horrible. She is very unfair with grading, her tests are way too difficult and she expects you to remember 5+ chapters with 60+ slides in each one for the tests. No study guides, pointless outlines, and her case studies are not original although she says they are. I do not recommend.
I took this professor for Microbiology Lab. Having taken this class for a second time, this time was much easier with Professor Conrad. She gives weekly quizzes that are reasonable to pass, she offers extra credit throughout the semester so passing her class should be a reasonable task.
This professor was not bad for lab, although she is nice but for lecture I highly recommend taking another prof if you are not a good test taker. Her tests each typically have between 4-5 chapters will weigh to be majority of your grade and she does not offer a single study guide
This is the worst professor at Broward college. Please if you want to pass the class do not take her. She does not explain any single example before the practice test at class and she is not he even do a least one simple practice lab before she asked you to do it yourself.
Dr. Conrad is an excellent professor who is very knowledgeable about Zoology and other sciences. I would love to take an Anatomy and Physiology course led by her. I learned so much useful information about vertebrates. I wish I could have taken her for my other Undergrad Biology courses.
Professor Conrad, though old-school, is an articulate teacher who explains concepts clearly. Attend the MOCKs for better prep as she doesn't provide study guides for midterms or finals. Pay attention to lab report instructions; Lab reports are a significant portion of your grade. She's tough but fair; she also gives extra credit.
Very easy class if you pay very good attention and take great notes! I mean it, write down everything she says.
The lectures can be challenging, but if you stay engaged, do the homework, and use resources like unstuckstudy ai, you'll do well. Professor Conrad is helpful in office hours, and the class is worth taking if you put in the effort.
Be prepared for a Quiz every week. Lots of homework. Record her she doesn't give study guides. She will only give you credit if you color your body parts. Mid term and final is brutal. I passed by the grace of god.
this is my first time writing a review, her rating are so misleading, she is not nice she'll make you feel dumb for asking questions. she gives a lot of homework and is rlly strict on grading it, doesn't give you any type of powerpoint or study guide or anything at all tbh. Her teaching is bare minimum she talks for 10 min all class no teaching.
if you are taking
Do not take this lady at all. Like at all. This is semester is her last semester. If you are going to take her class do a lot of active recall. She isn't a teacher you should take while trying to anatomy 2. She is a very tough grader. Spelling has to be correct like you can't miss one letter.
