Take Bio 101 with Professor Dartley. Lecture: Excellent teacher, very clear, takes it slow so you understand, you have to study but she wont throw you anything she has not taught. Lab: gives great handouts cause there are no pictures in lab book, goes over everything and makes sure you understand whats going on. Super nice!

Professor Jaqueline Dartley is one of the very good science teachers BCC has. She gives the students the opportunity to succeed in her class by giving us study guides and she puts slide shows and videos that help us understand the lecture well. She also gives extra credit and her tests questions are 100 questions but she grades by 1 point each.

Professor Dartley is by FAR one of the best professors at BCC. Her lectures make you interested in the topic and the lab work is all due at the end of the semester so there is no homework. She gives 4 tests. I got 68s-69s on the exam BUT I still got a B+ average because of the lab grade and all the extra credit. Over all a wonderful educator!

Professor Dartley is the best. Biology is a very hard class and she understands that. Take advantage of any extra credit or study sessions that she provides because it will truly help you. Professor Dartley is beyond amazing! I took her for a summer class and although every lecture and lab are heavy loaded, she explains the material well. She is probably one of the most coolest Bio teacher ever. She is hilarious but most of all she cares. Her Class is an easy A, she has packets on Moodle on every chapter. As the Corona Virus pandemic hit, and the class was online, which was a first for her, there were some technological issues. However, she is a gem and wants all to do well. Work was the usual amount, just missed out on the field trips. Study, review, and ask questions if you must.

Second class I took with professor Dartley. This was on-line unlike Bio 101. I thought it was easy even for a summer class. Lectures were taped but they were new. Professor Dartley was a pleasure as my Biology teacher for my first year at Bergen. Throughout the whole semester she made sure to keep the labs interesting and understanding so that we could apply them to our exams. The tests do have a lot of questions but that's so each question isn't weighted too heavily. She gives multiple extra credits, is understanding, caring, funny and way more accommodating that she needs to be. TAKE HER.

Professor Dartley was literally amazing. She actually cared about all of her students and was always willing to explain concepts over and over again until we understood them. She had a great sense of humor and was pretty lenient and helpful during labs. Tests were very long, however, usually about 70-80 multiple choice.

I struggled during the semester but was able to pass thanks to her weekly Sunday night reviews. Biology was the last class I needed to pass before I transferred out of bergen.

Professor Dartley keeps her class very simple. Do your labs and do your assignments. Most of your grade will be labs which she completely walks you through and will always help you answer questions, and follow the lab procedure. She is a good professor compared to biology professors, but the exams were around 80 questions you would have to study a lot, do lab and she give us many extra credits also I recommend preparing for class try to study everything you take. there is Sunday night reviews and one presentation you would have to do with your group (graded separately).

I had a great experience with Professor Dartley for Summer 1. She explains the topics with great clarity. She was always fair in grading. There are two extra credit assignments and some on a few exams. She always graded fast so there is very little test anxiety. The class was calm which is rare for summer at BCC.

So this just happened, dude falls asleep during exam. Prof D. gently wakes him asks if he is ok he says he hasnt slept in 48 hours she tells him, to go home and get some sleep and take the test tomorroew in the testing center. Super nice of her. SHe cares about us.

Attendance is very much required, she also does extra reviews after class if you have any questions about her well taught lecture.
