Horrible teacher, she didn't teach us anything and was way too easy. I was getting an A but then she lost my midterm and gave me a B. She also missed a lot of class. Cool accent though. You might like her if you like easy teachers and don't mind flakiness
Jacquline dello russo- Is honest straight forward, and cute.
Jacqueline is AWESOME. *really* helpful, funny, and smart. a great class- taught me more than i thought it would.
Good teacher, some of the material i thought was a little dull but she's very entertaining and warm. Would highly reccomend, i learned AND got a good grade. But it wasn't painful.
she is very nice and has a good personality. She is kinda cute for a teacher also!
Very funny and cool teacher i recomend this teacher to anyone who struggles with english
LOOK,JUST TAKE HER CLASS! YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Best English class I have ever had. Good books good teacher, you want to take this class with her.
Awsome teacher. Made me a much better writer. Books she chose for the class to read were some of my favorites. She is a bit flaky about coming to class but always gives you extra time to get what was missed. most importantly her cool accent keeps you awake in class
Not an extremely easy teacher, but willing to help you out a lot. Quite a bit of work, but I've been able to write great essays because of it! Take her class early on in your college career, it will pay off!
Jacqueline is a great teacher. She is very patient with you if you have any problems and is willing to help you as much as she can. I took her in English 100 and English 1A and I wish she taught more classes. If you want a teacher who will teach you English well and is nice, then I recommened her.
Loved her! She's funny, nice, and always open to discussions. You read interesting books and she's very open minded. She's also helpful and understanding but that doesn't mean she's easy. You still need to do the work but it's almost enjoyable. Take her if you get a chance! You'll enjoy her class.
Excellent teacher. She is funny, and has a good positive grading method. Unlike many teachers, the comments she writes on your paper are positive ones. She rights things on your paper that she likes. Plus, she has an awesome british accent.
Jacqueline was an AMAZING teacher! She knew exactly what she was teaching, and would always put a comic spin on things if not being serious and getting straight to the point. She made sure that you understood what you were doing, and would help whenever asked. Her comments were helpful and positive.
Very positive, high expectations and always available. I learned quite a bit from her. Love the accent and that she writes on your papers with constructive information.
dello russo was pretty cool but kind of a flake. the books you read make the class worth taking.
This woman is an "English teaching" goddess. Highly recommended !!! Plus- her British accent makes it impossible not to pay attention to every word she speaks.
Great teacher. You will learn a lot in her class. Her accent is great and she is funny at times. She has high expectations of her students, but is fair with her grading.
This teacher is wonderful. She is so inspiring, and I have improved my writing so much in her class! I love going to english because she is so wonderful :)
Jacqueline is the best professor that I have had at the JC. English is a scary thing for me, but she gets you so interested in her class. I even go to see her on my days off to get help. She is always available, and very helpful. She actually cares about her students. Take her, you wont regret it
Great teacher, she makes english fun. If you get a chance take her class!

I had this class a year ago, was by far the best teacher at the JC I have had, hell probably one of the best teachers I have ever had period. I was lucky and just picked this class not knowing and am glad I did, take this class!
Also had this class a while ago, but figured I'd rate her still. Excellent teacher, by far the best English teacher here. Truely works with your schedule, very helpful (as long as you ask), interesting class discussions, good-looking (for a woman in her 40s (?)), just all around great teacher. THIS IS WHO YOU WANT IF YOU TAKE ENGLISH!!!
I do NOT recomend Dello Russo if you are looking for help regarding the subject. Also her material is not 1a quality. Dello Russo also shows no decorum in her classroom, so if you dont mind her curiosty youll be fine. If I had a chance to take 1a I wouldnt with her..... Period

Dello Russo is fabulously entertaining and an amazing writer. Her class will definintely help you become a better writer. However, she can be a "power tripper" sometimes, and she is a ball-buster when it comes to being to attendence, tardies, and following MLA format to the "T". Take her class if you want to be challenged, but don't challenge her!
Not an easy class, but entertaining. She is kinda weird, not in a bad way but weird none the less. She is a good writer, so she usually sees right through bad work. I tried my hardest and barely pulled off a B, if that says anything.
She is very hard teacher. And She is sarcastic. She is funny and sort of nice, but She won't hepl you if you miss a class,it's one of her weird rules.Sometimes, she acts unprofessional, and it bothers me when she says the "f" word. If you want to improve your writing skills, don't take her class. She gave me a hard time and i regret taking her class
Ms. Dello Russo is an outstanding teacher. I hate english and never liked it, but always seemed to be really good at it. She put my skills to the test and improved them even more. She wasn't hard but wasn't easy. I now like english because of her class- thanks.
Love Dello Russo! She is amazing..i hated english and after taking her..i cant get enough of it! work hard and think alot but overall experience is great!
I am a Christian and I recommend this teacher to all other Christians. She, makes writing interesting. I didin't used to like writing but she brought it out and is an awsome teacher!!! I love you Jacqueline
jacqueline is awesome! really nice and will help you become a better writer. i recommend her.
Super teacher! Fast, funny, on the ball! Her teaching style is probably challenging for some people but if you have good self confidence she can improve your technical quality while making the subject fun! Not for wimps or slackers. Be prepared with your work and bring a good attitude to class. I intend to take other classes from her!
I enjoyed Jaqueline's English class. I always remember reading "Into Thin Air" and writing so many essays and such about the book, I took the class back in 98, so not sure how much she has changed. It was a very tough class, but I made it through with an A.

This woman is weird! she thinks of herself as the best teacher and writer ever. GET A LIFE DELLO RUSSO!
I can't believe people bad mouth Jacqueline. I had her for 1A, I'm taking her for 7 now, and I will take her for 5 next semester. She's a wonderful lady; very nice, funny, AND lenient. She pushes essay due dates back all the time. And she'll help you when you ask. Oh, and her last name is McGhee now.
Dello Russo is the best english teacher I ever had!!! Thank God, there is finally an english teacher that makes english interesting and keeps me awake!!! Her class is a little challenging, but what Eng 1A class isn't. She makes sure that you understand the assignments. Anyone in their right mind should take her, she is great, you'll love it!!!
I'm an English major, so I don't know how fair this rating will be, but seriously...I really liked this teacher. She's fun and interesting, and while she does ask for a fair ammount of work she's a moderate grader (not the easiest I've encountered, definitely not the toughest). I know a lot of people who like her.
Has ablility to make english interesting. Warning: wasn't allowed to finish her class. She has an issue with attendance & lateness. I was having trouble getting to class regarding parking/personal reasons. Has NO patience for this & doesn't care about important reasons. I personally don't trust her judgement now & would never take her again.
Jacqueline Dello Russo is such a great teacher! If you don't like english or don't think you're very good at it, take her class! Heads up, she has recently changed her last name to Mcghee. She's a really fun teacher. 1 of her rules is, if your cell goes off in class, you have to bring cookies next time for everyone. She's so cool!

she is an awesome teacher highly recomend! she makes a hard class alot easier. really nice and cares about her students. avaliable in office hours. willing to talk to you about your papers and help you if needed. one of the best teachers ive had!
she is awesome.. take her if you get the chance. she used to be named dello russo. so you may want to look there too.
Fantastic professor. She brought so much energy into the classroom every day. It was always a pleasure to attend her class. She is very willing to help you out when you are in need. I highly recommend this professor for an excellent English Experience.
She is not a restrictive instructor, and definately not one of those instructors that expect you to regurgitate their opinions to get a good grade. I really liked her student-friendly approach to teaching.
She is so helpful and nice. Really a lot of fun, and understands the student.
I actually looked forward to her class. I passionately hated english class prior to taking her. I would take her for another class if I needed to or had the free time. Hands down the best english teacher I have ever had. FYI:She has changed her name to McGhee.
GREAT TEACHER! She is so passionate about what she does. Everything she does in class is for a reason and helps w/ the papers.
one of the best teachers i've had.....lots of homework but not hard just need to show up to class and write what you feel...
This professor's name was Dello Russo. See this name for additional commments
Okay, everyone's giving this teacher 4 and 5's which is nice, but she isn't easy. She's very helpful, and clear on what she wants for you to do. But this does not mean you can sit in class two days a week and pass. That to me is a 5. You actually HAVE to do work in here, and the work can be hard, and take hours upon hours writing an essay.
Jaci is an amazing teacher! She is passionate about her job, her students, and writing! She encourages you to write about what you are passionate about, and things that interest you. You can't show up with only half of a brain in her class and expect an A. You actually have to think and do some work, but that is why we are in college.
I absolutely love Jacqueline! She is the reason WHY I want to Major in English. I loved both the classes I took of hers, she is not "easy" it does require some work... but she is straight-forward and extremely helpful. She is also very positive and she wants her students to do well. Has a very kind heart. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER! :)
This teacher was interesting and fun. I looked forward to our classes.
She is very helpful and she also does alot of tutorials to help you out. The class did about 7 essay total. There is alot of reading. She the best english teacher that i have ever taken.
She's the best English teacher I have ever had. She runs her class in a strict manner but its in a good way. She is extremely understanding and ALWAYS willing to help and is very passionate. Outstanding teacher.
She changed. DONT TAKE HER!
Jaci is always a fair grader. I've had her for 1a & 5 She wants you to attend so you learn/stretch your mind She encourages all her students to write better She absolutely loves English and it shows! She's always excited to teach & be your teacher if you cooperate with her and ask for help She wants everyone to give Engl a chance. HIGHLY recommend!
Excellent english teacher. After having some pretty bad ones in the past, she was a breath of fresh air. I learned so much about writing from her. She is big on analysis, so you may want to brush up on that before taking her. Overall, great teacher and always there to help. Highly recommended.
I took her English 100 class a year or so ago. Yes, I do remember she was often absent, but in essence she was a good teacher. My best English teacher, ever. And she can a little sarcastic, but amusing, I love it.
Energetic and fun instructor! Two in-class essays, three analysis essays (one personal), one group project (I never met once outside of class with my group), and reading on 3 books, plus some essays. In-class tutorials are really helpful, so take advantage of them. She's easy on the shy ones too. Open-minded. flexible on deadlines. You'll improve
She starts our being real hard core but she really helps you. she gives you plenty of time to do essays. she was funny and is really nice.
She starts off for the first month trying to scare kids out of her class because she likes small classes. The work load is very demanding in the beginning. At the end she is easy and a lot of fun. She lets you bring in your essays before they are due and she will look over them. Tells you what she wants exactly. Alot of reading so buy the book.
She is fantastic. If you every have any opportunity to take a course from her, do it!
She is a great teacher and passionate about what she does. Her class is not easy! There is a lot of reading and writing, and she is not an easy grader. Aside from that she actually makes learning English entertaining and she has a great sense of humor. The hardest class I ever took, but also the most rewarding.
Spends too much class time talking about psychology, and is unclear on what she wants because she gives you absolutely no feed back on your essays.
Amazing teacher, one of the best English teachers I've ever had! She emphasizes greatly in psychology, so a mild intrest in that subject may be important. Sweet lady, fair grader, gives 2 months to complete essays. Reading HW every night with a quiz on the reading every class. I loved this teacher. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Jacqueline was amazing! Best teacher I have ever had.... Highly recommended for first time engl 1a takers, and people who have taken engl 1 a and have to re-take. Everything is clear, if you have questions she answers them very well... Also connects with students on a personal level. Do your daily readings... youll pass!
If she likes you, she is a great teacher. However, she dislikes pompous students. For some reason she has been rude to me and a few other students since the third week. It is highly unprofessional. She is passive-aggressive if you speak to her one on one in her office. I got a D on an essay not because of grammar, but because it was too pretentious
Good teacher! Definitely my favorite english teacher yet. She was challenging, yet incredibly helpful, which made everything easier. Thanks to this class I am a better writer. We were encouraged to think for ourselves and weren't down graded for having creative opinions in our writing. Take this class if you want to become a better writer!
Would definitely recommend taking Jacqueline for ENGL 1A. Although she grades really hard on papers, she does a great job of helping you become a better writer. Very friendly and hilarious.
Amazing personality, made english class enjoyable. Downside, she teaches the class like is physc not engl. Really confusing for some if your just there for G.E. take another class if you want to learn how to write take her.
Best teacher I ever had. I always looked forward to going to class. The work was pretty hard but she will help you if you ask her.
she was amazing!! i have always hated english, but she made me really enjoy it. i enjoyed every book she had. she was extremely helpful and very understanding. my first take-home essay i lost and had to do all over, but she was fine with that. every time i turned an assignment in, i thought it would bomb, but would always do fine. class was so fun
I took this class online. She is wonderfully sweet and enjoys interacting with students. I left the class with a greater understanding of English. I do believe she uses to many text books, and the Daniel Goleman reading is especially boring. Overall I would highly recommend taking her class
This english class is based around psych. If she doesn't want you in the class or if you ask to many questions she is not very helpful. There are 3 papers and if you take it online you have a quiz and multiply response's every week,
Jacqueline McGhee lights up whatever room she's in. She's funny and adorable, with obvious expertise and love for English. The biggest complaint in the classroom was her reading selections. You will be spending time on all of the books, so check the reading list before signing up.
Wonderful teacher and very interesting. anyone who has anything bad to say about McGhee is not happy in their own life. She is delightful. I love her as a teacher and a person.
I took this class online. I loved the psychological approach. All of the readings and essays tie into each other which made the class flow very well. I would definitely recommend her.
Jacqueline puts things into terms everyone can understand and she can explain in new ways if you don't understand. she's patient but at the same time holds you accountable. I very much appreciated her support.
McGhee is the best prof I've had so far. Her coursework is deeply meaningful while teaching to be a better writer. The required online participation useful & engaging unless you're lazy. Students were encouraged to connect by prof & the profound readings.
Very nice and casual class. Highly recommended if you're okay with reading not-so-great text books.
She is amazingly helpful and the class was wonderful. Read some great books and really enjoyed the class. The class is difficult, but what do you expect from an English class?
Very energetic little English lady who gets really excited about English and in turn makes you too. Books easy reads and really enjoyable. Not the typical "Old Man and the Sea" Not that I've read it but it sounds boring. Make sure that what you turn in is polished work you'll probably get a good great. Great teacher. My favorite so far.
She is awesome! The books she chose for us to read really enhanced my experience. She taught me tools I will use in life regarding my writing. She is encouraging and supportive. Highly recommend her.
Eng. 1A is a lot of work. Well thought out class. She is exceptionally kind-hearted, encouraging, & considerate. Great reading. While learning how to write, you will learn about yourself as this class has a psychological component to it. Highly recommend Ms. McGhee!
Jackie is the sweetest teacher! She's got this darling brit accent and is so in love with the study. She's also a marriage counselor so she incorporates lots of psychology, which is a nice component in lit studies. She's truly wise and knows her stuff, and knows great gluten free snacks. She does quiz on reading, but they're only 3 pts. Loved her:)
Jackie is a wonderful teacher and human being. She is very articulate in her directions and is easily reachable by email. She makes class a joy to attend and by week two everyone is talking and participating. GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO GET HER CLASS! it will be the best english experience you will ever have.
Ms. McGhee is a great teacher! The books and assignments focus on psychology, so if you like that you'll really enjoy the class. Read the books and take notes for quizzes. She is very helpful if you go to her office hours. I had dropped English 1A three times before taking her class. Having a great teacher makes a huge difference.
Loved her class! Very attentive and open to questions, gives good feedback. Classes were fun but still got a lot done. Work on wide range of writing skills (analysis, reports, short stories, in-class, etc). Got me interested in writing again. Doesn't grade too harshly, but you definitely have to put in effort to get a good grade.
GREAT teacher, always has interesting topics. Very psychology focused when it comes to he reading of character motivations in the novels - and there are lots of novels to read in this class. She is, by and large, one of my favorite teachers in eight years of going to the SRJC.
Mrs. McGhee is not only a great teacher but she is a wonderful person. She is so kind, and her attitude towards her class and every individual is something I wish all teachers could have. You read a lot of interesting books that evoke thought. Her lessonsprojects aren't too difficult. One of my favorite teachers I've ever had.
Jacqueline McGhee is a marvelous teacher. The books she chooses are lovely to read and I always find myself leaving that homework until last as a treat to myself. She leads very interesting discussions and allows a lot of freedom in essay topics, which is awesome if you like flexibility. I have already recommended her to several friends!
Jacqueline is one of those amazing teachers you get who are actually inspiring. I enjoyed the required text so much that I've recommended to friendsfamily after the class was over. If Jacqueline teaches other classes you are interested in, don't waste any time and sign up!
This class was great and McGhee was what made it. Her class seems a bit intimidating the first few weeks and her first essay assignment will keep you up for a while, but she allows you to post your drafts to your blog for student and teacher editing...(DO IT!!!!) I panicked each time I turned in a paper expecting a C, but would get an A each time!
Tough grader but if you put in the time and effort, she if more than happy to help you wherever you are lacking. Bubbliest personality and never boring to listen to. There was a total of 3 essays and 1 group project (paper and presentation). We read a total of 2 books w a quiz after every reading assignment. If you did the reading, you'll pass.
I would recommend staying far away from this teacher. She makes snarky remarks when students ask genuine questions and is not understanding or reasonable at all. I'm a straight A student, and had never gotten anything other than an A in college until I took this class. She is mean and unfair- steer clear.
Best teacher I have ever had! She goes above & beyond to help you if you are willing to ask. Interesting books, especially if you like psychology and the mind. Every paper you work in groups to correct each other. It is impossible to fail if you show up and do the work. She is truly passionate and even tears up when you write something beautiful.
McGhee was a great English teacher. I especially liked taking it alone. She assigns psychology based books to read which were all super interesting and not boring. The essays take a long time to write and I felt like I was always writing one, but I got an A on all 7. She gives great feedback. There's a quiz for every book chapter. Take her!
She picked great books that could apply to everyone's interest. Even if you hate reading you will enjoy her assignments. She's not an easy teacher but she is a great coach and will help you earn your grade. She's motivational and truly cares about helping her students succeed. She helped me become a deeper writer and thoughtful reader. Best teacher
She is adorable. I loved taking her class and I honestly learned a lot! I would go to her office hours and she would go over and grade my essays with me and give me personal feedback. You learn a lot of interesting stuff, too! Like psychology. She also teaches grammar, how to write, read, quizzes, etc. Great teacher!
I hated this class. I used to like English throughout K-12 and I always did well in English, but after taking her class now I hate English and I'm scared of having to take it again because I got a D in her class. Take a different teacher.
McGhee is not a boring lecturer. Best of all, she knows how to tell chatting people to shut up, which I just adore. She has a rare enthusiasm for her work and her students success. With that said, all the work she assigns is challenging. Take advantage of her availability and show up for her office and writing center hours.
Reasons you should take the class -you read really interesting Psychology books -She's funny and spunky -very helpful outside of class -fun assignments -she has a British accent -she is also a psychologist
The reading for this class is AWESOME! She's strict and can come off as sort of mean--I took English 1A online & could've easily misinterpreted her tone--but even if it was online she was able to teach me valuable English skills: grammar, punctuation, etc. I recommend her as an English teacher. If she's awesome online, I can't imagine in-person!
Make sure to apply her feedback on papers. I really enjoyed reading the assigned books. Weekly hw but fairly easy. Can be time consuming. For the research paper, do NOT procrastinate... really hard to find good information in a time crunch. Overall, she really elevated my abilities/confidence in writing and introduced me to some amazing authors!
This english class was wonderful! Amazing book choices and they are all interesting reads! The papers that are required are challenging but do-able! Take advantage of the teacher's paper feedback which is a great resource! Additionally, visit the writing center at the JC for additional support. I loved this course so much!!
I tried really hard on my essay's and she just believed they were not good enough. She is a really tough grader. I would not recommend taking her, especially if you are not into psychology. She really wants you to have a great understanding over psychology and if you get one thing wrong she will dock you for it. I would not recommend at all.
Super sweet teacher. Lots of homework but uses canvas so you know what your homework is every day.
Great teacher! Highly recommend to take her class. A good amount of homework, but the books were kind of boring.
We had substitutes for half the semester, but for the half that she spent with us, she was amazing! The papers were easy to write and she is just the sweetest teacher! She gives good feedback and she helped me figure out my writing style! TAKE HER CLASS IF YOU WANT A GOOD TEACHER AND IF YOU WANT TO LEARN ENGLISH
She is an amazing teacher. Would take her again in a heartbeat. Her classes are never boring, and I love her accent. She had quizzes for every reading assignment, so definitely stay on top of reading. She is very approachable when it came to questions about papers and other assignment. Best teacher I've had at the JC.
I'm in Jacqueline's onlineENG1A now and I'm pleased with the class. She thoughtfully writes her "modules" in Canvas, including photos and quotes, that r encouraging + enjoyable when I need it most, which is when I open a new module and feel saddled with a new school assignment workload. This instructor's course eases that issue for me. good books 2
Mcghee is a sweet heart. I personally do not like English however taking English with her did not seem like a drag. Be prepared for in class essays and quizzes on readings and a group project.
I love how McGhee approaches the English course by assigning psychology-related books to read, yet keeping it relevant. She gives great feedback and sees the good in students and motivates those struggling to reach their full potential. There is a lot of reading and writing, as expected, but it was an overall great experience taking her class.
One midterm, one final, two papers, multiple quizzes. Sounds like a lot, but worth it! She grades fairly and accurately. Gives good feedback on how to improve and always willing to help if you ask. Very passionate, fun, and keeps you focused. Midterm can be taken 3 times so thank god! Teaches you how to write proper college paper. 3 books used.
Jacqueline is AWESOME! I still think back on how fun this class was. Very easy to get an A if you stay on top of things. We read 3 fascinating books and wrote 3-4 papers based on topics from the books. Meaningful/engaging lecture content. Accessible after class hours. Learned how to write A1 papers in this class. Can't recommend enough!! Funny too.
She was such an amazing teacher honestly one of my favorites so far she really makes you learn and helps your writing quite a bit. She also is great because she helps you get the best grade you can by working with you on it. Her class is also fairly easy, I only had to write 5 essays in total including midterm essay and final essay.
She is easily one of the best english teachers I have ever had in my life. She narrowed down what I could do better and made essays seem incredibly easy to write. She really cares about you and your success. She met with me and told me how much I've improved. She stated that her goal was to find a students "calling" as a writer. Love her
Professor McGhee is one of the best profs I have had at SRJC. She taught very good material and we had about 2 big writing assignments with which she helped a lot and gave clear feedback on. We have reading three-point quizzes every class; she drops the lowest score. She is always willing to help her students and is very funny!
Loved taking ENG 1A with professor McGhee! This course has been one of my favorite at SRJC, the class is organized and well structured and professor McGhee is extremely caring and wiling to help with anything. I will say the class had a focus on mental health so dont take it if that doesn't interest you.
I absolutely loved taking English 1A with Professor McGhee. She's organized with the course and really cares about her students. She wants you to succeed. We read 2 books during the course that were very interesting and not too long. 4 essays, discussion posts, quizzes (that are easy), and extra credit options. Take her, you won't regret it!
Professor McGhee is personable, reasonable, and has a clear rubric of how she grades papers. The book she assigns are interesting and short enough that it won't swamp you if you are taking other intense classes. In order to get an A in her class you must do (an optional) paper on a book of your choosing that incorporates the themes in her class.
McGhee was so sweet and an amazing teacher! We had an essay on a memoir and a psychology book, and then we had an in-class essay on the film "The Fisher King." All of the content was interesting and she gave really thorough feedback on essays. I took this as a freshman in high school, so definitely an easy A. She is really strict on phones though.
Professor Mcghee is one of the nicest and most understanding professors at SRJC. She let's students not do some assignments due to external issues you may have or just might not have enough time. Only thing is that it is a lot of work but if you try you're grade will reflect on you're effort.
I enjoyed taking Jacqueline's class, only a few big essays, although if you want to get an A you have to read an extra book and essay. One thing to watch out for, she's not great at responding to emails. Several days before the final essay was due, I emailed her with a question, sent multiple follow-ups, and never heard back. Great class otherwise.
Took her English 5 class online and it was a cake walk. If you want an easy A this is it. If you want to actually learn something take another class. I didn't learn anything meaningful let alone any critical thinking skills.
Class was ridiculously easy. Basically didn't learn a single thing. You have a month or more for each essay. Half the semester was about procrastination yet she didn't grade any of my papers till the last week of the semester. Would recommend Johnny Serraf or anyone else really if you want to actually learn something.
Prof. McGhee is really kind, helpful, and a good professor overall. The only issue I had was that I found a lot of information unclear. Prof. McGhee did have to go on leave for a week, which likely affected it. However, I had lots of mix-ups due to unclear communication.
If you are neurodivergent, please take Prof. McGhee. She will GET you, she will SEE you, and make you feel valued and appreciated like no other English teacher I have had before, if you are a good writer who can't handle the almost math style equation that other teachers turn writing into, she will be a breath of fresh air for you.
She was awesome! She was a really easy grader, and when she marks you down she tells you why and how to improve. Most of the course also focuses on how to write well. You are not just graded on your previous writing abilities.
Jacqueline McGhee is a prompt and fair grader, employing contract grading which adds transparency. Her clear course outline sets expectations, and she maintains a respectful atmosphere. The only downside: is an extra essay for an A, but otherwise, solid!
Professor McGhee is an engaging instructor who makes the class enjoyable. The workload is manageable, and she provides clear feedback to help improve writing skills. I found unstuckstudy a helpful tool for preparing for the reading quizzes.
