One of the best math teachers i've had so far. i would love to take her again. very helpful and clear on all of her lectures, tests are based on material covered in class. if you don't understand, just ask. she also has some very inspirational stories and really worked hard to get where she is today. by far loved being in her class would recommend.

Dr. Ward is amazing, I took the 8 week course and it was pretty easy , we work on Aleks . com a lot for free and it's not too bad at all if you use your time wisely, no book used, you can skip class but being there is helpful! She's so sweet and funny , she's clear about grading. She even drops your lowest test score.

She seriously makes it as easy as it can be to understand topics, truly wants her students to get it before moving on & doesn't mind answering any questions. Hands down the best professor I've ever taken. I failed math 3 times before taking her class, and passed because of her teaching style. Her classwork is based solely off the Aleks coursework, so you never feel left behind. Take her class, you won't regret it!!

Ward is a really sweet professor and her class (MATH60/Calc I) is a breeze. Tests are exactly like the study guides, which are frequently exactly like the webassign homework. So accessible she even gives her cellphone number out in the syllabus. Drops two quizzes, no tests. Lectures were alright although sometimes seemed to drag on.

I took Prof. Ward over the winter, and although I'm good at math, it was a struggle to keep an A. There was a lot of homework and weekly tests, but that was because it was a winter class, so it was expected. You do need to work for the grade, but it wasn't impossible. Her lectures were helpful and she's a real gem who truly cares for her students!

Proffesor Ward really takes a lot of time to explains things which is awesome. Also she really loves math and is full of energy all of the time. The only problem with her is that the study guides are not always similar to the tests she gives out, so you really need to know the material.

Dr. Ward was amazing this summer! We worked on Aleks which I really liked because it would not let you move on until you learned the material. She was very interactive with the class and gave great class discussion topics. I would definitely take her again.

She's the most caring prof I've had in my 3yr college career. She's understanding of student needs & problems w/ COVID & wants to help students in & out of class. She gave resources to student aid, mental health services & more. Her tests allowed you to have 2 tries/problem in case you're like me & make silly errors at first. can't recc her enough

This online class was very much based on if you tried or not. Grading was very simple and used Webassign. She does a good job of posting videos and lectures and communication is on point. Put the work in, and this class is not an easy-A, but very much achievable.

Accessible outside of class and so quick to respond. Its calculus so theres def. lots to learn and do. We had 5 exams and 1 final and lots of hwk sets on webassign and a discussion board. Exams were typically due on Friday nights on webassign and the actual handwritten work due Saturday night. Very accommodating/ understanding in todays times.

Was a great choice in having her as my professor. Calc is hard but she really helped if you needed it at any time. Have homework on webassign but have chances to make it up, if you do the practice exam it is very helpful in the actual exam. Exams are due friday at 11:59 but work is due until 2am which is very accommodating. Would highly recommend.

I really appreciate the way she has laid out her online classes. She makes it easy to reach her. This class was based/graded on discussions and exams. Everything else she had was for you to look at, at your own pace. I loved this since I work full time. This class was worth it and Dr. Ward is great.

Took the compressed 6-week version of the 16-week course over the summer (sidetone: if you aren't a math major or fan of calculus, I don't recommend doing it. Brutal.). Aside from the difficulty of the coursework itself, Dr. Ward is an amazing teacher. She won't let you off the hook for any assignment, but is super helpful and easy to reach out to!

Professor wards is amazing, very caring. I love that she honestly wants to see students do well. She's an amazing person overall, if you follow the syllabus and keep up with the course work you'll be fine.

Dr. Ward made calc easy. She sets up her online class in a very easy & effective way. Webassign makes the learning process better too. Practice exams are just like the actual exam (which you have two chance for each ?) I am not a math major and I'm going to end with a solid A! Only complaint: weekly discussion posts get old fast. Ms. Ward is the best teacher I have had for Math at LBCC by far. Calc is really tough, but she explains it well and her notes make it even simpler. The classes are optional, but I would go because she goes over lecture notes, the topic and even homework. She also gives you her phone number to gain help with homework. Dr. Ward is an amazing calculus I professor. I was very nervous about taking calc, especially online. However Dr. Ward made calculus very clear to understand. I really like that exams are Fridays at 11:59pm. Drops the lowest exam and five lowest homework assignments. Overall, I really enjoyed calculus with Dr. Ward, take her class. She is a gem!

Professor Ward is a great professor! She's caring, and explains the material well. She truly wants the best for her students. Class consists of 4 exams including the final (lowest grade gets dropped) as well as assignments on webassign and discussions( Varies on topic, it can be cultural other times it's exam help). Professer Ward was a great teacher. She was always there to help and made it really easy for everyone to reach out. I would say that if math is not your subject, it may take some extra studying to understand some of the content. All hw was on webassign and so were the test. The practice exams on webassign really do help, so I recommend doing them.

Class was online. there were optional zoom sessions. discussions every week but she made them interesting & enjoyable. work was done in aleks so sometimes its alot of work but then again, its a math class so thats normal. great professor. cares about students and is helpful when you have questions.

When I started class I was so afraid because I know that I really don't do well in math. Dr. Ward really made a difference. She made me believe in myself & not be afraid of math! I hope i can give a score higher than 5 as in super awesome instead of just awesome because she really is! the explanations are so easy & she is empathetic to the stdnts.

Professor's lectures are recorded and explained in detail. Homework is done online on Aleks website, and it provides a calculator. Homework can take up a lot of time. This class can be challenging, but Professor Ward is easy to follow. Her first class was very encouraging and help set the tone for a good experience.

Dr Ward makes a challenging & difficult subject WAY more digestible & understandable than any other math prof I've had. I signed up for & dropped 3 calc classes before this one bc I had panic attacks during/after every class, but Dr Ward's gentle & caring approach made this class enjoyable. Prof. Dr. Ward is a priceless treasure. Especially in the teaching of math. She does encourage everyone to do the homework because she truly wants you to learn and succeed. Is available outside of class to help w/ homework questions. She cares, tests fairly and gives 1/5 of the grade to you if you turn in your 'shown work' at the end of the exams.

O.M.G. Dr. Ward is the absolute BEST!! Statistics is tough as nails. However, Dr. Ward makes everything palatable. Show up, DO the WORK, & a top grade is in the bag. Success only comes before work, in the dictionary. So, the Data will show that your efforts correlate with your rewards. She cares about her students & makes success highly probable!!

Dr. Ward is extremely caring! though the material is hard, she sets you up for success. I didnt use the text, as she provides video lectures that are soo helpful. All work is done in Aleks, 1 HW assignment & 1 quiz weekly, 3 midterms, &1 final. the HW is lengthy but its weighted more than the quizzes, so if you do the HW, you will succeed!

I had heard horror stories about statistics, but she presents this class in a way that is very easy to comprehend and is open to discuss any issues you might have. Bi-weekly zoom calls are a huge help, try not to miss them! Do the work and you'll do great!

Understand the lectures and the textbooks. Dr. Ward is always available to answer your questions (via Canvas email, or hangout with her after Zoom). Professor Ward is a very easy going professor. She made stats way more easier to understand. We used Aleks for all assignments which is one of the best website I used for my classes also she drops the lowest exam grade. She makes it clear that she done not want this class to be hard for us and wants us to pass.

I highly recommend Dr. Ward! Statistics is not an easy subject, however, Ward makes it easy to understand with her detailed lectures. As long as you attend zoom or watch the video lectures and put in the effort, you will not fail. Easy to get a hold of, even during the weekend. TIP: use the explanation button on Aleks. Dr. Ward is compassionate to students like me, balancing full-time motherhood and a full-time job. She gives ample time for assignments and allows multiple attempts for homework, quizzes, and exams. Despite the tough subject, her class is a safe space where no question is stupid, and we can ask for help whenever needed.

You have to use the program ALEKS and that is where all of your assignments are. It is honestly a good and straightforward program. Also professor ward is super nice and encouraging and she drops your lowest grades at the end of the semester!

Had Professor Ward for my STATS class and she was amazing. Kept lectures short and simple, very caring and helpful throughout the course. She's a professor who wants you to pass and succeed. Among that her homework was fairly easy and she is super reasonable with grading. Other than that I would defiantly recommend taking her course.

Take Dr. Ward! The course itself is very easy, and even if you are not a fan of math, as long as you put in the effort, you can earn an A. She allows you to drop your two lowest homework assignments, as well as one test and one quiz! She genuinely cares about your success and is there to support you. Dr Ward was a very helpful professor. Teaches with lecture at a good rate and also goes over the aleks homework on how to solve the problems and if any questions addressed she clarifies it clearly. When taking exams they are only about 17 problems at most and you get about 3 hours to finish.She allows notes and no zoom needed. Highly recommend her!

She is an amazing Professor, all the work will be done through Aleks there will be homework for at least 10-11 chapters , quizzes , and exams 3 plus the final. You need to put the work in and study with the homework she is giving you questions are similar to HW questions. Do all her practice exams because the questions are similar to the exam.

She allows notes on exams, has online lectures recorded, is clear during her lectures and tries to take her time to make sure she explains herself enough. I actually waited to take her class because of the good reviews on rate my professor and I'm grateful I did. Highly recommend.

When she says "Be open minded," when it comes to learning the content for this class, take the advice. Be graceful and patient toward yourself when trying to understand the content, because if this is entirely new to you as it was for me, you are bound to be hard on yourself sometimes! She allows notes on all exams too!
