She's fun, presents the material in a great way, and makes the arduous process of learning how to write a good essay a very palatable endeavor. She will work with you, she's very fair, but don't arrive late and DON'T miss class. Highly recommend! (note: her Osceola campus classroom smells funny.. I don't know why.)

I definitely recommend her! I had the chance to opt. out of Comp I and had I taken that opportunity, I would have missed out on learning under my best teacher so far. She really is great and I am a better writer for taking her class.

I don't know who said she was bad, because she is great. Look at literally every other entry besides yours...ALL POSITIVE. She's literally the best teacher, but you wouldn't know since you wrote "Thinks, blah blah blah i dont know english" Seriously, take her, she is smart, helpful and clear. Not easy, but so worth the effort.

She made this class so easy and explained everything crystal clear. It's english so you have to write essays of course, but she gives a hand out for what is expected for each paper and it helps you a lot. She's a fair grader and definitely willing to help and has a good sense of humor. Definitely going to take her for Comp II. :)

this is a hard class because there is a lot of work, but she is not that bad.. if you do what she say... its all good. no tests but quizes. 5 essays, 4 out of 7 responses papers. just follow instructions and you will get a good grade

There is not much to say - she is the best professor I've had at VCC. Take her class if you can because it will improve your writing. Be creative - if it's already been said, you don't need to write it too.

Jacquelyn Zuromski is the best teacher ever. If the class has a good group discution in every response paper, they won't have a final exam. The final will be then the last essay that the class were doing. 3 mandatory essays and everybody can make up the bad grade of essays by doing another one. 4 response papers, and you are done. =]

I actually took Professor Zuromski for both ENC 1101 and 1102. She was wonderful and even though English has never been my strong suit when it has come to writing I still made an A in both courses :)Word of advice you better be on time she will mark you late even by a min. she gives the lay out to you clear as day just do as instructed sure 2 get A

Professor Zuromuski is a great professor. She is very organized; as long as you follow THE RUBRIC you will pass the class with an ?A?. She takes attendance, so make sure that you are not late for class, she hates when students walk in late. This class is simple, come to class,FOLLOW THE RUBRIC,& turn your work in on time.

JZ is really down to earth. There is a lot of writing, but they are smaller papers compared to other comp classes. All the essays are required to be around 3 pages in length. Her grading to be very easy and fair. And she always writes something on your paper after grading for a more personal touch with her students. Fun class.

Awesome teacher. Very helpful, a few essays but she guides you through them and at the end you come out with a great understanding of what it takes to write a great essay. Easy class, and you leave knowing the material.

Discussion are always interesting and the work load is bearable. The papers are fun to write because she has you write about your own experiences. Do the work, proof read it and turn it in on time. Prof Zuromski always brings up funny analogies in class that I can definitely relate to. Her syllabus is really clear and she has everything planned out for the whole semester on day 1. wish I could take her for comp 2!!!!

She's the best, you have to take her. The whole schedule planned out for you from the first day, only have to write 3 out of 5 response papers and 3 out of 5 essays. So funny and great discussions.

Professor Zuromski is without a doubt the best teacher at Valencia Community College. She is hilarious, easy to talk to, brings up wonderful commentary - a lot like Jim Carrey. The Papers are extremely easy to write if you follow the Rubric. I wish I could take her for Math haha.

I really loved Professor Zuromski's class. She's an awesome professor. If you attend class and do all of your assigned essays and homework you will PASS her class. I wish I could take her for CompI. If you want to learn more about writing skills take Professor Z. She's very structured and well organized. She was always on time and prompt for class.

I don't like writing or english at all and I am extremely lazy. So, you can guess why I got a B in this class. She gives 5 essays in which if you get an A in the first, you don't have to do the second. And you only do 3 RP. So, great teacher.

Shes nice and enthusiastic teacher.NO TXTBOOK REQ! as long as you do your homework on time its an easy A. only had one research paper, but she broke it up so it took half of the semester!then just reading an easy book for the rest and made up our own test questions.answers questions. Shes the best! :) btw im not even a fan of ENC classes.

Prof. Zuromski was BY FAR the BEST college teacher I have ever had. She made the class current and fun. I learned a ton of writing techniques that I will totally be able to use later in my career. Her class is a lot of work, but It's fun. If you keep up with it, it's easy. I wish she taught other subjects.

she is an amazing prof. lots of papers to write but i love a challenge. she breaks it into categories. one for essays,second for response papers, and the last for workshops. she lets you pick 3 out of 5 response papers to write and etc. you need only one book for her class..the 75 plus. she is nice funny and helpful. really enjoyed her class :)

Great professor. Every assignment in her class is per a schedule that she provides on the first day. She is clear with the instruction regarding the assignments. Take her class, she will do everything possible to help you get an A.

Great professor. She makes it very clear what exactly she expects from her students and tries to keep the class entertained. There was homework given and you had to read & write papers but what else does one expect from a comp class. I still found it easy and I would recommend her!

GREAT PROFESSOR! How can you not get a "B" at the very minimum. No exams or tests! Read the pieces and do the response papers (she likes the letter style). If you score an A on Essay 1, 3, & 5 you don't have to do 2 or 4...Oh Yea! Final is a breeze. Only downside was my class had some "clueless" students, but she handles them very well. Take JZ!

Zurmoski is really nice! She grades fairly and gave quite a bit extra credit. Class was fun and she usually gave interesting assignments. Only a couple quizzes. Write one paper and a bunch of annotated bibliographies. Final was hard because it was true or false but it wasn't worth much at all. Ended up with an A easy.

Most amazing teacher ever! Take her if you want to improve your writing. Class required work which I was willing to do and I made and A ;-)

JZ wants you to be the best writer you can be. There is a lot of work but it is necessary for craft improvement. Take her! She had me hanging on to every word.

I loved every minute of this class! I was dreading having to take English, but she made it really fun. 5 essays and 3 response papers, but if you get an A on essay 1 and 2, you don't have to do 3 and 4!! Class attendance is mandatory, there are a lot of in class grades, but as long as you're there and give it a try, it's easy.

Proff. Z was great. With all the writing and evaluating I really learned about other peoples writing and most importantly my own. She was really passionate about this class and the Phoenix, which shows. No textbook, but plenty of work.

Best instructor ive had she keeps you in line with her no non-sense policy and basically if you know how to follow directions you will pass

She is an excellent teacher. I love her strategies in writing and her class is so much Fun! I can wait to take her in Comp 2. If you are registered in her class, then call her JZ. She deserves to be called that.

With any class, you get what you put in. I took JZ for two terms and relished in every min. She genuinely cares about students and wants them to succeed but she's not going to do the work for you. Her insightful feedback help improve my writing which got me published! Take her, show up, do the work, and get a fairly easy A.

She is a VERY funny lady, for the semester she gave us a choice of using any 3 ed. of the same textbook (75 readings plus) to save money. Assignments are easy completion time of 1.5hr-2hr. Quizzes are scarce. Final depends of the majority of class and what they learned. Don't be late for her class. Teaches very well.

Best English teacher EVER. Those how thought the class was hard must not have followed her very clear instructions. You DO have to work in this class, she's not going to just hand you an A. She is very friendly and makes discussions easy, inviting everyone to participate - which is part of your grade. DO THE WORK an you'll be fine. :)

Personally I've always excelled in writing, but one thing I particularly liked about her is how clear she is with what she wants from you. Rubric for everything! You have to put depth in your essays (easy for me) but she really helps you with w/e you need. 9 assigned essays but 3 are optional if you score an A. :)

This class was easy to pass as long as you did the work and study. The professor does grade hard to prepare for college courses, other than that she is a good professor.

Mrs Zuromski is a great professor. She knows a lot and is always available to help students after class, by e-mail or in her office hours. Comp. I is not a easy course but she is there to help if you struggling, that's really matters to me! She upload the book content that we need on blackboard. You don't need to buy it!

One of the few professors that actually knows how to teach. Her lectures are very long and she's very strict but that balances out when she tells you exactly what she needs in her papers. if you want to learn I suggest you take her. Also if you get over a 90 on the first paper you don't have to do the second one & the process repeats for 4 papers

One of my favorite professors at Valencia. Outlines exactly what she expect and what day things are due, on the first day of class. 3 response papers and 5 essays (only 3 are required if you score high enough on the other 2). DO NOT buy text book, she will give you the readings you will need. Amazing teacher, I cannot wait for Comp II with her!

I have become a better writer from taking this course! She goes into a lot of depth about how to decipher research you see on the internet to avoid believing false information. She also prepares you to write a college admission essay which was my favorite assignment thus far! Tough grader but she does care about your success!

Prof JZ is amazing. I learned a some new things especially about poetry, and I loved the opportunity to discuss and edit other people's works. The class was small and Prof JZ worked personally with each one of us. Being part of the Phoenix magazine and having her guiding me along the way was one of the best things I did at Valencia College.

I loved her class. If you fail her class then that is 100% your fault. She does nothing but works with her students to not only make sure they pass but to make sure they know the material. She does assign class discussions but they're easy. She helped me become a much better writer. Definitely recommend taking her course!

She has a different grading method where there 2 categories: category 1 which is only complete/incomplete type of evaluation and a category 2 with a regular 100 points base. She also offers revisions for 2 category 2 papers.
