Best teacher ive taken thus far! Definitley recommend her im trying to get an Engineering degree and software design seemed like it wasnt my cup of tea. She made it easy to understand, very helpful, and gives the class amazing input. This class may sound intimidating but not by a long shot because of her!

Programming is not easy if you follow the study guide and practice a lot you will be fine. Our final was online but all other quizzes and exam are in class. She is so funny you won't get bore. No need to buy book

You get out what you put into, with regards to this class. Mrs. Jones is funny, lightens the mood of the class, and genuinely wants you to succeed. However, programming is not easy. Do your homework, read the textbook on your own time, review the pp slides, AND ask questions. Do most of this and you'll do just fine.

In my opinion professor Jones is a very good professor. She is fair with her grading. I've had her for two classes and she makes boring topics fun and interesting. If a student doesn't understand something, she doesn't mind going over it numerous times. She actually cares about her students and how well they understand the concepts.

I have read some of the bad comments from previous students. She is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is very open and honest and even lets the class know when she makes a mistake. She does give some extra credit points on the exam. She also has a fluid syllabus and will slow things down if she feels students aren't understanding.

Will be easy if you have a bit of programming background. She lacks some knowledge but tries really hard to help out. She keeps skipping classes, but she gives out extra points in return. Email her and she will reply back right away. highly recommend her for a beginning class.

Great professor, answer your every question. Attendance is mandatory because you will one point of attending a class. The class was very fun and enjoyable. I would definitely take her again. You do get a homework , if you pay attention to the lectures, PowerPoint, and homework you will be fine.

Easy A... yup .. I said it ... Professor Jones is one of the coolest teacher I have ever had.(period) She gave out extra credits, go easy mode on your homework, pointing out where is wrong and how to fix it. She had great sense of humor for making a lot of jokes, she always want you to ask her any question about the chapter or homework.

First professor to banter back and fourth with students. Makes the class entertaining, and helps to keep students engaged. More than willing to help if you don't understand something. Lenient grader, provides accurate information as to what will be on the test, no curve balls for the most part.

Sometimes contradictory in lecture, so pay attention and ask questions. It's not her fault, but difficult subject matter with many different code languages having different rule sets. Does a good job teaching the material, I just wish she'd catch her contradictions and explain instead I wind up with my notes saying 2 diff things

I wish Professor Jones taught more classes. She engages with students and reviews what will exactly be on each exam. If you study and review the study guides and homework assignments you should pass the class.

Professor Jones is a very good professor. Many of the students in my class did not want to put in the work. She reviews all the homework in depth and the exams are very similar to what is in the study guide. She ensures every understands before she moves on to the next topic. I would take her again if I could. I received a B in the class.

Honestly, I think everyone who can take her... should take her. She's really chill and funny. She's one of the best professors I've ever had. There's going to be a lot of work. If you don't do well on the first two exams, you're still going to be okay because all the work you do will add up.

Good professor, always entertaining. ITE 115 is an easy class. You'll have HW online(So you'll need the MyLabIT code, but I didn't touch the textbook once). She's real nice and making things up at the end of the semester. But you need to show up for the tests.

She is an awesome and laid back professor, but will take your phone to prove a point. Don't leave your phone sitting on the desk next to you, keep it in your pocket and you will enjoy her class lol. She always gives them back, for the record. Also, she allows plenty of time to make up exams and late work. She is the greatest.

Professor Jones is great! She is hilarious and you will really enjoy her class. She let the students make groups an the start of the semester and work on each and every assignment together. There is a big final project for the class and its divided into parts so it doesn't become a burden at the end. The final exam was little bit tough. "A" class.

Professor Jones made ITE170 very fun. It was a little rough in the beginning due to the constant interruptions by other students, but in the end it was worth it taking her. She gave a project at the end that we had to present which was fun to do the whole semester.

Professor Jones is a great professor! She goes around and ensures every students code isn't "breakable". We learned a lot from her. She spends a lot of time evaluating each students code. It's like a competition to see if she can find defects in our code.

Jade Jones jokes around a lot but nothing is serious, this class is not hard. Just pay attention and you will probably pass. There are 4 programming assignments that are almost identical to the exams and most exams are open book.

Jade Jones is a very friendly professor who is easy to get along with. She knows a lot about the topics she is presenting and explains things in a way that makes things clear to students. She also encourages students to participate and does everything she can to ensure no one get's left behind.

She is very good at teaching and knows a lot about the subject, you need to pay attention and finish all your work on time.

Prof. Jones was a great professor for those who already know a good bit about java. I took the pre req class got an A and taking her class was very difficult for me. Never the less she was very understanding and does everything in her power to help out. Definitely take her if your a fast learner or already know a little bit of java.

Professor Jones is well respected by students and very knowledgable within the field - The class is lecture heavy but she does her best to make it as enjoyable as possible. She will go out of her way to make sure you understand the material, answer questions, etc.

Professor Jones was an easy A. She is the only professor I had last semester that did not put me to sleep. Most classes we reviewed part of our homework in class before it was due. She made software design an easy concept to understand.

This is my first semester taking an IT course at NOVA. ITE-119 is a challenging course. Professor Jones was very flexible with me and even helped me outside of class when trying to understand difficult material. Her lectures aren't boring like most professors and she uses real life examples. She is also very responsive to email.

She's a realistic, fair, and caring teacher. There's a bunch of programming assignments/exams, however as long as you do all the work you should be fine. You'll need to attend every class if you want to get a good grade. Even missing one class can put you behind. There's a textbook for the class, however I didn't end up using it.

Professor Jones was very responsive to all of my emails. I enjoyed having her as a professor. She made dry material enjoyable to learn. The exams and programming assignments were difficult, but Java is not meant to be easy.

Professor Jones was a pretty good professor, The first 8 weeks were better, but due to COVID-19 the next 8 weeks were more difficult. I emailed her numerous times during our remote learning and she responded and answered most of my questions.

Miss Jones was a very good professor. She stopped class every time someone had a question to review practice problems. She also reviewed the programming assignments in class to help us understand and prepare for the exams. Some of the lectures were long and boring.

Java is not an easy course. You have to work hard and do a lot of work after class to understand the content. A lot of students wanted the class to be easy. Professor Jones was very responsive. Her lectures we better in person, but that's not her fault. It was probably easier for me because I had a good base for programming.

I had Professor Jones for another class. Just like last time she was great. She worked with me to help me understand what I did wrong on my programming assignments. She was also was very responsive via email.

The first time I took this class was with another prof, I failed. The second time I took it was with her and I got an A! She's funny but, makes you work hard for the grade. For the HTML & Microsoft Office projects go to the tutoring center or online tutoring. 3 projects per office product PPT, Word, Excel, & Access but, they aren't too difficult.

Professor Jones is a great teacher! I had her for 2 other classes and just like those classes she was great. She does teach a little fast at times but if you review the material covered in class and do what is required you should have no issue passing the class.

I took this course in a 6 week format. I wish I would have been advised to take the course in a longer format. Professor Jones answered all my questions whether it was in person or by email. She gave me constructive feedback and even helped me so I could possibly get a leg up on Java when I do decide to take it. She is tough, but caring.

I would not recommend taking this class in a 6 week format. It was very difficult and professor Jones moved through the material too fast for me to understand. She did however answer all my emails whenever I had a questions.

Java is no joke. The programming assignments were difficult. Professor Jones did move back the dates on on exams and programming assignments if she felt like we needed more time which helped me a lot.

I would have preferred the class was face to face, but Prof Jones did what she could. She asnwered my emails when I had questions and reviewed a couple of my programming assignments before they were to do to give me some pointers.

16-week zoom. She is a good professor. The best thing that I liked about this class with her that the tests/exams were open book and open notes. She does give a lot of work, pay attention in her lectures and read the textbook then you're good. The amount of work she gives gets overwhelming but its not impossible. Do not take less than 16 week. GL!!

I took Professor Jones for an 8 week ITE-119 course. There was a lot of work, but she made it manageable. She often extended due dates. All of our exams were open book open note. She is very laid back and helped me learn a lot about IT.

I took Java during a 16 week zoom session due to COVID. All of our exams were open book and open note. Almost every program assignment was extended if the class needed more time. Java is not easy, but allowing us to use our notes made it wasier for me.

She relies on her lectures, which are from the textbook, but they do not cover ALL little details in the textbook. If you want to succeed READ THE CHAPTERS IN THE TEXTBOOK BEFORE THE LECTURE (youll get more out of it). Her tests are open note

ITN 100 was an easy A. All of the work is easy and straight forward. The exams were open note exams. I did not like the group work for the case studies, but Professor Jones did mix up the groups in the middle of the semester.

This course is very hard esp. if you have never coded. Miss Jones answered my emails and also gave me help on most programming assignments before they were due. My only complaint is we get a lot of homework. The programming assignments are hard.

Took Profsser Jones for a night class for ITP100. The class was not easy. The exams are just like the programming assignments. If you review the solutions to the programming assignments and use that for the exam you should get a good grade on the tests. All exams are all open book which helps a lot.

This was the easiet class. There is a lot of work, but if you do the work it is an easy A. Exams were open note. The final exam was a little irritating becaues of cengage.

ITE115 is a pretty cool course. The homework, quizzez, and test were all easy. The toughest part was the final exam because the software wants you to put in your answers there way.

This class is an easy A. Due dates are laid out the beginning of the course. Only issue is I took 8 week course. There was a lot of work, but if you plan ahead you can get the word one. She does not accept late work, but some assignments are due usually on Sundays at midnight. The usual is 1-2 weeks to do assignments and 1 week to complete exams.

Class is easy. I don't like that we have to use cengage. Other than that this class is an easy A.

She is super nice, her class was super easy. She does assign a lot of busy work & sometimes won't explain steps all the way through. For a month we did meet for classes so we had to teach ourselves a bit, but the course material is easy. Open note quizzes & tests, 1 major presentation & 1 major assignment.

This class was not easy, but Mrs. Jones made the class enjoyable and somewhat easy to learn. You will have to put in some work, but you can get an A if you listen and pay attention to her review of the program assignments and preparation for the exams.

Never coded before but Professor was patient and encouraging. Lots of outside practice/studying and you will succeed, hard exams that are a large part of the grade. Gives time in class to ask and work on program labs. One quiz/program lab per week, 3 exams, a couple program assignments. Wants to help students succeed.

Great professor, if you are not ready to work then dont take her class, if you are not there to learn, please do yourself a favor and take a different professor. If you are there to learn then she is the one for you but be prepared to put in the work.

For a first time coder this class was pretty difficult. The lecture is her just reading off of slides but the exams are open book and open note. Not many assignments so grade is reliant on doing good on exams. If your new to coding you will need extra help, she does give help but the exams are kind of long. pretty easy to bring concerns too.

I took this class in the summer and it was very straight forward. The exams were straight forward. Everything we reviewed for the exam was similar to what Professor Jones put in the exam.

This was an easy A class. The lectures were fun and the professor kept us engaged. The hardest part of the class are the projects, but the professor will work with you if there is something you do not understand. She will also go through the projects in class with you. The end of the semester group project was fun.

she's good overall easy class, she's pretty funny she'll be late often overall you don't need any of the lectures cause she just reads the slides and for the exams- i just copied and pasted the notes into chat and it gave me great notes for the open-book exams and then just ask it to make you practice exams. overall you'll be fine.
