Very fair marker, interesting lectures. One of the best prof's iv had in the school!

Doesn't use powerpoints so its hard to get down everything she says in lecture. She posted reviews after every week though and everything we needed to know for exams was in the reviews. Taking notes is helpful for points to use in essays but I think its possible to get a decent mark in this class without doing the readings.. Just study her reviews.

Excellent lecturer, very well organized. You have to take fast notes and a lot of them. One of the most helpful people ever. She is very nice, the class itself is harder especially for a first year class though. But in terms of HER, she is lovely

lectures are interesting, she talks fast (hey, she's passionate, thats good) and doesn't supply notes on the board nor online. does however give you questions and terms to review that help with her tests. i got away with doing minimal readings and still did well, but that was not the case for the majority.

She is really nice and approachable. The tests are easy and she usually gives most questions ahead of time. She's a really fair marker when it comes to tests and essays.

Don't have to buy a textbook for the class, have 4 reading responses that are informal and no specific format is required. Show up to class and you will be fine, only have 2 tests.

Amazing professor. This class is a GPA booster. You get to watch TV and movies in her class. It's a fun class and you can tell she loves what she is teaching. She's really funny and connects with the class. She also goes over sample questions to her midterm and makes sure you really know what will be on the exam. Great class, great professor!

Dr. Weimer really knows her stuff and she's really willing to answer any questions you have. Before every test she posts a review that basically has everything you need for the test. Her notes are a bit all over the place and sometimes hard to follow though. Overall she's a great prof, and she's pretty hot too ;)

Absolutely fantastic! Lectures are engaging and great for note taking. She encourages students to ask questions and doesn't make you feel like an idiot for asking. Deadlines for reading reflections/ essays are fixed, but she gives fair warning. The tests are straightforward and easy to score high on.

For the amount of reading and writing I feel like this course should be considered W course. There are two assignments (essay style) and one big research project. Weimer gives good feedback on assignments. If you put in the work, you will do well in this course. There are no exams and no textbook required. She is very helpful and stays in touch.

Dr. Weimer is a fantastic prof! I took this course in June and it was awesome. Had to make sure you read the textbook as she had pop quizzes relating to the textbook but was easy if you read the chapters. Had two essays but she made her grading criteria clear to students and will give you advice on your papers if you ask. Great GPA booster class!

I took RLGN 1324 online and she was great. She provided exceptional feedback on each assignment, so you knew exactly what needed to be done to improve. I'd take another class with her!

Professor Weimer is a very intelligent and fantastic prof. She always answers questions and gives great feedback. She really cares for her students and wants them to do well. She has office hours if you need to stop by for some help and she's super nice too. She gives everything beforehand and is by far one of the best profs at this school.

Great prof, very easy and forgiving marker. Extended the deadline for assignments several times , and mostly grades on effort. The course itself is boring / pointless, only reason I took it was to get my "W" requirement over with. The textbook isn't really needed, just use the course notes + google. Requires maybe 2-3 hours per week to get an A.

She was my favourite prof at university thus far. Took this class for my W requirement and the coursework turned out to be easier than expected. No final exam which was a blessing. 3 tests, a research paper, and online discussions are what make up your grade. Don't need to get the textbook because her class notes are detailed. Great class!

TAKE THIS COURSE IN CLASS!! That way you don't have to write a final exam. I'm an engineering student and on top of my other 5 exams, I have to study for this one which is extremely frustrating because it's a lot of material to review, especially for an elective course. Prof is great however, highly recommend her. Nothing negative to say.

Professor Weimer is a great Professor! She was the best professor I had this year. She provides us with really good notes for every unit and also gives a set of study questions which will be very helpful for the final exam. Dr. Jade is probably THE MOST caring and compassionate professor that you will ever meet at the U of M. She actually treats you like a student instead of a number! Took the online course this past semester with Dr. Weimer. All assignments and the final assessment are fairly straightforward so long as you take your time with the material. I emailed her a draft of the short essays before each due date and she was helpful and specific on what I should add to get a perfect grade nearly every time. Very good prof

I really enjoyed her class. Her response times were varied, sometimes I'd get a quick response, sometimes it would be a bit longer. She gave me really good feedback on the assignments which I really appreciated and actually helped me improve. The content was really interesting.

I took this class during the summer term for one month and it actually turned out really good. She was very helpful outside and after class. A good gpa booster. Tests were easy and straightforward, she gave a reviewer and the questions were mostly there. Must read the books and come to class as well as take good notes!!

Jade Weimer is clear with her instructions, she sticks to the syllabus (no surprises) and gives good, clear feedback. She's also very friendly and approachable, and theres no textbook for this course! I wasn't very interested in religion prior to her class, but she's helped me look at religion in a new way & now I'm more interested in the subject

Took RLGN 1450 as a W requirement and ended up really enjoying the course. 2 Term tests, 4 papers (2 page max) and a participation grade. She does unit reviews where she takes the test questions from, also has review classes where she'll give you the answers to said questions. Only thing to be careful of is she talks a lil fast, be ready to write

Jade is by far one of the best profs i've had during my university experience. Attendance is mandatory as it consists of 10% of your final grade. EASY A. Definitely a GPA booster. she also gives good feedback . I've taken 4 RLGN courses with her.

Prof Weimer is amazing and great at speaking and giving lectures. This class involves bringing in some media examples you are interested in such as music lyrics . Tests were marked tough so make sure you are very clear what you are saying and include examples. Was sad when this class was over, definitely take this class!

Excellent course, very good instructor who replies to emails quickly. You really need to know your material for the papers, and the exam was difficult; but if you put in the effort, you get a good mark. Also she is a solid hottie.

Prof. Weimer is a hard grader but is obviously passionate about what she teaches. Quickly responds to all questions and concerns. Pay attention and take lots of notes and you will do fine.

There were 6 interactive assignments(mini essays - super easy), weekly discussions(10 in total), an essay outline, a 1500 word essay, and the final exam.

She's an incredible professor - not only does she teach well, she's very willing to answer any questions and clarify stuff if needed. Our course had 4 weekly discussions, a short mini essay, the research paper, super easy quizzes, and the final exam! As long as you go to class and listen, its not that hard to pass. Definitely take with her!

Great Prof! Every approachable, answers emails and questions, always willing to help. Assignments had were 2 papers. Prof marks fair! Prof doesn't post notes, attendance is mandatory. Tests are easy if you study. When you answer questions on test do not just answer the question give as much detail as possible and you will score high!!

Very caring and helpful prof, even for an online course. Course itself is not too hard you just have to put in the time. Use the textbook and pay attention to her pointers and tips and you'll get a good grade.

Great prof! Dr. Weimer was super quick in responding to questions sent via email (this was an online class). Her marking was very fair for all mini assignments and the essay. Her final exam was straightforward. The course itself is content heavy as the chapters of the textbook are fairly lengthy. Focus on the key concepts and you'll be fine.

I like how the course materials are pretty easy and she gives good grades as well, as long as you put of effort into it. Shes also very accessible through emails and reach out to her students once in a while. You will never go wrong choosing her

She was a great prof and the class was pretty straight forward. As long as your read the notes provided and attend lectures, youll do fine. We were required to write three response questions, minimum 2 pages. As long as you interpret her ideas that she mentions in lecture into your response, youll get a good mark.

Jade is a very easy marker with clear grading criteria. She gives good feedback and cares a lot about her students, being very accessible outside of class. She constantly keeps you up to date and reminds you about important deadlines. Easy A if you put some effort into your papers can do well on the final, A+ is rare as you need a 95 overall.

Jade is the best prof I have met in U of M since I started schooling here, she wants you to pass, at the same time making sure you understand the materials to the best of her ability. Its so obvious she loves what she does! Best prof hands down! I definitely would recommend and would like to take more courses under her.

Her class is an easy B+, but hard A. She grades quite generously for anything below an A-level. If you need an average booster take her class. She gives you notes and tells you what to expect. Her feedback is detailed so you know how to improve. Nice person with interesting classes.

Dr. Weimer presented each unit with great detail (without bias) and clarified any misunderstanding or questions each student had in the lectures. She was very understanding when it came to writing assignments in this pandemic and graded compassionately. Keep in mind that this is a writing course and there will be (short) weekly assignments.

Dr. Weimer is a gem and a wonderful professor! The books for this class are required to do well, there are lecture summaries/discussion posts due every week which are easy to do, 3 reading responses, the research essay (which is marked most heavily on, so be sure to do well) and a final. This is my second time taking a class w/ Dr. Weimer and she is a great prof. She held Zoom meetings to answer q's on the final even though its a DE course. Dr. Weimer responds quick to email, grades fairly and is clear in her expectations of students. Assignments aren't difficult or terribly time consuming.

Professor Weimer explains the material very clearly and is great at answering questions. It's super obvious that she wants you to do good and is passionate about the material. She even lets you send her your paper outlines and thesis statement and gives great feedback. She's also super accessible through email and responds quickly

She was understanding of circumstances surrounding online learning, her lectures are clear, unbiased and super interesting and she responds to emails quickly. Boring class, good prof. Cares about what she teaches. Don't expect A+ without exceptional work, but A is quite manageable. 4 assignments, 1 is big. Final exam was fair, tight on time but relatively easy content, open book. Very understanding, and provides lots of practice questions, highly advised to do them. I do recommend attending lectures.

Amazing prof. I took this class as my W course and it was wonderful. This prof is just fantastic, so helpful, and great lectures. I was sceptical about taking a religion course but she made it totally worthwhile. Her lectures outlined the books we used SO WELL and really helped you actually understand what was going on. 100% recommend!

Jade is amazing. This was the largest class I've ever taken, but she answered all emails clearly and in a timely manner. She would host Zoom info sessions and post clarifications on UM Learn constantly to make sure everyone was aware of deadlines and expectations. Easily the most engaged prof I've ever had, and this class didn't even have lectures!

Real GEM of a prof! No questions asked!

Jade was a great Prof who cares about her students and wants them to do well. The Final is on zoom, and since this class has always had an in-person exam I think it is fair to have cameras on. People who are complaining about the final being on zoom are just sad they can't cheat. If you actually take the time to learn the material you'll do fine.

I'm in Engineering and took her RLGN 1324 course as my written requirement. If I could, I would take more courses from Jade! Provides excellent feedback on the assessments and is very accommodating. She gave feedback to 275 students' 7-8 page essays in under a month just to reach the VW deadline! Jade is a prof you want to teach your W courses

Jade B Weimer is the best professor you can ever hope for. I mainly took this course after I took her other two, Eastern Religions and Religion & Healing. And I would gladly take a fourth one if possible. Great Credit boosters. If you're interested in Religions DO NOT SKIP IT. 100% would recommend. She's super nice, humble, and replies fast.

Exceptional professor! Professor Weimer gives great and thorough feedback even though she marks all the essays herself AND there are almost 300 students in the class. She posts weekly updates on UMlearn, responds quickly and respectfully, and is just a wonderful human being! We had weekly discussion posts, 1 large essay, 3 small essays and an exam.

Smart, reasonable, good feedback, fair exam. However, she announced the exam format much too late imo. Studying for an open book exam is completely different than for closed book with 1 cheat sheet and all of my other classes had expressed their plan for the final months before she gave us a definitive answer. Other than that no complaints.

I have taken three courses with her, and would love to take another. She is very helpful and straight forward. No surprises. Grading was very fair and straight forward as well!

Lectures were mandatory for lecture summaries and there was a lot of reading but she goes over a lot of the material in class. She also has good reviews before tests. If you need a writing credit, definitely take it with her. She's very nice :D

I've taken two courses with her and if you go to the lectures and just read the slides you will do really well on the tests. She's a great prof and doesn't try to make the questions difficult it's mostly recall.

This class was really great. Light workload (weekly discussion post, 2 papers, 2 tests). As long as you read her notes and assigned texts, it is an easy A. Lectures can sometimes drag on but she likes to connect the material to modern pop culture with fun references which make them lighthearted despite the heavy subject.

Hehe shes so cool. Her assignments were kind of fun and she gives very good feedback. Overall the class was really insightful! The midterm and final exam were VERY easy! I got by without even reading the texts and studying the class notes :)) There are two papers you'll need to write but they're not too difficult once you start.

Her lectures and lecture notes are very easy to follow and she makes sure you understand. She includes lots of fun examples of what we are talking about that I appreciate. Her grading so far has been generous. I feel that she is good at keeping personal bias out of her teaching, which is important in RLGN courses. Good experience in her class!

Dr. Weimer provided AMAZING PowerPoint course notes and test reviews on UMLearn! I got through the course just by looking over the PowerPoint course notes and doing the test reviews. The content itself was also interesting and easy to follow. 10 weekly discussion posts, 2 out of 4 paper topics, and 2 MCQ tests. Highly recommend for a gpa booster!

Jade was the best professor I've had yet. Her lectures and examples were very engaging and easy to understand as she often connected them to well-known topics of the students (pop culture). The textbooks were not heavy and easy to get through. Attendance wasn't mandatory but it was beneficial as she simplified complicated concepts. Great class.

Shes a decent professor, at the end of each unit she gives a review sheet of what will be on the exam and it makes it really easy to study what will be on the exams. Overrall shes nice but she does not accept any late discussion posts no matter the circumstance lol.

Jade's awesome! She's so knowledgeable, and goes into every lecture with amazing energy. She's caring, and as a result gives great personal feedback on essays! Her grading criteria is fair, and it's not too difficult to do well in the course if you give a solid effort! I'll mention her tests are a bit tricky, so make sure to study for those!

Interesting class, but expect a lot of reading and writing assignments. The professor is fair with grading, but can be a bit strict. Engage with the course material and utilize study resources like unstuck AI to succeed.

I didn't expect how interesting this class would be. It was really easy to understand and she gave very clear study guides based on the lecture slides. Didn't do any of the readings but if you do those guides, the tests are easy. Papers are short too. Overall very nice professor!
