This Professor is great at teaching and she is hot so why not take the class. But with all jokes aside this was a very interesting class to take. Just do your work and everything will be fine.

Very interesting class. I really didn't know what humanities was. It made me go to galleries which I would not have done on my own but was enjoyable.

Professor Haugh was amazing. She truly is there to teach you. She is hip and easy to talk to. Would take the class again!

Participation, attendance is vital

I'm not particularly a fan of this subject area and took the class solely as a requirement, that being said professor haugh made it painless to get through and if you attend class the work is msih limited to power points and two papers and is super manageable

I really enjoyed this class. I didn't really have an interest in Humanities until I took this class. Professor Haugh is very enthusiastic about teaching and you can tell she really cares about teaching. There is a lot of reading involved but as long as you show up to class and listen to the lectures and participate you will be fine. She is great!

I really do not like writing or the humanities class I thought they were boring. Professor Haugh makes it interesting and not a drag like other class. Definitely recommend her classes! Easy A if you participate & write your papers on time.

Professor Haugh is such a nice person, I don't think she has a bad none in her body. Her class was really simple, the lectures were going over pictures in the book, quizzes are open book, papers are easy and she's clear about what she wants. I would take her again because she doesn't make the class boring and is very passionate about humanities!

Best professor at FSW! Very easy class just analyzing art, writing intensive course had 4 papers to write 2 for an art museum and 2 four page papers for midterm/finals. Had group quizzes that were easy. It's helpful to browse through chapters and analyze the pictures before to class. I would take any of professor Haugh classes she the coolest!

She's a super nice professor and is willing to accommodate you. She does take attendance, but it's worth five percent of the grade and she won't fail you if you don't show up. She gives group quizzes at the start of each class that require you to analyze art. She loves hearing different interpretations and genuinely loves art and its history.

She's an awesome teacher! Would take again! She gives lectures, but it's interesting, gives quizzes in the beginning of class, but they're easy and are done in groups. 2 tests, along with 2 four page papers. Gives extra credit, and attendance is a grade.

Professor Haugh is amazing. If you take night classes she is the one to choose. She is very helpful, and understanding. I would highly recommend her.

I really enjoyed this professor I would definitely reccomend her to anyone.

She was a great teacher, took her for the summer fast track course and she made it easier to get through. Her lectures were long (but it was a 3 hour class because of the time restraint we were on), but participation matters! A lot of what you talk about in class will be on the tests that she gives (which she also gives a study guide for).

She sets up class to make you think, as long as you read the book, the quizzes won't be too hard! Writing intensive, but the questions make you think and you don't have a strict time limit on the quizzes. Would be really easy to get an A if you study the material and keep up with the time frames. Pressed for time? Still easy , just study!

Took during a summer course, really enjoyed the discussions posed in class.

This class was a breeze. I really did learn and she made it fun and comfortable. There is a lot of group work - but only in class, like little group quizzes and things like that. There are no tests besides a midterm and she gives good instruction for every assignment so there is no way you can get less than an A on any of the papers. No complaints.

If you attend this class, read the text, and listen to the lectures, you will do well. Professor Haugh prepares students for tests and essays. Quizzes are done in groups, so be ready to collaborate. She doesn't give a lot of time for essays - just two weeks - so if you have a lot to juggle, manage your time well.

Writing intensive course! Nice lady we learn a lot about art history over the years. cool stuff just lengthy papers on questions that should be answered in paragraph. I enjoyed visiting the campus gallery and writing about two different exhibits in one semester. Attendance is 10% of your grade! LAME! like high school.

Professor Haugh made this class interesting. The material can be a little dry but her enthusiasm and knowledge of Art really made a difference in making this class enjoyable. Work is required in this class but if you like art or are interested in learning about art then you will like this class.

Must take classes which utilize the right side of the brain, which may be covered in cobwebs? As an individual loving science and math coming into the class, I came out of the class with a little more respect for art. Yes, the professor may be easier than the average, but she really did show her other students and I how to appreciate art.

Professor Haugh made it interesting, and got the class involved with individual/group assignments. I missed 3 classes and she aloud me to make up my work and turn it in for full credit. If you put in the effort you will walk out with an A. Wrote six papers but she keeps them short; 2 pages max, final was four. Clear rubrics for grading. easy class

The professor is great, she is passionate and caring about her student. She gives students feedback about their essay and allows you to fix them before its due. Recommend to submitted essay early to get feedback. Not a hard grader. Its an easy A . In addition, most of her in classwork is group assignments which are easy. One of the best prof.

As a person, I would rate 5/5 for sure. She is very caring towards her students and has great enthusiasm towards humanities, but since I'm rating her as a professor 3.5/5. The material was very dry and the assignments that we were made to do were pointless as they didn't help me learn or inspire me, simply work that we were forced to do. Nice tho.

I loved this class. I am horrible when it comes to reading textbooks but if you pay attention, show up to class, and do well on the pop quizzes and tests you will do fine. The pop quizzes are done in groups. The tests are easy if you pay attention in class and do the study guides.

Kindest woman you'll ever meet. She gives loads of feedback on your written assignments. You can tell she really loves what she does. Answers questions with great clarity. Enthusiatic and fun personality. Is excited to have discussions and answer questions from her students. Jaime Burcham is one of a kind! We need more professors like her !

Great professor for humanities

Absolutely amazing professor. Very caring and thoughtful when it comes to her students. Never hesitate to reach out to her, she replies with the day.

I took Professor Burcham and she was awesome. Make sure to attend class because it is required. Read the text book but you normally have a mid term and final exam and they are super easy.

Jaime is the professor to take for Humanities. Class is a breeze and she is honestly the sweetest professor ever. 11/10 TAKE HER!!!

Her class is a lot of work but she makes it as easy as possible. At first I wasnt digging the class but then it grew on me. I would definitely recommend her she is great and a great personality.

Professor Burcham is an amazing. Shes great at grading papers. Taking her class is like going to school because you want to. I only missed one class of hers and it affect my grade, but if u have a note why. She will change it to extra credit. She knows what shes doing and she loves teaching. Going to her class to me is like an adventure.

She obviously loves what she does. She is so knowledgeable and caring. She will make you love humanities. Awesome class. I would definitely take anything she taught again.

I was dreading taking a humanities course that was writing intensive but Professor Burcham is awesome! Shes passionate about what she does and it shows. Attendance is a must to pass but she made learning fun and and interesting. Highly recommend! Her tests and papers are fair if you study and put in some work.

She cares about her students and is a very easy grader, just show up to class and do the writing and group work and you'll pass. She has a midterm and final but gives out study guides for both that are almost exact copies of the tests.

The Professor is the BEST professor ever. She willingly to work with the students and also understanding. She have great essays questions. She love what she talk about an really get into it. She have great reviews for midterms and final exams. I would take the class again if I have to.

She was very nice and caring. I really enjoyed the romantic era to present. And I really liked learning about it as well. She made it fun.

I took the Intro to Humanities course with her and it was super easy, just show up to class and do the super simple little group works. She really doesnt grade the content just as long as you tried. So just show up, do the work and youll pass. Simple. Also the final exam was the EXACT same as the study guide for the final. Literally identical.

She really cares about her students & the class is an Easy A. Make sure to do writing exercises(around 35%)and your final paper(20%). You should attend class because she assigns group work which counts as a quiz. BUT,she also drops the lowest quiz grade AND provides extra credit opportunities. She uses powerpoint lectures & videos/movies/music! :)

Mrs. Burcham is an outstanding teacher. She is really patient, funny and gives great feedback. She goes through everything clearly. Really liked taking her class and would take it again.

Jaime Burcham is such a kind professor. She was so nice and helpful. Buy the textbook, that's your exams and paper topics right there. This class has some paper writing, but the research is not too bad. She gives extra credit, and plenty of opportunities to bump up your grade. Solid choice for sure.

Professor Burcham is very caring and nice. I enjoyed her class a lot. She made the class interesting and fun. As long as you do the homework and show up to class, you should easily pass. She also gives you a chance to earn extra credit. She's a solid choice.

Professor Burcham's class is great. Her study guides perfectly prepare you for the midterm and final. Three big papers you have to write in class, not too long. She spreads the word count out well for the class. The way the class is organized, one or two of the papers seem to come up a little fast, so try to get a head start on major papers.

Prof. Burcham is awesome! This is a writing intensive course however she gives multiple assignments to make up the word count therefore there are no huge essays. Pretty interesting class, would definitely recommend!

Professor Burcham is a great teacher. Her classes are fairly consistent and start with powerpoint presentations then she goes into small group work (and those assignments are fairly easy). The course is "writing-intensive," but instead of big essays, she splits them into smaller writing assignments. She's very nice and is easy to communicate with!

Professor Burcham was really nice and her class was very structured. I dreaded coming to class because the lectures were somewhat boring but it's necessary to pass because you do a writing assignment almost every class.

I loved Professor Burcham her class was very easy I had her for both HUM 2020 and HUM 2250. Her assignments are not hard shes very big on the group work so just be prepared to do a lot of it. Her midterm and final are all multiple choice she would also make us a study guide to study from as well.

Very understanding and the lectures are pretty nice I didn't think art would be something I would be interested but this class changed my mind. The class is also very easy with not much writing at all quizzes are easy and so are the in class assignments.

I absolutely love her. She is a super lenient grader and honestly, all the assignments are super easy to do. I did end up having to take this course online due to the pandemic, but I believe she would be just as great a teacher as she is on zoom.

I took this online over Zoom. Professor Burcham is a great professor & easy grader. She likes to group people together at the end of class but it's not a big deal. Each chapter has a short quiz with multiple attempts. It's writing intensive, but instead of a few big assignments she breaks the writing up into several 250-350 word assignments. Easy A

Not a ton of assignments, one quiz every 1-2 weeks and then a few papers. Really nice and caring lady, not a tough grader. You can tell she loves what she's talking about, unfortunately that did not make it any more interesting.

Very easy class; her assignments were unique and fun. She had us use a blogging website to do our work, which made it much more fun. She gives good feedback on every assignment. Would highly recommend!

Writing through blogging platform. Usually min of 250 words. Discussion posts were just to respond to other blogs. The assignments are interesting and important. You would interpret art in basically every form (poems, music, movies, artwork, sculptures, etc). Lenient with late work. I hate writing, but this class made it enjoyable. Loved it!!

Very kind and fair grading professor. If you go by the rubric and satisfy all objectives you will most likely get 100% on every assignment. Quizzes are easy and nonproctored. She gives great feedback and doesn't make you read a million pages of the book. So far the best professor ive had! I feel like i actually was able to enjoy this class.

Would recommend any chance that I get. Clear grading criteria. If you follow all instructions you WILL get a 100%. Easiest class.
