He's is soo funny and extremely organized so you dont have to read the book word for word because he explains it well in his notes.

this guy gets so excited it's fun to listen to him. he gives excellent notes adn good lectures. picky grader so you have to learn this precisely. higly reccommended

He is a good teacher, but it's really hard class, his multiple questions are confusing. I recomend you to take Greenwell or Kjos, these teachers much more easier.

An excellent teacher for anatomy/physiology. I totally recommend to take his class because he really prepares you for any health field you are going into. The lecture exams and lab practicals are pretty tough, but if you study hard you'll do well in the class.

Jaime can be a very errogant person. He tends to favor only the people who are doing well in his class, and treats the people who are struggling or not getting a very good grade poorly. If you do not word things on his exams the way he thinks they should be you do not get a very good grade. He is a good lecture instructor.

i never really liked science and did very poorly in it until i had his class. he totally changed my feelings for the subject in a positive way. and it really helps that he is sooo hott!!! hehe!

This teacher is very hard. He has 30 to 40 multiple choice questions on his tests. They are very confusing and hard. His final is 100 multiple choice questions. He's a very nice person and likeable. If you take this class- Good luck

i used to dread this class untill i took him. not only is his his lectures easy to understand he is very laidback. all his tests on based on his lectures so as long as you attend his class, u will do just fine.

Honestly speaking, I took Jaime for bio 430 and 431. I really like this professor. He explains everything very well. I took him first semester so i knew his strategy, the way he brings out the exams so may be that was helpful. If you know how to study then any class could be easy.

I took him for A&P as well as Pathology. Pathology was way harder, even though it was 2 units less than A&P. He is a good teacher, you just have to put in the work and study hard!

This is a "gate" class. It is designed to filter students from proceeding any further down a medical path if they cannot pass this course. It is a difficult class, and should be. Sarte does a good job with lecture, and expects you will pay careful attention. He also tests on comprehension, not just rote memorization. Overall, very good quality.

Come on, when is the last time you took a Biology class and got an A without trying? This guy is a little bit hard, but he is one of the best science teachers I've ever had. I took his class a year ago and still remember a lot of things from it. He is very nice, and I didn't have to study for hours on end. Just study what he says is important!

I was nervous about this class at first, but he made it so easy. Attendance isn't strict but try to come everyday. His guides are helpful as well. Also, he's very friendly so don't be afraid to ask questions during lecture or after class! I hope to take his A&P class in my future semester!

Sarte's a great guy. Everything on the test is covered in lecture. Study guides are given and potential essay questions are pointed out. Its not an easy A, but it is attainable. He also focuses more on treatment than most professors which is cool for future nurses. Hes not the perfect teacher but I would still recommend him.

his help's with reviews and great lecture.But you have to go over your notes and put more info your you to retain the info.quiz's are at least once a chapter but he tells you what to review. 8-10 questions. the course is three chapters at a time so a little tough but his better than the other teachers i took before. good luck study hard :)

Currently in 430, love him. He is so helpful and funny, he makes it so easy to understand and remember. However, it is the hardest class I have ever had. Never had to study before in my life and I never stop now. Study hard, and you'll do good and actually understand what he's teaching. He really ties clinical uses into our info so it's relevant.

My favorite professor by far! The way he teaches is precise and interesting at the same time. He has an ability to help you fully comprehend the material and correlates in into clinical applications. He uses power points and detailed notes. Having taken another professor for bio431 there is NO comparison! I highly recommend taking him.

Sarte is the bomb! Attendance is not mandatory but you really do not want to miss class as he pulls exam questions from lab notes and lecture notes. This class requires studying. Sarte is funny and affable in general. He makes jokes and uses examples that stick to memory. He is also fair and easy to talk to.

Sarte is a great professor, very nice and helpful. 5 exams & a few quizzes. Attendance is taken, book isnt needed. Sarte is a bit unorganized and not quite as knowledgeable on some topics. But thats to be expected as its only offered every once in awhile. Exams are based on study guides, easy class. Alot of diseases to cram in, very similar to a&p.

Definitely makes you work for your grade. Crams lots of information to take in, study groups HELP. tests are quite difficult but if you study and do the study guide, you will pass. Sarte is an amazing and very helpful professor. He is enthusiastic and his lectures are very informative. He points out things that could potentially be on the exam (they almost always are!) He makes biology fun and makes it seem easy. I thought I would have a tough time because of all the physiology but I ended up getting an A! Take him!

Took intro to Anatomy and Physiology with Professor Sarte last semester. He was awesome and explained things really well! Interesting class. Moved along pretty fast. Definitely lots of memorization required so you do have to study.

Best Bio professor in the world! (Not kidding) Night and day from the professor I took for 430. He is willing to help his students in any way he can to succeed. I ended with an A but it was a roller coaster of a ride and sleepless nights of studying! Be ready to work because biology is tough in general, but Sarte is your best bet if you want an A!

He lectures very well, super passionate, gives a few extra credit but I feel that who rate this professor are the ones whom received A's. His exams are worded very hard nothing to do with what he lectured and that's what killed me, except his final exam that one was worded like his quizzes. Good luck to all

Prof Sarte is a wonderful teacher! The class is really tough, but Sarte teaches clearly and really wants you to do well. He's very funny and makes the material engaging. Also, everything he writes on the board during lecture is important, so as long as you rewrite notes (I wrote them onto flash cards) and put in good effort, you should be ok!

Professor Sarte is AMAZING! If you want to truly learn application of A&P take him. I wish I would have taken him for both A&P 430 & 431. You can't go wrong taking him, show up to class be present and study, you should do fine!

One of my friends convinced me to take his class last semester and at first, it was daunting. His tests are heavily lecture based, but he does a great job of condensing information for his students. He really does care about everyone and wants us to do well. If you really want to retain the information after class is finished, take Sarte! He rocks!

I took him for bio 100 and was inspired to take his harder classes. There so much information but if you show up to lectures, take good notes and understand the concepts on the study guide( and STUDY) you will pass! You will have to work for an A or B but in my opinion he's a great teacher! (and isn't boring!)

This review is only for Pathology class. Very sweet guy, and charming. Is a genius, you will see when he starts lecturing, which is where he lost some of the not so genius students. His lectures r basically hard review of his PP's. very unorganized, study guides are helpful to get at least a B. I used text book a lot and self taught myself.

Wonderful professor. Take him! He lets you know what is expected from you, there's no trick questions on his exams, there would be everything that was covered in class. I took Professor Sarte for both 430 and 431. He is seriously so intelligent and has a real passion for the subject he teaches. This class is difficult no doubt, and a lot of time has to be put in if you want a passing grade. He makes the subjects interesting, and even throws a little humor in every once in a while. I would absolutely take again.

Great professor! Not an easy A, he makes you work for it. Many say he leaves things out when really he makes you look for the answer yourself. So, expect a lot of studying outside of class. Especially since there are exams every 2-3 weeks. Study groups help a lot!

Great anatomy/physiology instructor. Just finish 430 and doing 431 in the fall. I took the hybrid class so lectures were online which gives you extra time to pause and watch them again if you miss anything. Thid class is easy if its the only class you take ans life doesnt get in the way. Its super hard when theres less time and more distractions.

A&P is a difficult class in itself. You must understand the structure, the fxn of an organ and how it fxns as a system. There is a lot to learn. It is a hybrid course so ask questions. Go to office hours. Don't rely on just the lecture. Study the textbook as well. Group studying is also recommended. He's also funny, caring and kind of cute.

Great professor. Makes a tough subject easy-ish. I prefer the hybrid class so this class was perfect. His lectures are videos on Canvas so you can go back and watch as many times as you want. He's very entertaining with his dad jokes. Registered to take him in fall.

First class I ever took, I was in high school so through the advanced education program. Very helpful to use the note packets provided as you just fill in important information. Gives a decent amount of homework but with enough time to complete. Very caring of his students and wants everybody to pass. 10/10 would take again.

The class is tough, but professor is amazing. He is so caring, and wants the students pass class. You have to be prepared work hard, ask question, go to open lab, make flash cards, and study everything from lectures and book.

I took professor Sarte's class based on a recommendation from a friend, and I was not disappointed. He almost always injects humor/anecdotes into the lecture making it easy tp listen to. His grading criteria is very clear, he offers plenty of office hours and encourages tutoring while. I will be trying for his class again next term

MEMORIZE MEMORIZE! An amazing professor I took for BIO 430 and 431. Exams are very lecture and lab heavy, memorize everything if you can. Curves exams tremendously, sometimes by a full letter grade. 4 Exams and a cumulative final. I have learned so much in this class. He is funny and caring and adds in Dad jokes. As tough as this class was, I learned a lot. There were times where I would dread thee work but at the end of the course I realized I had learned so much. During the pandemic, all lectures and labs were pre recorded and you must watch and take notes to submit. We had 5 exams and a final and a few opportunities for extra credit. Take to learn a lot!

Professor Sarte is a pretty nice guy (if dad jokes are your thing, youll like him) but if youre taking him online, be aware he requires you print and handwrite his lecture notes and labs. Its not hard stuff, but theres quite a bit of work. Its a rigorous course, and I am sure the class wouldve been way better in person.

A&P is tough, but professor Sarte finds a way to encourage his students to keep pushing. Lab exams consist of anatomy using the models in class and the functions of the specific body parts. Genuinely one of the nicest and knowledgeable professors at Los Rios. He has long lectures with notes submitted before every class, and quizzes about every other week and an exam every 4/5 weeks. I learned so much from this class and it was something I looked forward to every week. Take this class if you want to know a lot and have fun :)

Lecture videos and notes were heavy for the most part, but the class format and schedule was organized. We had access to visuals, models, lab manuals, and textbooks.
