Aguas is the best professor I have ever had. Brings his Fortune 100 experience to the classroom. Teaches concepts & how to apply them practically. I learned to write & present better. He challenged me out of my comfort zone. Highly recommend, awesome professor. Attendance & participation are important, so show up and be on time.

Prof Aguas (or Jake as he let us call him) is so awesome and helpful. By far, one of my all time favorite professors/teachers! He uses great examples whether it is a Seinfeld clip or his experience from being an exec with Chase Bank. My favorite part about his teaching is that his theme is "anxiety: low, learning: high." His teaching is great!

I highly recommend Prof Aguas! He truly cares for his students and their learning. The class was a 3 hour block, but he gives lots of breaks and keeps your attention through video clips and discussion. I loved economics in high school, but after taking this class I have such a better understanding and I feel confident in applying what I learned in class. Well rounded guy. I had him for Microeconomics this semester, and it really made me wish I had him for Macroeconomics as well. He doesn't surprise you with unnecessary work, and gives great feedback. Uses real life examples from his work experience. Only thing lowering my grade is the participation grade, so be prepared to raise your hand.

Professor Aguas is a great guy and a fantastic professor. He has a lot of wisdom to share and he really cares about preparing students for their careers after college. He expects a lot from participation and attendance. The tests are on the lectures so don't buy the book unless you really want to learn the material in depth. Easy class overall.

Hands down, the best Prof at Biola! He mixes the concepts from the book with real life situations. Credible because he has worked at Chase in a high level position so I believe what he says. There is the regular reading amount, 3 papers and a group presentation during the semester. I never felt overwhelmed and had a positive experience.

Professor Aguas teaches with an open style, he is not chained to his lecture or power point. He also is very willing to help students with resumes and job hunting. You get 3 skips, no question, but try not to be late to class as he expects students to be professional. Overall, very good professor who cares about his students.

Great energy and awesome composure! Class is VERY straightforward and very work-oriented. Don't miss assignments, the little points make a big difference. STUDY THE COURSE MATERIAL! Midterm and Final count heavily and it's taken directly from the textbook. Grading is extremely straightforward. Group presentation required, he makes the groups.

Beware. Not an easy A. Gives alot of concepts on study guide but picks only a handful for midterm and final. I still got an A but I had to put some effort. I will be completely honest. I am not confident that I will get an A if I enroll again.

You will learn a lot from this class since Prof Aguas includes many practical, real-life application examples of the textbook definitions that he teaches. He puts up a big scary front but he's pretty nice to students who show up and put in the effort. Be sure to make use of his office hours since it's always helpful to be on his good side.

He's got amazing credentials (really knows what he's talking about), his classes are enjoyable, he gives his students business gems that will help them big time in their career, and it's not hard to become his friend (or "brother," his class is like family to him). Doesn't give out a lot of assignments so you need to make sure you do them, but each one is very helpful towards career development. One of the first assignments he was to create our resume and provide great advice and useful examples on what a professional business resume should look like. Relates lecture material with actual work experience.

Aguas genuinely cares about your personal work ethic and success; he wants to you to be the best representative you can be in the workplace environment. He's approachable and will give you great advice for real-world situations, so make sure to take advantage of this opportunity! I even changed my schedule to take another class with him :)

I had Prof Aguas for BUSN240 and 318. He is a great prof who truly cares about his students. He shares personal stories of his real-life work situations so that you can see how the course material can actually be applied. Expect essays, quizzes, and group presentations. Nothing too hard, if you show up and do the work, you will get an A.

Human Resource Management was such a great class. Professor Aguas made the class very fun and clear to understand. There are two big group assignments in the class, but they are nothing crazy. Though Principles of Management I is an introductory level business course and the content itself is not revolutionary, he applies life skills and applicable scenarios that make the class purposeful. He has incredible faith integration.

Good professor, I just struggled with the assignments. The chapter homework is due before the class on it, so it's very important to read the textbook. He does not accept late assignments, even if they are done perfect. Remember to check the due dates on all the work and turn it in on time!
