His teaching is good, but hard marker and he puts others down always.
I am a try hard student. Very disappointed by his teaching style. You will learn more from youtube.
Professor Nesovic practices a very Darwinian approach. He purpose is not to educate but to separate the weak from the strong and the failed from the (potentially) successful. He takes the same kind of take-it-or-leave-it, sink-or-swim attitude that one hears about in medical or law schools. Unless you already know his subject, stay away.
Really Bad
He knows the subject and teaches everything but he is not clear about the assignments and grading criteria. I struggled not in doing MS Office work but in figuring out what does the teacher want. I got A+ but had to work hard (Made me feel MS Office is very difficult).I complained about him and I think he reacted to that positively. It is better now
He doesn't know how to educate student and treat student. All in his eyes are assignments with no reviewing the errors after checking assigments. His object is to mark students and finish his teaching task.u won't feel good in his class cuz u r unable to learn knowledge and valuable thing from him. Better stay away from him.
bad teaching style.
Not an easy teacher to understand. Doesn't go over quizzes or exams. Marking criteria for assignment and projects are confusing. On the plus side, he does know what he is talking about.
He can't explain clearly. I can't understand his teaching style, I think most classmates have same feeling. I don't want to take his class again.
His teaching style is really bad, the marks he gave is mystically low.I wondered why he is still allowed to teach in a classroom.
He is the worst[power infinity] teacher I have ever seen in my life. I did bachelor, masters, MBA and now doing diploma in Soft Eng. But never seen a prof like him. He really does not know what he wants, don't go with book, don't even go with his commitment! I don't know how he is still stay as a teacher after that much complains!!!!
If you finished any of his lectures without looking out the window, staring down at the desk, playing with your pencil because you are in the most boring lecture of your life, then you have got the qualities to become a professor like him.
This professor does not know what he wants. He explains something else and then when we do it that way, he says its wrong. We have made numerous attempts to make his project near to perfect but everytime he comes up with even bigger problems with the work we do. If you can select another professor please do so.
Really hard tests and marker and does not post anything online other than the basic power points which are taken entirely from the book. Method of teaching is not clear and easy to understand, he is very fast paced and not contradicts himself later on. Expects you to learn most of the criteria from the textbook and refer to it by yourself.
quizs and test are hard. need to know very specific details. always need to read text book.
He knows his stuff, and it shows: lectures are crystal clear. And yes, he's a tough grader, but that's because he sets the bar really high - and that's good, because if you're willing to put in the work, he'll give you all you need to reach an A.
Great teacher! If you are interested in what you do and wanna do it, this teacher is for you! Dont listen to people that say it is hard, boring and painful. They are lazy and wanna get good marks for doing nothing. Its brilliant teacher with good sense of humour, he is loyal to his students and always ready to help (but at exact time)
he is such a bad professor. if you want to humiliate yourself, then choose his class. in his dictionary there is no such a word like helping students. even if you ask him, he would tell you to find it out on your own.. and you can try to solve something until the end of the semester, he would never help you. don't waste your time with him!
Very bad experience since starting of the class. He haven't know the code. He needs book to write code and explain in class. He used to ask very tough questions in exam.
Don't do it. It's a trap.
He lectures more than, than he makes you do practical exercises. He wants you to do everything yourself. He isn't approachable. His quizzes and test are not definitely not easy. Definitely would recommend not to take his class.
He is the epitome of how not to teach. Enough said.
Very strict in what he wants. Doesn't have a humor, always serious. Not very friendly or approachable, feels like he looks down on students. If you ask for his help, he'll tell you to look for it yourself.
He will make your life miserable! He gives hard bonus assignments worth 1%. Total 3 assignments. Not at all approachable. He will expect you to know everything before he even starts teaching. Boring lectures.
he doesnt want to help his students succeed because he doesnt care for his students. his assignments and tests are hard and super tough marker. like he tries to filter out the strong and abandon the weak. hes unapproachable and not friendly at all. he is mean towards students that dont excel in his class. avoid him if you can because i know i will.
Brutal and nightmare of a teacher, must be avoided. His teaching isn't good but his tests and assignments are super hard. He is also an unfair marker. He's extremely detached from students. He's only there for teaching and grading. He offers extremely limited help and no support. He will give you the hardest time of your life and depression.
If you are looking only for good grade, don't take a course with him. If you want to learn programming, he is the only instructor at Centennial who can do that. I really thank Jake to teach me how to do proper programming.
He is the only professor at Centennial College who can teach you proper OOP. You can get A+ only if you work hard.
This teacher will not go easy on you. It will be crushing for you, if you do not have previous experience in programming.
If you want to learn, take this professor. If you want an easy grade, search elsewhere.
Great at teaching proper OOP. Read your material, practise outside the classroom, and easily get an A. Easy assignments and easy grading. Know how to program well before taking his course, or you will lose marks. His requirements for assignments are horrible. Don't go to class and you will fail, since almost nothing is posted on e-centennial.
I will avoid this professor anytime any day!
if you don't wanna regret.. highly recommend to avoid this creature
quit your part-time job, forget sleep if he is your professor
Last semester, I've taken Comp229 from him. He never gives us any feedback. If you have no experience or knowledge as a programmer, you must avoid this class. Why is he still teaching at Centennial?
Take risks in your life. But do not go for this class.
Worst ever experience. Not at all helpful. Better to avoid this. Will never take this again.
Jake will probably teach you more about programming than any other professor in Centennial College, provided you really want to learn. If you want a better grade, search elsewhere. If you want to be a better programmer, prepare for trial by fire. It's a spartan lesson, and Jake will challenge you. Are you ready?
Best professor I had so far! Amazing at teaching and explaining concepts. Very strong time-planning and organizational skills. Would take him for all the other courses if there would be this option.
Awesome professor, just ask what you don't understand. He's not gonna eat you.
Really good prof , If you want to learn and make your base strong go for this professor sure he is tough grader but he seriously prepare you for future but if you want to learn the concept of object oriented programming he is best.
Jake's probably the best prof at Centennial. If you actually want to be prepared for the future I recommend taking his courses. He will give you feedback and show you where you need improvement. The only prof where you actually learn something.
If you've ever played any arcade game before, Jake is pretty much equivalent to a boss fight. It's going to be tough, but you learn so much on the way that the difficulty becomes worth it. After all, no good boss fight was ever memorable without a certain level of difficulty.
test heavy
if you already know programming then you are worth sitting in his class. but for a beginner and starter his lecture is useless because he will not explain in detail.
Take this professor if you want to learn. Avoid this professor if you're only here for the grades. One of the few professors who truly understands what he's teaching.
not at all good at teaching
Grading format is not proper and don't respond to mails if have any questions or doubt about assignments.
Don't get yourself stuck with him. WORST teacher ever.
So yeah, there's a lot of negative light around Jake. His lectures are very complicated and hard to follow. Don't step out to use the restroom during his lecture, because you'll be lost by the time you come back. He can come off as somewhat condescending at times, but he does have good intentions. He just wants to see you do well and work hard.
Pls Avoid him if you don't want to have a stressful semester.
gives unreasonably hard tests
The actual worst prof in this whole institution. Never take this guy. EVER. Our entire class was completely confused about programming until he got switched out for another teacher.
Jake has the potential to be a good prof, but he chooses not to be. Not everything on the quizzes/exams are covered in class lectures. His high expectations and standards aren't realistic and are just torture. I find the way he marks assignments isn't fair as it's not based on a student's effort and understanding of what they learned.
He's actually teach everything what a programmer should learn. His teaching method is a bit tough but he's teaching correctly. He's not recommended for those of you who are new to programming but for some people who REALLY want to learn how to program in a real world, you should give it a try.
He is a really tough teacher, so for those who like the relaxed atmosphere, you guys should avoid him. However, he always answer your questions unless you ask him how to do the assignment or you don't specify your question. Feel free to ask him questions about his lab workouts while in class. In the end, he will teach you what you need to learn.
Worst teacher in the history of teachers, never again am i making a mistake as big as this. TBH I could write a whole 25 page essay on this nightmare teacher but since i refuse to waste my time on such a low life human who cares such little about the success of his students i could care less now. I hope Jake reads this and throws himself ina hole:)
This is by far the worst teacher I have ever come across. He makes project outline vague then takes marks off for not reading his mind and knowing what he wanted. You cannot approach him with questions without being humiliated and demeaned. The less caring most unhelpful professor in history, I have no idea why this man is a teacher.
This might be the first and the last time I do a review for a professor. This is one of the toughest xxxhole I have ever countered in my life. You can read all other's comments to see how this dude destroying, destroyed a student's happiness of learning a new thing. This dude loves the feeling of "fake" power over students!
I dont know why a professor like Jake is still being allowed to teach at Centennial. He makes it terribly tough for students to pass be it any course. He has grading criteria which is confusing and never clearly gives instructions about anything. He copies code from book and expects you to learn it. He isnt a tough teacher, he has attitude problem.
I don't recommend him. First, he portrays a dictator. He always wants to intimidate students and make the whole environment very toxic. Second, he doesn't know how to answer your questions politely. He always replies questions being ironic or asking "how you don't know that?". It's his just job, no? Because of that many students are scared of him.
I saw alot of bad comment about Jake and really nervous to attend his class. But he was not as bad as I thought he would. He is reasonable and fair.
Jake is very disrespectful to those that ask questions. He will constantly refer to what he has written in the notes as "Please see whatever I wrote in the document", without specifically elaborating or explaining anything. He uses derogatory and disrespectful language when addressing students. I am shocked that Centennial College employs him.
While he just addresses students to watch other prof's recorded video, reading text book, and notes(maybe from not him) without his lecture, he has a too high expectation to students. I saw some good comments that he's fair and understandable in other courses, yeah amybe he was. In COMP231 online course, he's just rude, unreliable, and irrational.
Jake is a very rude teacher that expects to much with little information. Getting a 50 in his class his practically getting a 70-80. It is very unreasonable the amount of tasks that he excepts, there is no consideration that this class is online there is no school help available and not to mention were in the middle of a PANDEMIC. Avoid this prof.
Very practical and logical. I got much rational guidance and advice that can be used for work. Yet he never accepts anything different from what he wants. Very aggressive and blunt. Only kind to excellent students.
We took this course by Jake in the middle of pandemic and know that his bad fame before taking it but we did not have other option because he was the only instructor for this course. Jake is not rude against students but he basically like has not enough consideration for students. Most other professors were flexible and understanding except him.
It is people like Jake who makes me wonder sometimes why we go through the trouble of full time studying at a college or university when a youtuber can teach better !! I have to message some youtubers I have been watching and thank them dearly for being able to explain better than Jake who probably is paid a fortune by the school for nothing !
Teaching is something, not suitable for everyone. When 90% of your class fail/drop your course, it is you who are to be blamed for your carelessness & poor teaching method. If we had prior programming experiences, we wouldn't take this course. We pay to learn not to hear "You should've known" or I'm not here to teach". Very frustrating :'(
Worst Prof even. I definitely do not suggest to take course from him. He has endless requirements on your project. He gives 10 comments, you complete them later he gives other 10 comments in totally different subjects. It is impossible to met his requirements. Then he cuts down your grades cause of late submission (completion).
I ignored the comments about this before taking this class, but believe me I was wrong. This is my first time on this app because I felt compelled to warn you all. AVOID THIS PROFESSOR for your sanity. He is very UNREASONABLE
Make sure to not take his class, His a tough marker. He deducted 50% of my assignment because it had the wrong name. Also, in his class you have to use a mic to reach him he will not pay attention to chat which made it very difficult for me since my mic would not work sometimes.
to much problem
he is not suited for teaching.
I had to drop this professor's class and go into another professor's class. He refused to answer questions on assignments despite the requirements being concepts that were never taught. It was humiliating to ask questions in class. He was crass, demanding and deducted grades for going above and beyond in assignments. Teaches like a dictator. Beware
Please avoid his class. His hobby is finding your very small mistake and then deducting 50% of the assignment.
Jake is a good professor at MAKING students drop the class. In my semester, half of the students drop his course due. If you ask his question, there is no answer from him. Also, 50 % deduct mark for a small mistake. Avoid this prof !!!
he expects you to be a software expert even though you are a student but refuses to answer your questions.
The most unfair grade-granting professor I've ever seen. He expects you to be a group while he sees students who can't even attend their meetings. Professional expects everything. He criticizes very cruelly. Definitely a waste of time.
Awful professor does not answer students' questions, does not respect the time, and just referring to future lectures. Ignores questions in a chat.
Do not take this professor
Exams are challenging and you have to code within the hour, unlike other professors that give at least half a day. sleep-deprived and constantly worried about the assignments. Iwasan nyo to as much as possible
He expects students as if they are stack developers. His questions are way beyond the education level. He expects students' assignments are perfect. He says his assignment requires 2 hours of work and if you put in more than 2 hours, you should go back to programming 1 class but he explains the assignment in 45 minutes. He is the worst instructor
He teaches alright but his attitude sucks
Ruuuuuude and disrespectful. Teaching method is awful. Everything can not be more bad as he is.
Jake's teaching "methods" are frustrating. His abilities to teach and communicate with students are, at best, poor. He never misses a chance to embarrass students publicly. I have myself felt uncomfortable, disrespected and intimidated with his approach and I'm really considering filing a complaint against him.
It's way too hard learning his class!
Just don't choose him and you are good.
He makes the classroom a degrading and insalubrious environment. Teaching really isn't for everyone.
Horrible person horrible grader.
Very bad
Anyone can teach the course better than him. He has no idea what he is talking about and very incompetent. He is so proud that ratemyprofessor is low. No wonder why no students like him and probably his family. He uses other professor's content and assignments. He doesn't know how to read his own instructions and takes off marks.
DIFFICULT
Terrible unmotivated professor, he uses class time to mark, publically humiliates his students, and brings a negative engergy into the class room, some people are not meant to be in education. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES.
He lacks all the skills required from a person working in education. He's lazy, incompetent, unmotivated, unpleasant and just sucks at his job.
He talks very fast, wouldn't allow students to take pictures from the board, and he said "NO" because both tests are not open books. Also, he tells students to read the textbook, won't allow any students to copy their assignments from the internet, and share the codes with each other. After the midterm week, he went on vacation.
He discussed things very fast such a rude professor, when u asked him to provide the code that he discuss during lecture he's not gonna give it.
He is a knowledgeable professor and he gives many examples during the class. The only aspect to note is that he doesn't upload the lecture code. If you become lost, it can be challenging as there's no supplementary material to refer to. He is strict, but I admit I've learned a lot from him. If you are trying to learning, choose him.
If you are prepared to absorb everything(knowledge) the professor provides, you will be great.
DO NOT TRUST THE POSITIVE RATINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is very horrible for teaching the class.
He gives us so many easy lab assignments, but he never looks at the code after the due dates.
He gives so many easy lab assignments for homework. Also, he always comes to students and marks their work.
He talks really funny to every student in the classroom and he wants every student to be successful in the real world.
He tells students to write the code correctly.
He teaches C# very well and now he teaches AI to students who are taking the AI stream.
He is very helpful to students when they are struggling with the Labs Assignment.
He enjoys typing the code on the board rather than reading the slides.
He recommends all students use the desktop in order to take notes or he would tell the students to use their notebooks for taking down notes.
He is very good for doing C#, and he wants student to be successful in the job industry. Also, he is the best Programming professor at Centennial College.
I like that he never reads the powerpoint, and he only show the code during class time. Also, he is helpful to students who are struggling on their lab assignments.
When I was in Mr. Jake Nesovic class he always come to students to mark their lab assignments, and grade it on the school desktop.
I like Mr. Jake because he wants to students to be successful in the real world.
Mr. Jake is the best professor at Centennial College.
He is very good on C#, and now he teaches one of the AI class.
Pick him because he is very good in C# (Programming 2) and AI Class.
Mr. Jake love giving students very tricky way during in his class.
He is the best professor at Centennial College, and he tell students to be successfull in real life.
Great professor, he always came to students to do marking, and giving out good feedback.
Mr. Jake Nesovic is a successful professor at Centennial College. He love giving students very tricky qusetion during the class timing. Also, do not use ChatGPT, and avoid using any other website during his class.
Mr. Jake Nesovic is very strick and clear of the academic policy. Also, he can be very hard to understand his class like his speed talking and never share the code after his class.
Don't use anything that hasn't been explicitly taught. He does not clarify anything when asked, just repeats. It's students' faults they do not understand. Learning is all outside of class, textbook self study. This class is not designed for LEARNING C#. His grading is tough and unclear. He uses terms like readonly, field, attribute.. incorrectly.
He never show the sides on the board only the C# code. Also, his speed talking is so hard to understand.
Only 4-6 students who can pass Mr. Jake class while others who failed or even drop that class. Also, don't ever take photo in class, never use ChatGPT, or any website such as StackOverflow. For both test they are not openbook.
He always come to students to check their work, and preventing them from copying from other website.
Very good for teaching the class.
One of the hardest/worst prof i encounter at Centennial. Really rude to students and not allow to take pictures in class because "you need to type to remember" bs. Get outta there asap
The best professor from whom I learnt until now. He teaches in a practical way, so it is important to attend classes if you want to learn. Do not expect to receive excellent marks if you are not able to defend your code, which means for him that you copy. Weekly assignments could seems to be lot of work, but they help you to practice and learn.
Super rude to students and treats them like phd professors who suppose to know everything. Doesn't answers questions and just confuses. Doesn't post any code to review at home, source is book. If you cant find the question u have, ur fault. Mr. Jake doesn't make any time for questions in the class and leaves right away after it.
Jake learning skills is more like a downtown U of T Professor.
Jake's teaching skill is like a downtown U of T Professor. Also, he only allowed 4-6 students can pass his class while the others dropped and failed his class. Don't ever bring your cell phone to take pictures, and avoid using ChatGPT/other websites in his class.
He is a lecturer who appears to lack respect for students. He assumes that everyone possesses prior knowledge, is unresponsive to questions. Moreover, he seems reluctant to award high grades and appears to take pleasure in undermining others. Exercise caution and consider alternatives before choosing him as your instructor
I like when Mr. Jake always been giving the right attitude to students in order to be successful in the real world.
He is very helpful to every to students in his classroom.
He is very helpful to every students in his classroom.
Very helpful to every students in his classroom.
He helpful to every students like he enjoy coming to students to grade their work.
He is very good at coding because he never read the slides on the board and coming to students to grade their work.
In Mr. Jake Nesovic class only 4-6 students can pass his class while some other only drop or failed the class.
Jake is a very successful professor at Centennial College.
Pick Jake because he is the best to teach the class.
Stop writing bad comments to Jake Nesovic because he is helping all of you to be successful in your future.
Jake Nesovic is a helpful professor at Centennial College because he is helping every students in his classroom to be successful in their future.
Jake Nesovic has the best lecture in his class because he never show the powerpoint in his classroom.
Stop writing any bad comments to Jake Nesovic because he is trying to help you guys to be successful in your future. Also, he is a very helpful professor at Centennial College.
He is a very helpful professor at Centennial college. For Jake is always coming to students to grade their work.
He does not know how to respect people whatsoever. It's as if he wants us to fail. As a student, if you miss something then it is your fault. He doesn't post code from lectures. If you miss it, he says its your fault for not writing it down. He says this while speeding through lectures expecting you to know everything he says.
Stop writing bad comments to Jake Nesovic because he is trying to help every students in his class to be successful in the real world. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP WRITING BAD COMMENTS TO JAKE NESOVIC BECAUSE HE IS A REALLY NICE PROFESSOR AT CENTENNIAL COLLEGE.
Super strict for no reason and wants everyone to fail and doesn't explain properyly
Do not take this professor unless you like information overload, lectures that last longer than the class, mark deductions and being misleading on upcoming tests
He is the best.
Jake always been coming to students to do some marking our lab assignments.
For Jake he never show the slides on the board just only the C# code. Also, he is a very helpful professor and making them to be successful in the real world.
The professor is decent. I did not understand his lectures since he mostly talked which resulted in a silent and bored classroom. In general, to get my grade I had outside help. He sort of expects us to know stuff we have not been taught. I would not take it again but if other students learn the way he teaches, then it might be something they like.
He enjoys insulting people and likes to give the impression that he's more important than others. He doesn't consider anything else If you want to truly understand the material and pass the course, dont take any course with him.
I may be late to say this, you may have already chosen this professor, but new students who will choose this should think again 500 times. If you already know his lesson perfectly, you will probably pass his lesson. But if you are still in the learning phase, it may turn you off from coding. The site does not allow me to write more. character limit
Jake never have an open book hands-on tests. He never allow to take picture in his class, and he talk really fast that makes students not able to understand.
Almost failed the course because of this. He is very nit picky and a tough grader, if you want to pass your course PLEASE don't take him, he wont allow to take pictures of the slides, he explains the stuff way too fast,he expects you to code with him but he's in a dimension of his own. If you ask questions he'll refer you to the textbook. Terrible!
For Jake Nesovic is a terrible professor at Centennial College because he never allow an open book hands on test, do not take picture in the class, and hhis talking speed is too fast. Also, he should get fired from this job. He is very rude to everyone in his classroom.
He is very bad for teaching the class because he talks too fast, never allow to take picture on the board, and like giving students a very low grades in his class. Also, during test time he never allow an open-book hands-on test. When we use ClassApp he always monitor students in order to prevent copying and pasting from any other sites.
You should think twice before choosing him. He does not allow to ask questions about his assignments; sometimes he is rude awnsering the question in the lecture class; he types really fast and does not allow you to take pictures; even if your code is correct and working, he will take out marks if is not the way he wants... he talks too much.
For Professor Jake Nesovic is very helpful professor because he can help his students to be successful in the job world.
Delusional man thinks he's high status just because he was a judge at some beginner coding competitions. You can have a perfectly working code and he will still find a way to take grades off and will not discuss it with you. He will not answer questions. Avoid this guy if you are trying to learn. He doesn't really care.
Awful professor, don't take his course. He codes in class with his speed while teaching that most of the class cannot follow but didn't allow us to take picture, and he also doesn't upload his code afterwards. Always critizises and challenges students, not willing to help and answer questions at all.
He is the worst person to teach a programming class. For him, there is only one way to code and if your code is not the same as his but still works, he deducts marks from you. Grades are no fair and you do not feel comfortable asking questions. DO NOT choose him if you want to learning programming. Lectures poorly organized
Drop the course is the best choice. He doesn't have any notes, he only types the code in the lesson and doesn't let ppl to take a pic. If you can't type fast, you will get nothing in the class. He welcomes question right after he types the code when you still don't have any clue. but if you have problem after lesson, he won't answer anything.
He is the worst prof I ever had and learn little from him. He assume you know all the things but not consider there are some beginners in the class. He types so fast and not allow to take pics, if you can't follow and the demo is useless. Just do not take his class will make you have a happier school life.
For Mr. Jake Nesovic, class is so bad because he monitor students for test time by using ClassApp, never have an open book test, don't ever take picture in his class and explaining the CSS to him. Also please avoid him he is a really horrible professor.
Don't take him as your professor. You will definitely fail your program. It is my promise.
This professor thinks his students are expert programmers. You were not given a chance to digest the concepts, and the assignments were tough.
The professor's teaching style in this course was challenging, often presenting material at a rapid pace that made it difficult to follow and transcribe code examples accurately. Additionally, the recorded screen during exams created a stressful environment.
Lowest grade I got in my 3 semesters. Way to strict. Overall, he has a good knowledge of the subjects he teaches for sure, but with him, his grading is soo weird. He once removed 10% on my first assignment because I didn't name my file the right way, despite the code working. If you are prepared to have mental warfare for 14 weeks, be my guest.
For Jake Nesovic is a really horrible professor because his teaching skill is just like a PhD professor. In his class never have an open-book test, never show the slides on the board, doesn't allow to picture, he monitor us by using ClassApp, and please make sure to not to pick that horrible professor for Programming 2. He enjoy giving F grade.
Jake Nesovic is a very horrible professor because he won't allow students to take picture, never allow to have an open-book test, and he talks to fast. Also, please make sure not to take his class. For test time he use ClassApps to monitor students during test time. Make sure please do not use ChatGPT in his class.
Be prepared to work hard in this course - Professor Nesovic has a very specific teaching style that takes some adjusting. Attend every class, read the textbook, and use resources like Unstuck AI to stay on top of the material. It's challenging, but you can succeed if you put in the effort.
He is the worst professor I have ever faced. No clearity on his lecture but always ready fail you. Don't take him if you want to pass. Third class.
He is too tough on the students. Does not take a minute to understand we are all new to this material. Failed me 2 times for not submitting the proper folder instead of taking the. During tests, he'd take 10% off if you do not submit exactly on time. Super rude and mean, and hard to approach for help. Paying tuition for nonsense.
Easy professor. I would take again.
Based on what I hear at school and the ratings on RMP, I can't help but wonder how many of the 5-ratings are genuinely from my classmates. The issue arises when an instructor establishes their authority and power by assigning students non-academic challenges without reason. If I could go back in time, I would choose a diff class without hesitation.
Jake Nesovic is extremely rude and unhelpful. This guy sets you up for failure. This is supposed to be an entry-level course, but he doesn't teach. He makes you feel incompetent. Jake only wants things done his way. It's hard to learn when you're constantly disrespected. Tests are long, and expectations are unrealistically high.
Don't take his class. Worst professor in all of my 5 semesters. He ignores student concerns and assumes everyone has 5+ years of tech experience. Expectations are unrealistic, with no tolerance for mistakes—tiny errors are heavily penalized. Avoid this class unless you're prepared for an unnecessarily harsh and demoralizing 4 months.
Grades tough but realistic expectations from real-life industries
Easy professor. He never read off the powerpoint slides, understandable grading. Would take him again.

Worst professor I've ever had in my entire life. This guy thinks you're experienced and he got no tolerance for any mistake. Over rude and unhelpful. In his project management class you don't learn new things, you satisfy his ego and pass the class or try your best and still fail.
THE WORST PROFESSOR EVER. Jake I hope you are reading this. Jake grades unfairly and that makes it impossible to understand where you stand in the course. He is extremely unprofessional, he seems completely uninterested in student success. I would not recommend taking a class with him if you can avoid it. DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HIS COURSES.
It will be greater mistake that you will make in the year if you take his class.
very bad professor
I would love to take his class again because his lecture is pretty easy to understand, and he does not give too much homework. So, I hope everyone can take his class to get a good experience and grade in your future.
He is a Donald Trump supporter. One time I saw him wearing a "Make America Great Again" red hat at school.
One of the WORST teaching experiences. Lectures were a MESS, no clear direction, and ZERO engagement. Never explained anything properly. You're on your own the entire time. AVOID this class unless you want to waste your time and effort.
Dont dare take with him any course
Very bad professor. He gave me grade F
Warning to new students: This professor can kill your passion for software. Many have dropped out or changed majors because of him. Despite numerous complaints, nothing changes. It feels like someone's protecting him. I hope he leaves before more students lose their motivation. Here is No more space to explain my expressions. Max limit 350 symbols
This professor likes minors
This professor was extremely strict and made the course harder than it needed to be. He didn't grade fairly, gave no helpful feedback, and it felt like he wanted students to fail. The learning environment was stressful and discouraging.
I'm lucky that he only teaches half semester. 70% students gets F in the first half of semester. He grades my assignments 28/100. The other professor grades the exact same assignment and she gives 85/100. That's mean if you can get A+ from an other prof., you probably get C from him. But I like his live coding.
Expects you to be some perfect software expert with years of experience, yet we are the students. I asked a question and his response was "you need to figure it out, you cannot be in the workplace asking your boss how to complete a project". I'm a student. Im asking now, so I do not need to in the workplace. The list goes on about this guy.
On my first in Jake's class after that I drop it and switch it to another class and going to a good professor class. Also, before you go to Centennial make sure to pick the good professor only.
He is the worst professor I have ever seen in my whole life. I had submitted the wrong file by mistake, and he declined to retake the submission. Also, he is very strict in marking, and he fails no matter what; he doesn't teach well in class, and he focuses more on demonstration, like we already knew everything.
