Mr. Silvestri is one of the best teachers in the Physical Education department. His class was great, he really connects with the students. I had him as an advisor, did everything he could to help. Very dedicated like all the staff! Good looking too! Wish I could have him again. CORTLAND rocks!

Very good teacher. He went over all the information before the tests which was a definite plus. Also, if you ever didn't understand something, he was always willing to work with you after class. He is such a great guy, and he is good looking too. Hopefully that will never get to his head.

IDK what this person is talking about. I had Dr. Silvestri for HLTH 160 and he was the greatest help. Quizzes were very fair. Yes, some did contain a wrong answer from time to time, but he ALWAYS adjusted the points. He responded to my emails in an instant. He always seemed eager to help me. Loved his class!

Such an awesome teacher, highly recommend. I took 2 classes on campus and 1 online with him. he is great and very enthusiastic. You can tell he likes his job a lot and he makes the class interesting. Don't show up to his class late often, you can tell he gets a little annoyed, but for the most part he is laid-back. take his classes!!

This Professor is absolutely amazing. He answers and questions you have and responds to email very quickly. He makes the class material up to date and makes the class enjoyable. No midterm No final just and article review a hand full of quiz and a group final project. I would definitely recommend him.

Easy class and not a lot of work but if you miss an assignment you're pretty much screwed. I got full credit on every assignment and when I missed one assignment, my grade went from an A to a B.

I was nervous about taking an online class but this guy made it clear and concise. Always kept you up to date so you'd know what was due. Pretty easy if you put effort in as well. I recommend this greatly!

DR. S is by far the best teacher ever. He's very helpful and prep you for his tests, which he calls quizzes. His lectures are amazing. Very inspirational. Honestly, Dr. Silvestri is the best and not one of the best. If you want to turn your life around from unhealthy to healthy. Take his class. He uses a lot of inspirational quotations during his lecture. His lectures are understandable and well presented. He has a great sense of humor. Tests are easy because he prepare you well of it.

Very easy class. His PowerPoints were funny, he uses many inspirational quotes, and the perfect person to go to if you're looking for self-improvement. I thought this class wouldn't offer much educationally but I was completely wrong and am so glad I took his class. Tests are very easy. Take this class if you can!

Professor Silvestri was awesome. His class was almost TOO easy. The class was out of a total 550 points and there were few assignments. Every test we took was either a take home test or he allowed the use of a study guide in class. Make sure to show up to class because attendance effects your grade. Overall, he is such a nice man. Take his class!

Dr. Silvestri was such an amazing professor. However, DO NOT USE YOUR CELL PHONE IN CLASS OR HE WILL KICK YOU OUT. Quizzes were easy and fair, most ended up being open note or take home. Go to class, attendance matters. He is very serious about final presentation and expects a lot for it. So caring and genuine, wish I could take another class!

Dr Jake rates participation highly he reads your DB and gives great critics. He follows up each week to remind you of due dates (if you miss a test/quiz it is because you did not do the work) he gives you ample opportunity to get an A if you follow the course outline. The online class goes by very quickly I recommend that you get the textbook.

Silvestri was a pretty good professor. Honestly show up and you'll walk out with at least a B. Very VERRRRRRY energetic. Easy class, easy grade, no complaints here.

AMAZING. Jake constructs his lectures in such an interesting and fun way.. He constantly ties in his family, and life into his lectures which makes everything much more relatable and fun. He constantly tells stories and makes jokes and its such a great class while still informative. Also, you should never feel stressed in his class!!!!

He is an excellent professor!!!!! I absolutely loved him and his lectures. He makes them fun and puts his on spin on it. Theres barely any homework at all and the quizzes are so so easy!

I genuinely enjoyed taking both classes with Dr. Silvestri that I took during my time at Hudson Valley. His courses are easy to pass with an easy workload, but not to the point of being a free "A". I strongly recommend him for any Health requirement you'd have at Hudson Valley. Each week has three easy discussion boards and a quiz based on notes.

I had him online and each week he would e-mail all the students to make sure we did the assignments, and the next chapter and what it is about. If i had questions, I would e-mail him and he wrote back in a heartbeat. I graduated HVCC but for others who are still in school, I would take him.

I really enjoyed taking two classes with Dr. Silvestri at HVCC. His classes are clear and easy to navigate. There was only one quiz per week along with two easy discussion board posts (and no replies!), along with no final exam or final project. I strongly recommend his class!

Mr. Silvestri is honestly one of the most positive and uplifting people I've ever met; And that's saying a lot since it's an online class. Powerpoints are upfront and grading and assignments are fair. Super easy class and helps give you at extra credit to fill up the sched.

Jake is the man. He is personable, wants to learn about you, and isnt afraid to give up the floor to hear different perspectives. He goes over everything, answers any questions and makes cool dad jokes. What more can you ask for in a professor these days?! Youll get an A, just participate and take notes, take him as much as possible!

This professor was awesome. His grading was easy to understand. Material was easy to understand. Tests can be paused at any time before they are due if you want to do them in parts. Class consisted mostly of DB's, reading and quizzes.

My favorite professor so far at Hudson Valley! The class is very easy as long as you are invested in the material and take the time to absorb the information. I have learned alot from HLTH 160 as well as Drug Studies this summer.

Prof. Silvestri is an amazing professor. For this specific course, it's only 5 weeks, and the work is easy and fun! You can express yourself in the discussion boards, and honestly, it was a great outlet for what I needed this time of year. Three discussion boards a week with a mini quiz... not bad! Best one-credit class I've taken thus far!

I had HLTH-170 hybrid so I was only there 1 day a week for an hour. The workload was fairly easy and the criteria was clear and easy to understand. Mr. Silvestri is a very energetic and interactive teacher. If you pay attention and do your work you will pass with flying colors. He cares about his students and wants them to succeed.

He is an excellent instructor. He is prompt with grading, which makes taking the course less stressful. One of the things I appreciated most was the thoughtful feedback he provided on assignments, his comments were very constructive. He's organized, and genuinely cares about student learning. I highly recommend him to anyone taking a health course!
