OK professor
Crazy Hot Crazy Smart Totally Helpful
I have taken three classes with Mr. Bittar and I enjoy how his online classes are run. He is very organized and you know exactly what is expected of you. However, he does not accept late assignments at all and he is not very involved with the class, no discussion board postings. Kind of feels like you are taking a class only with the computer.
I really enjoyed Professor Bittar's class. Even though the material can be dry at times, he makes it interesting, and occasionally takes time out of class to joke about life. Aside from teaching the material, he includes excess information that will be helpful to know in the future. His exams are easy if you read--he does not try to trick you.
he's really not that bad of a professor. he gets realllly irritated at cell phone usage and I feel like he wastes a little too much time ranting about that. He gives a lot of hints as to what will be on the tests and has some helpful pointers to remember information. Just study the study guide and read and you should be fine.
Indeed, this guy is crazy smart and has great knowledge and knows how to lay it out for the students. I had no problems in his class but of course you have to study, no professor will give you grades for free, it's college not kindergarten. He is a great professor, I would definitely recommend him for anybody who's planning to take anatomy.
I had this professor for Anatomy 2 and he is a good teacher, but he goes on tangents every day about cell phones, and lectures us like were little kids. Even if we did nothing wrong he will bring it up. It's a hard class but that's because the material is complex, but he does a great professor overall.
He was the most straight-forward professor I've had. Even though he is very knowledgeable, the material was difficult and the class was fast-paced. I think his course was easier than most other professors, but expect a lot of material to be learned on your own.
He was VERY smart and knew what he was talking about. Asks the class questions that we should know for the test, so he kind of reviews every class period. The class was fast pace but that is expected. Overall very intelligible and helps by kinda hinting at what will be on the test.
I believe he is a very good professor. I would record his lectures and go over his powerpoint notes to study and did very well in the class. His tests are the questions he goes over and over again in class and exactly what's in his notes. No surprises! I really liked him and highly recommend him!!
He was not helpful at all. I ended up withdrawing from his class. He told me that having a "D" in his class was amazing. DO NOT TAKE HIM!
Hilarious and a gifted teacher with lots of experience. You can tell he loves A&P and loves being a teacher. I actually looked forward to going to his class. Anyone who dislikes this professor is out of their minds! Tests are straight from lecture and the note-packets. If you want to have fun and actually learn something, take his class!
Overall, good professor. He moves fast and talks quietly, so sitting up front is helpful. Reading the textbook is a must! He likes to sneak in little facts from the book not covered in lecture on exams. Respect him, and he will respect you.
While some professors' class seem scripted, this guy’s lectures are natural. He uses a lot of examples and has an incredible story for every topic. Tough class by nature but hammers in key components. I had no problems in his class but of course you have to study, no professor will give you grades for free, it's college not kindergarten.
As long as you pay attention in class and read the textbook, you will do just fine in this class. The exams are fairly straightforward.
Awesome Dude! He’s one of my favorite professors—he keeps the class laughing. As long as you follow his notes and listen to what he’s saying in class, you should have no problem. I wish he could teach all of my classes. He gets an A++ in my book. Really gonna miss you man!!
Great personality and sense of humor but I didn't personally respond well to his lecture presentations. He explains things well enough but sometimes it's difficult to keep up with him because he talks too quietly and fast. He gets really irritated when students use their cell phones or talk in class.
He is one of the best professors--it's a shame that some students don't appreciate him. He is tough but well worth it. If you just want to do the bare minimum in his course and have an off-handed familiarity with the material, then I guess he's not for you. But if you really want to learn the material and pass your boards---TAKE HIM!
Prof. Bittar is great. He uses the notes from the text book publisher that are exactly what you need to know. Questions are straightforward and never tricky. He always asks questions during lecture that are similar to the exam questions. However with that being said his exams are not easy. The exams get progressively hard.
He gives you 10-15 questions exactly on each exam, and you just have to study the notes he gives in class and the diagrams he tells you to read. I didn't read my book at all. Just went off my notes and his outlines. Very straightforward. Go to class, very beneficial!
Professor bittar goes over and over the material over until everyone understands everything. He also explains exactly what will be on the exam--very fair. Concentrate on the diagrams! Great mentor too and funny. He understands that ppl in university need to have some fun; heck, he even understands that sometimes we’re just plain lazy. hah.
I got a D the first time I took this class.. He is so smart and knows the human body inside and out... He gets distracted REALLY easily.. so don't get up to use the bathroom and do not use your electronics.. He will complain for 10 minutes plus.. I like that he gives questions from the exams and the exam is only over a couple of chapters.
Prof Bittar was very straight forward. No jokes or tricks. The material is a lot and you have to read/ study a lot to be successful. He was a good teacher and gives exam questions in lecture, you just have to listen for them. He is funny, smart, and he is a good teacher.
You can really tell this guy knows what he's talking about from just going over the syllabus--really smart and funny. Looking forward to learn!!
professor bittar very clear on what he expects from students and sets them up for success. Go to class, pay attention and write down all the questions he gives in class. Tests are MORE than reasonable--apply yourself and it’ll pay-off.
the best teacher santa has to offer---I have never had a teacher that actually goes out of his way to give exam questions to students. definently recommend his class over any other in the kinesiology department!!!
great guy. he explains clearly and keeps it simple as possible by using analogies. He goes step by step and makes sure you understand everything before moving on. He gives every tool and opportunity u need to succeed in his class.
Great Teacher, VERY FAIR! Really cares about his students doing well in the course.
He is extremely knowledgeable and is passionate about his field. He does an excellent job at answer questions and gives exam questions during class. He is hard to understand at first but after a while you won't even notice. He also has a good sense of humor. One of my favorite professors.
nice guy. he’s fun, dedicated, and very interactive with his students--you won't be disappointed. Take him.
the best instructor i've ever had. That is pretty much as clear as I can possibly put it. exams are from the reviews he does in class and his lectures are great.
great guy!!!!
this guy seem to be very smart and knowledgeable--very impressive. looking forward to learn..
He's a great lecturer-he explains stuff clearly and thoroughly, then asks follow-up questions pertaining to the material. keeps class interesting and enjoyable.
This teacher has so much knowledge and to be honest his passion about the course really inspires me. I can really tell that he wants to have the students learn the information rather then going through everything so fast! he really is a great guy and if I could I would absolutely take him again.
Sometimes he talks so low so you can't understand. The attendance helps you since he gives some questions for the exam.
Clear lectures---explains everything thoroughly. He's engaging, but warning - he cold calls on people at random. Big on participation....
If you came to class, he gave you questions that were on the test. Tests were difficult for me.
Bittar is a cool guy! He is a good teacher and his class is very informative. He teaches the material like he himself was interested in it---shows great enthusiasm and passion for the subject. He also gives good examples and analogies.
Very good guy! He makes it clear that his exams are easy and they are very basic if you know the material. No grade curving or extra credit. Go to class because he gives you exam questions. Sometimes hard to understand but ask questions and he'll clarify. He loves class participation and HATES cell phones and anything distracting.
great lecturer---he's very good at what he does. Very interested in students' success and cares about helping you learn the material and get a good grade. It's a very easy class even if you aren't an anatomy person---coz he gives out a lot of the exam questions during lecture. Go to class and take good notes...
Easy class as prof. Bittar gives you test questions in class. If you want to easily pass tests, go to class and read his noteslook at figures from book. Actually reading the book isn't necessary if you go to class. He makes real-life analogies that make sense and help you to understand. Prof Bittar is very ego-centric but helpful if you ask him.
He is amazing! He basically tells you in lecture half the questions that will be on the exams. His tests are not difficult either. If you know the basics of the notes (you don't have to go too in detail) and you write down the questions he gives you in lecture you will be fine!
Very fair grader; clear of the expectations for the exams and the exams are fair. However, he is not likable at all. He takes time out of class to lecture us about being lazy or rude. Views everything as a disruption (i.e.: using the restroom) and he is avidly against any technology used in class, even though the book and notes are online.
a college class in general is what you make of it. bittar is not perfect, but if you are looking for a professor to help you learn the material, he is the guy to take. once you put aside the playing in class, youll learn a lot from him. i think he is very knowledgeable and a good professor who cares abt what the students are learning and doing...
Jamal is very unique. During lectures his accent may be hard to understand at times (pronunciation may be off), he'll talk quickly, slowly, quietly, or loudly throughout his lectures. Other than that, he is really nice, and will give pretty good examples and mnemonics to help you remember things. He expects your 100% attention and effort.
My favorite class @ UT. Jamal makes the content interesting, and engages the class which really helps in understanding the material. The content is not the easiest, but he does his job to makes sure we are learning what we need to. Wish I could have more professors like him. The only class I feel like I've actually learned something that will stick
Literally one of the best professors at UT. His anatomy class is super easy and its very interesting. He cares about his students, go to class his lectures are important. His exams are the note packets and he tells you the diagrams that will be on there. People who do not pass and say he is a bad teacher are simply just lazy.
he is a great professor! just do what is expected of you and you will do great :)
Hes very knowledgeable--really knows his stuff. His lectures are superb and gives easy examscant beat that. Like what everyone says and quote; you'll do just fine if you follow what he tells in lecture....
bittar is the besteasiest professor ive had yet. he is enthusiastic about anatomy and could talk forever about it. he lectures the entire class period and also after giving exams. very good at conveying information in different ways to help everyone understand. love this class, love the teacher.
awesome. Great teacher, gets point across in many ways. Likes to rant sometimes but I have learned and retained so much! He understands we are students and have other things but still expects your best. Studies with you during class, gives you questions in the lecture, MUST WRITE DOWN!! Such an amazing teacher, I would take him again in a heartbeat
Great lectures very easy to listen and understand him! One of the best and clear lectures I've ever taken, exams are straight forward. No phones in class and always bring your rocket card for exams
The only thing that counts towards your grade are the exams. Show up to lecture & if you pay attention he will literally say "question 2 on exam is...". He won't do it for the whole exam but the exams are straight forward. He provides guided notes for each ch. Read the book and take the online quizzes (not assigned but they come with the textbook).
his exams are very easy---he really just wants everyone to do well. go to class, pay attention, take notes, study them and youll pass with flying colors. everyone who takes him knows how easy his exams are---it doesnt get any better than professor jamal....
here we go with the whining--the class is too big, the room is too hot, the lectures are too long. a &p contains a lot of material that need thorough explanations and thus lectures are going to be long, but worth it. tests are easy as long as you follow his notesif you cant pass his exams, I dont think youll do well on the quizzes/HW either...
funniest guy ever but yet knows what he's talking about. he loves teaching and his lectures are fun and interesting and delivered in a very exhilarating way...
Your grade is just your 4 exams and the final, the exams are extremely fair and if you go to class he literally tells you most of the questions and the answers. Nothing on the exam is not from his notes so study those! There is also no homework or quizzes. Going to class is going to help big time!
Jamal is a great prof. Grade is only 4 tests and the final. Tests are easy if you follow his notes and examples he gives in class. He gives a final review which is the final exactly. Jamal does take attendance but only for financial aid purposes. Jamal takes time to care about his students and gives great life advice.
Great professor. He knows what he's talking about and you can tell he actually enjoys the material. 4 exams and final. Go to class, he gives a lot of the answers to questions he puts on the exams. Take notes, pay attention, and study some and you can get an A.
he is very smart guy. he gives quite a lot of analogies that help to simplify the concepts. you better read what he tells you to. I've learned a bunch so far. He is fair and treats everybody equally. A wonderful teacher. I would highly recommend.
he lectures on everything you need to know for the test---there are no surprises. The material is hard, but that's the nature of anatomy--as long as you study his notes and listen to what he says during lecture, you should be fine.
He is a really good professor and really knows the material well. My only complaints are that sometimes he doesn't project his voice and I can't really hear what he is saying. Also, if you are bad at test taking I wouldn't recommend because your entire grade is 5 exams.
Great professor, would recommend.
i have taken his class twice, the 1st time yes I found him difficult and rather stand offish. The 2nd time around I loved having him as a teacher he knows a lot of things and does a great job of not throwing that in your face but to help you understand it as well. straight forward with his exams. take him
i have to take his class again unfortunately. HERE'S the thing when you take him make sure you go to his lectures. If u dont want to that's fine just read! 2nd i don't care how intimidating he seems ASK A QUESTION don't be afraid to tell him to repeat what he said! He talks fast If you read the book study for hours you will get a B or A.
awesome teacher. always encourages students to participate and no answer is a bad one. he is very engaging and makes sure to inadvertently tell jokes to stop the monotony of an hour and the half lecture. His note packets are great and if you study them, as well as extra tidbits he gives you, you'll definitely pass this course.
Professor Bitter does have a slight accent, so he is hard to understand sometimes but it shouldn't affect your learning. He provides you with note packets that are very helpful and he also gives you a majority of the test questions in class. He wants all of his students to learn and be successful. I definitely recommend him!
Dr. Jamar knows his stuff very well. If you miss class, you won't pass. He takes attendance only for financial aid purposes. He doesn't give quiz or homework, and your grades come from four tests and the final. He tells you some exact questions he would set in the tests. Be sure to read very well.
Highly recommend. Grades are based only on your tests and the final but he gives you most of the questions and provides a review for the final that is the same as the test. Definitely don't want to miss class sense he gives so many hints, but I never even read the book and still got an A. Very strict about cell phones, and laptops.
Bittar is a knowledgeable guy who won't take any bs. He tries his best to give you mnemonics and examples to help you memorize the material. He also gives you direct questions that will be on the tests/ final. That being said, there is a lot of memorizing in this class, so be prepared. Textbook is not necessary, but nice to have for the figures.
During lectures he will give you test questions and is really straight forward about what he wants you to know. He creates his own lectures and gives you notes to follow. The only grades in the class are the tests so as long as you do the work, then you'll be fine. He is a great professor and really knows the subject.
Dr. Bittar is an AMAZING professor. He gives you most of the questions to his exams in class so it is important to show up and pay attention regularly! He is supper funny, nice, and overall a well respected guy. You should take his class!
Bittar was very straight to the point, there was no homework, just exam grades. If you go to lecture, take notes, and study you will pass.
Honestly the best professor I have ever had. Very passionate about the class and is always willing to help. He has a very relaxed teaching style and during lectures he gives a lot of hints for the exam. I have taken him for both A&P 1 and 2. I highly recommend taking this professor.
Absolutely loved Jamal. Took him for AP I, unfortunately couldn't get into his AP II class, but was able to sneak in after some people dropped - best decision made this semester. Pay attention in class & take good notes, exams aren't hard at all if you do so. He tells you so many questions that'll be on the exam if you pay attention
Dr. Bittar is an amazing man! He comes off very intimidating at first but you get used to him and grow to love him and his teaching style! You have to work hard for your grade and STUDY your notes!! He literally give you test questions and and answers. Even gives a study guide for the final. Only bad thing is he do not curve or round your grade.
KINE2560 is fairly easy, but exams are the only grades. He gives you about 35/50 multiple choice questions in class to help you out, so definitely go. His lecture notes are made in word, and the only thing not in the notes are the diagrams, so you need the book for those which is annoying. No phones/computer, so be ready to take paper notes.
Jamal was a great professor, at the beginning of the semester he is very intimidating. Once you get used to him and his personality he is fine. Your grade consists of the 5 exams from the semester, and there is no homework, extra credit, or curving. He is very serious about the material, but he really tries to give test questions during class.
Jamal is a very knowledgeable guy but he passes as very intimidating till you get to know him. Never miss class because he takes his time to explain and always give exam questions during lecture. He takes attendance but for financial aid purpose. No quizzes or assignments. Grades come from 5 exams only. I took AP 1 with him again for a better grade
His teaching style was really straightforward and he takes the time to elaborate on concepts he really wants you to know. He went out of his way to make lectures engaging. Don't skip class and no phones/laptops, or this Vito Corleone looking fella will take out a hit on your gpa.
The best professor I have had in college! I had him for part one and two. Skim the book before class and interact with his questions! Listen carefully to lecture, it helps tremendously on the exams. If you have any questions make sure to ask because he is always willing to explain! It is hard work but it is worth it when you remember everything!
Jamal is one of the better professors I've had at UT. He gives test questions in class so definitely go. Study the outlines/go to class/or if you don't go to class then look up info on the outlines and you'll be fine! His only grades are the 4 tests/final. Final is literally the study guide he gives!
He gives about 80% of the questions on exams!!!!!!! Dont miss the opportunity of taking him!!!!!! God bless his soul.
Bittar gives you a lot of hints on the topics that will be on the exam. He gives about 10 exact word for word questions that are on the exam, and then he gives about another 15 of the questions but they're worded differently. He doesn't take attendance for credit but YOU HAVE TO GO TO CLASS TO PASS THERE IS NO TEXTBOOK.
Jamal is a great professor, only grades are 5 exams which he gives a lot of answers for in class. He will give exact questions that will be on the test. He is a great and funny guy but comes off as intimidating, no laptops or phones and dont leave class. Overall he is a great and funny guy that cares about his students learning.
GREAT Professor. He was interesting and so helpful. Gave insight for exams so would definitely recommend going to class. Would take him again in a heart beat
I seriously loved this professor. I was really struggling at first (my fault for not listening to the lecture) but if you record his lectures and go back over the info, he gives answers to some of the questions on his exams! He is really there to help you as a student. I REALLY recommend him! So happy I had him for KINE 2560!
Jamal is the type of prof you have to get used to - he's definitely not for everyone, but he grew on me. The only grades put in are exams-never extra credit or hw. Took me a while to understand how to study for his class, but if you go off of his notes and the answers he gives during class, doing well is definitely possible
You're pretty limited on who you can take for A&P 1, so Jamal is probably you're only option. His class was an easy A because his tests were pretty much the notes and the study guides that the SI leader gave. But I feel like it was straight memorization rather than actual learning, which I don't think is an effective way of running a classroom.
awesome teacher. gives excellent note packages, always encourages students to participate and no answer is a bad one. he is very engaging and makes sure to inadvertingly tell jokes to stop the monotony of a 1.5 hour lecture. His note packets are great and if you study them, as well as extra tidbits he gives you, you'll defintely pass this course.
I hope to be able to have Jamal for A&P2. I think his teaching style is great-he goes in depth explaining the material and I've learned a lot from him. He encourages questions and participation, and is approachable. I highly reccommend him.
Best A&P I & II Instructor ever. A great teacher who knew his material and made class interesting. will miss having him as a teacher! He was the best!
very clear on what will be expected of you, really if you study the questions he says you'll do great. Great guy and teacher. grade only by exams, no curving.
Very clear of what is expected of you. If you work hard and study you will pass. There is no extra credit or curving, which is fine. However, I was deathly sick for an exam, still showed up to take it, got a doctors note after and asked if I could retake the exam as I got a super low grade and he said no. That is why I ended up with a C, not an A.
He knows a lot and delivers all the info with wit and care. He can be tough but not a hard professor... just really anal about tardiness & cellphones and talks wayyyy too much--you'll never leave class early. But I learned more than I ever thought I would and enjoyed it more than I ever thought I would. Take him if you can
Jamal is so helpful if you actually LISTEN. He frequently tells you, write this down, this will be on the exam and then repeats that sentence 3 or 4 times to make sure everyone wrote it down, and then he goes on to explain it in great detail. He uses a lot of analogies to help us understand the material better, and it helps so much.
This class is solely based off of 5 exams and thats it. If you dont go to class and listen/take notes, then you probably will struggle in here. Jamal knew what he was talking about however, he is kind of full of himself and very intimidating. It was fine but I had to work hard and study a lot for a grade.
Great teacher, gives outline of notes and then explains off outline you printed up. He is very straight-forward, doesn't ask you to know things that aren't on the test and tells you exactly what will be on the test. Very knowledgeable and fair. will take him for KINE 2570!
He is a good teacher! Make sure you pay attention and take very good notes and you will do great!
I loved this professor because he was clear cut about his rules, the exams, and all of the above. I really learned and paid attention in this class because no one was allowed to talk or be on their phones so there was no distraction. He made it clear what would be on exams and he's very respected and knowledgable.
Great professor! You are only graded by the exams but he provides hints & answers to the questions in his lecture. A very easy class if you show up and take notes! I didnt really study a lot and still ended up with an A thanks to his hints.
TAKE HIM! Cannot stress it enough. He literally gives you 1/4 of the questions on the exam and will repeat several times. Just print out the notes and come to class with a highlighter. He does go super in depth, but you learn rather than just memorizing. Some questions may be a bit tricky, but overall, you will do well!
Take Jamal!! I loved having him as a professor and I am taking him again for A&P 2! He literally tells you what exactly is going to be on the exams and tells you what answer to look for. He will repeat the question he is going to ask several times to make sure everyone got it. Attendance is not mandatory, but you will not do well if you skip class
Don't take him online. He does not provide recorded lectures, which would've been nice because he gives hints for the exams during them. He does not interact with his online students at all, and so you essentially teach yourself the entire semester. Your grade is solely based on 5 exams and a final, which are primarily based off notes.
Professor Bittar is absolutely brilliant and it was totally worth taking his class. I found taking notes difficult, because I am so involved listening to him--- he holds my attention for the entire 1.2 hours of lecture. Awesome speaker and has a wealth of knowledge. I'm taking him for KINE2570!!
A&P online is not an easy class--a LOT of material to cover on your own, but his power points (packets) are great & he gives a study guide for each of his tests. His test questions are all from the study guides and notes. Follow his study guides and you will not have any problems on the tests.
the best thing Ive ever done at UT was take A&P from Jamal Bittar. if you can't get into his class, put off A&P until you can. he's the best; I wish I could take more classes from him.
Tests are set up to make you stumble. It's not about if you know the material- it's about if you can analyze the way this professor thinks. I passed the class with a B. Answers to questions from previous exams will change on the final and are incredibly subjective.
The prof is passionate and knowledgable about the subject and is creative in the way he teaches it. Does an excellent job at relating anatomy with real life examples and connecting the whole course load together. I loved this class, so much so that if I had to miss it I was upset.
very enthusiastic teacher, however he tries to cram too much into the course. A LOT of information to take in. However, he gives you every question that is gonna be on the exam..
Bittar knows his stuff and his class was never boring, I would totally recommend to anyone. Also his exams are very easy, its not hard to pass the class as long as you do the work.
One of the best professors I've had at UT so far. Truly cares about his students understanding the material, but a lot of info is packed into the course so go to lecture. He says word for word exam questions so show up to class ready to pay attention. The same text book is used for A and P one but its not really necessary.
Jamal can be very blunt and to the point. He knows his material by heart. He mostly overloads you with information to the point you have a solid understanding. He is unforgiving, but in a positive light. He does care, but he expects you to care more. He only grades through exams, so you must be prepared. One bad grade will drop you out of A range.
Jamal cares about his students passing, but he wont hand feed you an A. Go to his lectures and he gives you many questions that will be on the exam so make sure to write them down. The only grades for the semester are 5 exams. Make sure to study well before the exams. exam questions are mostly straightforward. He does talk fast so sit in the front.
I didnt learn anything from his class. His PowerPoint is messy and his lecture is so boring he wants you to write every single word behind him, this is impossible for not native speaker, also his accent is hard and pronounced some letters wrong way. He did not give you the whole class time to take exam, the first 50 minutes for exam then lecture.
This class is challenging but he gives you all the tools to succeed. I would recommend taking this class in a heartbeat but be prepared to do a lot of reading!
I took his course and received an A-. Do the study guides, go over the PowerPoint notes that he has posted online and you will do great. No need to buy book...
Be prepared to do a lot of work in this course, though the work is cut out very clear---just go over his PowerPoint notes and study guides. He is very transparent as to what he looks for in his exams. Would definitely take a course from him again...
I've taken him for anatomy 1&2. If you show up to his lectures and take notes. What he says is exactly what's on his exams. Not only that but he really cares about students learning the subject. He genuinely wants everyone to pass. He's always available and happy to help students with anything.
He is extremely rude to the students. He talks about respect on the first day but if you show up late he will call u out and talk to you after class and say that's rude. But if you don't come to class you miss so much. Strong accent. GRADES FROM EXAMS ONLY. He gives you tons of hints and the notes have all the info but he really is just rude.
Bittar is very knowledgeable in anatomy and will go into great detail with course material. There are no assignments/quizzes you need to keep up with but exams. He makes the exams easy by giving a lot of hints. Definitely would take again, as I learned a lot from him.
Prof. Bittar cares for all his students and wants everyone to succeed. He will never try to trip you up on any exams and tells you exactly what hes looking for on exams. He is not only one of the nicest professors at UT, but also one of the best Ive had in my first year of college.
Awesome professor! Really passionate about the material and wants students to succeed.
Your grade totally depends on exams, nothing else. Bittar is a great professor and is clearly respected among his students. He knows what he's talking about and will crack the occasional dad joke here and there. He does have high expectations of his students. There's a lot of material but the difficulty is not hard. Note that no laptops are allowed
He does not require webcam for tests and his lectures are very in depth. Attendance is not mandatory but I recommend going.
Lecture can be boring, but he drops a lot of hints on what will be on the exam. The only things you will be graded on are the exams you take with the lockdown browser with no camera. He can be hard to understand sometimes when he talks and his writing is hard to read, but he genuinely cares for his student and wants them to succeed. No HW:)
Bittar is a good teacher. His lectures can be boring but he does try VERY hard to keep you engaged and happy. Hes funny and very helpful. The only points in this class are exams, so GO to class. No extra work is assigned so its not much to ask. If you go to class you will do great. Take bittar if you can!
Bittar is a godsend! The only teacher you should have for A & P. Clear in what he wants and his teaching style seriously makes the material understandable and manageable. He is funny and loves to joke around. Don't take anatomy with anyone else - will miss him & his class dearly...
Dr. Bittar is a solid choice. I'll be honest that I fell asleep most classes, but he really does try to make the material engaging for an hour and a half. He's a decent guy too, throws in a lot of jokes.
Had to retake anatomy and took it with Bittar. Wished I had taken him the first-time around, his teaching style seriously makes the material understandable and manageable. Also very nice and funny guy. I'm very happy to have taken both anatomy courses with him :)
Jamal is a character. He is funny but can be annoying at times. You just never know what to expect from him. However, he does expect his students to really take in the material. He gives so many exam answers away. However, he talks super fast and doesn't typically repeat things. He is a solid choice if you want a class that isn't too hard or easy.
I'll make this clear right away - A & P is a very difficult class. Bittar is very good at explaining things and making concepts clear. In order to do well - attend all the lectures, read the book, write down all the questions he goes over in class and take advantage of the supplemental instruction. If you have the chance, TAKE HIS CLASS!
Dr. Bittar is a great professor who really knows his material. There is not homework, and attendance is not required but I would not advise skipping too much since there is so much material he goes over in class. He makes sure to interact with the class, so have fun with him and get to know him! Participation makes it fun
This professor is alright, he refuses to give any student help if their work is late and if you are 2 minutes late to an assignment, her has no remorse for you nor will he care.
His PowerPoint note packets are great and if you study them, as well as the study guides, he provides online, you'll definitely pass this course.
Completely straightforward, 5 tests and 5 quizzes are from the PowerPoint notes covered in class--that is it. If you study them, as well as the study guides, he gives you, you'll definitely pass this course.
I absolutely loved taking anatomy 1 with Professor Bittar. He makes lectures interesting by joking around and telling stories. He doesn't allow electronic use, so notes are taken by hand unless you have permission from the disability office on file. The only grades in this class are quizzes and exams, so make sure you read the book and study.
Jamal is an amazing profe that is very enthusiastic about the class he teaches, and as long as you pay attention in class, you will do well. The material can be dry sometimes, but he makes it a lot more interesting with small tidbits and stories. He often tell you straight up what on the exam and everything is straight from his ppt. 10/10 recommend
NO ELECTRONICS ALLOWED IN HIS CLASS AT ALL. but, overall the entire class is 5 quizzes and 5 exams, all online and unproctered. He is very indifferent on attendance and reads straight from the slides every lecture. Never gets out early but is overall a great professor for the basic anatomy info
Great lectures really bring the subject alive - he's amazing. You won't regret taking him! He's easy, funny, and above all passionate about teaching a & p. I recommend him to the fullest.
I took Bittar for both a&p 1 and 2. He is one of the best teachers that I've ever had. Funny, great explanations, and gave a lot of analogies - you never had to read the book as long you go to class . May sure you take all your notes and pay attention and you will do great! I definitely recommend - he's awesome.
Prof. Bittar does not take attendance for POINTS but takes attendance in each class. NO ELECTRONICS ALLOWED IN CLASS except an iPad to write hand notes. (Seriously no phone use or he will call you out.) Only have 5 exams (including the final) and 5 quizzes the whole semester. If you go to class he will give you a lot of test answers.
TAKE THIS PROF FOR A&P!!! THIS IS YOUR SIGN! Lectures: mostly boring, too many slides, and will use the FULL amount of time to lecture. But all exam answers are on Quizlet. Take that info as you wish. Very sacarstic but kinda funny. Good guy. Wants students to try so that's why some people might think he's rude but he's just spitting facts.TAKE HIM
Took for both A&P 1 and 2, easiest professor. Attendance only taken for first two weeks then after that very rarely. Only graded by exams and quizzes, which are easy but on lockdown with no webcam or microphone. Funny professor but takes the entire hour and twenty to lecture. Passed both classes with A and only went three times :)
Jamal Bittar is a very respectable and fair professor who was always very helpful. He would try to make lectures interesting by comparing the topics to day-to-day life and liked to make funny jokes here and there. He does not tolerate tardiness or any disruptions in his class so be prepared to focus up. All quizzes and tests were online.
Professor Bittar brings a fun, engaging teaching style to this course. While the material can be dry at times, his jokes and real-world examples make it more interesting. To succeed, attend class, read the textbook, and utilize helpful study tools like Unstuck ai. An overall solid choice for an anatomy credit.
He is a good professor, and knows a lot about anatomy. The lectures got boring at times but he tried to relate it to real life things and gave good examples. The class was based on exams and quizzes only which were online & lockdown browser with no webcam. It's an easy class if you take notes and pay attention.
EASIEST ANATOMY CLASS YOU WILL TAKE!!!! Learned a lot but no stress learning it because the material was made super easy to understand
Professor Bittar knows anatomy forwards and back. Took him online for anatomy 1 and he's pretty hands off for that (no lectures posted, only the PowerPoint slides), but I took anatomy 2 in person. His lectures get boring but try your best to pay attention and understand what he's saying. He talks fast so a lot is packed into each lecture.
Jamal is a great professor! It is encouraging seeing how much information he knows about Anatomy. He wants his students to succeed, so I would say that is why his standards are high. Do not be late to class, do not interrupt, and do not cheat. He will call you out!! All quizzes and exams are online with lockdown browser but no webcam or mic.
The entire course was a link to a book, weekly quizzes and exams. There were no lectures, just some included slideshows with nothing to go with them. It felt as though there was little to no effort from the teaching perspective. As an online course it was 100% on the students to teach themself. Very frustrating.
The course content was well organized and easy to follow. All quizzes and exams questions came directly from the lecture slides. Also, the Connect assignments provided valuable practice and reinforced the concepts. Overall, the course was easy and very worth taking.
His courses are among the easiest in the exercise science department at UT. His classes usually follow a similar grading format, with five exams and five quizzes. The assessments are fair and straightforward, with many questions coming directly from the lecture slides. I was able to earn an A in his classes without needing to study extensively.
I absolutely LOVED Professor Bittar. He is strict about classroom etiquette and will randomly ask students questions, but his lectures are amazing. He is incredibly knowledgeable about everything that he is talking about and is very entertaining. It was to the point that I was writing down a "quote of the day" because they are so out of pocket.
