Mr Arnone is such a lovely human being. I probably would not have passed Bio1 without him. Although the topics were hard and confusing,he did his best to make it simple and understandable. He is willing to help anyone who needs help and seeks it. I would take him a 100 times more if I could. Too bad he doesn't teach bio II :(

I had Dr. Arnone for Biology 1 this year and he is very knowledgeable on this subject and shows great interest as well. He is very patient and will work with you even when you least expect it, such as on weekends and sometimes even Sundays. The content is not all that easy to learn, however he supplies the information you will need to pass!

It's a lecture heavy class, but still enjoyable. The material is difficult but not impossible to learn if you put in the effort. I took it during the summer and I studied every day after every class for 2-3 hours. I passed his exams with good grades, so it's possible to do well. He's a great professor to take, definitely recommend!

James Arnone is great. He is a nice guy and a solid teacher that explains concepts well, but the material can be challenging and a lot. There are many opportunities for extra credit to take advantage of including SEC points. I studied hard to keep up, but if you put in the time and effort consistently its manageable and the work pays off.

Great professor, took him during summer session. Class goes by pretty quickly since it's SS, but as long as you stay on top of material you'll be okay. His tests are pretty challenging, but nothing on there that you won't encounter in lecture, didn't even need textbook, just Khan Acad. and powerpoints

Has a deep understanding of the material. Moves a little quick but don't be afraid to ask questions. Supper accommodating to his students as long as you put in the work and ask the right questions you'll be okay

Totally awesome class! Even though this class is one of the hardest, Professor Arnone makes everything so easy with his easy teaching. He actually takes the time and effort to make sure you understand. But if you wanna get a good grade you definitely need to put in some extra effort and read! Would definitely recommend this professor!

Excellent at giving knowledge, if you struggle to remember the difference between the Calvin Cycle, Photosynthesis, the differences between meisosis and mitosis at each and every phase, you are going to struggle. If you cant understand it, just drop the course.

Goes fast in lectures be prepared to take notes and listen at the same time. Also doesn't hurt to review posted power points before exams.

The instructor was knowledgeable about the subject, and other subjects related to the course. The homework website was beneficial and interactive. Overall, professor Arnone is an amazing professor that care for his students. Just make sure pay attention to the lectures. P.S. Do not look at your phone while he is giving the class.

Great professor if you are majoring in biology. Thoroughly explains material clearly, and always answers questions before moving on. No study guides for tests and tests are lengthy. STUDYING 4+hours IS NECESSARY if you want to pass. General Biology is generally tough, this professor does the best at explaining the material.

One of the best professors I've ever had. He really knows how to communicate the information to the class. He provides plently of help outside of class and is willing to work with you until you understand. Class is pretty difficult but no where near impossible. Personally, I think Dr. Arnone is a fantastic Professor. He teaches General Biology 1 so well, but there is a catch. While he may be a great professor in terms of teaching the subject, he is a tough grader in terms of tests. They are not easy by any means and require a lot of Effort. Professor Arnone is a great teacher who tried his best in lab. It was just really hard because he was limited in what he actually had access to so he couldnt teach everything how he wanted to. His tests are really hard but if you go to his office he will help you the best he can.

Dr. Arnone is very fair. He explains the material well. Took him for cell bio lab, and giving the circumstances of him not having full access to the class, I thought he did a great job. He grades assignments quickly and is available for office hours. The only thing I did not like was that he seemed to get bothered by too many QUESTIONS AT TIMES.

His teaching method is so clear and descriptive that you can understand the material easily. He gives several homework assignments that helps you review. His quizzes and tests can be difficult, but as long as you understand the material and concepts you'll do well. He give extra credit on tests and towards the end of class.

Great professor! Had him for Bio 1 lab and Patnaik for lecture. When things didn't make sense or got hard in lecture, Arnone answered any questions we had since our lab class was two and a half hours long. Super nice and good looking guy, cracked some jokes during class, and overall was very helpful in explaining the topics we were discussing.

I took Dr. Arnone for BIO 1 lab, with Patnaik as my lecture professor. Anytime there was a topic that wasn't fully comprehended in lecture, Arnone was able to explain it into words that overall, made more sense. The labs are straight forward, and he lets you hand them in by end of the day, and overall he was a fun teacher to have. Highly recommend!

Dr. Arnone truly epitomizes what it means to be a great professor. This class is not easy, but he sets up every student for success. You must however take it upon yourself to utilize the resources he provides you (this means looking over the material as frequently as possible.) He conveyed every topic very methodically -- I don't see myself forgetting Cell Bio anytime soon, and I feel much more prepared to take the MCAT. Excellent orator. After 4 years of college, I can honestly say he is the first professor to show how much he cares about the well being of his students. Bio2050 is difficult but Dr. Arnone makes things as easy as possible. He teaches from his powerpoints which he also posts online so you always have access to the information he's giving in class. Cell Bio is a TOUGH subject no matter what but Arnone is definitely the professor to take it with. I learned a lot from his class. I took him for Cell Bio and honestly was more interested than I thought I'd be. He also does tutoring and extra help outside of the classroom. He does a lot of drawing on the board, step by step, to explain Biological processes. He really knows the material in depth and is able to explain things in various ways.

Dr. A was a great professor. I had him for Bio1340 my first semester and I really enjoyed the class. It is very lecture heavy and the tests are pretty difficult. Reading the book and doing the homework is a must. He did not give too much homework, no projects. He tried to help the class out by giving extra credit and curves on the tests.

A typical lecture is very heavy with material, therefore, pay attention and take the best notes you can. After class, go back through the powerpoint and write down everything you might have missed. He uses very big vocabulary and talks very fast so make sure you are on top of it during lecture. Test are hard but he gives quick and good feedback.

While Biology might be a difficult subject for some, Dr. A makes it easier to understand. He offers extra credit on his exams, takes attendance, and makes PowerPoints to go over in class. Best professor I've had in years. If you're a BIO major, it would be a disservice not to register for this professors classes. He makes sheets of what notes are going to be on tests. Be careful though, you may run out of time or have little time left over on tests, so time management is important.

Dr. Arnone has weekly or bi-weekly quizzes to keep you up to date on the content since it can be complex. Really helps with exams. Lectures can be densely packed so he does offer office hours weekly. Lecture final is cumulative but lab final isn't. You do have to work for your grades but I would definitely take him again, he cares alot!!
