Unless you are a history major, I REALLY don't recommend him because he gives WAY too much work. A lot of reading novels and writing essays is required, which is very time consuming. If it was an english class it would be ok, but not for a history class..

Dr. Baer was one of the best teachers i've ever had. His teaching style keeps you interested in what he has to say. He'll do anything to make sure you know what's going on. He gives you the answers to all the tests through note-taking. Although the class requires three books, if u take the notes you'll get an A for sure.

Agreed, his grading is very unfair. I never recieved ANYTHING below a B on his papers. Which all add up to 60%, however i recieve a C on both the final and midterm and end up with a final grade of a C. I studied over 300 words on the final, memorized them all, but less then 30 showed up. But I'll digress, simply put, he's uninteresting and unfair.
