I thought Becketts class was a good class.I didnt think it was all that hard.You always know what is on the tests and you get a word bank. Just make sure you follow directions and dont ask him questions when you are disecting, he gets a little anal.

BS class. EASY A, just go to the class and study for tests like a day ahead of time and tests are just labeling.

I got an A! the chapter take-home exams are a great learning tool. The lectures were always interesting .Do not take Beckett if you do not plan to study and do the work. If you do study you can really understand human physiology.

Dr. Beckett is a great professor. Lectures are always on point. I had no problem with the tests, but Im a bit serious about my career so I study. I highly recommend him, had a great time!!

He's a serious guy, but very funny. I plan to be a radiology technologist someday and I can tell you this is the exact guy to take if your interested in the medical field. I heard good things about this guy and it all proved to be true, plus he's a real Doctor so he knows his stuff. I say thumbs up!

I heard that he is a better teacher for his lab classes rather than his lectute class. I'm taking him for lab now and it is a very easy, fun, class.(So don't his lecture class,just take his lab classes.)

nice guy...but come on...how much effort does it take to get the grades in on time? my grade shows an "L" because he has not entered grades yet. Also, I found that he takes the time to remember the names of the girls in the class he wants to tap...if you're not pretty or don't have a great shape forget ever having him know who you are.

definitely suggest taking this professor. He is interesting and uses real examples to make material easy to understand. He tells you what to study for tests. Not an Easy A, but if you put in the work and listen to him you'll get a good grade and learn alot of good material.

Great Teacher!!!! Study what he says its on the tests, no tricks, if you have any questions he is happy to anwser them, applys real life situations to the material. He's the best teacher I have had. I got an A in lab and Lec!

Easy A and the lectures are very informative. He lectures during lab and applies real life situations to the content being learned. This is not a high stressed science lab either. The class is well worth the money, I recommend him.

His a great professor

I took this teacher in spring 2006, well I got an A. As long you study his notes from the board you're set. No tricks in is classroom test, and always willing to help you. Most of the time he would ask if anyone needs help to forward then he help you. Very smart Doctor, you'll love is class. He have a good sense of humor, he likes to joke.

no lab (only one disection), all lecture, he said students at PBCC arent ready for a real lab class. he just goes over a few things from each chapter and has each student study the textbook's websites vocab and labeling sections. he will assign several chapters to know, and only test you on one labeling page and on a few vocab.

I took Dr Beckett for A&P lecture and lab as a nursing pre-requisite. I studied the lecture notes he had and read the chapters and got a high A. He was also a good source of information on going into the medical field.

Best Anatomy and Physiology professor period. This man is a brain; not like others that can't explain anything that is not on a power point. He is an actual medical doctor. You can't find anything better than that anywhere. Tells you exactly what will be on the exam. If you don't pass it's because you did not study.

Good instructor if you want to learn, he is there to help you and expects you to. The best A&P instructor on campus. better than Dr. Ray who thinks you have nothing else to do but write.

I took Prof. Beckett for BSC2085L, the A&P 1 lab. He's awesome! He understands fully what he teaches, and if you don't he'll literally stop the class and explain it in whatever way needed to let you understand. All tests for the lab come from online flash cards and diagrams. I missed some class, and he REALLY helped me out to get everything done!

Dr. Beckett is a great professor (and hot too!!). I had him for A&P 2 Lab...but don't be fooled his class is a lot of work. I had him for summer so maybe the class was a little condensed but I worked harder for this 1 credit lab than I did for two 3 credit courses combined. Lots of memorization and labeling!! I liked him for lab. I went to Rays class for Lecture, between "add ons" with Ray I would study quickly for Beckett class. Wasn't hard, short term memory is all you need. He would tell you that monday was labeling on stomach, night before I memorized the labeling, he handed out the exact label picture with the exact words and that was our tests.

Ilove Dr.Beckett. He is very smart. His teaching style is unique. A lot of computer interaction is required. I passed his class withan A. Lecture is not as easy as Lab. Lecture requires a lot of readind, studying, and note taking. You will go crazy trying to pass his lecture. Vocabulary his very is a must.Take Dr.Ray for Lecture and Beckett for Lab

I took him for Bio II lecture, and I overall enjoyed his class. He tends to rely on the power points too much, but he does a good job at keeping your attention. I personally would recommend him for lecture and I heard that his lab class is pretty easy also. You will need the book for this class.

Dr. Beckett definitely knows his stuff!! He's a funny professor and if you're interested in what he's teaching then you'll love his class. He used the book and powerpoint slides mainly, so if you study those then you should usually de pretty well on the tests!

He is nuts and so hilarious. Sometimes he goes off track while teaching his power points but his tests are EASY. He gives you about 200 questions to study from and picks 50 and thats his test. All you have to do is read the questions a few times and you should get a 100%. I recommend!!!

Dr Beckett is great! He is very helpful, and wants everyone to do well in his class. He gives you exactly what to study for the test and quizzes. Just study the questions and you will definitely get an A. :)

He's wonderful and very helpful in his lecture classes but his labs are horrible. Majority of the class got an "A" on the lecture class exams but "D" and "F" are the lab quizes. I did not learn one thing during any of the labs.

Take his time to teach you the important chapters. Keep the class motivating. Highly recommended

Professor Beckett is the best, he is very helpful and comprehensive when it comes to attendance. If you have any problem just let him know and he will give a chance to make up for the quiz or the test.
