Dr. Brown is an amature photographer and his PowerPoints are a work of art. They are spectacular with video clips and everything. He designs every test from scratch and it ties in to what was presented in class. Take Him!

Dr. Brown is a once in a life-time find as a professor. He is absolutely inspiring. He is the brother of the famous naturalist and author, Tom Brown "The Tracker" and it shows. He took all of his Biology classes out into the Pine Barrens and gave them the best outside lab ever. I highly, highly, recommend him !!!!

I hate science but Dr. Brown made this TOTALLY ONLINE course come alive for us. The discussions are outstanding. The capstone experience was visiting a park and describing the fauna (plant life). BEST PROFESSOR I EVER HAD! I am a nursing student in DC and I needed an online micro course. He made the course a beautiful work of art. He goes way out of his way to help you and if you get stuck with a lab he will even call you up on the phone to walk you though it. I took this proffessor for microbiology over the summer. This topic was very interesting and I am glad I took it with him. He told you exactly what you needed to focus on for exams and I did very well. Take this before getting into the nursing program trust me. You won't be disappointed!!

Dr. Jim Brown is the BEST PROF that I ever had. This is my second online course with him (microbiology online). I am in the nursing program at OCC and work full time at JSUMC as a tech. The online course was an answer to prayer for me. If you get stuck on a lab he calls you up and walks you through it. He is the BEST !!!

by far the most amazing nice caring professor everrr!! He was so helpful ALL the time. He didnt take off points for late assignments.. always around and so GIVING to the students. He tells us to call him at home if we need more help. All in all BEST PROFESSOR EVER. RECOMMENDED MAJORLYYY

I took Dr. Brown for Cont. Health online. He is very helpful and the class was really easy. He seems to like length in his assignments, but def an easy A. Course outline: read 1 chapter a week, take the chapter test (open book unlimited time), 1-3 paragraph assignment each week, discussion board, and 1 research paper. Great prof I recommend him!

I am taking Introduction to Biology with Dr. Jim Brown. I never had biology in high school and I struggle with science. He makes it a blast and has the patience of a saint. I keep slowing the rest of the class down asking so many questions. I will never forget him describing amino acids as box cars hooked together in a freight train. TAKE HIM !!!

He was a realy good teacher and helped as well as made clea all aspects in the course. It was really a hands on course in which the student is able to learn and perform labs and necessary tasks with out so much tension and ample time.

I have had the pleasure of taking two classes with Dr. Brown. He is an outstanding professor. My prerequisites are complete now so unfortunately I will not be taking anymore classes with him in the immediate future. The labs are done with a LabPaq which comes to your hose with a microscope. Its the best way to learn because you really need to learn it. He will even call you up if you get stuck. I took biology online with Dr. Brown. He is the BEST. He even gave out his personal phone number to assist his students during all hours. Since I was deployed (I'm in the Army) at the time, he even Skyped with me to help me set up my microscope since I was having difficulties. I hope I can take another course with him!

Dr. Brown had a clear course outline and gave lots of help to get an "A" if you did "ALL" the work! He demands alot of participation and grades accordingly. The tests were very hard, but he gives you a chapter outline, study guide and offered study sessions. I think he is a excellent instructor and very knowledgeable!

Professor Brown was great teacher. He gives examples that you will hopefully remember when it's time for the test. All you really need to do is study and show up and you're sure to get an "A".

Took him for bio 1...he talks about himself a lot in the beginning but once you go through semester he realizes he needs to get stuff done before he runs out of time he'll stop. 3 tests/1 final, drops lowest grade. Dr Brown was an excellent professor for the HPE115 Public Health Introduction course online class at MCCC. All the discussions and assignments online were so interesting including the different website articles. There were several things I wasn't aware of regarding Public Health issues and it was a great help for me to get more knowledge about it.

Best online Anatomy and Physiology course ever. I took it last summer and Dr. Brown is a true master at online courses. They call him the Godfather of Online Science and I can see why. My friend had him for microbiology and told me he was the best. She was right. Take him!!

professor Brown is one of the most understanding teachers that I have ever had. I was having a rough semester and he allowed me to complete the course passed the allowed time, and still do well. I owe him one, and would advise everyone to take something that he teaches!

Professor Brown is a nice guy and he is helpful we had three tests, 10 journals, news items, one term paper, and lab. You could pass his class if you do the other assignments and the term paper and fail three tests. It is possible. I learned a lot from taking his class.

Dr. Brown's online BIO 200 for CUNY SPS this summer was a truly excellent class. Dr. Brown's methods allow almost any student to be successful-- you can retake the quizzes as many times as you want in order to get a higher score, and there's a lot of extra credit offered. Take this class if you want a good grade and an interesting prof!

Dr. Brown made me fall in love with Public health. This was the best time to take this class, during the Ebola outbreak. I learned a lot just by watching the news.

Prof Brown is very helpful and quick to respond. My computer had to go to Apple the last week of class and couldnt log in.
