It's refreshing to have a professor that will look at both ends of the spectrum and introduce new thoughts and ideas. best part of the class was having open debates...you could say anything and it was considered in the discussion...opinions were valued no matter what they were...good job prof. b!

Great experience,wasn't concerned too much in the subject matter in fact I postponed taking the course for 3 yrs. I ceratinly picked the right Prof, felt so much inspiration from a Prof. Not Common! Inspired me be an activist on issues I'm passionate about!!Thanks for teaching with such an open mind

very easy!. i loved his class...it was one of the classes i enjoyed the most and i learned alot too. he lets you use notes on your exams and you only have three exams. he gives you alot of extra credit. you will definitely get an A in his class.

Buccelato is an excellent professor! His tests are easy and you're allowed to use your notes. He's probably the best professor I've ever had. I actually enjoyed his lectures and learned so much. He also offers lots of extra credit. You can get an A really easily.. take this class!

Awesome teacher and a bonus is he is very good looking and young. Got alot out of the class. Exams you get to use your notes. A couple one page reaction papers that are so easy.

his tests are elementary! he's a great teacher and he doesn't seem to care if you leave early or come late, and he gives extra credit. by far my easiest class of the semester and i learned too!

the class is ridiculously easy, no challenge at all. It is more of a debate class than polisci, but if your looking for an easy A, then he will do. If you receive anything less than an A in his class you are definately "special ed."

This professor was intelligent and knowlegeable and clearly had a passion for the subject. His classes rarely felt like lectures, but more like an open discussion on various topics. He made everyone's points feel welcome and important, even if they disagreed with his own beliefs. He's a great teache and he inspired me to become a social activist.

Buccelato is my favorite. Great personality, very open minded and very intellectual. I had a great time and learned alot (even about things that were of no interst to me before). His classes are so much fun and never a boring moment. A real assests to WSU. I strongly recommend him. He treats everyone with respect. AMAZING! H

Buccelato is a really nice and down to earth guy. I like the guy and all but his lectures are absoluetly boring..we started with about 50 students but only about 15 showed up on a regular basis...also his tests are not as easy as ppl say...u have to know your stuff...if u dont make sure to do the bonus cuz it can really bring u up.

defintely the best teacher ever, always do your reaction papers and bonus points, his tests aren't that hard, open note, J.B is def. the man.. take him for p.s you won't regret it..

The conclussions he makes about history and society come from a very standard liberal view. I almost find ot annoying that I can predict the ideas he wants his class to form. But with that said it is a really easy class. Thorough review sheet and painless tests.

Great professor! His lectures are very interesting. I learned a lot from this class and I never even have interest in this subject before. Tests are open notes so you need to take good notes. Don't sleep in class and don't leave early, it makes him furious.

his class is so easy, his exams are open notes, and are fair. i attended most of his lectures, did reaction papers did two out of his five extra credit, and got 80s in his exams and i finished with a 100%(A) in his class. so it's a guranteed A, he is by far the best

This class is a sure A. I didn’t study at all for any of the exams, all of which were open note and very easy, and the papers were short and harmless. He offered 2 extra credits each worth 15 points, and one was just being registered to vote. He is extremely liberal so if you are a conservative you may not enjoy the class.

My favorite teacher at Wayne by far. He makes the class very interesting. Tests are open note...so take good notes. Gives out extra credit for being a registered voter. Amazing professor. Easy A and I learned alot

The student was correct hes gorgeous! They should call him Mcdreamy Hes smart and very liberal. The class was boring but he put a twist on history and made it interesting The study guide tells you everything on the exam and you can use your notes! I was never into political mumbo jumbo but I'd change my major to history just to take his courses

He's a great professor. He really cares about what he is teaching to his class. He is extremely liberal. However, he does not try to indoctrinate you with his political ideology (even though I am also an unabashed liberal). Very easy to work with. I'm taking another PS class with him next semester. highly recommended.

Blown away! Very sexy, smart, and funny. I am smitten with him! Makes class interesting, you want to question authority after taking this class lol. 3 tests & reaction papers. Easy class. WSU better hold onto to him tight. Any student would be lucky to take him, and girl lucky to have him! Take this class!

This professor is probably one of the best professors at making political history fun to learn. He is a strong liberal so if you like Fox News, good luck. Dr. Buccellato knows is information and does a great job of explaining the material. His exams are multiple choice and true/false and he posts study guides and they tell you whats on the exams.

AWESOME! Made me change my major, you won't regret this class, sooo interesting, taught the way I would have...he's awesome, knowledgable, approachable and has awesome resources as well.

He wore a Bad Brains t-shirt on the first day of class; awesome. I came to the class as a senior to fulfill the general ed requirement. He's a really good teacher, makes everything accessible and interesting, and he's super funny.

Gives quality feedback on papers, but demands quality work in return. Students don't need to read for the quizzes. His jokes might be offensive to students not of his political stance (left-wing). Goes out of his way to help students score a good grade. Would take a class from him again.

Great teacher. Very helpful and gives interesting lectures. Go to his office hours before a paper is due, he may look over it and give feedback. His feedback on the final papers is very helpful. He's an overall good guy who wants you to do well. Hopefully you are not a FOX News fan or even Republican, he rags on them at every opportunity.

I was extremely to have him for my Honors professor. He grades easy, and gives alot of good feedback on ur writing. his lectures are very good as he correlates what we are learning with modern examples, most from pop culture. pretty interesting guy. says some funny things that makes u glad u have him instead of another professor

He was a great teacher. Compared to other teachers, he seemed liked the easiest grader. Gave great feedback on papers. I had him proofread my papers 2-3 times. The disc class is very long, but he tries to keep you interested. Showed lots of interesting clips and movies. Montgomery and Buc are the best profs. Buc gets the edge on grading.

Awesome teacher! He is one of us! Very updated and interested in his topic. Classes ARE long, but he keeps the topics interesting. Don't do essays at the last minute. Put effort on them and you're good. If your interested in the subject matter, there is much you can learn. The discussions are very detailed and he even adds in-class videos!

He's even easier in HON2000 than he is in HON1000. He understands we have a lot on our plates as it is with classes, so he eases up. Just show that you care by contributing and putting effort into your papers. Average in the class was an 89.7%. The final paper is hard to put together, but that is the fault of your group. Easiest HON prof currently.

Best honors professor ever!!

He's the easiest honors 1000 paper by far. His grading is super easy as long as you put in an effort. Nice guy and willing to help. The discussions are long but he makes them interesting and often uses videos (a film about Johnny Knoxville in Detroit, Fight Club, etc.)

Very helpful senior lecturer for the discussion sections of Dean Herron's lectures. He's really laid back and doesn't grade too hard. You still need to put in the work though. As long as you try to show a genuine interest in the subject and make comments in class, along with showing an effort in the papers, you'll be fine. He's a funny guy as well.

Most definitely one of my favorite professors in all 4 years at WSU. I have had him for 3 courses and have sincerely enjoyed every one. He is incredibly educated and enjoys his profession. He is understanding and helpful and makes class interesting, always! Be sure to attend class and participate. He is funny and I would recommend him to anyone!

Probably the most understanding and accommodating professor you'll have in university! He is a very fair grader, and is always willing to meet before an essay is due to look it over. He also gives some extra credit which makes up for his challenging quizzes! Read the book, get on his good side and you'll do great!

Great professor, my favorite at Wayne. He's a funny guy that makes class not a drag - great considering I am not passionate about the subjects. The amount of time he devotes to helping students and answering questions makes him a gem that's getting underpaid for what he deserves. Great for recommendations too. Very personable.I'll miss him so much!

Buccellato's class was much better than Dean Herron's lectures. However, he grades your essays with zero feedback at all and expects you to come in to office hours in order to get from an A- to an A. Overall, one of the better Honors senior lecturers, but the grading was the biggest issue I had.

Pretty laid back and straightforward. Open to class discussions. Paper instructions are a bit confusing. Really helped with understanding Dean Herron's lectures. You will need to read the chapters (quizzes every 2 weeks. Also be prepared to back up your argumentspoints otherwise you will be marked down. The only issue was his unclear grading.

One of my most favorite professors. He is very knowledgeable and woke AF. Loved his lectures and discussions. He does grade a little more tough than the other lecturers though. I would definitely take his class again. I'm gonna miss him so much :/

Buccellato is an awesome senior lecturer, and he was so chill. He doesn't force you to read the insanely long reading assignments, so don't worry about those unless he specifically says to read them (which he won't). I'd recommend meeting with him before turning in your big papers because he gives good feedback and you'll end up with a better grade

he was so chill and helpful if you needed it. he doesnt make you read and has his own guidelines on how to right the papers and memos (which are usually easier than the main rules). highly recommend but republicans be warned he's very verbal of his opinions

Dr. Buccellato is one of the funniest and most honest professors at WSU... he's not afraid to tell you his radical thoughts and stances on things. He was my professor for the Discussion section of HON1000 and did a good job bringing up topics that Professor Deegan-Krause didn't mention in lecture. The only thing is his grading is a bit vague.

Super interesting crime class about gangs and organized crime. The book is online so don't buy it, each week you read a chapter and watch a few videos. Grades consist of attendance, quizzes, movie presentation, and your final essay. He is super chill and willing to help if you ask for it. He does not hold back on anything and he voices his opinion.

he's the goat. very few assignments, he gives you PLENTY of time to complete assignments, feedback isnt the best, but overall he's a fair grader

Love this man, gave a ton of extra credit (some on accident) and was generally laid back. He wanted active listening and participation, which is fair enough and necessary to pass the course. The discussions were engaging and he always gave us good prompts to respond to. Overall encourages you to think and consider multiple perspectives. Fair grader

I love Buccellato. Such a great man and teacher. Easy grader. In this class, you do 2 big papers. He's an easy grader, you watch movies and discuss what's wrong with the criminal justice system. He also takes you on field trips. I loved this prof so much I've taken him again and I plan on taking his HON4000 if its offered when I need it.

Professor Bucellatoo is willing to help if you email or go in his office hours after class. I really enjoyed having him as this is my first year in college. Sometimes he doesn't explain the assignment correctly but if you ask him to clarify he is willing to do that for you.

He's overall a funny, dedicated professor. He gives really good feedback on essays and will go in-depth on how you can improve. I find that he can be pretty vague when giving directions for assignments. For example, he marked people down on an essay for an instruction he gave in person that wasn't on the rubric. Overall a great prof though.

Awesome dude!! His class was by far one of the most engaging I've ever attended. It was really fun, and his lectures were super interesting to listen to. His workload was manageable throughout the semester.

I had bucelleto for HON 1000 and 2000 personally I really enjoyed his lectures and I think he gives enough time for an essay or quiz. I would definitely take him again.

Professor Buccellato was a great professor with lots of good insight and knowledgeable. Made lectures super interesting. Few grades in the grade book, however, and he can be a tough grader.

Brutally honest when it comes to grading and his interjections during student presentations, but the feedback was always constructive & insightful. Lectures were always interesting & engaging. He graded especially harshly on the final and because there was no clear rubric & some of the final itself was vague, many students got a lot of points off.

Scour book for quiz answers and you'll do great. As long as all content is in presentations and delivery is good, you'll do great! Start research paper ahead of time. As long as all required sources are present and paper has accurate info and good structure, you'll do great. If you can't ace this class, you are not prepared for college!

Long lectures, but he makes them engaging with discussions and video clips. There are only a few assignments: group presentation, group essay. The exam is take-home, and you apply what you learned in class and the linked big lecture. Rubrics are a bit vague, so make sure to ask him if you have any questions/need more details. He is a pretty tough grader when it comes to the research paper. Same thing for the final exam. Other class assignments are easy though. He is a very funny guy, however, he is very political. Most conversations in his class lead back to politics in some way, and they're based on his beliefs many times. Overall he is a decent prof.

Dr. Buccellato is one of the best professors I have ever had. He cares about the content he is teaching and is beyond knowledgeable. His assignments and grading criteria are clear. His classes are super engaging, fun, and interesting. He is not a traditional professor so do not expect that. I wish I could take more of his classes!!

There aren't many assignments so good luck. The research paper is a partner project, and he was not very willing to work with you if you get stuck with an unhelpful partner. If that doesn't go well kiss your grade goodbye. Likes to do presentations instead of papers so that was nice, but your grade is based on close to no assignments.

This class is super easy. You rarely get any homework, and there will be quizzes based on readings and documentaries; however, the quizzes are easy. Your grade is based on the group project, quizzes, and research paper. The research paper accounts for half of your grade, so doing well on it is important; however, it is a partner assignment.

he's really woke and nice but he lowkey gives a lot of work. we have quizzes and maybe 4ish papers? he says the other sections do more work but we got a 10 page essay as our final when no one else did. he also talks a lot which gets boring since the class is 2ish hours long. attendance is 25% of ur grade and almost all the work is group work.

Buccellato has a wild personality, but he makes this class fun. It is very light in terms of work except for the massive final paper (which went well for me personally), but it depends on your partner, so choose wisely. He is very disorganized in terms of rubrics and Canvas, but isn't picky in most assignments. Attendance counts, but that's easy.
