Nice person, pretty chill. Sometimes it gets confusing.

He takes the class at a good pace and he is very open to questions. He also had review sessions before the tests so you could show up with any problems you didn't quite understand and he would help you and guide you in solving them. Overall great professor.

Lecture's are not too boring, it decent especially at 8 in the morning, homework are harder than lecture example, but he is open to questions and lecture notes are always online, so class attendance is not mandatory but there is poppers and it 10% of your grade, but do attend since some topics are confusing.

I hate math and usually get a C, but this teacher is very helpful and clear. He is in CASA for tutoring and I came on his days and he helped me through my quizzes and practice tests. I received good grades on test and quizzes and was able to exempt the final exam :). Best math teacher I've ever had.

Andy (James) is very clear about concepts and is willing to help with anything if you ask, his tests are typical math tests, so you've got to put in some effort but Andy made this very easy to understand, notes are posted online. grades consist of hw(daily), poppers(attendance), quizzes(weekly), tests(3), Final (optional if making a B) Cool guy.

Professor Chang was great. I would definitely recommend him. The way your grade will be calculated is very clear and he makes himself available if you need help.

I had professor Chang my first semester at the University of Houston for an 8am. His class has definitely been my favorite yet. He's very organized and clear. Answers questions and I feel was very fair and easy to follow. Great professor.

Professor Chang is approachable and makes Math not a scary subject. If you need help he makes himself available. He is organized and at times inserts a joke or two during lectures. Poppers are given in class. There are homework and quizzes. Notes are posted online. He will also review quizz questions s and exams. Pretty awesome.

He's a really good professor. He breaks down math in simple terms which really helped for someone that is really bad at it. Poppers every class starting after the 3rd week. Quizes and home works were kind of all over the place in regards to due dates, but I think that they were the department scheduling so it wasn't his fault. He's funny too.

A great professor who is always willing and ready to help his students. Try to participate and pay attention in class. He offers exam study sessions; go prepared with questions from that units homework, quizzes and the provided practice exam. Make sure to do all of your homework and online quizzes!!

His an amazing professor. Cares that his students do well in class. His so easy to talk to and ask for help . He gives you a heads up on quizzes and hw. Has very helpful reviews sessions before quizzes . Math seems easy when he teaches it , his great at explaining . And keeps class even more interesting from time to time with silly jokes .

He is one of the best professors I experienced during my first semester. There is weekly homework and quizzes that aren't too difficult. If you need pre-cal, i recommend taking him!

Popper answers sometimes given in class, but make sure you attend class for the poppers. Just try your best on all of the grades and you should be fine. When taking the test, I recommend focusing a lot on the practice tests. LAUNCH tutoring helped a lot. I borderline passed precalc in hs but made an A here. Some grades are dropped at the end.

Professor Change is great. His notes are posted online and they are very helpful. He teaches with intuition which is essential for math courses. Do the work, stay organized, get tutoring help if need be, and you will pass with an A.

The textbook was an online version uploaded onto CASA. Attendance was through poppers given at every lecture. Open to questions during and after/outside of class.

Best Math class you will ever take! Take this class if you want to learn Math. Professor Chang teaches you to understand the material without leaving you behind. So, ask questions, do your poppers (attendance is mandatory) study, and do your quizzes. He covers most of the test materials in class. He is the epitome of a great educator.

Professor Chang has made math so much more enjoyable for me. He is very good at explaining material and puts the effort in to make sure everyone is understanding the concepts. I would have never thought math would be my favorite subject of the semester.

Explains things well in class. If you don't understand you can raise your hand or he will help you after class. Even if you miss class he posts his notes that are very clear and easy to understand. I missed tons of days but still got 100 on my tests. Able to take quizzes 20 for an easy 100. Homework is a hit or miss though.

Lectures are very easy to understand, the course work is a lot but very easy to get an A. The quizzes have 20 tries so no way you cant get a 100, the practice exams work as extra credit and also have 20 tries. Lecture is important to attend for the notes but he posts them online afterwards so if you miss, you can still catch up. HE DOES MOVE FAST!

I find his lectures to be a good pace and super thorough, I also think he is super patient bc every class he has to go over some basic math concept the rest of us learned in middle schl, 20 diff ways for the same 2 ppl, like how to factor...(srsly, how didyou even get into college)

Professor Chang was excellent at explaining the subjects in a way that's easy to understand and answered any and all questions his students had. I learned a lot in class.

The class was big. you do get points if you attend class but if you don't he fills out the notes and puts them online. there are quizzes and homework about 3 times every week.

If you get the chance to take Chang, do it! Super understanding and helpful even outside of class. He will help you with anything! If you can't make his normal office hours, he also goes to CASA tutoring for extra office hours. He's friendly and super easy to approach. Just make sure you do everything on time and you'll be set to get an A.

Lectures are straight forward and easy and if you have any questions just ask the professor will try their best to answer your question and help clear up any misunderstandings. Just keep on track of due dates and homework and class is a breeze. Exams are fairly easy just some minor studying should due. Make sure to do poppers easy grade.

His classes are very easy to pass, as long as you put in the work and try to make 100 on quizzes, practice tests for extra credit, etc. Very nice and caring guy. Super cute too

Professor Chang is my favoraite one in the university. If you get a chance to his class, just get it! His lecture is straight to contents you will have on the online quizs and tests. He explains everything clearly. Easy A if you already know the stuff. If you don't, just go to class and listen, and you shall get an A!

On top of that this professor is awesome!! he genuinely cares abt his students and puts effort into making sure everything is understood! poppers used to take attendance but he drops like 3 and other assignments at the end of the semester!!

This is my second class with Professor Chang and I absolutely love his style of teaching. Everything is explained in depth and is directly related to the homework and quizzes. Would definitely recommend to anyone who struggles with learning math straight from a textbook. He makes everything clear and makes sure that the class understands!

I was really bad at math before but he makes it incredibly easy to understand. He goes a bit too fast on some sections but he always answers peoples questions- very helpful and he's pretty cute so I definitely paid attention - he does in class poppers but he usually works through them with us so easy attendance grade

1 quiz, 1 homework due every week online. 2 poppers every week in class and it counts as attendance. He made math easier to understand, the class itself isn't hard if you pay attention. He is patient and answers questions if you're confused. 3 exams, you can opt out of the final if your grade is a B- or above by the end of the semester.

Class itself is like Algebra 2 in HS, if you did not do good in HS or have a solid foundation in math, it's best to pay attention and practice or you won't do good. He answers questions during lectures, explains things clearly. Sometimes fast. Tests are similar to PT's. Attendance is graded. EC on tests. Quizzes due twice a week. HW once a week.

Professor Chang makes his class easy to follow and understand. He goes through problems at a good pace and is always open to questions. If you pay attention, the quizzes and homework assignments won't be difficult. His practice tests are basically the test and he gives out extra credit for completing it.

I took this professor last fall and he is seriously the best. If you feel like math isn't your strong suit, he makes everything really clear in his lectures and is always willing to answer questions. The quizzes have 20 tries (literally) before you turn them in and the tests are exactly like the practice tests.

Professor Chang is very good at thoroughly explaining the material. His lectures are dull but they get the point across. As long as you show up and take notes, the quizzes and hw shouldn't be that difficult. There are 4 tests and a cumulative final. The practice tests are fairly similar to the actual tests so be sure to review those.

Pay attention/take notes in class & it will be an easy A. Prof. Chang is very helpful. He does his best to answer homework & quiz questions in class. The quizzes allow multiple attempts so even if you don't understand things the first time around it is possible to take it over & over till you make a good grade. Same with the practice tests.

Hands down a gem of a professor. Clear, organized, friendly. First math instructor I had that made math make sense and easy to understand. He puts blank pdfs of his notes up before his lectures and uploads the completed notes afterwords.

The exams are EXACTLY like the practice exams. You can take all quizzes and practice exams up to 20 times so there is NO reason why you shouldn't get a 100 on each quiz and practice exam. The course is graded by 3 tests each worth 20%, Poppers worth 5% and quizzes are 15%. The practice exam is extra credit for the exam (around 5 points)

TAKE THIS PROF! I failed Calc but retook it with Chang & got an A! He provides notes to follow along during lectures. Take really good notes & the class will be a breeze. Practice exams are exactly like the tests - multiple attempts are allowed & also on quizzes. Lowest quiz & hw grade are dropped and the final replaces your lowest test grade.

I suck at math but Chang rocks. Online b/c covid but he records lectures and answers all questions. A good amount of quizzes/homework/etc. but its super helpful bc you can take quizzes multiple times and practice tests are extra credit. He's funny too, no complaints.

Prof. Chang is great at teaching. Provides blank notes to follow along with during lecture, and he provides a review and a practice test (extremely similar to the exam, with multiple attempts) so exams are easy. Homework and quiz load is as expected for the UH math dept. Highly recommend, especially if you don't consider yourself good at math.

Professor Chang is very chill, likes to joke around every now and then, and is really good at communicating deadlines. If you don't attend live lectures they are recorded, but being in his live lectures is fun.

Professor Chang wasn't bad. Do your work and he's an easy A but he has a bad habit of constantly changing due dates for work. It's honestly really hard to follow along with at times. I'm not sure if he only does this with this one class or if he does it with others but you do need to stay on top of his due dates cause like I said it does change

Literally his class is so easy , he is so easy to contact and has so much patience with students . He is great at responding yo questions and makes class fun and bearable . Very sweet and fun professor , more professor need ti be like him because he is understanding with due dates and lets yall know about updates . Easy A+

Professor Chang was a good teacher and what was in his lectures aligned with our homework and quizzes. There was a schedule for all our assignments and it was pretty clear when due dates were. I'd recommend taking him if you aren't a math lover but need to take the class.

I'm not very math inclined, but Professor Chang is very good at breaking down material to where it's easy to understand. He's a really nice professor and is very patient when students ask questions. His lectures are really helpful and he uploads the recordings after lecture is done which is helpful to go back and review. Take him if you can!

Mr. Chang is really good at teaching and is really patient with his students. He does 2 lectures that you have to watch, but he has pre-typed notes you can fill out, really helpful. He also does quizzes and homework but they are pretty easy and help you learn. Tests are pretty easy too, i highly recommended this professor.

He is an amazing prof! He laughs and jokes around with students. His lectures really go in-depth into the material which is pretty straightforward and makes the quizzes and homework really easy to do after watching the lectures. Totally recommended! I've always hated math but 1311 with Prof Chang made me love it!!

Good math professor. We had review lectures for tests and fill in notes were provided to follow along with the lectures. I recommend doing the practice exams multiple times, you can get possible extra credit points from them.

I took him online and it was great! as long as you attend/watch lectures, do the assignments (which are relatively easy), and DO THE PRACTICE TESTS it is an easy A

Professor Chang is an amazing professor. I took the tsi 5 times and was so close each time but never passed. To get the hold off of my I have to take the developmental math course and he was the one who taught it. I was honestly skeptical at first taking it online but I finished and passed the course in a month with an A! Highly recommended!��

Professor Chang is an amazing professor and makes it easy for you to understand his lecture. He stays after class for a few minutes in case you have questions. He is orderly and clearly cares about his students. The workload was manageable with poppers and 1-2 quizzes each week with plenty of time and attempts to complete the quizzes.

This class was pretty easy. Class is mainly lecture-based, and we go over problems in class. He moves quickly, so it's easy to miss some things, and he will get a slight attitude if you ask him to go back to any previous slides. As long as you show up and study, you'll be ok. No attendance but you'll regret missing class, it'll put you behind.

Professor Chang was a great professor. Definitely take his class. He clearly articulated what was expected from us as students in the syllabus, so just look at it for reference. He did go a little fast in the lecture, so if you struggle a bit with math make sure you have your phone ready to take pictures of his notes because he will not post them.

Prof. Chang is very good. Weekly poppers, 2 quizzes a week, 1 homework assignment per week, 4 tests, and the final. Stay on top of the work and try not to miss class since the material is very much lecture-based.

He gives you lots of changes to retake your quizzes which I think is really decent and he doesnt assign too much work

I did not do well on my first exam in his class so I went and talked to him. And he gave amazing feedback on how I can improve. His feedback really helped! I wish all my professors are like this.

Professor Chang cares about his students. He takes his time with each lecture and makes sure his students understand the content. Attendance is not mandatory but poppers are given throughout class and are worth 5% of your grade. There are 5 tests (including final). You can get up to 5 pts of extra credit on every exam by taking the practice tests

He moves really quickly, so don't skip class unless you absolutely have to. Course is well organized, hardly any surprises concerning due dates. Not test heavy. Practice tests are SUPER helpful. But, he gets an attitude if you ask him to repeat things, esp if it's older material. Other than that, he's a solid choice.

I would definitely recommend this professor to anyone. His class is very easy and is self paced. As long as you complete Aleks by the end of the semester you will complete the class. Overall though, he is funny and can work with you if theres any trouble going on in your personal life that gets in the way of you doing your work.

He is a good chill professor. You have 2 quizzes, 1 homework, and poppers all is in CASA every week. Is a little fast-paced. The lectures are easy but then on the homework or quizzes, it would be more complex problems. As long as you go to class and do everything on time you'll be okay.

Prof. Chang is amazing and goes step by step. He takes the time to explain the math we're doing and how it's formulated. Highly Highly Recommend. Not to mention he's a cool character too.

One of the best professors I've ever had! His lectures are a bit fast-paced at times, but it should be a breeze if you skim through the chapter in the textbook the night before. He gives just the right amount of examples to help the material make more sense. He's overall a great prof. Would definitely take him again!

Dr.Chang is such an amazing professor. He really cares about his students. For my first exam, I didn't do too well so I went to talk to him and he gave amazing pointers. Then the next exam scored an A. Really take his advice into consideration because if I didn't take his advice probably would have ended up with a B!

He does a really good job of explaining thing in class and used a bunch of extra websites to help us visualize what we were doing. The quizzes felt annoying at the time but it forced me to practice a little every week and I don't think I would have gotten the grade I did if it weren't for them. All in all, a really good math experience.

One of the best professors to take math courses at uh. He explains the material thoroughly and gives great notes. He is kinda quick but makes an effort to slow down when the material requires a lot of steps. He allows students to practice questions as well as respond to confusing problems. Take his class you will love it ! :)

I think the professor goes into too much detail sometimes, which for me makes math a little bit more difficult. To be honest, if you are good at math then you will do good, I got a C on my first exam and still ended up with A. Make sure to study the homework and quizzes for the exams!

Professor Chang is a great professor to take for pre-cal 2312. His teaching method is very clear and understandable. The class itself is very well structured given that the schedule and material are outlined clearly by CASA. He is willing and able to help when you do not understand anything in specific. Do your part and you will succeed.

He's an amazing professor! but sometimes he goes into too much detail that can be confusing. If you're having trouble in his class he will definitely help you out, he wants you to pass not to fail. Bought a textbook ,but never really used it. If you get a chance to take him you definitely should!

all you had to do was to finish ALEKS and you passed the class to override your TSI. it was really easy. just stay on top of your ALEKS and you should be good. he was not really good at responding emails since most of the students helped eachother out but overall easy class. just take notes and ALEKS they have lessons for you which is helpful

He is cool and gives college advice. Textbook is available but never touched it once, he is a GREAT instructor. Poppers are for a grade, so attendance is unfortunately mandatory. We often have class on exam days but I do not think that is his fault I think that is a math department thing.

Overall, a very easy A. He has TONS of quizzes and a handful homework assignments. He offers up to 5 bonus points on each exam. I never studied for this class and did well so it is an easy class.

He's a really great lecturer. He explains the concepts in great detail and he is happy to answer any questions related to the material. He gives out plenty of work throughout the week due on the same day every week. There's plenty of opportunity to raise your grade and as long as you do your work, you should do well. Overall great teacher.

Chang is probably the best math professor I have ever had. He is very concise and knows how to teach his students, not boring at all. I would find it very difficult for anyone to get anything under a B, as long as you listen and go to lectures. There are 2 quizzes a week, along with a homework, but again as long as you listen you'll be good.

Professor Chang is fantastic! Very humorous, straight-forward, and attentive during lectures. Though attendance is not graded, still attend lectures because the poppers ARE graded and his notes are helpful for EMCF's and quizzes. He also does test review, gives extra credit via practice tests, and is accessible after lectures. 10/10 recommend!

Couldn't pass my TSI so I had to take his class. Very good at teaching!! But the lectures would get boring after a while. Had to spend 90 on ALEKS which was probably the worst part lol. Other than that it's a good and easy class.

Professor chang was an amazing math teacher. I felt that his humor and great ability to teach was the reason I enjoyed coming to class. Showing up to class and doing the quizzes and homework throughly will get you through the class. Also do the practice test and make sure you understand every topic on it.

This was basically a review for someone who's already passed alg 1 and 2 in high school. He teaches at a good pace, not as fast as Constante. You have weekly homework and quizzes on casa and attendance is counted using poppers, but everything is easy if you attend lectures and listen. He's very approachable and nice. Easy A.

Professor Chang is so great! I've always struggled with math, but he helped me through it and I passed and understood the course thanks to him. His class is easy if you show up to class and pay attention while taking notes. The way he takes notes is great as well, and he throughly explains everything. I'm not the best at math but the way he teaches is slow and careful. Know basic algebra and youll be fine. Please go to class and print out his notes before hand. 22 quizzes with 20 tries,10 hws, 3 tests, and 1 final. I recommend looking for study groups if you need help. Overall the class is easy but he makes it easier.

I definitely enjoyed taking his class! He is very clear and understanding and makes sure people understand before moving on. I would recommend printing out the notes before class and taking advantage of the multiple attempts for quizzes!

I came into math 1300 needing my TSI to be removed for good. Professor Chang was the right man, his attentiveness for his students to understand the material shows. He makes math look easy ! Follow his steps and math will be a piece of cake for you . He respects his students and ensures you understand before moving on. Will be taking him again!

He is very communicative and forgiving. Drops one homework and two quiz grades. There are lots of opportunities to make an A. The lecture can go a bit fast sometimes, so I recommend taking notes and practicing the material before class with the textbook so it is easier to follow along during class.

I was going to give him a 4 but I didnt want to mess up his perfect score lol, He's pretty good, and the course is easy, the only thing i dislike is he doesnt really have office hours for tutoring and it takes weeks to get grades back. Other then that, he's great, pretty nice, respectful, and patient. if you need the math credit, take him.

Proff Chang is one of those professors that you would never forget his name because of how passionate he is about teaching the course, and how he truly cares about his students. Had proff Chang for both College Algebra(MATH 1314) and Pre-Calc(MATH 2312). I can truly say that I enjoyed both classes. His teaching ability is incredible!!

So far, Professor Chang was pretty chill and he teaches the class as simple as it is. Definitely recommend him as our teacher, but beware of some tricks when you're doing a quiz. The tests aren't very bad, but if you pay attention and study as much as possible, you can ace this.

Absolutely bombed all of the tests in this class but he passed me hopefully he beats the case
