I took this class this past summer, so I didn't have a lab. I recommend that you pay attention to him in class as the slides that he posts online are rather redundant and kind of confusing. His study guide is very useful and he gives tons of extra credit, which can easily bring your grade up to an A if you do good or mediocre on his exams.

This class was much easier that I anticipated. Even if you're don't have a background in neuroscience or PNB, Chrobak explains complicated physiological concepts in a way that it makes it easy for most people to understand. On top of that, if you do well enough on the first two exams, you can skip out on the final.

Dr.Chrobak is one of my favorite professors at UConn. He is such a kind, genuine guy who cares a lot more about his students than some other psych professors. He makes hard topics super digestible and makes it impossible to fail. After having him for two classes I wish he would teach them all. such a cool guy!!

I loved Dr. Chrobak's class; took it a few semesters ago so bear with my memory here. He is an enthusiastic professor! Very knowledgeable and genuinely wants you to understand the material, so don't be afraid to ask for help. He has explained things over and over for me several times to make sure I understood the material. Ended the class with a 98

One of the best professors at UConn! Super laid-back, engaging, & interesting to listen to. His exams are open-note, open-book, and open-internet. It's literally impossible to fail. No homework for lecture, a few easy quizzes or projects for discussion. Plus, the final is optional! If you want a stress-free yet super engaging psych class, take him!

Chrobak is awesome. Offers so much extra credit, the grade is two exams (open note), and if you do well on those and do the EC, you don't have to take the final. The class itself is pretty broad in its overview of the brain, but he makes it digestible and easy to understand.
