What Students Say

One of the worst professors I've had

AMH2020 - 1.0 rating

The problem with professor Clark is that he is a nice man and he knows what he is talking about, but in his lectures he goes off on tangents and trying too hard to relate to his students

Do not take this class with him. He is not cooperative at all. All he does is to sing his song and everything else is TA's job. Emails? Forget about them, he never response to them. James Clark is a very passionate teacher when it comes to American History. He would fill in with his own personal stories and give various tales about certain topics which are amazingly interesting. This class is so easy but if you don't attend lectures, you'll fail the pop quizzes. The pop quizzes are based on definitions you learn in class, so it's best to not skip class. You can also average a 60 on the pop quizzes and still get an A overall. The textbook is free. You have 10 questions and a crossword due every week, easy grade boost.

I am in Professor Clarks class right now. Hands down my favorite professor. Made my 6:00-8:50 PM as enjoyable as possible. He will be missed greatly by our class. May he rest in peace. My heart goes out to his family and son I knew he had. If you are reading this, he always spoke very highly of you!

First off, Rest in Peace Prof. Clark. For the small amount of time I've got to know him this semester, it's clear that he cares about every single one of his students. He'd always joke with my friend and I who sat close up. I can't believe I won't be able to see him every Wednesday anymore. I hope he's in a better place now.

Professor Clark was hands down my favorite professor and one of my favorite instructors I've ever had. His ability to use the class in different scenarios in order to make you actually think about history was my favorite part of his class. Truly one of the best professors at UCF, Rest In Peace.
