Dr. Conway is the nicest guy! He is very clear and understanding. He sends out voluntary e-mails if you miss class to see how you are and if u need help with anything. He gives out practice exams that are almost exactly the same as the exams themselves

Cool guy. Explains in an understandable way. Took and FYE section and he told you everything you needed to know about school.

A good professor for first year students. The workload isn't to tough, and exams are easy to prepare for. This guy only want to help you do well. He'll be a guy that you still talk to after you've been in his class.

Very Helpful, funny, SMART. Makes you think but doesn't require anything that is not possible to do. Will give you all the help you need. Still remembers my name after a long time.Always stops to talk to you and is interested in how you're doing over all.

I love this guy! Really interesting stuff, he is a dork and has corny humor but he makes the class interesting. Explains stuff well, AND NO TEXT BOOK TO BUY!!!! thats 100 dollars that you dont have to spend! Fair grader easy tests, good to talk to. I reccomend him highly

He's got the personality of a pediatrican. He is very nice and understanding of the students. He knew everyone's name by the second class and said hello to me (by name) when he saw me just walking outside of class. He'll help you all he can and you can tell he likes his subject.

Oozes coolness, I've taken him twice now and hes the best teacher I've ever had, grades fairly, and always puts students interests first.

He's such a nice guy, and grades fairly. I didn't really pay attention in class, and I still got a decent grade. You don't need the book, so don't buy it. He doesn't give a heavy work load, and tells you everything that's on his tests. Take him!

He's a great guy and a good teacher. He may not be the most flashy teacher but he's humorous and does his best to make sure everyone does well in the class.

He gives a fair amount of assignments which if you put a little effort in you get an A on them and they really help your grade. Take him...he's great.

Professor Conway is easily my favorite professor I have had so far. He is a very caring guy and does everything he can to help you do well. He genuinely cares about all of his students and makes lecture interesting. His tests are pretty easy too as long as you take notes. Hope I can take a class with him soon.

Hands down the best professor at CCSU. I have to agree with what everybody else said, he is so caring and helpful towards his students. He knows every student's name and always greets them with a smile, love him! Definitely take him!!

LOVED this class. Prof. is very helpful. He knows all his students by name and genuinely cares about their opinion. Uses a variety of teaching methods and makes class interesting. Readily shares relevant personal anecdotes. Textbook is not needed and is never used.

yo this professor is cool. he dont judge you and he really tries to help you get a good grade cuz he cares. on some realness i wish he was my DAD! he is one of my favorite all time professors into my 3 years of college. He should run the psychology dept. he is the MAN!!! dont believe all the negative comments, they mad cuz they aint even try.

He is a really nice guy that actually cares about his students and wants them to do well. online homework assignments just read the article and comment. gives exam questions ahead of time, 8 questions blue book. 15 hours comm service was a breeze and tons of fun. take him!! =)

he is the best professor i've ever had. he has his PhD in organizational and environmental psychology. for intro to psych he makes it interesting, he is clever, laid back, understanding. i would highly recommend him to anyone

Prof:Conway is great teacher he really cares about his students and wants to see everybody pass, there is a lot of notes in the class but if you write them down you will pass. he does not use the book.

Best teacher iv had here so far. This guy is really helpful. His tests are and his research paper are hard. The tests will be easy if you study though. He puts everything on the tests online so you can see all the notes even if you missed. Overall great teacher!

Really nice Professor, and willing to help! Is very prompt about grading tests and other assignments. Very knowledgeable about psychology. The powerpoints were simple, and easy to understand.

So far I love this professor , he's very helpful and gives lots of second chances . We don't use a book so don't even buy it . He's entertaining and keeps the slides simple with many examples. I would suggest taking him ! If u try you will pass

Very nice guy, willing to help out his students if asked. The research paper was difficult, and tedious. If you study, the three multiple choice exams are not too hard. I would recommend him. Take Prof. Conway if you can!

This professor was very organized and very clear about all assignments. He was very helpful if you had any questions. During this semester I had health issues and he helped me so much when I missed class. Excellent professor! Would def take him again!

Professor Conway is one of the greatest teachers! He is perfectly clear in his lectures and powerpoints. As long as you pay attention, you will defiantly pass. 3 exams and one debate project and a couple readings that he posts on BB. He is always available for extra help if you need it. TAKE PROF. CONWAY! I don't think it gets better than him:)

He's a really good guy, and a great professor! He's so clear about all your assignments and what you need to do. I had him for PSY112 and FYE, and he's awesome in both. Doesn't use a textbook, and puts everything on blackboard. Easy A as long as you mostly go to class.

Conway was a good psych professor. He's pretty awkward and his lectures just draaaag on. It is very easy to pass this class and attendance isn't mandatory but i would go. 3 tests (non cummulative) and a research paper and sonas. pretty good GPA booster :)

James Conway is one of the best professors Ive had. Lectures consist of going over slides of information. A few reading assignments are given for homework. There are 4 tests(multiple choice)which may be challenging if you dont go over the slides. He knows the subject very well and is open minded. Hes just a really chill guy. Lectures may be boring.

Prof Conway is a really nice professor. His class is really easy, and so are the tests. He doesn't assign a textbook instead posts any reading assignments online. He e easy homework about every other week. His exams are really easy as long as you go over the study guide and do the pre-test he puts online. He's really understanding and gives help

Super helpful, very understanding, and very personable. Gives study guides and reviews for all tests, all tests are multiple choice, if you study the review you will be fine. Very kind and sweet, very clear during lectures, can be boring but he does show some videos and do some activities that get the students attention back. Would take again!!!!

There is no book and he puts the power points online. He gives review sheets and puts a review test online that has some of the questions that are on the test. You need to know about the articles that are assigned.

He was overall a good professors. Classes could get boring because he always taught off a powerpoint but he tries to include videos, etc. to change things up. There are 4 writing assignments and 3 exams. Required to do 6 SONA studies and the others count as extra credit. Not a challenging class if you pay attention and read the studies.

Professor Conway has been my favorite professor this semester! Really nice guy. He teaches in a way that is really easy to learn and remember things. Straightforward assignments. Even if you're not really into Psychology, this class is really enjoyable.

Conway is an amazing teacher! It is easy to tell from one of his lectures that he is very knowledgeable in the field of psychology, and also enjoys the subject. There is one research paper, but it is not too long and it is on a topic that you choose, and you also get class time to work on it.

Conway is very good at making what seems like dry content pretty in interesting. He tries to incorporate videos for clarity and will drop anything to help a student who is struggling. He is very considerate in that he asks questions to the class but respects them enough not to expect a response form everyone and wouldn't call on them. Great guy!

Professor assigns a considerable amount of work. Easy assignments but a very hard grader. Very very nice guy. His lectures are extremely boring after like the first month because they are extremely repetitive. Lectures can come off as patronizing because it is common sense that he tries very hard to emphasize.

Professor Conway is the only teacher that I had freshman year that I liked through and through. He tries his best to make everything he does interesting, shows videos, does group work, and overall is just a kind and approachable guy. If you do the work, you will get the grade. No questions asked.

Great professor. Thoroughly explains content and gives great lectures. You can truly tell he cares about his students learning and how they do. All the test content is in the powerpoints, just study the powerpoints and readings and you should be fine! 10/10 awesome professor!

Prof Conway is a very good guy. He cares about his students and wants the best for them. His class is based on 4 exams, one paper, assignments and Sona credits, which count as extra credit if you do more than the requirement. You have to study for the exams but he gives study guides and provides guiding questions, some of which are on the exam too.

Very good man. One of the kindest people I have met. Be prepared to do some reading, but he posts everything online, saving you 100s of dollars from buying a textbook. I've taken 2 of his classes and he is a very wisdomful man. Very humble. His class changed my life!

I don't understand why there are negative reviews about him. If you want a professor who understands and wants you to learn and do well, then take his class. He never makes you feel ashamed for asking questions and is always available outside of class. The material can be hard to understand, but this is because it's just a challenging topic.

Professor Conway is a enthusiastic teacher, as he is knowledgeable on Psychology. Most of the info can be obtained from his slides. His class isn't difficult, everything is open notes, including exams! Just do the Connect quizzes, assignments, and also the extra credit! There are surveys called Sona where you can get up to 15 extra credit points!

Dr. Conway is one of the best professors I have ever had. His lectures are educational and he is very passionate about the material he teaches. Assignments are interesting and he gives good feedback. He is also very flexible, I had a stomach bug one day when I had an exam and he let me make it up, which many professors wouldn't. Great educator!

I really appreciated professor Conway's class. I had him for my freshman specific class and he was super caring and really helped mentor students and made sure everyone had an opportunity to succeed. His lectures were very in-depth and I learned a lot of interesting new facts about different concepts.

Dr. Conway is fantastic. Lectures are great, he's very knowledgeable, and he is always willing to meet with students for whatever they need. Has you turn in drafts for your research proposal that he gives thorough feedback on, making it almost impossible to do bad. He's very sweet and makes a three hour class bearable

Professor Conway did a great job teaching introductory psychology. He is clearly proficient in the material, extremely organized, straightforward, and provides reminders about upcoming assignments and exams. He also allows one-sided cheat sheets on exams which was super helpful. Wish he could teach some of my other intro courses!

He is a great guy. This class isn't mandatory attendance but majority of questions on exams are based on class lectures. He knows intro to psych like the back of his hands. The grade in this class is based off exams so I would highly recommend going to class. The topics at times were difficult to understand, but overall he is a great professor.
