Was VERY helpful with notes and handed out a review sheet of the questions that were on his tests. His Final exam was optional if you did well on his 4 tests!

Professor Cosgrove is such a great teacher and a sweet person. He's funny, helpful, and down to earth. He explains the material clearly and makes kind of an otherwise dull subject interesting.

Not a fan of his teaching style, I study for hours and find that he presents way too much information for whats on the exam. I would never recommend him as a teacher.

Gives many materials to study with, including practice exams, so I didn't need to buy the book (I have a different one from last semester). Taking the summer course with 3 others so it has been a bit overwhelming but I think if this was your only class it would be much easier (I have to play catch up right now!) overall, good teacher

He is very wonderful professor. Study and memmorize whatever he teaches and explains in his lab, you will get an A easily, for sure. His lecture is somehow boring and very long. But trying to re-write his power point in main points and details. Study-understand-memorize, you will get a B easily in his lecture. I highly recommond him.

I absolutely love this professor. He is straight forward in lecture; gives you example of questions that he will ask on the test. Do the study guide and you will be perfectly fine. For lab, explain everything that will be ask on the test. He is a must take!!!!!

Best teacher ever ! All teachers must take his example. He is just a GOOD teacher. He knows his material, and loves it and does werything for student to love it. I would take him again and again and again if he was teaching the others classes I have to take.

Prof. Cosgrove is the best professor I have ever taken. He is very, very helpful. Every exam has extra credit questions to boost your grade. If by any chance, you missed or did not understand a particular topic or lab work, he will walk you through it step by step and discuss it one on one. I hope there are more professors like him.

I LOOVE Cosgrove! Lectures and labs are great, and he tries his best to make A&P as easy as possible, but the class is still hard though! Take him, but you have to register early cause his class fills up in hours. Will write you recommendation as well, even if you only spent one semester with him.

He is a really great professor. If you want to understand and pass Anatomy 1 or 2 definitely take him. He is really nice and will help you in class. His lectures are powerpoint, so print them out and do the study guide. You can get an A in the class as long as you do well in lab and do the study guide he provides in lecture.

He's really nice and is pretty lenient of spelling for the lab exams. For lecture, all he does is read off the slides, but the exam is pretty straight forward. 10/10 am going to take him for anat 2.

I took Professor Cosgrove's class for both A&P I and II. It was a great decision! He's very straightforward about what's going to be on exams and when lecturing in general. His powerpoints come straight from the textbook, but contain the key points he wants us to know. He's very patient and has a great sense of humor. Would take his class again!

Dr. Cosgrove is one of the best biology professors. I strongly encourage you to take him for BIO150. His exams are straightforward and they are based off his power point slides. He tells you what to focus on for the exams. He is very helpful during lab. He is very funny! I enjoyed his class and his teaching style. I recommend him!

I took his class (BIOL 212) in Fall 2015. I recently took BIOL 213 with a different professor.. did get an A but it's still not as great as my experience with Prof. Cosgrove. I am only writing this review now because I just realized how much I appreciate his teaching skills way better than many A&P professors out there! I highly recommend him!

Amazing & straight forward. His exams are straight forward, usually straight out of his lectures. No surprises. He makes reading the textbook more manageable because his lectures are thorough. Cosgrove is amazing. His lectures are heavy and has a lot and trust me a lot of PowerPoint slides BUT you only need to know whats in the study guide. No quizzes, no hw, just exams with bonus points. His labs are easy to follow. He explains very well what you need to do and guides you if you get lost. He is always there answering your questions.

Professor Cosgrove is the sweetest and best biology professor! There's no homework or quizzes. All you all you have to do to ace his exams is memorize the content from his study guides! He's a little boring, slow at grading, and unclear at times, but you will see that there is nothing to stress over. I honestly barely tried and got a B! TAKE HIM!

His labs are easy too, but lab exams are hard because it is made by the bio dept. He does put some questions for extra credit on all exams. There are 5 lec & 2 lab exam. I am taking him again for a better grade.

Dr. Cosgrove is the best science professor i've ever had. He is very clear with his lectures and makes sure everyone is on the same page in lab. He's very accessible outside of class. Very patient professor. He gives his students a good amount of extra credit. Wish he taught Micro and Genetics :(

An awesome bio prof! Study the study guide that he gives you and there will be no reason why you won't get a 100 on all your lecture exams. For your lab exams (only 2) make sure to actually understand the significance within each lab. Make sure to participate in your group during the lab as well. He gives you bonus question on each exam as well!!!

Prof. Cosgrove is the best anatomy professor! His lecture exams are all multiple choice and has 10 extra credit points on them. Lab exams are not set up by him so if he sees something confusing or something he hadn't taught yet, he wouldn't count the question. Definitely requires studying and memorizing but SO worth it!

This course is tough & he makes sure we all understand it. He gives extra credit on exams too. He really wants us to succeed. Attendance is not mandatory, but attending on lectures really helps to understand the material. He is always available to help, and he likes it too. He explains it in less and 5 min. All you have to do is knock on his door.

The BEST professor I had at MC. Took BIOL 150, 212, & 213 with him. Lecture exams are all multiple choice & the study guides cover all the material you'll need, no surprises whatsoever. Always willing to help & flexible with due dates. Didn't really use the textbook in his classes but still useful. Really funny, always looked forward to his class.

He is the best! We need more professors like him... I had Bio150, Bio212, and Bio213 with him. He is amazingly easygoing. Take as many Bio courses with him as you can!

He was nice. Didn't communicate with the class well at all though. Never answered emails. Only graded us from our exams. Lots of homework but none were graded. Two lab reports. Four lecture exams. Two lab exams. Overall very easy and straightforward. Good choice if you want an easy A. But be prepared to stay on top of the work.

Professor Cosgrove was great! I took him for Summer 1 so it was an accelerated course but he truly cares for his students. He is a fair grader and tried to make sure we understand everything but we must ask questions. You must study a lot since the course was only exam based and no homework but overall his class was interesting and I learned a lot.

Professor Cosgrove is truly amazing! He cared about his students and it very straightforward on what the exams will consist of so its makes it a bit easier to know what to study for. I took him for Summer 1 so it was a 7 week course but I did learn a lot. Be sure to take notes, ask questions and study since this is a hard class in general!

Took him in the summer of 2022 for AP 2!! It's overwhelming if you are working because it's a lot of information to keep in your head. He is an amazing professor I would take him for all the biology classes If I could. Study his Study Guides and you will pass this class!!

Professor Cosgrove is all you can hope for when taking a difficult class like Anatomy. His grading criteria is clear as well as his expectations and course content. If you pay attention to what he says you will succeed in this class. He offers chances for extra credit. He is very easy to get in contact with and very accommodating.

Love this guy! He really grew on me! Be prepared to enjoy a daily dose of dad jokes and a case of the yum yums as he talks pizza, sushi, and tacos. As a fellow foodie, can't blame him! Can't say I even struggled. Yes, I got a B because I was studied lecture too late because his study guide is literally the exam itself, so I was too relaxed. My fault. But Professor Cosgrove is a MUST! if you choose anyone else for A&P, you'll need to start praying. Too much memorizing in a short amount of time will suffocate you. edit: I GOT AN A!

Only 4 lecture exams and he give us extra questions for extra credit, besides that there's nothing else for lecture. all of his exams are based on his study guides which may seem a lot but it's not that hard, put in the time and work and you will pass this class. he did leave for medical reasons and doesn't respond to emails.

I TOOK BIOLOGY THIS SEMESTER WITH COSGROVER AND IT WAS SUPER EASY. IT HAS 4 MULTIPLE CHOICES EXAMS. IT PROVIDES YOU WITH A STUDY GUIDE WHICH MAKES IT EASIER TO STUDY FOR THE EXAM AND IT DOESN'T GIVE YOU HOMEWORK. THE LAB CLASS MADE IT INTERESTING. WE ONLY DIDA A FEW LAB REPORTS DURING THE SEMESTER AND IT WAS VERY FLEXIBLE.

Prof Cosgrove is great for anyone who can teach themselves. He is accessible outside of class. He is very nice and understanding. He only has 4 lab and 4 lecture exams, but all exams have extra credit. Anatomy is a heavy class; his lectures and lab reviews are so long and boring. Please ensure you study bc such heavy material!

4 lecture and lab exams for both 212 and 213. The material is not trivial and there is a lot of it. He is fun and on your side. Attendance is not mandatory but it's your grade. He also provides study guides and videos.

I love prof Cosgrove. He is a traditional teacher (gives you the info you have to make sure to study). He wants everyone to do good. His study guides are amazing and cover everything on the test, there's no blind siding or anything. He is direct. You don't have to attend class but you do miss out on material especially in Labs.

He gives study guides for every exam and offers all the help he can to struggling students during office hours. He doesn't require attendance so if you don't want to go to lecture and just study from his slides and study guides then you'll be fine. His lectures are kind of pointless since he essentially just reads straight from the slides.

Prof Cosgrove is amazing!! he doesn't require attendance for lecture or lab but id def recommend going since he goes over what is going to be on the test. A&P is a lot info so you do have to study and put effort in but Prof Cosgrove makes it so much easier. He's the best!!
